  1. Thank you very much for that pic, donneyboy! This minifigure collection is much better than the first volume. But nevertheless the minifigures included in it are totally mixed. I really don't understand why TLG does not release one collection with only Space minifigs, one with only City minifigs, one with only Castle minifigs and one with only Pirate minifigs. I surely won't buy it since I'm not interested in these Space minifigs and apart from that it's imo much too expensive! Klaus-Dieter
  2. Thanks KD. It's hard to get away from the Wild West design for someone who's created a lot of WW MOCs. TheBrickster, I didn't mean that the first house looked improperly and that a Western farm would be bad. In contrary: Perhaps you'd like to design a new WW farm based on this farm, won't you? It's those cypress trees. I totally agree with you, TheBrickster! These cypress trees were so beautiful! I really don't understand why TLG stopped including them in newer sets! Klaus-Dieter
  3. Thank you very much for your nice comment, TheBrickster! It's nice to hear that you like the interior! With the bedroom you're right - a bit more color and a better designed bed would not have been wrong. I'm very happy to get such much feedback. But since I deisgned this MOC about one year I destroyed it already before a long time so that I can't change things. But perhaps I'll build another farm and then I'll try to include all the elements you all would like to see. Klaus-Dieter
  4. Hello everybody! After about half a year of having not designed some new Western MOCs I wanted to try a new MOC. I thought that - inspired by TheBrickster's and BrickMiner's awesome Ghost Town MOCs - it would be surely interesting to try to build a Ghost Town MOC with LDD. Of course it's not that perfect like BrickMiner's or TheBrickster's MOCs! So here you are: Ghost Town Graveyard Pieces: 433 Price: 58,86 Euros (Germany) It's midnight. The graveyard of the mysterious Ghost Town lays in total darkness. Cowboy James and sheriff Blackwater enter the gate. They are searching for Santa Legorana - but he doesn't seem to be there. Suddenly the graves open, some skelettons and a ghost cowboy attack the two. Will they overwhelm them? This set includes the graveyard of Ghost Town with a lot of action elements, a black horse, sheriff Blackwater, cowboy James, two skelettons, a ghost cowboy and a lot of accessory. Here you can see the opened grave, the tomb slap comming down and the treasure box in the chapel falling down from the attic: Here is a view on the graveyard before it was midnight: To the "building history" of this set: Like you perhaps can see I used some elements of the official Harry Potter set Graveyard Duel (is this the official name?) and a lot of elements of TheBrickster's amazing Grave Stone MOCs like e. g. from the Shaddow Chapel. I wanted to deisgn a Western set which could be used for two themes: For the "normal" WW theme and for the Ghost Town subtheme. For the "normal" WW theme you could use it since every bigger town in the Wild West had a little church (and mostly a graveyard, too). That's even why I included some nice interior in the chapel in order to use it as a "non-Ghost-Town-themed" church, too. Sor the Ghost Town theme you could use it - well, I think I don't have to say there much since this is obvious. I wanted to include some action elements in this set since if there is a new WW theme TLG surely would include some action elements in the sets, too, and secondly since this rises the playability and should be very similar to the "old" amazing WW theme of 1996/97. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  5. I think that the price is too low but your idea is great, Commander Flesh! I, too, would so much like to get a new Western street scene with some buildings TLG regrettably didn't offer us in the last amazing WW theme. Klaus-Dieter
  6. That's a great idea for a topic and surely an interesting quiz, TheBrickster! Unluckily I don't know one single Western song. So sorry. But I'm very interested how your other MOCs which shall represent the songs will look like! Klaus-Dieter
  7. I think that last year we got rumours about this year's February SW sets in about the end of July (and after my knowledge only one of the rumours was wrong) - so there is about half a year to wait! But there will be the Home One set, the MF, the Pirate Tank and surely even a UCS set and maybe even a bigger vehicle (a Tantive 4 would be so - but after the Venator I highly doubt that we'll get one this year) about which we haven't got any infomation yet. I know that it's really not so much fun to have to wait that long - but it's like that. So we'll have to wait. Klaus-Dieter
  8. Thank you all very much for your nice comments! Thanks, BlueBard! Yes, I wanted to create an old farm house you can find in Germany. If it's similar or not similar to farm houses in other European countries I don't know since I must admit that I didn't inform me about that. Thanks, eti! I didn't think much about what the chicken legs which are hanging on the wall shall be. But yes, that they are harms which hang there to dry is supposably the most likely possibility - good idea. Thanks, Eilif! Nice to read that you like the table. But ok and thanks for your tips, Steve! Thanks, Rog! You're totally right. Some years ago I got a lot of used bricks as a gift. But unluckily I washed them to hot or whatsoever - now they're bent. But when I've got time I'll sort them out. Thanks, Asuka! Like I already mentioned: I wanted to design a German farm house. But I don't know whether it could be Mediterranean or something other, too. If so that's no problem. Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thank you very much for this information, Sir von Lego! This means that we then very early in August have to go to Kaufhof in order to get one chrome black Darth Vader since these giveaways are surely very limited. The details you mentioned on the Endor set still make me wanting to buy it much more! An exploding function is great (although I'm an AFOL )! And it seems as if TLG learned something: The AT-ST can not only walk or turn its head - but now can both! And thank you very much for the price information, Sir von Lego! The Echo Base and the Endor set aren't cheap - but I think that their prices are ok. Mainly for the awsome Endor set with its great bunker and its many brilliant minifigs - - I think 100 Euros is arguable! Klaus-Dieter
  10. Again that's a great MOC, patreek! I really like the architecture. And the interior is - with the regrettably very limited possibilities of LDD - very well done. I really would like to see TLG releasing a clothes shop, too! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  11. Thanks, BlueBard! No, I haven't got a special preference. If only you don't place it into the dustbin it's ok. Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you very much for the information on the prices of the new sets, Sir von Lego! The advent calendars are getting more and more expensive from one year to another! So hopefully the contents will justify its price. But at this point I'm very sure since last year's City advent calendar was ! Btw: Does someone know when we got information on the two Factory Space sets last year? Since if there are some Factory sets this year, too, then we'll surely get information on them about the same time like last year. Do you think that there will be some Factory sets this year, too, or does perhaps someone even have a hint? Klaus-Dieter
  13. Thank you very much for your nice comment, prateek! And btw: You didn't steel the idea since revolving doors were already used in two official Lego sets and surely in a lot of MOCs, too. Thanks for the correction, Justin! I'm sorry but I'm not that good in English. Klaus-Dieter

    City '09?

Thank you very much for that information, Bricks! I believe you but nevertheless three prices seem to be a bit unrealistic to me: The wrecker (7638) is imo for 13 Euros a bit expensive whereas the camper (7639) sound to be 3 Euros to less to me. In total they are the same as the tractor and the horse trailer together. But since the horse trailes is already 20 Euros I would have thought that the camper will be 20 Euros, too. And since the tractor is 10 Euros I would have thought that the wrecker will be 10 Euros, too. Anyway the sum is the same - and that's good! But I must say that the price of the awesome City Corner sounds to me absolutely unrealitic. Perhaps you read the trade price and not the recommended retail price since 50 Euros sound to me much too less for this great set. I looked into the customer's catalogue and there read that the fire station is 63 Euros. So the City Corner must be minimum the same price, too, but I think that it'll be 70 Euros. If this information is nevertheless right then I fear, like Lockt, too, that there won't be much interior in the two great buildings. But that would be really a shame since the exterior of the buildings is perfect! I would prefer to pay 20 Euros more (although that's very hard for my wallet) and get a lovely interior, too, then to pay less and have nearly no interior. Klaus-Dieter
  15. That are two great Farm MOCs, TheBrickster! I really like them. The first farm house you designed reminded me a bit of a Western farmhouse if the roof and the balcony was changed a bit. The new farm house looks very nice, too. And the interior is very nice, too. I even like all the foliage plants you added to your farm houses - that makes them looking so calm and peacefully that you even in the addition with the official farm sets really think that you're now on a acre in front of a big farm. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  16. I'm a bit late, too. But nevertheless here my comments and ideas: Your street scene and your LDD MOCs look great! For the street scenes: What about -a derelict with a beer bottle lying/sitting on a bank, -a newsstand, -some kids playing basketball, -a hot dog stand, -some police men which arrest a burglar? And by the way: It would be nice if you add my sigfig to your street scene, too. Here it is: Klaus-Dieter
  17. Sorry for the late answer - I forgot it. Yes, they actually shall be dummies. Klaus-Dieter
  18. These are some very nice MOCs, BlueBard! I especially like the old man with the wheelchair (excellent design! )and the man with the street telephone. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  19. These are great MOCs, benny! I really them! The boats are very well designed and there are a lot of very realistic details! The only thing which I miss a bit at the big fishing boat is a net. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  20. That's a great MOC, prateek! I really like it! The exterior as well as the interior is very well designed and there are a lot of very realistic details! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  21. I'm very, very sceptic whether this will not turn out to get a big flop! I mean: 1. If TLG releases some games, then please not 10, since there can't be enough ideas for 10 games. 2. When you read the description of the first game it says that you are allowed to make your own rules. You are allowed to make your own rules?! If it's like that, for what do I then need to buy an expensive play - I can take some bricks and build the game myself, too. 3. Lego is known for Lego sets and bricks. I'm really not sure about that many people will make the step further to buy some Lego games. Imo TLG would have done better to invest in releasing more sets, a new theme ore offering us more bricks via PaB than this. But that's of course my opinion. And it might even be that these games are sold very well. But I really doubt that. Klaus-Dieter
  22. Thank you very much for your nice comment, Athos! The farmers are poor. They had no paintings to cling to the wall. So they nailed two turkey legs to the wall in oder that the wall doesn't look that empty. Klaus-Dieter
  23. Thank you very much for the pics of these new magnet sets, KielDaMan! The two OT magnet sets are great! Perhaps I'll buy one of each, too, since 20 Euros for six SW minifigs is ok. It will depend on which other (SW OT) sets I will get and how expensive these will be - so let's see. Klaus-Dieter
  24. I totally agree with you, eti! A farm house is absolutely necessary to be added to a farm and I, too, am very disappointed that TLG didn't include one in this set! You're right, M'Kyuun. The set would have become to expensive if TLG added a farmhouse to it. But they could have released one seperately - or at least one as a S@H Exclusive. So there's only hope for next year that we either get a farm house - or some/one apartment house(s) in general (which I would prefer since some apartment houses for our cities are really, really needed, too). I totally agree with you, M'Kyuun! I don't want only a farm house in addition to this year's great Farm sets - I even hope that they'll offer us some more agrarian vehicles, a garden and some other animals with their stables/cages. (E. g. TLG could well release some brick-built chickens, a cock, a cage, some forage and a farmboy.) Klaus-Dieter
  25. Hello everybody! After we had been getting great reviews of the great new Farm sets I thought that it is time to show you a farm MOC I designed about one year ago. Here you are: Farm House Somewhere in the suburban area, encirceled by a lot of meadows and acres and even some other farms there stands an old-fashioned farm house and a barn: The barn has two big gates for tractors or other big agrarian vehicles to drive in and out and one little gate for a lawn-mower. On its right side there stands an old tree. The old farm house has a main entrance in the front and a side entrance to the garden. The building consists of three floors: first floor with toilet, kitchen and farmhouse parlor, second floor with bathroom, bedroom, little office and balcony, the third floor harbors the attic: Here a closer view on the kitchen and on the farmhouse parlor: More pics can be found in this folder of my BS gallery (when public). Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
