  1. That's a very interesting topic, TheBrickster! Unluckily I firstly post now. I must say that the new Egyptian sets from Playmobil are ! Of course I'd like to see some Lego Egypt sets, too, but only if they were in about the same quality like the Playmobil ones! But I doubt TLG ever releasing something similar to that - at least TLG surely would not release all that many brilliant civilian stuff which comes with it! Klaus-Dieter
  2. I totally agree with you, TheBrickster! TLG should "rerelease" the WW theme of 1996/97 - but in a completely new "color": Imo the theme should more focue on civilian stuff than on army stuff. And the houses should of course be two floors big! Ohterwise the old theme was great and there is not more to complain about it! I totally agree with you, Cpt. Pegleg Blockbeard! A Colosseum - or at least something which looks similar to that - would be amazing! But I doubt that if TLG releases a Roman theme they'd release a Colosseum at all. And if yes, than I highly that it'll be a really nice and architectual very fitting building with great minifigs (gladiators, Cesar and soldiers) and wild animals. I'll comment on that more precisely later. When you look at our poll (at least which results it shows until now) then Egypts wouldn't be that demanded by us fans. But Romans are. Lego releases this year a new Pirates theme in more or less classic style. Playmobil did some years before. So I agree: The chances are very high for a Roman theme. I'll comment on that more precisely later, too. Klaus-Dieter
  3. That's a great topic and poll, TheBrichster! It's a shame that I firstly detected it now! I really like the Adventures theme although I did only buy very few sets which don't exist yet in my Lego collection. I voted for Egyptian Desert since Egypts' tombs, pyramides, temples, tomb raiders, etc. were always something very interesting, mystical and fasctinating for me in my childhood as well as even now. Imo TLG did brilliantly degisn the sets in this theme since they all looked very realistic and without much fantasy! But if TLG releases a new adventures theme I hope it'll be more like a historical theme - meaning tomb raiders at the time directly after pharao were put into their graves. And there should be more Egyptian monumental buildings and great vehicles (such as the ship for the dead pharaos). Klaus-Dieter
  4. Thank you all very much for your votes and comments so far! It's great to see so many people being interested in this poll! I must say that I supposably had the same problem like many of you, too: I listed a lot of proposals which would surely be great themes. But to vote for more than one would make no sense. So it was a hard decision. But there's always one theme which you prefer more than all the other theme which themselves you prefer over all possible themes. So I voted for: Wild West I really did like the Western theme of 1996/97 - it was a great theme with great sets, excellent buildings and locations, amazing vehicles and brilliant minifigs! But regrettably TLG stopped continuing it . So I hope that TLG will continue this theme or release a new Western theme - both would be fine with me! But the most important thing would be - if TLG hopefully releases some new WW sets - that they do really not forget to release a lot of sets which they regrettably missed in the WW theme of 1996/97: a Western train with train station, a saloon, a stage coach with post office and a farm! Of course there'd be many, many other sets which could and should be released, too (e. g. a mine, a gold wash, an apartment house, a church with grave yard, a mercantile, ...) - but these are the imo most important ones! But of course I'd be interested in some of the other themes, too. Here is my ranking: 1. Wild West 2. Ghost Town 3. Romans without fantasy 4. Egypts 5. Indians The other themes are interesting, too, but I'm not that interested in them. Klaus-Dieter
  5. I totally agree with you, KimT! I, too, thought about the new MF being about the same size like the Droud Gunship since this firstly would show that it is no mini-modell and secondly TLG could add some mini-interior to it. Some/One minifig(s) could be added to the set in a polybag (like with the TIE Advanced) or may even be in the box. Nevertheless it would be a shame if the MF isn't minifig-scaled. I totally agree with you, ADHO15! A MF which is not in minif-scale would be ! I luckily bought the last version of the minifig-scaled MF in 2004. But if the new MF would be in minifig-scale and come with new (in no other sets this year available) minifigs and great accessory I would perhaps sell the old one and buy the new one. But only when this would be the case. But nevertheless I must say that we have to await three great OT sets this year (to judge from what we've heard until now - pics did unluckily not arrive yet ) - the Echo Base, the Battle of Endor and the Home One Mon Calamari Cruiser set. Plus there perhaps will be a minifig-scaled exclusive Tantive 4 (if you believe the rumours which I do). So actually nothing to complain about - even if the MF might be ! Klaus-Dieter

I totally agree with you, Sammael! Imo the hospital from 2006 wasn't bad - the only two things which disturbed me was that it was built on a hill and that the landing platform for the helicopter was smaller than the helicopter itself. Otherwise it was a really nice set - but not an amazing set! Your proposal for the content of a possible new hospital set is absolutely that what I'd like to see, too! If TLG releases a hospital like that this would me totally amazing!!! Why don't you write down your great proposal here?! Klaus-Dieter
  7. It's very interesting that the mid-scale MF as well as the Home One plaset disappeared on the list of Kiddiwinks. But I remember the mid-scale MF being I think about 40 Euros. And at this price a regular MF like we saw in 1999 and in 2004 is absolutely impossible! So either the price on Kiddiwinks was wrong or we might get some sort of bigger mini-Millenium Falcon which comes with some/one additional minifigs. Imo a bigger mini-version would make absolutely no sense. In the other hand there are already so many and even big and expensive sets this year that a regular minifig-scaled MF sounds a bit unrealistic. I don't know. Klaus-Dieter
  8. Hello everybody! Some time ago CopMike offered us to send him a mail with ideas for new themes (not Castle, not City and no licensed theme). Since this chance stopped/stopps today I thought that it would be really interesting which theme you proposed or would have proposed if you had time to write a proposal. Since it's imo obvious that there'll be a new historical theme in 2011 I limited this poll (and even this topic) to new historical themes. Why I do think that there'll be a new historical theme?! - In 2007 we got the new "Castle" theme, this year (2009) the new Pirates theme - so there seems to be a new historical theme every two years. But now to the poll: I know that it'll be difficult to vote since I limited the vote to only one but lots of you (me included) surely would like several of these possible new historical themes. (But it wouldn't make sense to be aible to vote for several themes because then we'd surely get no clear result.) So please vote for the one you'd like the most! Here a short description of possible new historical themes: Stone Age: hunter-gatherer, mammoths, caves, ... Egypts: Egypts, tomb raiders (at the time when there was the heyday of Egypt with the built of pyramides, ...), buildings (pyramides, temples, tombs, ...), vehicles (ship of the dead pharaoe, ...), ... Greeks without fantasy: Greeks, buildings, war stuff (Trojan horse, ...), vehicles (trireme, ...) ... - but no fantasy elements and fantasy creatures Greeks: same like the on before - but less buildings but would include fantasy elements and fantasy creatures Romans without fantasy: Romans, buildings (Colosseum, Citcus Maximus, Roman villa, ...), war stuff, vehicles ("racing car", ...), ... - but no fantasy elements and fantasy creature Romans: same like the on before - but less buildings but would include fantasy elements and fantasy creatures Jungle folk: jungle people, wild animals, little huts, ... Incas/Mayas/Aztecs: Incas/Mayas/Aztecs, buildings (pyramides, ...), war stuff, ... Incas/Mayas/Aztecs and conquerors: Incas/Mayas/Aztecs, conquerors, buildings (pyramides, colonial buildings, ...), war stuff, vehicles (conquerors' ships, ...), ... Wild West: cowboys, soldiers, bandits, settlers, farmers, miners, buildings (saloon, farm, post office, train station, sheriff's office, ...), war stuff (canons, ...), vehicles (stage coach, covered waggon, ...), ... - but no fantasy elements and fantasy creatures Ghost Town: same like the on before - but less buildings but would include fantasy elements and fantasy creatures Indians: Indians, tepees, war stuff, vehicles (canoes, ...), ... Mexicans: Mexicans, buildings (Mexican houses, ranch, ...), vehicles, ... Other: Please explain your idea in your comment! So please vote! Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  9. That's an amazing MOC, Hinckley! Although you know that I don't like CC styled buildings (because of their backwalls) I really this your MOC! It's so perfectly designed with lots of details and great architecture! And the lift looks very realisitic, too! I hope that TLG will release more buildings in and older architectual style like yours in the City theme, too! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for that information, Lord Santos! Great to hear that it will include PFs and will be not much smaller than the wind power plant in 4999! Well, we´ve had the Cargo Plane, too. And stores do still sel the blue plane and the airport, at least in Sweden. Don´t think it will be a plane turbine either though, because a member (I think it was Lord Santos, whack forgive me if I´m wrong) said that he had seen a pic of the set some pages back. That's right - many of the airport/airplane sets are still available. Plus I bet that next year there will be a comeback of minimum one of following three themes from which we haven't seen new sets for a long while: aiport and/or fire and/or hospital (which I really would prefer - a really big hospital with lots of rooms and minifigs would be so !). Klaus-Dieter
  11. A bit late but nevertheless: Thank you very much for the pic of the RSD, legomilk! Although I'm really no CW fan (I really did not like the movie which was shown last summer in cinema - ) I must say that I really that RSD! Supposably that's because all the big and harmonic designed vehicles have a big emission! The Palpatine minifig and the two Senate Guards look really with there corny and crude colors - but since this should be a CW set this has to be like that. Although this RSD really looks I surely won't buy this set since I don't collect non-OT sets in the Lego SW theme. Dark Brickz, I highly doubt that TLG will release a minifig-scaled version of the RSD and an UCS version in the same year - that would be totally counterproductive! But I have no clue which UCS set TLG will release this year - difficult to say since it might be a vehicle or a character and from CW or OT. I could well imagine that the rumours for a minifig-scaled Tantive 4 (which we heard a while back) were right since this vehicle is - at least since the release of the minifig-scaled ISD - really, really needed and it would be a perfect 10-years-set! But if it is released I hope that it won't cost as much as 10188 or the UCS MF! Btw: Do you think that the Mon Calamari Cruiser set will be announced at the US toy fair only without pics (which would make absolutely no sence since we already know the set name, the set number and a circa price) or with pics? Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you very much for this great review, svelte corps! I voted for Above Average since this set does not include only vehicles but even not only buildings - but both. I think that mainly for JFOLs this is a great set. I personally I'm not that enthusiastic about this set since I already own the S@H version of the excellent Main Street - and I don't need more than one construction site. But I even think that the price of 100 Euros is ok since there are a lot of "things" included in this set: the great house, the mini digger, the mobile crane, the other crane and the transport vehicle. Sine I grew up with all the nice and lovely 4-stuck wide cars I can't cotton to all these big vehicles . But the house itself is ! Klaus-Dieter

I totally agree with you, Yeow! The licenses for the Vestas set surely don't allow TLG do release the same set (but without Vestas stickers) for the general public. To the set name whung wrote in the 2009 sets (all) subforum: Like already mentioned I don't know whether the wind power plant in this set will be smaller than the one in the Vestas set or not, whether it'll run with PF or not, whether there'll be a motor and a battery box included or not and even not whether this set will include the little mountain or not. But about one thing I'm very sure: Since it is called Wind Turbine Transport the transport vehicle in this set surely will not transport the whole wind power plant (which would in reality even not be possible) but only the wind turbine. Why should it be named Wind Turbine Transport otherwise?! Klaus-Dieter
  14. Thank you very much for that great review, svelte corps! Altough I would have prefered a hot dog stand I really like this set - it's so lovely with the stand with al its details! so I voted for Outstanding. I can't wait to buy one, too. Klaus-Dieter
  15. I got mine yesterday and started to built it up today. It's simply  !!! There are so many and lovely details and additional stuff included in this set that you must really say that the price of 100 Euros is a really good price performance ratio! Klaus-Dieter

It's not only because of the 6-stuk-wideness that I don't like that car. The reasons are: -m.g.bl.ck.sh trailer (the white part with the horse sticker on it) -van without doors -van without "back door" (for which there really would have been place!) -trailer and van too big The van is not the part which I dislike that much - the main part is the trailer which is too big and looks m.g.bl.ck.sh. But that's my opinon. And imo you don't have to like every set although when you are a real Lego fanatican. Klaus-Dieter
  17. That's a really nice MOC, DJ Force! I must admit that I'm not very familiar with cars - and so don't even no that car. But I must say that it is very well designed and looks very realistic! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  18. That's totally amazing, rriggs! Your LDD versiones - mainly the bus station - look very similar to the official sets! Very well done! Btw: Did you buy one of these three Factory excluvise sets and use the CD which comes with them (or at least with the last set, I don't know)? Because I can only put one brick to another in 90 degree, 180 degree and 270 degree. There are no other possibilites. And the ladders and tracks aren't included in my brick depot, too. Klaus-Dieter
  19. That's a really good idea, MacK - I didn't think of that yet! They only have simple black cars which I designed after the instruction of the car in the 6472 Gas N' Wash Express set (of course my cars have a blue light on top). There will even be some sharpshooters and some aquanauts. Klaus-Dieter
  20. I checked my Lego.Factory gallery: TV Car Chase: "Pending approval" - that means it'll take one or some days until it'll be public. So please be patient. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the link, metalandi and the pics of the new tractor, hippotam! I totally agree with WhiteFang: Like all the other great Farm sets (apart from the horse trailer) and the amazing City set s in summer/fall I really can't wait to get this set! Since this set seems to be called Wind Turbine Transport I think that the transport vehicle will only carry the turbine itself - without "wings" and "tower". Like somebody (I think it was Lord Santos) already mentioned: The lovely cottage will unluckily not be included in this set! Which concerns the height of the windmill I, too, fear that it would be much smallish than the Vestas wind power plant. And which concerns the little mountain and the inclusion of the PF motor and battery box I could imagine both: no and yes. So we'll have to wait until we'll get more information and/or pics - but that regrettably surely will take until late spring. But nevertheless the wind power plant will surely be a great set - whatever there'll be included and how big it will be. Klaus-Dieter
  22. Thank you very much for your nice comment, momo59 fan of lego city! I thought that it would be more interesting to add some multicolor lights than only of one color. Klaus-Dieter
  23. Thank you all very much for your nice comments! Thanks, Skinny Boy! LDD regrettably doesn't offer that type of windows in grey - otherwise I'd of course used them. Thanks, DJ Force! I'm really not a big fan of 6 stuck wide cars. They might look more realistic - that may be right. But nevertheless I prefer 4 stuck wide cars since they remind me of the classic Town/City sets. Plus I simply like them much more than 6 stuck wide since they look more lovely and don't need that much space on the road plates. Thanks, MacK! I really would have liked to add car doors to the other two cars, too, but regrettably LDD only offers them in red. And I thought that it would look really bad if I add red doors to a car which should be grey or white-blue. That's a great idea, MacK! I already designed a SWAT unit a long time ago - but with real minifigs (with LDD that wouldn't look good). I only have to add some stickers (special torsos) to them. Then I'll perhaps show them to you around Easter. Thanks, Zobras! Like already mentioned the windows are regrettably not available in grey in LDD. To the back roof of the grey van: I wanted to design it in that way - but that's very difficult since the plate above the cockpit is not straight on the left and the right side. Plus the roof of the luggage trunk has to be affixed, too. And then there is again always the problem that some bricks are not available in LDD - and some are only available in other colors. To the 360° view of the grey van: I don't want to upload that many pics on BS since I already have there surely already minimum 100 pics. But when you download LDD and go to Lego.Factory, there to the gallery and enter my name you can find my gallery where you can download the inventory of this my MOC, too. Klaus-Dieter
  24. Hello everybody! Before my Christams semester holidays are over and the first tests are arriving I wanted to show you my last TV MOC I designed with LDD: TV Car Chase Pieces: 254 Price: ??? And action! After a hot car chase through Lego City: The criminal runs into the womans car. He gets off his van and walks with his pistol towards the woman which got off her car, too. One bang and - cut! Is the sequence ready or must it be re-enact? This set comes with a camera van, a big van for the criminal, another car, criminal, woman, cameraman and assistant. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter

I, too, hope that the/a little mountain with green BURPs will be included in this set! I mean: If the windmill is running with batteries and a motor then there has to be a mountain on which the wind power plant stand because there must be much place for the battery box. And a mountain with a bench, some foliage plants and a wind power plant on would simply look ! If there isn't a little moutain included in this set, this would mean: Either we have to buy the motor and the battery box seperately or/and the battery box can't be hided and so you can see it. Thank you very much for that information, legomilk! I personally are without doubts that there won't be PF trains in regular toy shops this year since there will be already three City subthemes: construction, farm and "town" - and there haven't been more than three subthemes every year until now. Plus the German customer's catalogue doesn't show that the sale of RC train sets will only be as long as stock suffices. So if there is a PF train this year it surely will be a S@H Exclusive. I think that this train then surely will be a passenger train (although I'd prefer a cargo train since I don't own a cargo train yet) - perhaps a mixture between the Sant Fe sets and the Metroliner. Let's surprise us. Klaus-Dieter
