  1. Thank you very much for this information and the pics, grogall! The idea of a winter village market is great. But I regrettably have to say that the outcome is really disappointing! Pro: - nine minifigures - very detailed carousel Con: - overprized for what you get (first time that a Winter set is that - til now all sets had a good price ratio performance) - lolly with printing on only one side - no building included - much too small and too open stands - nearly no accessory and nearly no interior inside the stands - no stand selling hot drinks (only the cups at the sausage stand which is weird - esp. since there is even no cock or something similar inside the sausage stand) - the stand where you can buck of tins does imo not fit in a Xmas market but more in a folk festival scene To me it seens as if for the designer the carousel was the most important part of the set and she did invest the main work in this carousel. No doubt that the carousel turned out great. But as a high price for this the stands - which are imo the most important part of the set (since it shall be an Xmas market) - were designed only along the way and very spartan. That's really a pity! If there'll be more Winter sets in the coming years, I hope that - every set will include a decent building and - that there'll be a Xmas market stand in many sets so that you can add them to 10235 in order to create a decent Xmas market. 2. Here's a new idea in which I think mainly teens, when released in the City theme, (or girls, if released in the Friends theme) would be interested: Lake With Water Ski Lift a small lake (or a suggestion of it) with some barriers for stunts in it (like a kicker), a small terrace with a kiosk and a water ski lift with cash point, small shop and PF-driven lift accessory: three pairs of water skis, three wakeboards, tumblers, cups, food, two caps, two extra helmets, dog minifigures: female kiosk owner, male viewer, shop owner, female water skier, male wakeboarder Imo this would link perfectly a possible sports subtheme with a hobby / vacation / forest subtheme. It would contain action and lots of playability as well as a nice setting in a lovely atmosphere. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  3. Thank you very much for the information and pics! The Ewok Village looks amazing! :oh: The only three things which disturb me are: - that the trap hasn't a cable wind, but only a cable - that there is no dipper in the kitchen and only very limited food in the room upstairs - that there are railings around the tree huts but no track for minifigs to go around them Otherwise it's perfect! I'm really looking forward to the Ewok Village and the Sail Barge. With the Ewok Village this year, I hope that we'll get a decent System scale Imperial Shuttle with gangway an a new black-suited imperial officer. Klaus-Dieter
  4. Here another wish (if already posted, ignore it): Wakeboarder white helmet lucky face (possibly shouting) white neoprene jacket with small red life vest blue neoprene pants yellow wakeboard with colorful signs / pattern on its top Klaus-Dieter
  5. Thank you very much for this further information, grogall! 90 Euros seems quite ok. So the set will be bigger than the toy shop, bakery and post office, but smaller than last year's cottage. I doubt whether a house will be included in this set, too, since the set name doesn't indicate this. But that of course depends on how many market stalls there'll be included, how big and detailed they are and which other accessory there'll be included. But I personally rather think that there'll be none included (or if any, than only a very small one - but of which building much smaller than all previous Winter buildings could you think of?). And I'm not sure whether there'll be a Christmas tree in this set. On the one hand we already got one in the toy shop and the most Winter set buyers supposably collect all Winter sets anyway. On the other hand the toy shop was released four years back, a Christmas tree is a very important part of a Christmas market and maybe TLG wants even to offer customers, who didn't have the chance to buy the toy shop, to get a Christmas tree. What do you think? Interesting. There the opinions theme to diverge. For me the Winter set is the only set which I constantly plan to buy every year since I want a whole winter village. So I'm even up to pay even more for theses sets. A winter ski lift and a new winter train would be amazing - but these would for sure be more than 100 Euros. Klaus-Dieter
  6. Thank you very much for this hint, Legoman123! I did conclude from only what I had seen on the pics from the NY Toy Fair and didn't know about the Brick Show video. So I have to correct myself: The new Jabba's Sail Barge is really amazing! :oh: The exterior design as well as the interior are great and the new minifigs are stunning! The price is ok. As for the Ewok Village: Since it'll be an Exclusive, there hasn't to be as much action stuff included like in regular sets since the target audience is there TFOLs and AFOLs and not JFOLs. Nevertheless - when you look at past System scale Exclusives - there will be some action elements included. So the celebration scene is imo exluded. I more think that the set is placed in the phase between when Han and Luke get caught by the Ewoks and the scene where Luke leaves to go to the Imperials. Klaus-Dieter
  7. Thank you very much for the information, the links and the pictures! The new torsos and the horse rugs are great! Apart from that the sets are imo low quality and completely <insert that tiresome argument> with a focus nearly only on action - a mixture between Knights Kingdoms, FA Castle and Kingdoms which regrettably turned into nothing good. I was that much hoping that TLG will build on the awesome Kingdoms theme from 2010/2011 and give us a decent castle for the dragon knights, a wall with a siege tower (which is since long overdue and which I don't understand why TLG hasn't already released in the past years) and some other, smaller sets. Klaus-Dieter
  8. Thank you very much for the information, the links and the pictures! Since this theme does - apart from the train and the stagecoach which I don't like, too - not offer anything new in comparison to the Western theme from 1996/1997 and is even a licensed theme (unfitting fleesh colors and more expensive), I'm not interested in any of these sets and will pass them. Let's hope that TLG will release some own Western sets in some years and not only some based on a (bad) license! Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thank you very much for the information, the links and the pictures! I've got mixed feelings about Jabba's Sail Barge. From the outside Jabba's Sail Barge does look great and the new minifigs are awesome! But the interior of the barge is really more than disappointing since there is - apart from the organ and the carpet for Jabba and the canon - none. I would have prefered to pay ten or twenty Euros more, but then get at least some interior like in the older version of it. Plus the size is - compared to the latest version of the Desert Skiff - possible really too little. An Ewok Village would be great! And if it was about 250 Euros, it would even be descent. So I could well imagine that it'll inclued: -AT-ST -Ewok's trap -speeder bike -C-3PO -Ewok Village Leia (long hair) -Han with camounflaged outfit -Luke with camounflaged outfit -Ewok chief -one Ewok -another Ewok -Scout Trooper -AT-ST Driver -Stormtrooper -three huge, brick-built trees with some "tree houses" and plank bridges between, some catapults and traps What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  10. Thank you all very much for the information, the links and the pictures! School  Although I would have prefered a City school instead of a Friends school, I'm really happy that we finally get a school! I do really like the interior of the school. The only two things I have to criticize are that both classrooms feature room for only two pupils - that' really bad - and that we get no regular classroom (the one is an art room and the other one is a room for science. Otherwise it's a great set. The basketball basket seems a bit oversized, but is nevertheless a nice addition for the school yard. Dolphin Cruiser  The yacht does look amazing! The interior is deisnged very well. Only the windows between the bathroom and the living room disturbs. (Do they want to watch people sitting on the toilet instead of watching TV?!) Bakery  This is a stunning set! The displays with the big cakes look amazing and the interior seems to be great, too! It's a pity that there isn't a second floor with a small office, a bedroom or a living room. Klaus-Dieter
  11. Thank you very much for this information, GRogall! Since the beginning of the Winter theme I was always missing bigger Christmas stalls which are really an important and well-known part of a Winter diorama. So a Christmas market set is really welcome! I completely agree with youm sgeureka! That's exactly how I think the set will look like. The only thing I wonder about is whether there will be a building included. For sure there won't be a big building, but perhaps a small one. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you all very much for the information, the links and the pictures! The majority of the summer sets does really look very well! City Starter Set The fire engine looks ok - although I fear that there won't be much accessory be included for the fireman although the engine is that big and features that much space. The ambulance looks bad. Although it's a big vehicle, there are no car doors and there is only space for the stretcher but none for a seat for a paramedic to sit inside and take care about the injured boy. To the injured boy: The new stickers for the skateboard are great, but it's weird that we get a boy who wears a winter suit with gloves. Only the police motorcycle is ok. All in all an imo bad set which I nevertheless will have to buy since I want at least one bigger fire engine which isn't a "ladder's car". Coast Guard Ship From the outside the ship does really look amazing, the green boat, too, and the small lighthouse is a perfect addition! But when you look closer you can see that there's no room downstairs. So where should the crew take care about the injured? Plus I miss a dinghy to rescue (What shall that strange robot be and which function does it have?). And the helicopter looks weird and is besides completely useless. Advent Calender Not that interested in this one since it includes to many repeats from calendars some years ago. Some more cargo and CG stuff would habe been nice. Apart from that it's good to see that TLG concentrated a bit more on civilian life and not only fire and police and other completely weird things (like catapults) like in the last two advent calendars which were a shame. Other Coast Guard sets These sets looks imo great. I especially like the helicopter. Cargo Heliplane This ist amazing! The only thing which disturbs me is that there are no wheels below the thing which holds the trunks (that way they could be transported by the small quad). Other Cargo sets Imo great. The only thing I don't like is that we get no sinlge new torso for the airport workers. Octan Grand Prix Truck and Monster Truck Transporter Both great sets. The only thing which disturbs me is that the monster truck transporter doesn't habe signal lights on its top although it's that long and even eight studs wide. City Square  In contrast to the majority of you I must honestly admit that I'm glad that the on the layout in Copenhagen seen gas station isn't included in this set. I own the gas station from the brilliant Town Plan set (year 2008) and one gast station is for my city enough. This is an absolutely amazing set! Although I would have prefered a hamburger stall, a snack bar or an ice cream parlor over another pizzeria, this one is really different to the one included in City Corner (year 2009) (in City Corner itwas a regular restaurant, in City Square it's more some sort of fastfood restaurant). And I even like that TLG used lime green which is a newer and fresh color than only always red, white and yellow for buildings. The only thing I don't like is the useless, completely oversized crane. The statue looks great, as does the small street sweeper. It's great that we're getting another bus! The bike shop is excellent! I do really like that TLG desgined it two floors big, with a lot of glas, as a corner house and in a new and fresh and different architectual design! I hope that TLG will go on with sets like this one as Exclusives in the following year! Klaus-Dieter
  13. Hello everybody! Since we now know all of this year's Friends sets, I thought that it would be interesting that we write down what we think which Friends sets we await in the next years. I could well imagine TLG is going to release: - supermarket (16x24 or 16x32) - grocery (16x16 or 16x24) - flower shop (16x16 or 16x24) - jewelry (16x16) - ice cream parlor (16x16 or 16x24) - urban hotel or hotel at the beach (8x32 or 16x32) - mall (8x32 or 16x32) - doctor's office (16x16) And which are your ideas? Klaus-Dieter
  14. Thank you all very much for this news! Since I don't own the old Sail Barge, I highly welcome a new Jabba's Sail Barge - esp. since it seems to come with even one or two more really new minfigures. Since I own - apart from the ugly Hoth Base from 2011 and the older AT-ATs - every Hoth set, I'm glad to get some more and really detailed trenches for a Battle of Hoth diorama. The only thing I'm waiting for years concerning Hoth is a decent Hoth Base which is closed on three sides and includes some seperated rooms with detailes interior. I completely agree with you, calisupra2nr! I'm waiting for a Cloud City in 10188 style and size and a decent Mos Eisley Cantina since years! Klaus-Dieter
  15. Thank you very much for this information, whung! These three sets do sound very promising! I hope that the school will have a decent size - let's say at least two rooms. A soccer place or something like this would be really cool, too. I wonder whether the Dolphin Cruiser will be only some sort of private yacht or a real pleasure cruiser. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  16. Thank you all very much for the news and pics! 60009 Helicopter Rescue Imo a great set. I esp. like that the small house includes roller gates and (even it's only little) an interior. The only two three things I don't like are that the garage has no side wall on its left side, that the pick-up includes no boot lid and that the helicopter has only that a small interior. About the summer sets list: 60012 Coast Guard 4X4 dive boat Shall this be a 4x4 car with a trailer with a small boat? If so, I have no use for this one since I already own the last one from the previous CG theme from 2008. 60014 Coast Guard patrol Possibly a big patrol boat, don't you think? If so, I hope it's part inside the ship mold will be closed and have windows and not only holes. But I don't know if I need a CG boat. I'm surprised that we don't get a CG HQ. 60019 stunt plane Perhaps a 10 Euros set with a stunt plane in size similar to the last water plane. That might be a nice little set! 60020 jackscrew cargo plane If it wasn't too huge and if it included a lot of cargo stuff, this could be a nice set! 60021 cargo terminal I really, really hope that this will be a re-design of the amazing 6391 Cargo Center (http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6391-1?showpic=10460). Of course these days TLG regrettably won't design that huge buildings. But my wish would be a big depot, a small office, a truck and a forktlift (and no plane included). 60023 Lego City Starterset The set name does let completely open what it includes. It could be only a selection of four minifigures, some street signs, some accessory and perhaps a bicycle. It could be one building and these minifigs. Or it could even be somethings similar to the amazing 7641 City Corner. If it was the last version, this would be brilliant! 60025 Grand Prix truck + 60027 Monstertruck transporter No interest in these sets. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  17. Thank you very much for this informtation! In contrast to the majority here I really would welcome even some generic civilians in the CMF series. City does offer us an only very limited number of different civilian torsos. So some more variety would be great. Plus the caps used for the CMF look far better than the regular ones - with their more realisitic and detailed design and the printing on it. Well, I've thought that, too. Besides I could well imagine - since series 9 will be silver and series 10 will be gold - that TLG will stop the CMF line after series 10. That would really be a shame. But I fear that this could be real. Klaus-Dieter
  18. Thank you very much for the pictures! The A-Wing and the Rancor Pit look amazing! The only thing I don't like is that Han Solo has his regular (new, but nevertheless already known) torso and not a camounflaged torso. I'm excited when the list for the summer sets will appear. Klaus-Dieter
  19. Thank you very much for this information! I don't know what the movie is about (but I have seen the trailer) - nevertheless I could imagine the sets to look like following: 79106 Cavalry Builder Set a horse and a soldier with weaponry 79107 Comanche Camp a tipi, a fireplace, perhaps a small waterfall, a horse and three Comanches 79108 Stagecoach Escape stagecoach, two horses, coachman, passenger, two robbers and some suitcases 79109 Colby City Showdown one til two houses (hopefully not only fronts and not only one floor big), a horse, two bad and two good guys 79110 Silver Mine Shootout a silver mine looking similar to the classic "Robber's Hideout" set from 1996, a horse, two good and two bad guys 79111 Constitution Train Chase train consisting of steam engine and hopefully two passenger waggons, train driver, two passengers and two robbers What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  20. Thank you very much for this information and these pics, Rick, and for the link to the video, grogall! I have to admit that I have prefered a City Exclusive (something like a new Town Plan) or at least a big and decent train station (which is since decades overdue) over a new train. Nevertheless this train does look absolutely amazing! Con: -no engine at the back -only four passengers Pro: -no tracks included (since you don't need tons of curved tracks) -PF functions can (supposably) be easily added -amazing exterior design -finally a decent on-board restaurant -awesome interior I can't await to get this brilliant set! Klaus-Dieter
  21. On the one hand I could imagine that the 14th set is the Horizon Express. It's not declarated as a City (but Creator) set, nevertheless it's located in the City / Trains theme. On the other hand I would welcome it if we got a 14th real City set. But I must admit that I have no doubt what it could include. The most supposably it would be a hard to find Police or Fire set. Thank you very much for this information, The Fetzer, and for confirming it, Cwetqo! Firstly I thought that three themes in summer isn't possible, too. But who says that these will be three complete themes, each with minimum four sets?! Coastguard could be a theme like the January Police theme: only three sets - CG ship (big set), CG helicopter (smaller set) and small watchtower (little set). Construction could be a stand-alone set (like this year's helicopter rescue base): part of a building, tower crane and an excavator. And Cargo could be that heliplane, a cargo center (that would be amazing!!!), a truck and a small car. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  22. I completely understand you. And I must say that I wish that we get more civilian City stuff, too, than only action. But the museum set is really worth getting. Even if there will be nearly no interior and the inside be very small anyway, the heli being too small, the bandits looking stereotypical and the bandit's car having no car doors, the exterior of the museum and the police unit van and the new police officer torso are really stunning - believe it! Sorry, I can't find any picture. No, there is no SWAT included. Klaus-Dieter
  23. I didn't see one police officer with black torso. If I remember right, the new bulletproof vest torso is only worn by the three police officers in the museum set. The police pilot has this year's police pilot torso. And all other police officers have the blue shirts with blue cravat. Nearly all fireman seem to have the same torso which has been used in the fire themes in the last years, too - black suit with light stripes. If I remember correctly, it's the generic firefighter torso, but he wears not a firefighter's helmet but a white motorcycle helmet. Btw: I forgot to mention that in the fire station there is of course even a pilot with this year's fire plane pilot's torso. And on the right side of the museum there is some sort of ivy on which the bandits supposably can get up to the roof windows. Plus the bandits have a black rope (the one seen in the big police helicopter set last year). Klaus-Dieter
  24. Thank you for the pics concerning the movie! Two things: 1. Looking at these pictures, I fear the worst concerning my wish for a decent and realistic Western theme. I'll wait and see. But in principle it's for me already dead now since this has nothing to do with the Wild West but only with fantasy. 2. I really, really hope that the CUSOO project will nevertheless be released - it would be a shame if TLG didn't! Klaus-Dieter
  25. Now to the 2013 fire sets: Big Fire Station This set includes a fire station with two tall garages on the left side (a mini heliport is on them, but it does only fit the small helicopter included, regrettably not the one from the seperate set) and a main building on the right side. The main building has three floors and consists mainly of windows. But since these are the 4x1x6 windows, this doesn't look as bad as the ones in the previous fire station. First floor has entrance with commando center (desk with computer and city map I remember), second floor is a bit empty - it includes only tools - and in the third floor there is a really cool looking kitchenette with cooker with pan and a table with (supposably) two chairs. The only thing which disturbs is that there is a small "elevator" outside at the building (like in the fire station from 2005 (?)). Vehilces are a "ladder truck", a small helicopter with water cannon (in the size of the 90s Lego City helis) and a small car (very similar to the one in the last fire station), the "ladder car" has - if I remember correctly - car doors, the other for sure regrettably not. Minifigs are two firemen, fire captain, female fireman and a dog ("new" mold) in white with black circles. Apart from the strange elevator, the nearly empty second floor, the imo much too small heli and the missing car doors in the small fire truck, this set does really look amazing! Burning Hut This set includes a burning hut without interior (one floor big, door in the middle, left and right a window with a lath in front of it, black burning roof, street lantern), a "ladder truck" with car doors and two or three firemen. The idea of a burning house is imo ingenious. But the outcome is more than disappointing. This set would have had that many potential: minimum two floors big building with interior, burning roof, window beneath is opened and a woman is crying for help, firemen get ready their rescue net. Fire Helicopter This set includes a fire helicopter. I appreciate that its size is about the one in the Heli and Limousine set from 2010. But it is red and has the real heli window piece (even used in this year's big forest police heli). It is open and there's a winch in front of the open part in the middle. As addition there's an adumbration of a fuel pumping station - a white tank and a column with a fire burning on its top. Minifigures are a pilot and a fireman. Imo this is a small but really nice set. The helicopter looks great and the addition is very minimalistic, but looks good nevertheless. Fire Boat This set includes a flat medium sized fire boat with water canon in front (its size is suppoably as big as the big racing boat last year) and a blue racing boat (using the blue boat piece in the marina set) of which the motor is burning. Minifigs are two firemen and two racing people with the new life jacket. This is nothing special, but makes nevertheless a good set. "Ladder Truck" The set name says it. Minifigs are two firemen. Since we already get two "ladder trucks" in the other sets, I really ask me for which reason we need a third one. Nevertheless I must admit that this "ladder truck" is the best looking of all three - similar to the one in the last fire station, but bigger and nicer. Imo a great set since there are even roller gates with a box with accessory. Fire Captain's Car This set includes the fire captain's car, a mini tree (only a brwon 1x1 column with a bush piece on top), a cat, the fire chief, a woman (blue torso from this year's camper) and a fish. Nothing special. Fire Motorcycle This set includes a red fire motorcycle, a green brick-built burning dustbin and a fireman. I have been waiting for a fire motorcycle since years and have to say that with the additional dustbin that makes a small awesome set! There are two new torsos: The fire captain in the fire station has a white shirt with cravat (btw: he wears a golden helmet) and there is a new torso for some firemen (the majority have the old regular (non-forest) firefighter torso) which looks like if they were an orange warning vest. All in all I have to say that this new Fire theme is really cool since there are even things the firefighters have to douse or rescue! The only big thing which disturbs me is that we get three "ladder trucks" (which is completely overdone), but no single equipment car! Plus it would be nice to see even a car accident where firemen help with hydraulic cutter - or a fire crane with a tree which has to be removed from the street. I hope that all this information was helpful! Have a nice time and let's hope that prelim pics and official pics will arrive soon nevertheless! Btw: In the American S@H catalogue there seems to be written down that you can win 14 new 2013 Lego City sets when you are the winner of a contest. So this means that we'll get 14 City sets in 1h. But the sets which I saw in the retailer's catalogue were only 13. This means that there's going to be one exclusive City set in the first half of 2013. Does someone have any info about this set or can think of what it might be? Any guesses? Klaus-Dieter
