  1. That's a bit off-topic, but I didn't know where to ask this question: Over at spieletest.at I read that the collectable minifigures should be sold for 2,50 Euros (instead of 2 Euros). But in my customer's catalogue I see series 4 for 2 Euros - and I bought minifigures of series 3 for 2 Euros, too. So will series 5 be the first series that will be sold for 2,50 Euros per minifig? Does someone know something more about that? It would be really bad if they rised the price. The accessory of many minifigs was reduced anway (i. g. there are much more minifigs in series 5 which include only one additional part then in series 1). And 2 Euros is imo really expensive enough. Klaus-Dieter
  2. I'm a bit sceptical about that, Sandy. A rooster always has long feathers at his back. Plus are the feathers of a rooster not always colorful? Klaus-Dieter
  3. Thank you very much for these pics, Navy Trooper Fenson! Luke's new hair looks good - but I personally wouldn't have needed it. It would have been much better to invest the money in a new OT character and included it in the MF. The two new Ewoks look amazing! Thank you very much for this information, Navy Trooper Fenson! I really hope that these won't be all minifigs included in the advent calendar - otherwise it would be a huge disappointment for OT fans. Is the Rebel Pilot you mentioned from the PT (Naboo style) or from the OT (Yavin, Hoth or Home One style)? Klaus-Dieter
  4. Thank you very much for the new pics and the video! Now I'm really sure that I want that set! I really hope that TLG will offer 10219 as a kit with power functions motor, RC receiver, rechargeable battery box and recharger like brickshop.nl does. Klaus-Dieter
  5. Thank you very much for these pics, Lego-Freak! The king's carriage: That oversized "hammer" comming down the tree and that the carriage is open in its back are weird. Otherwise a great set packed full with action. The dragon prison: I don't care much about the gate (which is much too small that the knight with his horse can pass it). And that "attack wagon" is really weird. Plus the architecture of the prison looks really strange. But the new printed dark-green horse cover and the big dragon buttler look stunning! The blacksmith's shop: The architecture and the new torso look great. But the new weapons (I count three: battle axe, new swort and mace, am I right?) are simply amazing! Definately a must-have for every real Castle fan - and a great parts pack for different and new weaponry! The medieval farm: Which is really a shame is that it seems as if it only includes a stable without any place for the farmer and his family to live (e. g. chimney, some seats, a table). Weird is that the rooster is brick-built whereas the chicken are molded. Apart from that it's a brilliant set. The mill looks excellent. And the many new torsos and animals are simply amazing! Like the blacksmith's shop, this is really a must-have set for every real Castle fan - esp. because of the many civilian elements! Klaus-Dieter
  6. Thank you all very much for these pics and the video! Imo series 5 doesn't look as good as series 4 - nevertheless the majority of the minifigs included are awesome! I really don't need a dwarf and a Sherlock Holmes. The female dancer looks nice - but too similar to the singer from series 2. And for what do we need another cassette recorder?! Although I really like the new cap with a different printing: Do we really need a lumberjack?! It's great that we get a male snowboarder! But imo his face looks a bit strange. Let's hope that the final version will include a printing on the beanie (like the skateboarder from series 4 has). The British Guard, eskimo, mobster, godzilla, judge (for me it's a judge since in Germany we haven't got these strange uniforms for students), cave woman, clown, zoo worker and boxer look great. From which I can say til now, for me Cleopatra and the gladiator are simply the best minifigures of this series - they look completely amazing! Klaus-Dieter
  7. These are all excellent ideas and wishes! I was always saying it - now this topic shows that a school won't be that unpopular than some people suggested. So let's hope that TLG reads this list (as well as the topic "Ideas for new City sets") and is going to release all these amazing sets in the next years! I completely agree with you, mahon881! Klaus-Dieter
  8. Here are two more: Sheik male white-black checked "kerchief" friendly with beard white jacket, white pants eagle with outspread wings Veterinarian female brown Princess Leia's hair friendly white shirt, green pants stethoscope, cony Klaus-Dieter
  9. It's absolutely likely that TLG will release it in March/April (like they did with the Emerald Night) - otherwise they wouldn't have (had) this picture on their server. Now the only thing which is missing in this set is Maersk Container Truck (which can fit two containers and which comes with two containers and a driver). Let's hope that we'll get one next year! Plus - with last year's cargo train and the many trucks and now this set - in 2012 it's really time that we'll get a re-designed Cargo Center! Klaus-Dieter
  10. Thanks for sharing, I Scream Clone! This diorama looks completely amazing! :oh: I really it! Esp. all those details in the landscape, in the architecture of the buildings but even in the interior of the saloon are brilliant! Let's hope that the Western theme will come back soon! Klaus-Dieter
  11. I completely agree with you, AhabDarab! These bisons look ! I really hope that if TLG brings back the Western theme, bisons or buffalo will be included since they're such an important and concise part of the Wild West. The Western MOCs which appear from time to time here on EB, our discussion about WW sets and MOCs, the general like of kids to play Indians, sheriffs and cowboys, our many ideas for new Western sets, our report and petition (which was even sent to TLG), agreements of ambassadors of other forums and finally the people's choice for a huge Western diorama in a Lego exhibition in Australia really shows that people are (still) interested in Lego Western. And I even really hope that TLG draws a conclusion out of this. That they engaged BrickMiner might be a hint for us getting some new WW sets in the next year(s). But of course that doesn't say anything since they do not need one graphic designer for only one theme which then even would only be there for one til three years. Next year it'll be 15 years ago that the last WW set was released. So that would be the perfect timing for starting a new Western theme. In the first wave/year mainly cowboy oriented sets should be released (since I bet that kids are the most interested in these), in the second wave/year soldiers and in the third wave/year Indians. I luckily own all the Western sets from the ninetees. But there's still that much missing - mainly a saloon, a stage coach with post office, a Wild West farm and a Western train with train station. So let's hope! Klaus-Dieter
  12. When I saw that there's no single Farm set on the list for the regular City sets for 2011, I a long time was sure that Farm is now dead. But having had several looks at the new Harbor set and the Medieval Village Raid (Kingdoms), I came to following conclusion: Imo it's very likely that we'll get some farm sets in 2012 - or at least one.Reason: I don't remember TLG has somewhen produced molds for an animal which then was only used in one set. Exceptions are the licensed themes (e. g. the ostrich in a PoP set, the Wampa in a SW set etc.). But apart from licensed themes, animals appeared always minimum in two sets. E. g. the cow appeared in the Farm set and in the Medieval Market Village (even if in different color - but the same mold) or the pig appeared in the Piglets Enclosure With Tractor set, in the Farm Impulse, in last year's Kingdoms Advent Calendar and now even in the Medieval Village Raid. The new chicken mold in the Medieval Village Raid appears in the Blacksmith Attack, too. This means that we have no guarantee that it will appear in any other future set, too. But the new goat mold appears only in the Mdeival Village Raid. So it's very likely that there'll be another set in the future in which goats will appear. To summarize: I bet - and really hope - that in 2012 we'll see two new Farm sets: one set in a size similar to the Piglets Enclosure With Tractor which will include a grazing land with goats and two farmhands (and supposably even a new agricultural vehicle or at least a new tractor) and one small set or Impulse set with two or three chickens, a small cage and a farmhand. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  13. I completely agree with you, StoutFiles! Either the Echo Base or another - until now unknown - exclusive OT set. I'm still thinkung and hoping that there'll be at least one OT set released before June (and this one would have to be an Exclusive since we've seen pics of all the other SW sets for the first half of this year). To another possible OT set: I in the meantime distanced myself from the guess that we'll get a CC this year. It would - if done in the same size like the System scale DS - be too expensive since we already will get already three other OT sets. Jabba's Palace is too popular to release it as an Exclusive. And the Yavin Base seems to be unlikely sine the regular X-Wing is still available. So what about a Mos Eisley Cantina? It doesn't offer that many action elements - so it would be a perfect Exclusive because mainly AFOLs and perhaps some TFOLs (but only very little JFOLs) would buy it. To the advent calendar: Like already mentioned, I bet that we'll get at least one new minifigure for the CW/PT and one new for the OT - otherwise I bet that the advent calendar wouldn't sell well (since the most people will buy them because of the minifigs and not because of additionial stuff or mini sets). Since it's very unlikely that we'll get an Ewok Town and since next year's possible Endor BPs won't include Endor Luke (and I even hope that since a main character is imo out of place in a BP), I could well imagine that the advent calendar (or the DK book) will include an Endor (cmouflage) Luke with green lightsaber. What do you think? I really hope that we'll get good pics from the toy fairs (Nuremberg and NY). Klaus-Dieter
  14. Thank you very much for this information! So we can be very sure that it'll be sold on a regular basis. Firstly I wasn't that impressed by this train, but the more I look at the picture of it, the more I begin to like it - esp. the yard tractor . Yes, the one container could be a refridgerator container. I firstly didn't notice that there are two different kinds of containers in this set because I thought that it's because of bad illumination. Since we now know that it won't include all that PF stuff, I'd go for the same price like EN (90 Euros) or maximum 100 Euros (since it even includes the yard tractor). More would be usury (think about that last year's Passenger Train with all PF stuff included and a small platform was 110 Euros here in Germany). Klaus-Dieter
  15. Like it was already mentioned, I, too would like to see TLG releasing "counterparts" to the already existing minifigures. Of course for those which only collect the minifigures this isn't necessary. But for those which want to include the minifigs in their layouts/dioramas (like I do), there are minifigs which really need a "counterpart" - otherwise they are nearly senseless (e. g. the musketeer without someone he can fight against). So I'd like to get: -boxer in blue or white (as addition to the boxer in series 5) -karate guy with brown belt (as addition to the karate guy in series 2) -skater girl (as addition to the skater guys in series 2 and 4) -new sumoringer (as addition to the sumoringer in series 3) -snowboard guy (as addition to the snowboard chic in series 3) -new soccer player (as addition to the soccer player in series 4) -gladiator with trident and net (as addition to the gladiator in series 5) -male ice-skater (as addition to the female ice-skater in series 4) -ice-hockey player in red or orange (as addition to the ice-hockey player in series 4) -surgeon (as addition to the nurse in series 1) etc. Klaus-Dieter
  16. Shall this be an information or only a guess, grogall? Anyway: If released not only on a limited basis, I bet that it'll be released in March, too, - like the Emerald Night was. I remember that already some time back someone told us that the modular building this year will firstly come out in June or later (like the Fire Brigade did in 2009). Maybe that's the case because I could well imagine that TLG will release an exclusive OT in spring - and so they need a bit more time between all these big Exclusives. Klaus-Dieter
  17. Please don't understand this as a personal attack, BasOne, but I really wouldn't like TLG to release characters of a computer game or movie. So we'd go in the direction of licensed minifigs - and that's everything other than I want. Here are some more wishes: Archaeologist male white hat surprised white shirt, white pants small brush, skull, bone Wild West Miner male black hat perspiring tan shirt, brown pants pick-axe, oil lamp Woman In Brown Bear Suit female brown bear "hat" perspiring brown shirt with printing, brown pants piece of meat Punchinello male green long hat laughing brown cotton jacket printing, blue pants wooden swatter (to beat up the crocodile from series 5) Model female long blond hair (like the coastguard woman from series 2) friendly silvern shirt with pink jacket, pink pants silvern handbag Klaus-Dieter
  18. When you compare 10219 to 10194 you see that 10219 can't be much more than 10194. Maybe it'll be 100 Euros instead of 90 Euros, but more can't be if it doesn't include PF motor with battery box and rails. That to say: Even if it's without doubts a great set, imo more than 100 Euros wouldn't be worth for it. Klaus-Dieter
  19. That or - if released earlier - an exclusive Star Wars set. Klaus-Dieter
  20. Thank you very much for the (links to the) pics, kevin 1990, JCC1004 and SilentMode! From which I can say til now (seeing this pic), series 5 looks amazing, too! I could live without the dwarf. And Sherlock Holmes as well as the boxer are imo not that exciting, too. But the cavewoman (or Amazon?), the clown and the English soldier are really nice. The clown gives us even the opportunity to get some kids' pants in green. Plus the cookie is a nice addition to the Winter Bakery. The man in the crocodile suit, the Arabian woman and the gladiator are simply stunning! Let's hope that series 5 will even include a surgeon, a male snowboarder, a kid, a woman with a baby and a cameraman - that would be brilliant! I'm really looking forward to the toy fairs when we supposably and hopefully will get some pics of all minifigs of series 5. Klaus-Dieter
  21. Thank you very much for this information and the picture, paul_delahaye! This set looks really good! Although I must admit that I'd have prefered a decent train station over a new train. I don't know whether I'll buy it if it is avaible since City has for me priority in comparison to Trains (and money is of course limited). But since it would surely fit very well with last year's Cargo Train, let's see. On the one hand I could well imagine this set to be a to customers and employees of Maersk limited set (like e. g. the Vestas Wind Power Plant was). Reason: TLG would otherwise very supposably have to pay licenses. Plus of course two Maersk sets in one year sound a bit unbelievable. On the other hand TLG supposably has a/the license anyway (since they sell again the Maersk Container Ship). Plus that there's already one Maersk set out this year, does not necessarily mean that there couldn't be another Maersk set. Besides, 10155 is no new set - so you can't count it as a new set. If it's available for the general public, I bet that there won't be any PF stuff included and that it'll be 90 Euros/Dollars (like the Emerald Night). If this is the case, I hope that there'll be enough place inside the engine to fit all the PF stuff without having to take out some of the interior. And I really hope that this time TLG thought about a decent "dashboard" for the train conductor. So let's see. Klaus-Dieter
  22. This is really sad news! I regrettably didn't know Zorro much since I only very seldom visit classic-pirates.com. Nevertheless he wrote some nice comments to some of my MOCs and layouts in the past. So this news is really sad. Klaus-Dieter
  23. Oh, sorry lightningtiger! I must have overread this. Yes, in 2012 I, too could well imagine TLG releasing a post office. Perhaps in combination with another small shop (e. g. ice cream parlor or snackbar) similar to 7641. (I don't care which CC styled sets they release since I'm not interested in them.) Apart from that I'm really, really hoping that next year TLG will offer us a huge exclusive City set (like 10184) which could e. g. include a hotel, a Lego Store and a cafe (or even a post office). Town Plan was already released in 2008 and is no longer available. So in the beginning of 2012 it'll be 4 years ago that 10184 was released - imo really time that we'll then get a set in size and quality similar to Town Plan! Btw: Didn't rumors about the 8403 Family House last year already appear before the NY Toy Fair?! If yes, we should know about the (smaller) exclusive summer 2011 City set soon, don't you think? Klaus-Dieter
  24. You're welcome, fredolego! So the post office was only a guess of you and no confirmation of your toy seller - that's really a pity. Well, since the post office was only a guess and no real information - I highly doubt that we'll get a post office this year, lightningtiger. Like already mentioned some time ago, a supermarket seems to me the most supposably to be released this year (I don't know why, but I've got some feeling that it'll be) since it could well be a stand-alone set. But a post office has imo to be included in a bigger set - at least with one more building (like 7641). And don't forget the rumor about a ferry (if not 10155 was meant with this). So these both would make the two til now unknown City sets for this summer (like 8403 and 8404 last year). And consequently these would be the last City sets for this year (apart from a new Winter set). Klaus-Dieter
  25. Well, I completely agree with you that there are signs for that a CC will come out soon. And it's one of the big sets we're looking forward to for years now. But: 1. We already thought that there'll be a new CC last year - and then there wasn't one released. So this could be the same case this year. 2. If done decently, it would be in a price range about the System scale DS - so around 400 Euros. But counting all OT sets this year together, this turns already out into 25-30 (EA) + 150 (MF) + 100-150 (HEB) = 275-330 Euros/Dollars. Since TLG wants (to offer the opportunity that) all OT fans (can afford to) buy all OT sets in one year, I highly doubt that there'll be another OT set that will be more expensive than 260 Euros/Dollars. Consequently a new CC would this year be in the price range around 250 Euros. 3. In 2013, there's the anniversary for RotJ. So in 2013 a new Jabba's Palace, a Tusken Raider set with Bantha and an Ewok Village as a "middle-huge" Exclusive (150-260 Euros) are imo very likely (perhaps even a new Sail Barge). In 2012, it's very supposable that we'll get two Endor BPs. But what should be released in this year as Exclusive?! Imo a new CC in the size of the System scale DS would there be a great opportunity to connect the years 2011 and 2013. But of course I even might be wrong. The only thing I do know is that I really do not want again a that small, undecent and with that small number of (new) minifigures included new Cloud City like the previous version. Klaus-Dieter
