That's an amazing City MOC, AzMean! It's much better then the official one 7892 (although 7892nis really not a bad hospital - otherwise I wouldn't have bought it) because there are more rooms and there even is more room. Hopefully TLC will release a hospital similar to yours if they hopefully release a new one in 2009! Very well done!

2008 Exclusives turn up on "Replacement parts" page
Klaus-Dieter replied to sam89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Some time ago I looked at some photos of some SW MOCs which were drawn in a Lego Store somewhere and somebody presented us here on EB. Regrettable I don't find the topic. (I searched all the evening but supposable I'm blind! (-: ) On the pics you could see a little hangar with some minifigs of old kind but even a black C-3PO minifig behind an open door. Does that mean that the 10188 Death Star perhaps will include a black C-3PO minifig - which would be great - or are there any possibilities that you can design a black C-3PO minifig by yourself? What do you think? EDIT: I made a mistake when searching here on EB. The pic could be found on lugnet on http://www.pinlac.com/LegoStoreBridgewaterDisplay.html. -
That's a great MOC! I like this big tree in front of the tower very much and the tower and its interior is of course very nice, too. Since I'm a real Classic Castle fan I like the Robin Hood theme very much - if only Lego would bring back the Robin Hood theme! Very well done!

That's a very nice MOC, Sir Dillon!
-
That's a great MOC, Athos! I especially like the grapevines and this little very well and lovely designed house. Very well done!
-
That's a great MOC, AL FREDO! I especially like the very well designed outside and the treasure chamber with all these full treasure boxes. Very well done!
-
That's a very nice MOC, DNL! I especially like the black cow and the nice green natural amicable landscape. Very well done!
-
That's a very well designed MOC, RebelRock! But why had it to be a Satanic Cathedral with all these ugly creatures and these horrible details (e. g. the blood and the executions)?! In my opinion that's too bad about the labor because the buildings and the landscape would be great without these satanic things!
-
Thanks for the pics, lluisgib! I totally agree with you, Asuka! The freight helicopter looks great! Why only did TLC not design it as a City set with minifigs (similar to my proposal on http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...ic=9448&st=180) - that would have been amazing?!

Thank you very much for the new information, paksu! Don't be angry with me, but I feel that this article doesn't bring (many) new aspects - it's only to put lipstick on the pig! The only really new aspect is that we perhaps will get new tracks - so it makes no sense to buy now the new RC cargo train because you perhaps won't be able to use its (and generally all now available RC) tracks for the PF trains in 2009. Apart from this the new cargo train is in my opinion very expensive - so I'll wait for what the 2009 train theme will bring with it - hopefully a nice passenger train with a sleeping and dining waggon, a nice cargo train with/and a cargo loading station, a modern engine shed with roller gates and a depot(like http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...pic=9448&st=30) and some accesory buildings similar to the ones I described on http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...pic=9448&st=180 I totally agree with you, paksu! The last year's cargo train looks very nice but this passenger train looks very childish! Hopefully the new 2009 passenger train (I think that there surely will be one) will have a better designed and will include doors! So let's wait for more news and hope for that TLC will design train sets which we AFOLs would like to - but since TLC is working together with AFOLs this is at least a good sign and perhaps it'll help (us)!

Ideas for new Classic Castle sets
Klaus-Dieter replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That are great ideas, Big T! Like TheFrisian I like the idea of the Seige Workshop and the Farm Attack the most, but I would buy each of these sets, too, if TLC releases them. I think that these are really ideas TLC could make becoming reality because action and non-action would be combined, AFOLs would be very glad to see civilian stuff and JFOLs would buy them, too. I hope that TLC will release some civilian stuff (especially farmer minifigs and animals) in the near future because always only knights is not only unrealistic but even drab and boring! -
Indiana Jones Part 4 - Set Pictures are available
Klaus-Dieter replied to Navy Trooper Fenson's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm not interested in Indiana Jones sets. Nevertheless the sets seem to look very nice. I especially like the nice trees - why doesn't TLC include bigger trees similar to them in Castle, City and accessory sets?! -
That's very funny! Very well and lovely designed, rupi!

That's a very nice bus, RupeeClock! I would like to see TLC releasing something similar to this.

Ideas for new Classic Castle sets
Klaus-Dieter replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Since I looked again at the next year's Impulse set of the good knight which includes an armor for a knight on a horse, too, I had an idea: Why doesn't TLC release a set consisting of a brown horse, a red horse, a black horse and a saddle for each one?! These horses could be used for all non-space themes: City, Western and Castle. What do you think? -
Having read your list which City sets you already own, here some hints: In addition to the Heavy Hauler I'd buy some construction side stuff like e. g. a digger. In addition to the Recycle Truck I'd buy an apartment house if there is any sold on Ebay/Amazon/... or build an own one. I personally don't like to combine self-built houses with official sets, but some people do. In addition to the Ferrari Truck I'd buy something like a service station - but in Ferrari questions don't ask me because I'm not very knowing. In addition to the Holiday Train I'd buy a train station. There are some nice and not very expensive (old and new) City sets available on Ebay. I wouldn't buy the new Train Station. It is indeed not expensive but it looks inside very cheap. I'd buy lots of 9V tracks, too, because they won't be sold until now which is a shame! Otherwise I'd say there are very nice sets TLC released this year and is going to release next year - so buy which you like and wich you are financially able to buy. I personally would save my money (and i personally exactly do this) for the 10184 Town Plan because it'll be a great set for people who already own a lot of City sets and even for people who are at the beginning of making up a Lego City. I hope that I could help you. Klaus-Dieter

Yes, some hills, more (bigger brick-built) trees and some other stuff you can use for a landscape would be nice. That would be a great idea, joseph-lowell! I would prefer the telescope coming without ufos and aliens but otherwise it would be a very nice addition to a nice Lego City. But regrettable I fear that a set like this will never be released because too little people would be interested in it - it's a pity.

I agree with you, TheBrickster: Lego sets have actually got bigger. I don't think that the new bigger parts and sets are of lower quality - but bigger really doesn't mean better! Most of all the new big cars annoy me because they only look bigger but not nicer! Look at the new next year's Truck With Fork Lift: It's very similar to http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6367-1?showpic=1218 but the fact that next year's set is bigger is - in my opinion - not a criterion for that this new set is better than its old version - far from it! I like the old truck (though I don't own it) much more than the new one because it looks much lovelier because it isn't as big as the new one and because it has doors. Of course I like the new truck, too, but the old one was nicer, I'd say. The reason for sets getting bigger and bigger is in my opinion that the most sets which are available in "normal" toy stores aren't created for us AFOLs but mainly for kids. And the age of kids playing with Lego is getting lower and lower. Responsible for this develpoment are all the new and very realistic video and computer games and all these movies on TV which go gaga the kis and take away their fantasy. The consequence for TLC due to this bad development is that they have to - or at least mean to have to - create bigger sets because the kids wich play with them are younger and they want to play with bigger sets. And I think that TLC thinks that if the sets are bigger they look like if they were of better quality and playability - a wrong conclusion but some people might be taken in by that. My opinion is that bigger sets aren't better than smallish sets. I wish that TLC brings back sets in the old sets style which include cars and trucks which are only four stuck wide and include doors!

That are great ideas, darthperson8! I would like to see TLC releasing every of theese nice ideas! A mall would be great - or at least some shops and little restaurants. Come on TLC, what's so difficult that there aren't released shops and restaurants?!
-
Thank you very much for the review, THE-FORCE! The new police station looks great! I really like its lovely interior - amazing! By the way: I have a question: Are there any beds, tables or/and seats for the prisoners in their cells?

Do you make a new topic and show us your WW street scene (Would be very nice!)or did you already destroy it? Thank you very much for that praise, The Brickster! Yes, I need a stagecoach, too. Without stagecoach and saloon the WW theme is no WW theme! I think that if TLC hopefully releases a WW "Super Set" then there surely will be included some robbers and of course a bank, too. I mean: Look at next year's new amazing 10184 Town Plan - TLC did include a petrol station although we've got enough petrol stations (for me it'lle be the third one) and even for the JFOLs which don't own older petrol stations there is this year's new petrol station. If you ask me: It'll be the same with a possible WW "Super Set": A bank will surely be included although one was already released. A hotel would be a very nice idea. I remember having seen one of your WW MOCs some time ago - didn't you create something called "shady-in hotel" or something like this? In any case it looked very well desiigned and with some nice interior and without that Ghost Town look (which I personally like) it would be a perfect addition to a WW street scene! Like already mentioned: It isn't due to too little ideas that we don't get new WW sets - but it's due to TLC's will - and that will can sadly not be changed by us. So we only must hope that one day TLC will bring back the WW theme - let's hope!!!

I've got some new ideas: For the Post subtheme: Big Post Truck a big yellow post truck (Maximum 6 stuck wide and with doors!) similar to http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/1552-1?showpic=2115 including some letters and packets minifig: post truck driver For the Cargo subtheme I wish for a new Cargo Center similar to http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6391-1?showpic=2459. For the Train Theme: Two Tracks Level Crossing a two tracks level crossing (means a level crossing where there could go two trains at the same time through this level crossing) with road plate(s), gates with traffic lights and two or three trees (including a little green car (With doors!), a suitcase, a radio set and some tools minifigs: railroad worker and female citizen Signal Tower (S@H Exclusive) a signal tower under which two trains can go, appliance: two writing tables each with telephones, computers and seat and a big screen on one side of the room where no windows are (the other two sides should be ull of windows in order to be able to observe the train traffic) including a suitcase and two electrical light signals minifigs: two signal tower clerks Railroad Worker (Impulse set) including an electrical light signal, a little tree and some tools minifig: railroad worker (Other new ideas for the train subtheme were already mentioned a lot of pages ago.) What do you think about this?

Ideas for other Lego "Super Sets" like 10184 Town Plan
Klaus-Dieter replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
I'd like to have a "Super Set" similar to this one http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6500-1?showpic=6344 but with bigger buildings. Some sort of restaurant/pizzeria, a snack bar and a little supermarket/shop - that would be very nice, don't you think?
