  1. The idea of an old styled shopping center is very nice, too, LEGO Maniac JEM! I only fear that TLC would never release something big like that although this would be a very good idea and would imply a lot of playability. (We already discussed this on http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...pic=9448&st=0.) I like these ideas, maiq the liar! A motel and a supermarket are (parts of sets) TLC should actually release in the near future. Super Sets (which are mainly constructed for AFOLs and only available on S@H, in the Legolands and in special toy shops) would be a very good possibiltiy in which they could be included if TLC thinks releasing sets like shops, hotels, banks, office buildings, apartment houses, etc. in normal toy shops would be a too high financial risc (which I personally don't believe). A big train set similar to the Airport Shuttle from 1989/90 would be great and a depot would be very necessary, too. Mainly the beach Super Set sounds very promising to me and is nothing which has been proposed until now. Very nice!
  2. Thank you for the pics, osakana! I personally am a bit disappointed after having seen these pics! To the Build your own LEGO
  3. That's a very nice MOC, TheBrickster! I espacially like it because the mine has several floors and because of the nice little lorry on the tracks. By the way: Is this little room on the left side which goes from upstairs to downstairs some kind of elevator?
  4. Thank you for your answers, DoubleT and Vader! If there would be no classic SW sets in 2008 besides the Death Star and the Rebel Scout Speeder (which in a sense doesn't belong to episode 4-6) then 2008 will be a very poor year concerning Lego Star Wars!
  5. Sine nobody answered yet my question I put it here again: Does anyone know/think/speculate that there will be more sets from episode 4-6 in 2008 than only the Rebel Scout Speeder and the Death Star?
  6. I've got a new idea in addition to the Airport subtheme: Freight Helicopter a freight helicopter as big as http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6342-1?showpic=1212 with a little freight hold and a hook on the underside to add a big rope with cargo stuff including a big rope, a net (to envelop the cargo stuff hanging down from underside of the helicopter), a lot of cargo stuff, some tools and a radio set minifigs: pilot and worker What do you think? - Some other ideas?
  7. In one point I changed my mind towards the new "Castle" sets: The armors and the saddles of the king's knights are well designed but everything other - I just mentioned. Since I like the two Impulse sets of next year - good knight and good wizzard - I have five ideas for other (Classic) Castle Impulse sets: Damsel Of The Castle including a bed and a treasure box with gold pieces minifig: damsel of the castle (in the 1990 years style with bonnet) Minnesinger including a big candleholder and a historic guitar (I don't know the real name) minifig: minnesinger Good Knight including a horse with saddle and a lot of weapons minifig: good knight with armor Lord Of The Castle including a simple chair, a homer with a letter, a nib and a simple table with an inkpot and a writing paper on it minifig: lord of the castle Medieval Citizen including a hayfork, a basket with some vegetables and a pig minifig: medieval citizen I think that these minifigs would be a very good idea because fans of the new "Castle" line could buy and use them as well as fans of the old nice Classic Castle. What do you think?
  8. Personally I don't believe that this set will be an UCS castle because all UCS sets have this 10... number and are only available in spacial stores, in the Legolands and on S@H. (By the way: I would not be interested in an UCS castle but that's of course no argument.) I hope that this set will be a set with medieval citizens - but with nice ones and no ugly cratures like trolls, undeads & co. Yes, medieval citizens - I would like them very much and have been waiting for years for some of them!
  9. That's a brilliant MOC, Widdi! The house with its nice interior and its nice outside is very well designed and I like the car with doors very much! I would like to see something like this as an official Lego set!
  10. I totally agree with you, Hairy Ruben! Look at the new Mars Mission sets, at the new Aqua Zone sets and at the new "Castle" sets - they don't only show much too much fantasy (which I really hate) but they even show a lot of violence! So the question why Lego City shouldn't be allowed to include violence is absolutely justifiable. I wouldn't go so far as including war stuff in the City theme - that wouldn't be nice, but I would have no problem and I think there is even no problem to include some bank roobers, some riot policemen with their required equipment and vehicles and something similar to this into this theme. I think that the reason for TLC doesn't including violence in the City theme is that: -Lego should be something special - which it is of course - and so TLG needs to separate from other companies which mainly produce cheap war stuff and vehicles and action figures. -Lego wants to bid each age group (mainly each age groop of kids) sets with which they are able to play and they want to play. So the City theme is something for - I'd say preschoolers and pupils in the first and second class - whereas e. g. "Castle" is something for - I'd say third until sixth class. Consequently violence shouldn't be as much included in the City theme than in the "Castle" theme. But that brings us away from the topic, so: I even agree with you that there should be again some sort of new Paradisa sets (I think you meant something like this, didn't you?) - mainly not because I'm so interested in this theme but because I think it would make even girls getting interested in Lego. Of course there is this Bellville theme but ... I personally would like to see some sets similar to the old Paradisa sets, mainly a light house - they needn't to be in pink! And something other: You're right - female minifigs (and even kids minifigs) are totally underrepresented - if TLG isn't thinking about changing something in the near future (they made one step forward with including two minifigs in the amazing new 10184 Town Plan) then everyone's Lego City will one day be uninhabited! (-:
  11. If so that would be very bad. It seems that TLG forbears more and more from the original trilogy. That's very bad because there would be so much potential for new never released vehicles (e. g. Mont Calamari Cruiser, X-Wing Fighter Red One, Two, Four, ...), locations (e. g. Yavin, Endor, ...), buildings (e. g. Luke's or Obi Wan's home, Ewok's town, ...), minifigs (e. g. a huge range of imperial and rebel captains, lieutnants, commanders, ...) and other creatures (e. g. tauntauns, wampa, banthas, Mon Calamaris, Tusken Raiders, Ewoks, ...) and even for rereleasing some of the already released sets. Of course TLG must release products of new subthemes of SW, too in order to do not loose their customers. But forbearing entirely (apart from the 10188 Death Star) from episode 4-6 would be a bad decision because with this development Lego would loose a lot of customers - like for example me - , too. So we can only hope that there will be more sets from episode 4-6 than only the 10188 Death Star but the news until now (only one episode 4-6 set (Rebel Scout Speeder); the Imperial Dropship will include a Shadow Trooper as pilot -> very bad!; eight CW sets means that there is - if at all - very less room for other sets) leaves a lot to be desired! I don't say that sets which aren't from the original triology aren't nice - I think in contrast that some of them are surely as nice created as sets of episode 4-6 - but nevertheless I'm not interested in them and want to see new episode 4-6 sets! So, LEGOscum: Since I don't want that you get trouble only the question: Will there be more episode 4-6 sets in 2008 than only the 10188 Death Star?
  12. That's a very nice idea, jedikermit! It's time that TLC should release again some sort of kiosk, snackbar or pizzeria! And a museum, a library and a playground would be very nice, too.
  13. Thank you for that information, baby! Since I'm only interested in SW episode 4-6 sets: Does anyone know if there will be some episode 4-6 sets in 2008?
  14. Do you think that the RBR will be released next year? On the one hand it might of course be possible and it would also be with regard to the Rebel Scout Speeder very logic. But on the other hand there already will be the exclusive Death Star set which will surely be a big set. And two big sets of the old trilogy in one year sounds a bit unrealistic to me. Other reasons are that next year won't be 30 years celebration of SW so there surely won't be as many sets as this year. Since TLC released only few sets (five) of the old trilogy this year although it is this celebration year there surely will be yet less sets of this sort next year. I think that there will be (besides the two BPs in january) one or two sets of the old trilogy coming out in spring/summer and later the Death Star, but otherwise there will be mainly sets of the already discussed Clone Wars Series, perhaps some other EU or FU sets, but I'm not interested in these. I hope that there will be more little sets - especially BPs. One or two Hoth BPs with more Snowies, Rebels and some sort or commander/captain for each party would be absolutely necessary to extend the nice 7666 Hoth Rebel Base! I totally agree with you, SirNadroj! TLC should create more sets of own themes. I especially think of space (not Mars Mission or something ugly like this one, but nice space shuttles and space ports and space stations which don't include any action or fantasy parts and minifigs ... - A space station would be very nice, don't you think?!), adventures, pirates (which you already mentioned) and - most of all - Wild West! And I think it can't lie with the ideas - there are hundreds of MOCs presented and ideas written down here on EB (and surely in other forums, too) - it's only the decision of TLC!
  15. Why don't you make a poll here on EB whether people would prefer to be the 10185 Green Grocer set in CC style or in Town Plan style, xwingyoda?! (I would make that poll, too, but I don't know how to make a poll here on EB.)
  16. A drive in, that's a very nice idea, yovnocrats! - I would never have hit on it! You description is very detailed so that everybody can imagine what you mean. Very well done! I've got only one question: Don't you think that there is missing some sort of kiosk?
  17. I hope that Green Grocer will be a set similar to the new great Town Plan set, too, xwingyoda! Nevertheless I don't think that - if hopefully not - Green Grocer will be a CC styled set, TLC will turn it into a Town Plan set if Town Plan sells very well (what I surely do not doubt - I'll surely buy one, too). The reason for this is that TLG invents the sets - I think - at least one year before they release them. Changing the set completely in the last moment (10184 will be sold in january, I guess 10185 in spring) is - in my opinion - impossible. The only possibility to change the outfit of 10184 from CC to Town Plan style would be if Green Grocer is going to be sold in late 2008. But I'm still optimistic: Perhaps TLC noticed that CC styled buildings are too expensive in comparison to their outfit and playability. So they perhaps - hopefully - decided to create a mixture between CC style and "normal" City style which succeeded very well with 10184. By the way: Since 10184 is a very big set I don't think that 10185 will be very big, too. In my opinion Green Grocer even needn't to be as big as Town Plan - a nice two floors big building open in the back with some nice interior, with some nice minifigs, a little car with doors and some nice accessory would be adequate (and better compatible for my purse), too! So let's hope for a Town Plan styled 10185 Green Grocer. That's by the way the only thing we can do - to hope! (-:
  18. That are some very nice ideas, darthperson8! By the way: If you're interested: I posted some ideas on http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...t=0#entry210101 . Perhaps you'd like to write some comments to them or some new ideas, too!
  19. Here another idea for a Town Square: City Center 1. Jeweler a jeweler's shop in white and black colours, consisting of two floors: first floor: window display, showcase and table with computer and cash box second floor: jeweler's studio with writing table with telephone and with several appliances including some jewels, some gold pieces, two clocks, some tools and two grey suitcases minifigs: jeweler, security transport officer and woman 2. Post Office a post office in yellow and red colours, consisting of only one floor: desk with telephone and computer, bancomat and a big foliage plant including a rucksack, some packets and some letters minifigs: post officer and little boy 3. Boutique a noble boutique in pink and white colours or light blue and white colours with lots of big windows, consisting of two floors: first floor: two window displays, hallstand and table with computer and cash box second floor: two hallstands and a changing cubicle including some pieces of clothing minifig: saleswoman and little girl 4. Bus Station a bus station in form of a shelter and a display panel including a suitcase minifig: bus driver 5. Little Bus and Security Transport Van a little bus in white and blue colours with doors a security transport van (similar to the delivery van in the "Pizza to Go" set from 199?) with doors in the front and doors behind to load the van (similar to the new post car from 2008) That's it! Do you have some other/new ideas, too?
  20. As we saw a lot of pics which show the inside of all these fantastic buildings being part of the new amazing Town Plan set I've got nevertheless a question because you can't see this on the pics: Does anyone know if there is some interior on the (looking from behind into the town hall) left side of the town hall? By the way: I remember me and my brother building some cinemas out of some few Lego bricks - Oh my goodness! that was 10-15 years ago. These cinemas were artless not halfway as good as this great cinema included in the new awesome Town Plan set! I hope that TLC is going to release more sets like this new storming Town Plan in the future!
  21. I wrote down a (not really) new idea for a big Wild West "Super Set" on http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...t=0#entry208446 . Perhaps you want to read it and write down some comments or other ideas (it needn't be only WW), too!
  22. I was thinking about that, too, LEGO Maniac JEM! Do you mean a set based on the old sets like http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/1589-1?showpic=5770 or http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/1592-1?showpic=5761 ? That would be great! A proposal for this idea: Town Square 1. Bank a bank in black and grey colours with lots of big windows, consisting of two floors: first floor: counter with computer, safe, big foliage plant, bancomat inside and bancomat outside second floor: writing table with computer and telephone, three seats, a little foliage plant and a little cupboard with a coffee machine including some gold pieces, some bills, two cups and a suitcase minifigs: two bankers (one male and one female) and a salesman (2. Greengrocer a greengrocer's shop in white and green colours, consisting of only one floor: rack on the one side and table with cash box on the other side including some boxes and a huge assortment of fruits and vegetables minifigs: greengrocer and woman 3. Hotel a noble hotel in yellow and white colours, consisting of two floors: first floor: entrance with revolving door, reception with telephone and key boxes (behind the reception) and two seats with a little table second floor: guestroom with bed, writing table with telephone, seat and a little foliage plant; bath room with washbasin and toilet (a shower would be nice but I fear that there is too little place) including two suitcases and three keys minifigs: hotelier and suitcase carrier 4. Knight Statue a statue in the form of a totally black knight on a white stand including a dog minifig: old man with walking stick 5. Limousine And Greengrocer Delivery Van a black limousine with doors in the front (where the driver sits) and with doors back (where the rich man/woman sits) a white-green greengrocer delivery van (similar to the delivery van in the "Pizza to Go" set from 199?) with doors in the front and doors behind to load the van (similar to the new post car from 2008) What do you think? Is this something you thought about, too, LEGO Maniac JEM? (Another wish/idea/proposal will follow in about 20 minutes!)
  23. That's a very nice idea, Lt. Col. Thok! Anyway I don't understand why TLC hasn't released a school until now. I think that mainly JFOLs would like something like this very much and would consequently even buy it.
  24. I hope that the pilot of the Imperial Dropship won't be a Shadow Trooper but a TIE Pilot because I'm not interested in EU sets. If the Imperial Dropship will nevertheless include a Shadow Trooper as pilot I won't buy this set! By the way: When we saw the first pics of the TIE Crawler there were two TIE Pilots on the pics - and first the later pics showed two Shadow Troopers. Maybe it'll be the same with the Imperial Dropship: Now we see a Shadow Trooper on the pics and the final pics will - hopefully - show a TIE Pilot. Since the Imperial Dropship is a BP to fight against the Scout Rebel Speeder BP it would even make no sense to include a Shadow Trooper in this set because Shadow Troopers don't take part in episode 4-6.
  25. After having noticed the great news of TLC releasing the 10184 Town Plan for 150 Euros (in Germany) already in January 2008 I had an idea: Since the 10184 Town Plan is - in my opinion and surely in the opinion of the most AFOLs and JFOLs - the best Lego (City) set which has been ever released, I thought it would be nice to collect ideas of you which other "Super Sets" like this one you would like to buy. In order that you know what I mean with "Super Sets" following description: If TLC will somewhere in the future release some other sets like this excellent 10184 Town Plan then perhaps with a similar construction. That means - looking at 10184 - concretely: 1. first building (Gas Station) with three minifigs (shop owner, fuel tanker driver and man with barrow) 2. second building (Cinema) with two minifigs (cinema owner and woman for the bar) 3. third building (Town Hall) with two minifigs (couple) 4. little addition (fountain) with one minifig (man with newspaper) 5. two vehicles or something other (fuel tanker and wedding car) This is the construction of 10184 - and now you can write down your ideas for sets with simillar construction - not only from the City theme, but also Castle, WW, SW, Space, ... whatever you want! Since I have of course some ideas and wishes, too - my first proposal: For the 35 jears jubilee 2010 of Wild West sets a set similar to 365 from the year 1975: http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/365-1?showpic=1089 Wild West Scene 1. Saloon a saloon in red and yellow colours consisting of two floors: first floor: room with swinging door, counter, rack, two-four seats and table second floor: balcony and room with bed, cupboard and commode including two barrels, a horse, some cups, some tumblers and a suitcase minifigs: saloon owner, cowboy and bandit 2. Post Office a post office in yellow and brown colours consisting of two floors: first floor: post office with desk and rack second floor: post man's apartment with a bed, a table with an oil lamp and a seat including some letters and packets minifis: post man and old man with top hat 3. Bank a bank in white, red and blue colours (similar to the one in the Legoredo Town set from the year 1996) consisting of only one floor: counter with safe including some gold pieces and some bills minifigs: banker and bandit 4. Watering Place a watering place consisting of: a big water barrel and two shrubs including a horse minifig: sheriff 5. Stage Coach a stage coach in red and yellow colours including two horses, some gold pieces, some suitcases, a box, a treasure box and some letters minifg: coachman and woman You perhaps noticed that I would like to have 10 minifigs in this proposed set although I wrote that these "Super Sets" should be very similar constructed to 10184 Town Plan. But of course variations are allowed. You perhaps see that I did only include one vehicle (instead of two) in this set. Instead of the missing second vehicle I would prefer two more minifigs for better playability. So, that's my first proposal - and where are yours?!
