  1. The STAP and the Speeder Bike in the AT-TE set look very nice, too! (Is the Speeder Bike a prophecy for next year possibly upcomming Endor sets?! :-) :-D ) Still have some questions. Does anybody can answer them, please?: Are these guns the ARC Trooper and Commander Cody wear (nearly) the same guns the Imperial Navy Troopers wear? What are these grey pieces on the left and the right side the ARC Trooper and Commander Cody wear? Something off topic but I don't know where to ask otherwise: Does anyone know when these CW movies are shown on the German public TV (don't know the real name - means not pay TV)?
  2. Thank you very much for that pic, simonwillems! It actually shows some very interesting details: Am I wrong or is it right that if you look through the windows of the bridge in the ship it seems as if there is a back wall in it? I hope that TLG won't change this enjoyable fact and will do a back wall in the room downstairs, too! ;-) But what should these two windows downstairs on the side of the ship be which are totally away from the wall?! :-/
  3. Thank you very much for the pics, Clonecommando007! These sets really look amazing! 8-
  4. That'll be a great idea for the "normal" SW sets! I hope TLG will release something like that - with Palpatine with this light blue flashes in his hands (like I saw on a pic on 1000steine.de), Luke, Darth Vader and two Imperial Royal Guards. That would be amazing! 8-
  5. It's very nice to see that TLG included a so lovely interior in this set - I especially like the big brown granfather clock! But nevertheless I surely won't buy this set because my opinion is that it doesn't go with the other "normal" City sets and - the main reason - because I haven't got enough money. I already bought the most brilliant Lego set ever - 10188 Town Plan - and I'm looking forward to buy the post plane, the post van, the cargo truck with forklift and some of these excellent CG sets - and that'll be it for this year. Nevertheless I'm hoping that - I already mentioned - TLG will release some sets similar to this one in "normal" City style and price! :-/
  6. Here I'm again after a long time. And here are two ltille new ideas for two little new WW Impulse sets: Indian Impulse Set including a canoe, a bow, a quiver, an axe, a lance and a buckler minifig: Indian Soldier Impulse Set including a cannon, three cannonballs, two revolvers, a rifle, a binocular and a saber minifig: soldier What do you think? Any new ideas or comments? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By the way: Brick Miner, isn't it time to show us one of your WW MOCs in the next days? *sweet* - I know I can't await it :-D I'm already very anxious about what you'll present us this time!
  7. I like the idea of a post office, AgentRick57! I mean: Since TLG releases the post plane and the post van this year, a post office would be consequent and even absolutely necessary! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Public Works Department and the Run Down Buildings are two great ideas, ricecracker! I'd like very much to see something like http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6383-1?showpic=2447! That would be *sweet* ! And a warehouse with a with delivery center at the side/back would be absolutely amazing *wub* ! I mean: It's time that TLG gives us City fans a food shop, a supermarket or - at the best - a little warehouse! If you decide to build one of these two ideas - do you then show us pics after having finished the sets?
  8. But let's now end the disputation about whether fantasy and not. It brings us away from the topic - and by the way: Lego does what it wants in any event. Speculating again about which sets there might be in 2009 I came to following result: I don't think that there will be a completely new "Castle" subtheme in 2009 - I firstly think that TLG will develop the dwarves' and orcs' line with some new sets. Sets which might be possible but I would surely not like and buy: -trolls' castle which is attacked by the king's soldiers (it's time that ill gets a big castle - and since the skelettons already have the skeletton tower it's the trolls' turn) -king's big catapult -more attack cars ... -big troll Impulse set Sets which might be possible and which I'd like to buy: -civilian Impulse set *wub* (already mentioned above) -dwarf Impulse set :-) (please read http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...1entry253021) -dwarves' hut *wub* (please read http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...1entry253021) -king's archer :-) (with bow and quiver) Impulse set Of course these are only speculations and they even might be totally wrong - but what do you think?
  9. I've three new ideas: Civilian Impulse Set a pitchfork, a scythe, a back-basket and a barrel and/or abasket filled with vegetables minifig: civilian with two different multifunctions: -there is a bonnet (for female civilians) and a hood (for female and male civilians) -the minifig's head has two faces (like the princess' head in the Skeletton Tower set) : The front shows a female face and the back a male face That would give you the possibility to create male and female Medieval civilians with the same Impulse set! Of course this set might be because of these extras be a bit more expensice than the "normal" Impulse sets but I think it would be a very senible and nice thing. Since there are these dwarves in the new "Castle" theme, what about?: Dwarves' Hut the dwarves' hut - where they live when not working in the mine - consists of a little prison for the caught little orc and a nice hut that looks similar to Harry Potter Hagrid's Hut http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?S=4707-1 or http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?S=4754-1 but smaller ; it is hinged and includes a chimney with cooking site and a table with two benchs including a big tree (like in the new Indiana Jones sets),a draw well, a little pot, a big pot, a pan, a treasure box with gold pieces and jewels, two keys, a brush, two swords, two bucklers, a bow, a quiver, a shovel and a pickaxe minifigs: little orc, dwarf with golden helmet, dwarf with silvern helmet and dwarf with brown helmet Dwarf Impulse set including a little rock piece, a pickaxe, two golden crystals, one silvern crystal, a sword and a buckler minifig: dwarf with brown helmet What do you think?
  10. Since there are rumours that the Castle advent calendar will be sold out very quickly after it'll be released, I've got one question since I of course want to get this great set, too: Will this calendar only be available on S@H or even in "normal" toy stores?
  11. OK, then excuse me for asking! Since I didn't have the chance to see the pics on Lego.com I did even not know which inventory lists - apart from Town Plan and Green Grocer which were posted here on EB, too - were for a short time available on Lego.com.
  12. I totally agree with you in both aspects, xwingyoda: -A Millenium Falcon would look puny sitting next to oversized fighters. And by the way: I don't think TLG wants to release a Millenium Falcon next year since they already released this big UCS version last year. -I'm, too, are very curious what 2009 will - apart from the anniversary set we're discussing about in this topic - see as OT sets. :'-) I mean and hope: There surely must be some more OT sets than this year since it'll be the 10th anniversary! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It seems that some of you who'd like to see a RBR like me, too, wish to have a Wedge Antilles minifig in this set. Why?! I mean: This would be absolutely unnecessary and boring since we've got this minifig already in the X-Wing Fighter special edition set! Absolutely necessary would be Princess Leia in the same outfit like in the UCS Millenium Falcon, Lieutenant Pello Scrambas, a Tantive 4 Rebel Pilot and an Imperial Officer in black suit! - It's a pity that we did get only three different Imperial officers until know (the black one in the Imperial Shuttle set, the "normal" one and Grand Moff Tarkin) although it would really be not a very big job for TLG to release very different officer types - in contrast to building a completely new mold for a new creature! :-(
  13. Thank you for that information, MrCustomizer! But badly by me it didn't work last August and doesn't even now. Since some of you had the chance to see the pics for a moment: Can anyone perhaps be so kindly and tell me - relating to 10188 Death Star - which minifigs we will might get and what there perhaps will be included in this set, please? - That would be very pleasant!
  14. I don't have anything against fantasy in the Castle theme - in contrast I think that this makes that theme more lovely and exciting! The dwarfs are OK but I hate all the other new fantasy elements becuase they aren't lovely anymore! They are only violent and horrible. Are you really keen on them?! X-O For me that's not the quality of toys I expect from Lego :-( - and I even don't think that Lego has to set on the same level with ugly computer games showing only bloody cruelness and horrible creatures! Lego is a high quality toy and doesn't need to concurate with other companies and branchs on this level! :-$
  15. I totally agree with you, xwingyoda! A toubadour Impulse set would be great! And what about a civilian Impulse set? I mean: That wouldn't be much work for TLG and everybody would like to see something like that: Civilian Impulse Set a pitchfork, a scythe, a back-basket and a barrel and/or abasket filled with vegetables minifig: civilian with two different multifunctions: -there is a bonnet (for female civilians) and a hood (for female and male civilians) -the minifig's head has two faces (like the princess' head in the Skeletton Tower set) : The front shows a female face and the back a male face That would give you the possibility to create male and female Medieval civilians with the same Impulse set! Of course this set might be because of these extras be a bit more expensice than the "normal" Impulse sets but I think it would be a very senible and nice thing. What do you think? I totally agree with you - there have to be more carriages! I'd like very much to see a king's closed carriage similar to with two horses in front of it, with a full treasure box, with the princess, a coacher and two king's soldiers. And since TLG always wants this (sometimes annoying) action aspect: Why not including some rock pice(s), some shrubs and some bad knights or bad civilians or burglars which attack this carriage?!
  16. I totally agree with you, blueandwhite! Wizzards, witches, ghosts and dragons which were included in the Castle theme in the 90th were OK. People in the Middle Ages believed in these creatures. But they didn't believe in undeads, elves, trolls etc. (The dwarfs are a special case becase there really were very little people who actually somtimes worked in the mines because they were so little.) Consequently undeads, elves, tolls etc. don't belong to Castle because they aren't representative for this era. To include them into the Castle theme makes as much sense as to include Jabba and his Sail Barge into a Lego Town. Apart from this aspect I really hate all this creatures like undeads, trolls etc. because they destroy all the other stuff which makes the Castle theme so lovely! I hope that there will be a good vs. bad human faction soon - but please with nice looking bad knights! Thank you very much for that information, legomilk! Here my comments: The 7 new "big sets" surely will be - like some of you already mentioned - the "normal" sets. The 4 "small sets" surely will be Impulse sets. I wouldn't be amazed about when TLG would release one Impulse set with a dwarf, one with a big troll, one with a new creature/knight which will be released in 2009 and one of course again with a king's soldier. The "special set" either will be another Castle advent calendar in 2009 or - what even would be much better - a S@H Exclusive with Medieval minifigs, stuff and huts/houses.
  17. Thank you for that news, legomilk! Since I don't want to ask questions you surely aren't able to answer or/and aren't allowed to answer: Can you please give us only a keyword about what we are in for next year - e. g. "fantasy" or "humans" - or a cathegory - e. g. "forestmen" or "dwarfs"? That would be very nice!
  18. Thank you very much for the pics, Kanal-K1! That Green Grocer looks great! 8-
  19. I made a proposal for a Forestmens' "Super Set". Please have a look at http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...11entry250611 and then write what you think about it. Perhaps you've got some new ideas, too, don't you?!
  20. I know that when I give my statement towards elves I prompt the most of you to bear hatred towards me - but I do it nevertheless: I abhor - apart from dragons, wizzards and witches -all these fantasy creatures - and consequently would abhor elves, too. I mean: Should the "Castle" theme be a Castle theme or be a fantasy theme like Timecruisers, Alphateam or the new Agents? >:-( What I'd prefer are villagers which huts and pitchforks *wub* because they would bring more none-action life and more medieval town life to the Castle theme. But I don't think that TLG will release a whole Castle subtheme including only villagers. Nevertheless there could be the possibility to integrate them into "normal" Castle sets. And there could be some little sets (like e. g. a guarded inn, a little hut, some Impulse sets ...) which include mainly villagers. But in order to do not fly off on a tangent I only refer to the topics http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...topic=9827&st=0 (ideas for new Classic Castle sets) and http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...pic=11915&st=30 (ideas for other Lego "Super Sets"). What I'd like very much, too, would be some forestmen with these old big trees *wub* and I think it would be no problem to bring back this theme - but please not with as ugly creatures as the undeads subtheme in the new "Castle" line. A proposal for a forestmens' "Super Set" (which I made) can be found http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...11entry250611.
  21. I have a new idea: What about a Forestmen "Super Set"?! Forestmens' Secret Headquarters 1. Rope Bridge a baseplate with a little river, a big tree on its left and a big tree on its right side, connected with a rope bridge (surely very similar to http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6071-1?showpic=5343) including some vegetables and a barrel minifigs: a coachman, a brown forestman and a green forestman 2. Secret Headquarters a more wide than high tree with a little cottage built out of wood and/or stones on its bottom the cottage includes a table with two benchs, a cooking site and a chimney including a brown horse, two barrels, two chickens, a big pot and a pan minifigs: Robin Hood and his wife 3. View Tree a very big tree with a little platform near under its top and a little lockabke cave on the bottom of that tree including a treasure box, some gold pieces and a ropeway like in the set http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/3053-1?showpic=1898 to connect the secret headquarters with the view tree minifigs: a brown forestman and a green forestman 4. Archery Range a lttle tree with a target minifig: Robin Hood's son 5. Coach And Little Catapult a coach for the coachman - with one or two black horse(s) - to transport his vegetables and his barrels a little catapult with some stones Comments, questions and new ideas for "Super Sets" are welcome!
  22. I voted of course for minifig scale, OT, space ship (because on the one hand I'd like to have a big rebel space ship as "enemy" for the minifig scaled Imperial Star Destroyer and on the other hand I think that TLG wants to/will release a spaceship and no ground base anyway), lots and lots of minifigs and balance between playability and good look. I'd like to see a Tantive 4 Rebel Blockade Runner or a Home One Mon Calamari Cruiser - each which lots of new characters - like described http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...opic=14742&st=0.
  23. That'll be a great idea to, if you combine it like follows: -Uncle Owen Lars' Moisture farm with the farm house, Uncle Owen Lars, his wife, a jawa and a treadwell droid -Tusken Raiders' Hold-up with some rock pieces, a bantha, the landspeeder, two Tusken Raiders, C-3PO and Luke Skywalker -Uncle Ben's Home with the house, Uncle Ben Kenobi and R2-D2 And what about a big Mos Eisley Cantina remake with "real" Sandtroopers - meaning with rucksacks - with different shoulder patterns (orange, white and black), a dewback, the landspeeder, Luke, Obi-Wan, barkeeper, the dangerous criminal (don't know his name) and this little droid which flys with the Sandtroopers when they search the streets?
