Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for the info! Having seen the photos plus taking into consideration that last year's train station included a very small cafe, I highly doubt that this year's WV set will be a restaurant. A fire station is imo much more likely - the kitchen with the red telephone (there's definately a sticker missing!!!) might be the firefighter's recreation room. But I really do not like the fact that the complete set will firstly be revealed on the 7th - that's supposably only one week before VIP access to the set and the latest reveal of a WV set ever! -
Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
Btw: Instagram lists three more Sky Police Sets: 60206 Sky Police Jet Patrol - $ 9,99 60207 Sky Police Drone Chase - $ 29,99 60208 Sky Police Parachute Arrest - $ 39,99 So there's only missing 60205 (I suppose a very small set for 5 Euros - like always). ___________________________________________________________________________________ Thank you all very much for the info so far! Sky Police does sound very, very special. I was hoping for water police theme - we haven't been getting one since the early ninetees. Or at least some police special forces - like the ones from 2013 - but this time with some sort of police tank and a jewelery break-in. Whether the Sky Police theme will be interesting for me or not, can only be said after having seen pics or at least after having gotten detailed info on the sets. I really like the idea of a Burger Bar Fire Rescue - I only hope that the burger bar will be a decent sized building with a nice interior! Garbage Truck, Diving Yacht and (Forest) Harvester Transport sound very promising, too. Let's hope that we'll get the set names of the remaining Great Vehicles soon. -
Ah, thank you very much for clarifying, @Mr Hobbles! So PF 2 has three pros in contrast to PF 1: - 10 (instead of 8) channels - no direct eye contact needed for sending out signals - less space for the PF stuff (because of the missing ultrared sensor) in trains needed
-
Thank you all very much for the info! To be able to print a minifigure with your own design is a great idea! Since I live far, far away from the next Lego Store, I really do hope that S@H will offer this servie soon, too.
-
Having read different articles and posts and having watched several videos: Am I correct that with the new PF stuff, you can only drive two trains with one remote control (one per A- and one per B-channel) at the same time? And per two trains more, you need one more remote control?

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

No, please no re-releases or redesigns! Btw: I could well imagine that the new big bear wool beanie (in blue-white and in red-tan) from the Arctic theme will appear in the WV set, too. And yes - some info on this set is since long overdue (we even don't know the set name / kind of building yet). -
Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
Fire and special Police theme will be for sure. Which concerns Space and Underwater Research I hope that TLG won't bring them back already next year. Farm, Harbor, TV / Studios, ... are much more overdue. -
You're right, @Aanchir, since it's already some years ago that the last exclusive Castle set launched, I didn't remember this. But nevertheless I hope that there'll be a huge exclusive Castle set - even if not in the first year of a new Castle line.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Klaus-Dieter replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Maybe the CC looks similar to its first version, but only bigger - meaning minimum two floors big and representing much more the shape of CC: one side with the exterior with two landing platforms (one for Slave I and one for a possible Cloud Car) and the other side with the interior (entrance floor, carbon freezing chamber, waiting room, dining room, prison, torture chamber, duelling room and the "bridge" where Luke falls down). What do you think? -
In my list I forgot that it seems plausible that we'll get an exclusive train set (instead of a harbor, farm or station). Because all two previous train subthemes had an exclusive City train set the year after: 2010: passenger train + cargo train, 2011: red freight train, 2014: high speed train + cargo train, 2015: heavy-haul train, 2018: passenger train + cargo train, 2019: ??? Some months ago there was that competition on Ideas and then some voting, too, for a small GWP set for 2019 which is Space theme related. So there was speculation about Space (not as a City subtheme!) returning in 2019. Independent from that, a Space theme as a subtheme of City might well be coming in 2019. If TLG decided to release their research themes in a four years circle - but because of the already so often posted reasons imo that would be quite bad!

@Digger of Bricks and @BrickJagger: Some months ago there was that competition on Ideas and then some voting, too, for a small GWP set for 2019 which is Space theme related. So there was speculation about Space (not as a City subtheme!) returning in 2019. But you're right. I did some searching and well, yes, it doesn't have to say that if Space was returning in 2019 there wouldn't be no chance for a new Castle theme the same year. Nevertheless I'd be curious about whether we'd see a big Castle Exclusive if Castle returned (independent from when).
-
Yes, I could well see it. I mean: Last year TLG released three completely new animal molds (tiger etc., lobster, new spider) and this year, too (mammoth, sabel tooth tiger, new rat). So I bet that there'll be three new animals in 2019, too.
-
Rumors said there's a new Space theme in 2019. So I fear that we've to wait for a new Castle theme til 2020.

Wild West - Trains, Town, Military and mini-figures

The coaches and carts you built look really excellent, Murdoch17! The most I like the "Anton's Brit Shop" coach.- 109 replies

Apart from the Surfer Van (which is with its eight studs to bright in scale for a City layout) and the Tree House (which looks to Creator-ish in order to place it in City), I absolutely agree with you, sebitsena! The Pirates Rollercoaster (apart from the missing chain and "motor" to get the cars upstairs) and the Mobile Stunt Show match perfectly with the Fairground theme. And the Yacht fits exactly in the City theme - as well as the Candy Shop (apart from it being only one floor big with a balcony on top). So I hope that 2019 will go on with this trend - then I hope to see again more buildings!
-
I built up the Captial as well as the Hospital in the last weeks - both are really stunning sets! So I really hope that 2019 will see more civilian sets - and esp. buildings - in the same size of these! Plus I even really like it how TLG links the subthemes of CIty (injured miner in the hospital, money transfer van in this year's Police subtheme as extension to last year's bank, ...).

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Klaus-Dieter replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all very much for the news! It's funny: One day I thought about which OT vehicles we haven't seen as a decent set yet and the Imperial Landing Craft came to my mind. I thought that it would go perfectly with all the Tatooine sets of this year and the ones from the past years. But I was sure that it wouldn't be released any time soon and for sure not this year. The next day I went here and voila - there's the new Imperial Landing Craft. Apart from the joyless minifigure selection (We really don't need hundreds of Kenobis and R2-D2s!) and the poor interior, the Imperial Landing Craft looks great! The Hoth Medical Chamber is a great and decent addition to Assault on Hoth with all needed minifigures. And which concerns Cloud City: The CC Pilot as well as the new Ugunauth look good. But "only" 350 Euros for the set although it shall include Slave 1?! Counting the vehicle being about 100 Euros, then the loctation wouldn't be much bigger than Assault on Hoth! -
Realistically the themes list for 2019 imo will be: - regular fire theme: fire station, fire ship, fire helicopter, ladder truck, fire truck, fire quad and fire starter set - specialized police theme: either water police or special police forces (I can not think of any other subtheme which hasn't been done in the last years) - Great Vehicles: 6-8 different sized sets / vehicles - space theme - deep sea exploration theme - one big set: harbor or farm - people pack: either fun at the station or at the harbor or in the inner city (I can't imagine any other) - exclusive set: train station Nevertheless I hope that there will not be any space as well as deap sea exploration sets: Firstly we got them already four years ago. And secondly there are so many other sets and whole themes needed which haven't been done for many more years or even not at all.

Thank you very much for the pics of the Capital, dimaks13! I completely agree with all you said, BrickyBoy! The museum is a great idea. And when the caveman is placed inside, it for sure looks more appealing. Nevertheless it's too small and an entrance is missing. Apart from the blue (imo too wide) car, I do really like all the vehicles - esp. the city tour bus and the ice cream car. Since we got a halfpipe in the Creator winter wave, imo this one is wasting money and bricks. Nevertheless it does look nice. The snackbar is fine. Apart from the holes on the sides, the hotel is a real beauity. All in all a great set! I would have prefered a new exclusive Town Plan in order to get bigger (16x32) buildings and instead of a hotel and / or a museum I would have liked to get a huge department store. But for now I'm happy with this set, too. I think it's possible it's a cancelled set? Themes do occasionally skip set numbers, I assume it because of the reason I mentioned above that this happens. On the one hand it might well be that 60199 and 60203 were cancelled (since 60187 and 60189 don't appear anywhere, too). On the other hand, firstly this would be the first time in Lego's Trains theme history of the last years that TLG released a new Trains subtheme without any train station. Plus some time ago we got the info (I think it was @Sir von Lego) that there'll be a caveman and an orca in this year's (exclusive) Arctic sets. Now we see that the caveman appears in the Capital. So wouldn't it be likely that the orca appeared in another, not still known (Arctic) Exclusive? So then only the other set number in the row (60199 or 60203) would be missing and could likely be a station.

Thank you very much for the info, @Paperballpark! It's great to hear that CC is finally getting a set in a decent size and hopefully even with enough rooms inside and a decent interior! That there'll be a Slave 1 included (which seems after the description to be not a micro build, but although only a smaller, nevertheless a System scale version), is a good idea. But if there was a Twin Pod Cloud Car included, (too,) this would even be bettter. -
Thank you very much for the press release, Ecclesiastes! Positive: Nice set with nice functions. The sugar candy stand and the juice stand look brilliant. Negative: Having Lego employees working for the rollercoaster is really unfitting. We get no new torso for the minifigs. Plus I miss decoration and lights (like there were in contrast at the ferris wheel). The storage room for this set is massive - and it doesn't seem as if you could divide it into bigger parts. Plus 330 Euros is absolutely too much money for what you get - a bad price ratio performance. If I buy this set at all, than only when getting double VIP points! But imo the 3 in 1 Pirates Rollercoaster looks much more interesting and is besides even much cheaper!
-
Next year (2019) is the 20th anniversary of Lego SW. So I think we should see some great and classic sets then. I bet that which concerns the OT, there for sure will be minimum one set of every episode - supposably from the locations of Tatooine, Hoth and Endor. As someone who buys (if at all) only System scale OT sets, I'm really hoping for the following five sets: Tantive IV Rebel Blockade Runner (with decent and detailed interior!) Lukes's Home or Obi Wan's Home TIE Bomber AT-ST TIE Interceptor

Thank you all very much for the info! So that we've got final and even very detailed pictures of the Outdoor Adventures as well as of the Hospital, here's my detailed comment: Outdoor Adventures: negative: - no new smartphone prints (the designs and colors are already years old and need a refreshment in new and much more common colors (like black and white)) - no climber's accessory (apart from the helmet) - baby's clothing is again only in one color without any pattern - use of the extremely old and unfitting backpack and that even in brown - baby's face has the same expression as the one before positive: + eight new torsos of which the absolute majority can be used for regular City (meaning inside the city), too + some new face prints + a cool new female hair piece + eagle looks amazing + tent is highly welcome + guidepost is a perfect addition + fried egg as a nice new accessory + baby "holder" is great + really like the new downhill bicycle + much more attractive minifigure selection and accessory than in last year's Fun at the Beach Hospital: negative: - ambulance has no place inside for a paramedic to examine the injured, which is really a big fault and in principle the only real thing disturbing me in this set - no patient's room(s) - small reception is missing (the chair and the computer belong to the emergency ward) - small heli as well as little helipad are needless (parts should better go to a bigger ambulance for more interior) positive: + use of the small heli as some sort of organ transport (?) + very good looking exterior design of the small heli as well as of the ambulance + great and very fitting modern architecture of the building in white-red with a lot of glass + modular system (much better for storaging the set!) + excellent and very detailed interior + a lot of accessory + baby and buggy included + examination room and operating room + first really decent (System scale) hospital in the whole history of Lego So all in all these are both two absolutely amazing sets which I'll buy for sure!

Thank you very much for the news! Outdoor Adventures included eagle, minimum seven new torsos and minimum three new faces. The tent looks brilliant as do the baby carrier and the new female hair piece. It's only a pity that we're not getting a new smartphone print (the ones seen are already years old) and that the old backpack (even in brown!) is used instead of the great, new backpack (like seen in TLNM CMS). But overall a great minifigures pack!
