Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Brickset added a lot of new and new colored / new printed elements for 2019 to their data base. And there's a new, cool element - 6258842 Flat Tile 1X1, Round, No. 112 - which looks like a round gingerbread: I bet that we'll see it in this year's WV set! Like I already mentioned, I hope for a town hall, too, together with a candy shop in one huge set. Which concers a stable with animals, I really don't see that - and if you meant the navity scene, then you maybe know that this is highly unlikely because of TLG's policy of bringing no religious elements in their sets. -
Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
You might be right. But firstly in the past there have been two models of very familiar vehicles (e. g. police ATVs or fire ATVs when there was one in the regular subtheme and one seperately sold as a polybag). And secondly I simply can't imagine thatTLG doesn't include a popcorn cart or at least a popcorn machine in the people pack since you automatically think about popcorn when fairground comes to your mind. A pretzel cart sounds indeed like a great idea - I hope that there'll be for new torsos and new pants Bavarian styles (Oktoberfest) (one male and one female) anyway! And let's hope that the new medium long pants (from the HP CMF) make it into that people pack, too! -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Thanks for the info, @Roebuck! The only question now is: What will the set include? Since it's the tenth birthday of the Winter Village theme, I could well imagine - and do really hope so, too - that this set will be bigger than all WV sets so far (like it was the case with the CC sets). A town place with candy shop and town hall would be the perfect set to celebrate. What do you think? -

Thanks for the link to the instructions, @BigRedGoat! The popcorn cart looks nice, but definately misses some sort of manual for operating it. But since I bet that the Fairground People Pack will include a popcorn cart or at least a popcorn machine anyway, there's not reason to buy this polybag for a huge price. -
No, the Fairground set has either to be 10266 or 10268; I personally guess it's 10266. Brickset namely lists following Creator Expert sets for 2019: 10264 Corner Garage - already released 10265 Car not listed 10266 - imo supposably the Fairground set (since last year it was released after the D2C car set, too) 10267 {Winter Village Set} not listed 10268 - What could that be? 10269 {Vehicle D2C Set} - Could this be a re-release either of the Emerald Night or of the Imperial Flagship? (Imperial Flagship was in the survey on Brickset the set which is the most prefered one to be re-released.)

These are really amazing creations, @Brick Rides UK! I especially like Super Bowl, Infinity and the Starflyer - I hope that TLG will bring all of them on the shelves! And which I like is that you did not only create excellent rides, but even thought about a lot of lights and partly even a background - something TLG really missed in the rollercoaster set.

LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Klaus-Dieter replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I hope that the rumored Tantive IV RBR will be System scale - very similar to its former version 10198, but with much more and even much better designed interior and more minifigs. Btw: Shall the System scale Slave I be an OT version? -
Thank you very much for the list, @Soupperson1! I completely agree with you, Rambo260! For sure TLG will bring all regular sold 2019 sets to the toy fairs this year. The only question is whether they will let the visitors take pics of them or not.

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
Could it be that the second summer City subtheme is Fairground? On the one hand the existance of a people pack of this theme doesn't mean anything. Plus there's already a Creator Expert theme about fair. On the other hand I don't know whether a fairground people pack would be bought by many JFOLS - whose majority for sure doesn't own any Creator Expert sets and for whom in a people pack included only very small stands and no fairground rides (remember that the people packs are "only" fourty Euros) would be boring. Plus a Fairground subtheme inside City would imo not compete against the Creator Expert subtheme: Whether the Creator Expert theme offers only huge (and expensive) fairground rides with only minimalistic side structures, a City subtheme could offer decent sized stands (such as the Pizza Van) and smaller (and less expensive) fairground rides - in principle it would be the perfect addition. What do you think? Which concerns a new animal mould: I could well imagine that TLG takes the white pigeon (new mould this year) from the Disney theme and prints it for the people pack in grey. The usual place leaked a picture of a popcorn cart which shall be a polybag for this year. (But from only this one picture I can't decide whether I like it or not.) So maybe there won't be a popcorn cart included in the people pack. But I agree with the other contents you mentioned. -

One thing came to my mind: We have to consider that the list contains minimum one Juniors set in the Space subtheme and one or two in the rest of the list (possibly the fire truck and the garage). So the list of "real" City sets would get a bit smaller. It's a shame that TLG decided to give the City themed Juniors sets set numbers in the row of the regular City sets - so we don't know whether a City set will be a Junior one or not til we get pics. Ah, thanks. I overlooked that. -

Thank you very much for the list, @Falconfan1414! Since again there doesn't seem to be a space station, I'm - apart from perhaps the Satellite Mission - not interested in the Space subtheme. The Truck Of The Fire Brigade's Boss could be a nice addition to all the Fire sets. It's great that there'll be some civilian sets in summer! The Fairground Minifig Pack sounds promising and will for sure be a great addition to the Creator Fairground series. Another shop / building is always welcome and so even the Donuts Store. Since it's called an opening, I hope that there'll be a TV broadcast van included. The Central Garage will for sure be good, too. The only question is: Will Central Garage be a car repair shop or a parking deck? I wouldn't give up my hopes already now. We talked about that a whole Farm subtheme is supposably unlikely, but a big farm set on its own not. And firstly set number 60238 is still missing. And secondly I can't imagine this list being the complete one since in the past years there always have been two subthemes plus some extra sets in summer. SInce the Space subthemes will be very huge, I bet for a small subtheme with 4-5 sets in summer. I asked that myself, too. But only pics or at least a detailed description of the sets will let us know. Since Lego won its action against the Asian clone brands, let's hope that TLG will at the Nuremberg Toy Fair (January, 30th til February, 3rd) not be that restrective like they were this year and that the first pics will show up at that time. -
The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I dislike the D2C set, but I even dislike all that apocalypse stuff. The only sets which appeal to me are the astronauts sets (which is even sold for a decent prize) and maybe the house of Emmet (but with 60 Euros it is much too expensive - 30-40 Euros would be the correct price - so and because I don't want that Sci-Fi stuff included, it's very unlikely that I'll buy it). But which I'm now excited about ist the CMF series. Shouldn't we see pics of it soon since it'll be availabe in Jan./Feb.? -
Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
Could it be that the 2019 people pack will be Fun At The Fair? Reason: There is an ad on the hoarding in 60216 Downtown Fire Brigade. It says "Fair" and shows a boy and a girl - both with cotton candy. In the past years, all ads on busses etc. (not for company names) did have something real in the same or another City set (e.g. pizzeria, bike shop, museum, beach party, hotel). For those who may say: "What shall a Fair people pack when there's no Fair subtheme in the City theme?!" let me give following counter argument: In 2017, 60153 Fun At The Beach people pack was released. There was an ad in 60154 Bus Station saying "Beach Party". Still 60153 was the only set that was located at the beach - not only in 2017, but even the year before and after. Plus in 60215 Fire Station there's a 1x1x1 brick with a sticker or printing red-white lined and saying "pop" (for popcorn). What do you think? -
Thank you very much for the info and the pics, @Robert8! These sets look fantastic! I esp. like the dining scene. But it's really a shame that these sets are going to be available only in Asia since I fear that I won't have the money to only buy one of them at the second market!

Thank you very much for the news! Well, that's the worst Creator (winter) wave since years - no single building! I would have bought the houseboat - but the way it turned out, I clearly have to say no. The boat is too small. Plus minimum one stud place between the cabin and the outer wall on the left as well as on the right side would be neccessary in order to create the allusion that you can walk on the houseboat from the front part to the middle and to the back. Now I really hope that TLG surprises me in summer with some great buildings in the style of the ones from 2014 til first half of 2018!

Thank you very much for the great review, makoy! This is a very lovely minifigure. It's only a shame that it isn't sold via TRU here in Germany (which was originally stated on other fan sites). So I had to buy it totally overpriced via Ebay and therefore only one - originally I wanted to have minimum two (one sealed and minimum one minifigure as a friend for the CMF penguin suit boy for my Winter Village).

This is not only an amazing building with a great interior, but you even wrote a nice, amusing, partly sadly realistic story behind it, @koalayummies!
-
That's an amazing MOC, @mouseketeer! I really like how you built the chalet as well as the ski lift as well as the hot drinks stand! For sure your MOC would go perfectly with the Winter Village sets. If TLG released your MOC as a set, I immediately would buy it! Btw: Have you already thought about posting it on Lego Ideas?

Thank you very much for the pics! For me, this wave is much less interesting than former (winter) waves have been: The Cupcake Café looks horrible and the interior of the Forest House is unfinished. The only set I'm interested in is the Art Studio. I highly welcome it that it's only eight studs deep but therefore has two floors. Plus with the ancient architectual exterior design and the great interior details it's simply brilliant and will fit perfectly next to City and Creator buildings!

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
Again thank you very much for the pics and posted reviews! And now here's my final judgement over the City winter wave (I don't comment on the City 4+ sets since these are Juniors sets and no City ones): Sky Police: Without any exception the sets of the Sky Police theme are horrible - what has Sci-Fi to do in the City theme?! Plus the base looks more like a Juniors building than like a City one. Why can't TLG simply give us a Police subtheme that really exists and hasn't been done before (winter police) or at least not for a longer time (special forces, water / harbor police)?! For sure there's no single set I'll buy. Fire: The footbridge in the Fire Boat set is done nicely, but for my taste the boat is too small. Although I won't buy the Fire Plane set, I have to admit that it's done pretty well and very similar to the 2012 version (because of that I won't buy it since I alreay own this older version), but with a lovely small fire car and some nice side structures. The burger bar looks very realistic and the brick built sign is great. I really like it that we get for variety a small Fire Station which has a perfect sized fire SUV in it plus a nice fire drone - both completely new vehicles what I appreciate. That the Fire In Town set includes a construction site with a damaged old style building, a small tower crane and some other construction site parts, is very welcome and makes much more sense. I could have lived without that immensly huge fire truck in this set and even more without the small heli, but that we get a fire robot is again something completey new and appreciated. Only two small critics: The water canon mechanism may be nice for kids' playability, but for the aesthetic it's a killer. And I'm really disappointed about there being no burger mould(s). Great Vehicles: The Kajak Car has a nice front - but the missing car doors and (even more) the missing boot lid makes the car looking unfinished and unattractive. Although I agree with those of you who prefer 4 studs wide cars (and 6 studs wide trucks), the police car is imo not bad. The Desert Ralley Car looks nice. I've been waiting for a small Front Loader for decades - and the outcome is imo great. The Diving Yacht does not only include a very well designed yacht with a nice interior, but even a small underwater scenery - perfect. Although some sort of small quarter pipe built out of snow would have been nice to be included in this set, I really like the Snow Groomer I've been waiting for years, too. The new torso for the female Free Skier looks very well designed, too. But the top of this Great Vehicles set is simply the Harvester Transport. The transport truck as well as the corn harvester itself are simply stunning! On a site note: Let's hope that there'll be a huge Farm set in summer (like the hospital in last summer) in order to give the harvester a home! Ah yes, that seems logical, scottwb2010! Having had a look at the pics at S@H, it really can be that at least the motorcycles, the heli and the plane are numbered, too. -

I'll comment on the final sets (pictures) later, but already noticed something strange: The numbers on top of the fire engines say 1 for the one in the fire station, 4 for the one in the burger bar set and 7 for the one in the downtown fire brigade. So 2, 3, 5 and 6 are missing. Even if the fire engine in the fire fighting plane set got a number on top, that would mean that there are still three another fire engines planned for release in 2019. What are your thoughts? -
LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Klaus-Dieter replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all very much for the info! Target group 4+ sets for movies that are for ages 12+ - what's that?! TLG is really becoming license crazy. It's a pity that there aren't already some pics of the April sets since the regular Slave I is the only til now known SW set for the winter wave I might be interested in. PS: I agree with you that the new Stormtrooper helmet looks horrible! Details are always welcome and too less details make things looking boring and unauthentic. But too much details don't look good either. -
Thank you all very much for the info! Some of you know that in principle I'm absolutely no Ninjago fan. But the Monastery of Spinjitzu looks really amazing and will be a perfect addition to the Temple of Airjitzu, the blacksmith shop and the Temple of Resecuration!

Klaus-Dieter replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you all very much for the info! I really like the Front Loader, the Diving Yacht, the Pisten Bully, the new Fire Plane set and - apart from the massive water cannon - the Burger Bar set. The Corn Harvester Transport and the Firefighters In City are two completely amazing sets and must-haves! I personally don't care about the light & sound function - for an AFOL it doesn't make much sense but does only raise the price. But apart from the flagship set, the Sky Police theme is really wasting capacity! It has absolutely nothing to do with for what City stands for - namely representing our world today. In contrast the new Sky Police theme is a crossover between a SciFi theme and a Superheros theme. And that although there would have been so many great ideas for a (different) new Police subtheme: There hasn't been any Winter Police yet, we haven't had a Harbor / Water Police since more than two decades and the last Special Forces were released back in 2013. So why releasing a completely unrealistic theme?! Bad job, TLG! I agree with you that they rule out Airport, Divers and Farm as whole themes. But remember this year (2018) when there was the rescue copter in the Great Vehicles theme in winter and then the hospital was released in summer? So it could be the same with the harvester: There could be a big farm set including farm buildings, tractor and trailer and some other agricultural vehicle(s) in summer - at least I really hope so. Plus I completely agree that there should be a harbor theme - the last one was released back in 2011! Nope, there are supposably three minifigs: truck driver (man with brown jacket), harvester driver (sitting inside the harvester behind the window) and scarecrow (which is in the prelim picture brick built, but we know that the final version is the farmer's outfit with scarecrow face). -
Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
Doesn't it look like if the left part of 60216 is a construction site with a small crane building up a door and a small wall, but the building on the right side is an already complete building (with possible interior)? After a bit searching I found the post (over in the 2018 topic) about the water function: So it seems that the huge thing on top of the fire car and on the ladder of the "ladder truck" is a water pump. It even explains that both trucks are that massive. And the blue lights on top of both fire trucks are massive - these could be the new sound (and light?) function.
