  1. Wasn't it the last years always that a rumor list for the second half year's regular sets was appearing about one month after the first rumor list? If so, we could await rumors of the second half year's regular sets soon. Btw: Wasn't the Swampspeeder released exclusively via S@H? If so, there is still a little chance that we'll see a small OT set in the beginning of 2011. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  2. If you've got the possibility to visit Germany - of course don't miss the chance since there are a lot of places which are really interesting and exciting to visit. But the rest of Europe is very interesting, too, imo esp. France. My home is very small - so in contrast to KimT and Holodoc I sadly can't offer you an accommodation. I'd be glad you come for a cup of coffee neverhtless. So if you are on your way to Bavaria (where there are a lot of places you must have seen) don't hesitate to stop by. Well, when I look through your BS gallery I see a lot of excellent WW MOCs I don't remember you have shown here before (I only remember the train station and the saloon). I only miss pictures of the interiors of some of these MOCs. So why not firstly showing these to us?! A comment would be guaranteed. Klaus-Dieter
  3. Brickset says that 10155 was released already in 2009. So supposably whung got some wrong information. I totally agree with you, romdam! Klaus-Dieter
  4. Perhaps some useful and some less useful accessory like in every other advent calendar. E. g. some different types of cannons, some cargo stuff, a little transport vehicle, a table with a screen and a chair (as control room) etc. I really would like to get a SW advent calendar, too, but only if it comes with a decent number of useful OT minifigs. (If it includes only CW/PT minifigs - no, if it only includes already released main characters - no.) But a SW advent calendar would surely be minimum 3/2 that expensive than the regular, non-licensed advent calendars. It sounds unbelievable to me that there'll be a SW advent calendar. On the other hand TLG surprised us in the last years with so many sets we would never have expected - so nearly everything is possible. Klaus-Dieter
  5. Thank you very much for this rumor information, Cwetqo! A yacht and a ferry would be completely awesome! I could well imagine a yacht to be about 30 Euros and be sold as the limited edtition set in June. A ferry sounds very likely because of three reasons: 1. To my knowledge the Creator ferry (which was released some years ago) was sold very well. So why shouldn't a ferry in the City theme sell very well, too?! 2. Always only releasing the same sets but in different colors or with only minimum changes does get really boring. So a ferry would be a great variety to only container ship. (This does not consequently mean that there won't be a container ship, too.) 3. A ferry would connect the "only" transportation theme with the more civilian theme - it would connect cargo transport with civilian transport (since not only cargo and vehicles are transported by a ferry but even passengers). A ferry could either be sold as a seperate set or - which is imo much more likely - as the main part of the new big harbor set. So a possible list of imo possible sets for summer 2011 might be: June: Yacht (limited edition) (30 Euros) yacht and family (mother, father and son/daughter) July/August/September: -Harbor (90 Euros) ferry (with bridge and - if we've got much luck - even a small room where the passengers rest during the trip (e. g. a small cafe or bistro)), small pier with gate, white-green truck, civilian car (hopefully with roof, car doors and in blue or black color), captain, harbor worker, truck driver and car driver -Cargo Ship (50 Euros) cargo ship (with bridge and engine room) with some containers, captain and two harbor workers -Beach (20-30 Euros) beach with small coastguard watchtower, - if we've got much luck - maybe even a small beach bar, some sun umbrellas and sunloungers, a surfboard with sails, a palm, a CG watchman, a woman and a man, maybe even another woman and some kid(s) -Ice Vendor (3-10 Euros) either ice vendor with street car (3 Euros) or ice vendor with car (10 Euros) If these will be the sets TLG will release in summer 2011, this would be absolutely  ! What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  6. Sorry for that I have to completely disagree in this point, ThatGuyWithTheBricks! It's right that there have been a lot of Hoth sets in the past. But: 1. Many of these sets were always only re-designs (Snowspeeder, AT-AT, ...). 2. Until TLG did concentrate only on the fight scenes concerning Hoth. But there are some very important locations which haven't been done before: the medical room in which Luke is vetted, a small floor, the round big laser cannon and of course a decent control room. 3. There are some very important characters left which TLG hasn't been released before: the medical droid (which didn't appear in an OT set until now), injured Luke and Major Bren Darlin. Consequently a decent Hoth Base which mainly concentrates on its interior is really needed. Plus TLG could design a new Hoth Base similar to The Battle of Endor: a big white building with medical room, control room and small hangar, snowspeeder, big round cannon, e-web cannon, Major Bren Darlin, injured Luke, medical droid, Hoth Leia, two Snowtroopers, two Rebel Troopers, Darth Vader and a new Rebel Snowspeeder Pilot. Imo that would be amazing! And I have to admit that imo a set like this isn't too unrealistic to be awaited for the 2nd half of 2011. Klaus-Dieter
  7. Welcome back to EB, Brick Miner! It's great to see you here again! And many congratulations to your new job! I'm absolutely convinced that you'll do your job perfectly! I really hope that you'll be aible to use the excellent designs of you Western MOCs and the amazing Western, City and Arabian torso designs in your portfolio for actual sets in the next years! To see some official sets like your WW MOCs on the shelves of one of my local toy shops or at least on S@H would be awesome! I wish you will have again a very nice time here! Btw: Don't you want to present us some of your excellent WW MOCs you have in your BS folder but didn't show us here on EB yet?! A comment by me would be sure! Klaus-Dieter
  8. Well, from which I remembered, the prelim picture showed for the Police Minifigure Collection a police officer with helmet on a quadbike, a bandit (new, grey torso) and a small automated teller or safe. This I remember very clearly for sure. But there were even two more minifigs. Maybe a regular police officer with white cap and the police officer with the new torso. I got the info that the dealer's catalogues will arrive in about two or three weeks. I'll wait and try. Klaus-Dieter
  9. I totally agree with you, typo! But what set would you expect for next year? It's very hard to say which set there could be - and whether there will be any other set at all. A big, decent train station is missing since about a decade now. The one from 2007 was too small and much too <insert that tiresome argument>. The only two interesting elements this year's (2010) "train station" includes, are the taxi and the pedestrian bridge. Apart from that this "train station" is more some sort of train stop - much too small for a decent train station. Our cities need a big, decent train station like the one of them which were released in the ninetees! But I highly doubt that this won't happen in 2011. Klaus-Dieter
  10. Let's hope that it won't be only rumors or games! But perhaps your source isn't that familiar with history and so saw following -some buildings looking similar to pyramides = "Egypt(s)" -Natives looking similar to Native Americans = "Indian(s)" ===>> Aztecs or Mayas theme (like the Amazonas Adventurers (but maybe without adventurers) in reality What do you think? Btw: Cwetqo, do you think that your source is reliable? I mean: If he or she is a toy shop owner of a toy shop where you often buy and who knows you very well or someone who works at the right position in the Lego Company - then the source is reliable. But if it's only someone like you and me and she or he can't say you from where she or he got his or her information, then I would be a bit careful. Klaus-Dieter
  11. Hello everybody! I've got some news for Trains in 2011. It doesn't sound very exciting but it seems as if the flexible tracks will be sold in regular toy shops, too: 7499 Flexible Tracks - (17 Euros) supposably 20 Euros in shops and at S@H I personally think and fear that this will only be 8867 - but now being sold in regular toy shops, too, and not in Lego Stores and via S@H. That there'll be some minifigs or vehicles included is imo very unlikely. (I haven't seen a picture of the set - so I don't know.) What do you think? More news about possible upcomming Trains sets in 2011 or pics I regrettably don't have at the moment. Klaus-Dieter
  12. NEWS: Regrettably no pics yet, but at least the set numbers, set names and prices (for Germany) for the new Police sets: 7279 Police Minifigure Collection - (7 Euros) supposably 8-9 Euros in shops and at S@H 7285 Police Dog Assignment - (9 Euros) supposably 10 Euros in shops and at S@H 7286 Prison Transport - (15 Euros) supposably 17-18 Euros in shops and at S@H 7498 Police Station - (90 Euros) supposably 100 Euros in shops and at S@H ???? Police Truck - (35 Euros) supposably 40 Euros in shops and at S@H Klaus-Dieter
  13. With "Indian" most people associate Native Americans, don't you think? Plus I think that Aztecs, Mayas e. g. tribes would be mentioned seperately if these were released - not under the name "Indian(s)". Equally if Native Americans, Aztecs or Mayas - more than one new (or since a very long time not released) non-licensed historical theme in one year is absolutely excluded. These themes would compete - with the consumer having to decide whether to buy sets of this or that theme (since the most consumers can't efford all sets they' like to get) - not a very well advised marketing strategy. Klaus-Dieter
  14. Cwetqo, I don't want to sound unfriendly nor to be unfriendly. And I even don't want to mini-mod. But please firstly make sure that the info you got from your source is absolutely reliable. If it doesn't, than feel free to post it here nevertheless, but please point out that it you aren't sure about this source being true. And please don't post set wishes here. If nevertheless, than please point out that it's only a wish of your and not an info you get. I hope I didn't sound unfriendly since we all are very lucky about everybody who posts rumours and info about new sets here. Since after my knowledge TLG has no rights to sell seperate minifigs but only BPs and regular sets, it's absolutely unlikely that there'll be a SW advent calenar. For the second half of 2011 I could well imagine that we'll get the following OT sets: -small Hoth Base (the medical droid from Palpy's Shuttle could very well be used there, too) -MF (but don't await too much - if at all than it surely will be sold as a regular set for not more than 120-130 Euros - so too much interior details and many new minifigs can imo regrettably not be awaited) -exlusive Cloud City (much bigger, more detailed, with more and partly new minifigs included set, supposably not that expensive than 10188, but surely minimum that expensive than the AT-OT With Dropship; new Boba, new Han and new carbonite mold as indicator) Btw: This year we got seven SW sets in the first wave. So there's still hope that we'll see a seven SW set in Jan./Feb. 2011, too, although it wasn't seen and mentioned before - hopefully a small OT set. But since we have now scans of the SW sets of the dealer's catalogue and since no other set is mentioned there, I must admit that this is very unlikely. Klaus-Dieter
  15. Maybe you're right, prateek, esp. since Belville is mainly addressed to girls. But I personally really would much more prefer a Paradisa-like minifig-scale Belville theme (which would supposably go very well with the City theme) than a Belville Fantasy theme. From here: Wait, wait ... I think that's now a bit too much of phantasy of your source, Cwetqo! You really have to agree that - if we will get a new additional historical theme in 2011 - it's absolutely impossible that we'll see two new historical themes. So either Egypts or Indians. Plus an Indian theme is absolutely unlickely - esp. since for sure firstly a "regular" Western theme would appear (since for kids cowboys, bandits and sheriff are surely more exciting than Indians). Klaus-Dieter
  16. Mirandir already mentioned a long time ago that there won't be a new hospital or Hospital theme sooner than 2011. Apart from that, a new Hospital, RESQ or CG theme surely will be released in winter or spring - and not in summer. I totally agree with you all concerning a new Harbor theme in summer 2011. Reason: More than one really new theme (like 2009 Farm) or at least since a long time not released theme (like 2011 Space) can't be awaited for one year. So I fear that we unluckily have to wait for a Zoo theme and more civilian sets until 2012. But there surely will be elements included in a new Harbor theme which will be even civilian - like e. g. a some civilians, a yacht, if we've got much luck even a small beach or at the best a small yacht harbor. (A pleasure cruiser is absolutely excluded since it would be an Exclusive. And since we already had a big ship as an Exclusive (even when it was in the Pirate theme (10210) there for sure won't be another exclusive ship only one year after that.) But if/when we will get a new Harbor theme in summer 2011 this consequently means that we won't get a civilian theme in 2011 and that we need a big civilian set. So it's imo very likely that we'll see a/the City Square as a big Exclusive in January 2011, don't you agree? Klaus-Dieter
  17. Well, I partly agree with you, Rocketbilly. On the one hand there are some reasons which speak against an Egypt theme: -The very supposable ongoing of Kingdoms plus PotC are already two historical themes. -It's always a risk to release a theme which didn't exist before or which was released over a decade ago. -There have always been rumors around here on EB which partly were wrong, too. So Cwetqo's source might be wrong, too. On the other hand there are even some reasons which speak for an Egypt theme: -Pyramides are very fascinating for kids. So it would be a theme which would even address JFOLs. -Like with the new Farm theme and the comeback of Space in City, TLG seems to want to test and open the market for more and different themes than only the themes which recur from year to year (like Police, Castle, Technic etc.). And an Egypt theme did never exist or - if you count the Adventurer's one - only exist one time before in the whole history of Lego. So it would be a try worth. Why shouldn't it be that a success like Pirates or Farm?! -Playmobil showed Lego in the last decade that not only the always returning themes like Police, Castle, Technic etc. are selling very well, but even different historical themes and civilian sets (or at least sets which include civilian stuff, too). And TLG reacted to this (like you can see with the release of e. g. Farm, Pirates etc.). We even don't know whether - if there will be an Egypt theme in 2011 - it will be a complete "only" historical theme (like Playmobil's) or a redesgin of the Adventurer sets of the late ninetees. Imo the chances to get an Egypt theme are 50:50. But as long as we don't get some set numbers and names or some pics, we can only speculate. That sounds plausible, Mirandir. No, I didn't. Do you know anything whether they'll be now in minifig scale or again (like the last years) with bigger figs? I regrettably don't know what we'll see for Exclusives next year, BrickWild. But I have some guesses: For Star Wars a big Cloud City is very likely. For Creator a Post Office or Bank is very supposably. For the Winter theme a candy shop is very supposably. For City a City Square is very supposably. Well, in less than four weeks we (very supposably and hopefully) will know which Exclusive we'll get in January 2011 (since BrickCon is on the first weekend of October). Klaus-Dieter
  18. That's a great Winter MOC. The Red Brick! I really it! It looks really like a train station placed in the Winter Village! Only some suggestions for improvement: 1. There have to be some lights outside on the platform, too. 2. The red flowers don't fit that perfectly since it's winter. I'd replace them buy two benchs. 3. There has to be a possibility that the passengers can wait inside the station, too. I'd add a bench or two seats in the interior (e. g. on the left side next to the chinmey). 4. The golden tumblers don't fit that perfectly. I'd either replace them by beverage cans or I'd add two taps. 5. A timetable is missing. If you would add/change these things it would be the perfect addition to 10199 and 10216! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  19. To get sureness I was this afternoon at one of my local toy dealers who did (like I, too) not remember having seen some Egypt sets/theme in the dealer's catalogue for the first half of 2011. If at all, we have only the chance to get an Egypt theme if Toy Story and Prince of Persia, Space Police and Power Miners won't get new sets in 2011 (when you assume that there won't be more waves in 2011 than in 2010 - which is imo very likely): 2010 ===> 2011: winter/spring: Atlantis ===> Atlantis Power Miners ===> NinjaGo spring/summer: Toy Story ===> Cars (in System scale) Prince of Persia ===> Pirates of the Caribbean World Racers ===> ?World Racers? Atlantis ===> Atlantis summer/fall: Kingdoms ===> Kingdoms Harry Potter ===> Harry Potter Space Police ===> ?Egypts? What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  20. You've got the information from somebody who only saw pics in a catalogue? So if this person does not him- or herself work inside the Lego Company, it's very hard to believe that the information on an Egypt theme is right. Reason: The dealer's catalogue which is available at the moment only shows the sets for the first half of 2011. And since I had the luck to have a look inside it, I can report that I saw nothing which looked like an Egypt, Greek or Roman theme. (It might be that I missed one page - but that is very unrealistic since I'd really look forward to a decent Egypt theme). Btw: In contrast to Romans vs. Greeks which's buildings are very difficult to seperate, Egypt buildings are that unique that you can't mix it up with Roman or Greek buildings. Yes, I myself posted this information here on EB some weeks ago. Klaus-Dieter
  21. Thank you very much for the link to those pics, Navy Trooper Fenson! The many new minifigures look excellently! Nevertheless I don't care much since all these sets are from the CW/PT - so nothing for me. It's really a shame that TLG does not release one single OT set in the first wave! Klaus-Dieter
  22. If there is an Egypt theme in 2011, I would really like to see and even think that it is realistic to await: (size, price and number of minifigs oriented on the current Kingdoms wave) Big Pyramide (100 Euros) with treasure/grave-chamber, oasis with draw well and palm, small hut, sarcophagus, sedan, treasure, camel, two grave robbers, two Egypt warriors, pharaoh in white-golden outfit, mummy and two men to carry the sedan Big Tomb (50 Euros) with many columns, treasure/grave-chamber, treasure, sarcophagus, camel, grave robber, mummy, two Egypt warriors and pharaoh in tiger outfit Sphinx (20 Euros) wih treasure chamber, treasure, grave robber, Egypt warrior and skeletton "Black Wolf Statue" (10 Euros) (like 5938) with hidden treasure, skeletton, grave robber and Egypt warrior Hidden Treasure (7 Euros) column with hidden treasure inside, Egypt warrior and grave robber Cleopatra (3 Euros) with throne Egypt Priest (3 Euros) with altar What do you think? All in all I hope that an Egypt theme will - at least which concerns the architecture - be very similar to the awesome Egypt theme of 1998/1999 - but without vehicles and adventurers. Klaus-Dieter
  23. Thank you very much for this great review, The Cobra! I voted for outstanding since this set is simply amazing! Con: nothing Pro: -four different basketball players -complete playing field with two basketball baskets -fence and small bench An excellent small set with a lot of playability and with a content that arouses not only kids' but even teens' interest in Lego! I really hope that TLG will come back with some Sports theme or at least a basketball field and a skatepark in the City theme in the near future! Klaus-Dieter
  24. Thank you very much for this great review, The Cobra! I voted for outstanding since this set is simply stunning! Con: nothing Pro: -three minifigs - one female of them -three surf boards with sails -small beach bar An excellent small set which offers unequaled opportunities! I really hope that TLG will come back with some civilian oriented harbor and beach stuff in the near future! Klaus-Dieter
  25. That's an awesome Western MOC, ANT! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and would fit in every Western landscape! Only two ideas for improvemt: I'd add a hole where you get in- and outside the mine and I'd add a small hut as resting place or briefing room for the miners during work. Otherwise it's perfect! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
