Well, there's always the possibility to throw in for the according scene or vehicle unfitting minifigs only for that people get to buy the set - and TLG already did so in the past. So it's even not excluded that TLG will include a fleesh Lobot minifigure in the MF. And again about Cloud City: Like already mentioned, if we get one in 2011, I bet it'll be "only" 150-250 Euros. I really wouldn't have something against this price - this would already be expensive enough. But I fear and bet that in this price range we couldn't get a new Cloud City that would satisfy our not that undemanding wishes (for more and seperated rooms and some new minifigs). Klaus-Dieter

Well, since the Bank & Money Transfer will suppoably be more a civilian set, perhaps they even mixed the release date for 3661 up and it's June (not January). But for 3648 I could well imagine it being released in January. Looking at the price it seems to be about the same price like the 3222 Helicopter And Limousine which was released at the beginning of the year, too. If I remember correctly, we got pics of 3222 firstly very late the year. So this will be the same case here, too. But - like already mentioned - since this year is soon over, this shouldn't take too long. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this news, whung and nrg! Finally at least two OT sets in 2011! Ewok Attack: Supposably it'll be more or less a re-design of the original set: -two different Ewoks -one Stormtrooper -one Scouttrooper -one speederbike but even some new contents (since The Battle of Endor was firstly released last year - so they can not include all the same stuff): maybe -a tree -Endor Luke I very supposably will get this set since I want to elaborate my Endor diorama. Millenium Falcon: Supposably it'll be more or less a re-design of the last version - but hopefully this time in episode 6 "style" with General Lando, Nien Numb and a Rebel Technican. And I really hope that it this time will include a more authentic interior. If it includes no new minifigs, I for sure won't buy it. If it includes new minifigs, I might buy it (depending on what else it'll include and the quality of its exterior but mainly interior design). @ commanderneyo: Can you please ask Jordan if he is that nice to give us some information (or even better a picture) of the Ewok Attack set and the MF? That would be nice. Thanks. I completely agree with you, StoutFiles! I'd say that every OT fan here does want to get a new, better, bigger, more decent and with more and new minifigs included Cloud City! And TLG knows that. But since there'll be that huge CW set out next year (which I bet will be released in spring (like the AT-OT & Dropship), either we'll get the Cloud City firstly in 2012 or we will at least have to wait til summer. The thing which is for me now clear is that (because of we'll get a second big OT set - the MF - and a huge exclusive System scale CW set) if there's a Cloud City in 2011, it'll be far away from the size of 10188. So I'm very sceptical whether it so really would be getting the set we all wish or only a JFOL oriented small playset which is nearly only a rerelease of the previous Cloud City. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the final picture of the Police Boat, Darth Jar Jar! The exterior of the Police Boat looks amazing. But its interior is a huge let-down (since there is no interior). So I very supposably won't buy this set. NEWS: I found these two new sets we already saw in an earlier list now confirmed: 3648 Police Chase (I think 18-30 Euros) 3661 Bank & Money Transfer (I think 50-60 Euros) Both shall already be released in January! Judging from the prices (the same site gives), the harbor will be about the same size like the previous harbor (from 2007), the fishing boat won't be that huge and the speed boat will only be very little (supposably about the same size or a bit bigger like the prisoner's boat in the new Police Boat). The only set I miss on this list is the by Ferdik mentioned yacht. Possibly this will be the June limited set (like this year's Lego Truck)? ---------- It's great to read that we after more than one decade will finally get a new bank! Since this set won't be that small, there is a big chance that the bank will be decent (I won't expect it to be set on a 32x16 plate - but being as big as the pizzeria in 7641). And an armored car is supposably included in this set, too (since with "mony transfer" surely a vehicle is meant)! Do you think that - if this set (3661) will be about the same size like 7641 (which I suppose it to be) - it'll even include something apart from the bank and an armored car? Maybe a kiosk or snack bar? Police Chase? That sounds interesting. But what could that be? Perhaps a prisoner in a civilian car, a police car and a police motorcycle? I really hope that we'll get some pics of 3661 and 3648 soon! (Since they already shall be released in January, this shouldn't take too long until we'll get some pics.) Klaus-Dieter

Does someone remember when we got the pic for this year's 3222 Helicopter And Limousine set? This would then supposably even be the time this/next year when we'll get a picture of 3661. I'm really excited what 3661 will include apart from the supposable armoured van. Hopefully there even will be a bank included (which I highly doubt) and hopefully the armoured van will look differently in contrast to the police car (and not including blue/red lights and not just be white-blue but only with a "security" sticker on it). What do you think? Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for these pics, prateek! In general I really find that theme ! The only two sets which imo look good (and would - with some changes - got very well with a new Ninja/Samurai (which TLG should have released instead of that stupid theme)) are: Apart from these, the Ninja minifigs look great - esp. the one with the long beart and the tan hat! A re-introduction to the Community,
Klaus-Dieter replied to Brick Miner's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Imo that doesn't lay to far way off, snefroe. Of course TLG mainly valuate Brick Miner's ability to design in general. And he did not only show Western MOCs but even City and Arabia sets in his portfolio. So they of course chose him because he is a good graphic designer in general (it would be unlogical if someone could only design good Western sets but no other sets). Apart from that - even if Western gets a re-introduction (which I really hope) - the Western theme will surely be not a theme which will get sets every year for more decades without any pause. Nevertheless TLG did surely note that Brick Miner's focuse in graphic design was til now mainly Western themed (which can be seen in the portfolio). So one reason why they chose him consequently might really be that there's a new Western theme planned for 2012 or 2013. At least I hope so! Don't you think that your comment is contraproductive and a bit unfriendly towards Brick Miner, snefroe?! Firstly Brick Miner didn't present us any top secret information. Rumors about a new girly (City) theme are around here already since months. And Brick Miner did only report us about his meeting at TLG and not about any decisions which were made there. Secondly if Brick Miner gave us some confirmation or some hints, we should be really glad and do not blaming him for doing that! Thirdly only Brick Miner knows and can decide which he wants, can (dare) and is allowed to tell us or not. He is not a kid to which we have to say what he should or should not do. Klaus-Dieter -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 poll
Klaus-Dieter replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That's a great and very interesting topic, WhiteFang! In this poll it was very easy for me to immediately make my decisions: For me definately the Snowboarder is the best minifig of series 3. Series 2 is imo the best minifigure series until now. And of course I'd like to get more waves of minifigure series! Klaus-Dieter -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for this clear picture of minifgure series 3, grogall! There is not much to say since the prelims weren't changed much to the finals. I really like the printed baseball caps and the snowboard. I really dislike that the Native American Chief gets a Spartan lance . Klaus-Dieter -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for this information, legokuate! Series 4 sounds much more promising than series 3 is! I'm really looking forward to the surfer girl, the garden gnome, the mad professor, the skateboarder and the kimono girl! I think that TLG decided to give us again a skateboarder since the minifigs of series 1 were very limited and very fastly sold out. So many kids (and even adults) which wanted to get more of the skateboarder didn't have the chance (like me, too, and on ebay they sell them completey overpriced). A waveboard would be cool and be some variety in contrast to always only blue skateboard. But it's very unlikely that we'll get one - otherwise the list would have said waveboarder and not skateboarder. How do you think that the skateboarder will look like? Do you think that the mad professor will be more like an Einstein, a fantasy character or a minifig in laboratory outfit? Do you think that the surfer girl will have a bermuda (like the surfer guy - but in a different color) and a bikini? That surely would look ! It's great to see that there will be some more female minifigs and not only men! Nevetheless which I still miss in these minifigure series are some kids! (Come on, TLG, Lego is mainly a kids toy!) I'm really looking forward to see some pics of this series! Since it shall be released already in April, it shouldn't take too long until we'll get some pic(s). Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for these new and clear pics, The Soup Nazi and Darth Jar Jar! The space van looks great! I really like its design. And the launch pad isn't bad, too. The police minifigure collection is ok. But I miss the new police officer in there. The police truck is much too huge and wide and includes to few interior for its overdimensional inside. The police helicopter looks good. It's only a pity that the pick-up is in yellow and has no clack to its cargo bay. The prison transport looks amazing and includes a lot of playbility and nice, usefull and realistic elements. I completely agree with you, LordVuppy! The new police station looks really authentic and much more like a real building which fits very well in every bigger city. Concerning the space van I have to disagree with you, Night City Dream. Which second minifig would fit in this set? Imo a second minifig would be out of place there. But concerning the rest of the City sets I completely agree with you, Night City Dream. It's really a pity that TLG releases a passenger train which includes only two passengers. And in general there are much too few minifigs in teh bigger sets - only the huge exclusive sets get 7 or eight minfigs (which isn't much for the size of these sets). Thank you very much for this information, Mirandir! It shows promise that the new girly minifigs theme will have beautiful houses! Of course I'd prefer houses which aren't in purple or pink. On the other hand it would be great to get another family house - and today all colors are used for houses. The thing which is for me more important than the color is how these houses will look like: If they look very realistic and include a decent interior, then I even can cope with them being in purple or violet. It would be a pity if they push it back to 2012. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for these official pics, The Red Brick! Police Truck It's much too huge (too long as well as too wide in the middle (8 studs)) and there is not enough interior to fill the huge room inside. I surely will not buy this set. Police Minifigure Collection It's a shame that the new police officer is not included in there. For what do we need a dog in there although we'll get the dog's car seperately?! Two criminals are really too much. Instead of one of them TLG should either have included another police officer or a civilian. But all in all it's a nice set: the quad and the AMT look good, the new rucksack and the crowbar do, too. Police Station From which I can say of the exterior it looks much, much better than all the police stations of the last more than ten years! The minifigure included are really ok, the vehicles are great. The interior seems to be decent, too, but as soon as our high-res hero grogall doesn't post a 360 degree view or at least some detailed pics of the interior, you can't be sure. What do you think the yellow things right behind the right rollergate are? The only thing I fear we won't get is an interrogation room. And again a dog?! Instead of it TLG should have better included another police officer, a civilian or something else. All in all it's a great set. It seems as if I'm the only one who doesn't like the new dog. Imo there is not much improvement over it in comparison to the last version. But which disturbs me much more is that it's included in three of the new Police sets. Who needs that many (police) dogs?! One it the Police Dog's Car would have been absolutely enough. Btw: From which I know, the currently available Police Helicopter will still be sold next year, too. And so the helipad on top of the new police station is thought for that heli. Klaus-Dieter

It's possible, Oky Wan Kenobi. But since the windmill very supposably will be an AFOL oriented set (like MVV), the wings will for sure made be out of long thin bricks and cloth. And the wings surely will be even longer than the ones to which you refered to in the LDD screenshot. But it's good that you posted that new "wing piece" together with some of the new bricks in LDD 4. If you put the majority of them together, you can very clearly create a dragon with them. So maybe we'll see a dragon for the dragon knights in 2011 (which would imo be not absurd since they designed small dragons for this year's wave, too). Klaus-Dieter

Pics of the summer sets have to my knowledge never appeared before Christmas - so we still have to wait minimum two months. I personally can't imagine that there won't be some new non-exclusive sets in 2011. When you look at that list mentioned, you can see that it isn't complete: the advent calendars are missing, a possible PotC wave is missing, a very supposably second wave of Pharaoh's Quest is missing and the rumored girls' theme is missing, too. Even if we won't get some forestmen, I bet that we'll see at least three new non-exclusive Kingdoms sets in summer 2011. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this great review, TheBrickster! I own this set and I must say that I really, really like this set! Definately outstanding  since it includes everything a medium sized Indian set should include: -some Indians -their homestead (in this set the tipi) -a horse -a stake -a nice landscape -much and different weaponry -a fireplace -a secret (in this set the hidden snake) -some water If only TLG brought back the Western and Indian theme with new (not re-released) sets! Klaus-Dieter

That's an absolutely amazing MOC, LuxorV! I really it! It looks (apart from some minor things like the bucklers) absolutely realistic! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter

Another CW/PT set for the first half of 2011! Hopefully there'll be released at least minimum one exclusive OT set in the first half of 2011 (which is very unsupposably since the big exclusive sets (apart from the AT-OT and Dropship) were always firstly released in late summer) - otherwise I'll get really ! Not all Lego SW customers are OT fans and OT set buyers, but it's even not the case that all Lego SW customers are CW/PT fans and CW/PT set buyers! Klaus-Dieter

I thought about which might be included in the summer sets. Here are my thoughts: Port: -green cargo ship with to open bridge and engine room (like in the previous cargo harbor set of 2007) -truck with two small containers -container crane (like in the previous cargo harbor set of 2007) -pier -captain, truck driver, cargo crane driver, harbor worker Marina: -small motorboat, bigger motorboat, surfboard with sail -small (16/12/10x6) cafe (supposably regrettably only one floor big) -pier with two small extra piers -two male minifigs, two female minifigs, waiter Fishing Boat: -fishing boat with moveable fishing net -two fishers Truck With Motorboat: -6 wide truck in the size of the 3366 Space Port Truck -trailer -motorboat -male minifigure This is only what I think (my wishes would partly be different). What do you think? Can you imagine that the Marina will include a small sailing-boat and/or a water-plane with propeller on its front? If there is a shop included in the marina (which I highly doubt) and not a cafe, what do you think will be sold there? Thank you very much for these links to those pics, Brickviller! The small, red cabriolet looks lovely and the police motorbike looks great, too! Although the exterior of the Police Truck looks great, there are two aspects which disturb me immensly: 1. The interior isn't that good. I mean: The interior details are great, but the interior is much too empty (there are 6x5 studs empty left and right to the conrol table)! 2. Without any need, the middle part of the trailer will be 8 studs wide! Thank you very much for this information, freeedrik! To me it sounds very strange and not comprehensible that TLG would let out Germany - the country next to the US where the most Lego is sold - out for this new girls' theme. Since we'll get a marina next summer, I doubt that this new girls' theme will be Paradisa-like. I'd more go for a world of fairies (and all that stuff that belongs to it) or at least fairy stories - let's say: in principle the same like Belville was, but now with System scaled minifigs. Although that was highly likely, it's great to hear that the Winter theme will get a new house in 2011, too! I'd go either for a winter candy shop or (even more supposably) for a winter family house. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
-
I totally agree with you, MCNwakeboard! Surely it'll be in the MVV style. And supposably it'll be about the same size like MVV - but a bit smaller since 1. I bet that it'll be the early spring Exclusive (like Emerald Night and Space Shuttle Adventure) around/after Easter and so will supposably be 90 Euros and 2. I bet that there'll be (although it'll be mainly addressed to AFOLS) a PF motor with battery box included which increases the price for the set. Klaus-Dieter
-
Cwetqo posted this rumor in the general 2011 themes and sets topic (General news and discussion) about one month ago. I can't imagine a SW advent calendar. But about the most of the other upcomming themes and sets he was right, too. So ... Interesting news - thank you very much, freeedrik! Did he even mention which kind of house will be added to the winter toy shop line? Klaus-Dieter
-
Since the person who showed the picture and give some additional information wrote that three sets arrived at his home which are part of the summer wave and are no OT sets, it's extremely likely that the two sets on his table are of the summer wave and are no OT sets, too. The contour of the big ship imo clearly shows that it's the Republic Fregate. And the brown thing on the left very supposably is either the Genosian BP or the Genosian Fighter. As for the Jawas, Luke, Owen etc.: the minifigs on the table are much too blurry to be aible to be identified (apart from Yoda, R2-D2 and that Clone). So these minifigs could be nearly every character. And - like already mentioned - I find it extremely unlikely that we'll get a Sandcrawler with Owen's farm (in 2011). Although I really would like it since I missed the Sandcrawler and since we haven't been getting Lar's home til now (although it's such an important location)! Klaus-Dieter
-
After Ferdik's description of the ship in the new Port being smaller than its previous version and from that he didn't mention any additional building and ship included in this set, I bet that the new Port will more look like a re-design of this set: I must say that 2011 surely will be getting an amazing year for Lego City! The new police hq looks much better than all the police hqs since the late ninetees, the Space sets are cool and the armoured van and the new nautical sets sounds very promising - I'm esp. looking forward to the marina. The only thing I wonder about is that there doesn't seem to be any small (10 Euros or less) set in the summer wave (which was normally - apart from the Trains waves - the case): -Port - depending on its size and its contents 70-100 Euros -Marina - depending on its size and its contents 40-60 Euros -Fishing Boat - depending on its size and its contents 20-40 Euros -Truck With Motor Boat - depending on its size and its contents 20-30 Euros A civilian car (4 wide but not that small than the Small Car) with roof, with car doors and in a in reality commonly mainly used color (black, blue or grey) would be great and even really needed! But although we're demanding that a car for years now, TLG doesn't want to ahear us. I totally agree with you, Zzz! Hopefully TLG gives the armoured van a color scheme different to the police cars. And hopefully they will not include blue lights. A to the police officers different security officer torso is imo a must, too. What do you think will the set with the armoured van (which I bet will be 30 Euros like 3222, too) include apart from the armoured van itself, a prisoner and a security officer? Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for this link to that conversation over at fbtb, commanderneyo! But I do. No, there surely will be neither an UCS Lobot nor an UCS Cloud City Car since both play only a subordinate role in episode six. And an UCS Cloud City surely won't happen? How should it be designed that it stands feast with its thinnest part downstairs and its biggest part upstairs? - You'd need a frame to hold it and then it would surely not look good. And who would buy it? - Surely only a minority. If there'll be anything which has to do with Cloud City in 2011, it for sure will be a huge Cloud City playset similar to the 10188 Death Star. I'm very sceptical about that, Brickdoctor. Since the new carbonite mold, the new Boba minifigure and the new Han minifigure were released this year, it's very likely that TLG will release a set with them included already next year and won't wait minimum until 2012. And two (huge) OT exclusives in one and the same year are imo absolutely excluded. Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for clarifying this, commanderneyo, lightningtiger and Mr Man! So there will only be one OT set - the Endor BP - which will be sold in regular toy shops. Then let's really hope that we will actually get an exclusive Cloud City set and that this will include lots of (new) minifigures, a decent interior, many rooms, being nearly as big as the 10188 Death Star and including a System scale Cloud Car. If not (meaning if it'll be very similar in size, interior design and minifigure count like the older version), 2011 would absolutely not "rock my life" but be the most disappointed year for only-OT-set-buyers like me. Klaus-Dieter
-
I completely agree with you, metalandi! Since these were surely prelim pics and since I bet that this set won't be released before end of April, the animals in this pic were surely prelim, too. And since there haven't been System scaled sheep before, the set designers firstly used the already existing pig mold and painted it. Albino pigs wouldn't be that nice to have, would it?! I hope that they'll include a small carriage, a stables, a horse, four sheep, a dog, the miller, his wife, their son and daughter, a farmhand and a soldier. And of course a decent interior to the building(s) is necessary, too, but in this point I'm since MVV very positive. Klaus-Dieter
