  1. That's an absolutely amazing MOC, TheBrickster! I really it! The architecture is perfect, the interior is great and the minifig is well chosen! And I really like the story! Imo it looks much, much better than your Haunted Mill - but that's perhaps only my opinion. Perhaps one or two more minifigs would be nice to add - otherwise perfect! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  2. Has there someone (been to the US Toy Fair and) found out some news or hints about what the (supposable) Castle jubilee set will be and accordingly what it'll include? As for the argument that there has to be a troll warrior or skeletton knight in this set if this set would be a tournament I'd say no since 1. we now have the golden knight and so this golden knight might fight against the silvern knight or 2. since TLG are releasing that many new molds and torsos this year (I do not only speak about Castle but about all themes this year in general - only look at SW and Space Police) there is imo no reason why they should no release a different knight, too. Klaus-Dieter
  3. I totally agree with you, Pierre_Cochereau, since I did not say that there will surely be no motor included in this great set - but did say that I really doubt it. I mean: The price really would justify a motor. But that doesn't say anything. 110 Euros for the train with motor would be quite ok but 110 Euros only for the train would be really 30 Euros too expensive! I'm now even very sceptical about whether TLG will release a seperate passengar waggon at all since the set number 10195 is already used for SW. And imo it would have made much sense to release a seperate train car at about the same time like the train set itself so that people can in a short while add those seperate passenger waggons to the train set and so put together a whole train. So perhaps then in summer or fall - but I really don't know. With the aspect that there were many single trains released which didn't include some tracks and so did even not include any motor you're right. But think about the Classic Train set which included a motor but no tracks. So hypothetically this might be the case here, too, although - like I already mentioned - I doubt it. I firstly thought that, too, but since it's only one and half a month until this great set will be released TLG seems to have nothing against showing it here (remember that we saw a lot of pics of the awesome 10193 Medieval Market Village in the middle of October - and it was firstly released after Christmas.). No, you needn't to be stopped since you're totally right: Only red bicycles are really unrealistic (e. g. when I look around in my neighbourhood I see nearly no red bicycle, but mainly blue and black ones) and boring. At least the note at the Toy Fair which you can see on one pic says that. Klaus-Dieter
  5. I've got two questions since I can't remember having seen the green A-Wing in episode 6: So is there a difference in the style of a green and a red A-Wing (apart from the colour)? Is the green A-Wing bigger than the red one? Klaus-Dieter
  6. Thank you very much for that news, achris! New licensed themes?! Here my comment: Pro: I think that mainly with Toy Story products TLG will make a good disposal. I really liked the two Toy Story movies when I was a child and I even still like them! Contra: I'm not that sure whehter TLG does distend with producing more and more products on different licensed themes. My opinion: I personally am very sure that I won't buy these sets since there are already four different Lego themes which I collect - and this is enough (mainly for my wallet). I would much more like to see some new non-licensed themes like Western or Romans than getting more and more licensed sets. I do really not doubt that TLG will make the sets very well. But non-licensed themes open much more possibilities because you do not always have the movie in your mind when looking at, building up or playing with this sets. To put it in a nutshell: I'm not against those new licensed products but some new non-licensed themes like Western or Romans would be much better! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for posting the pics, Hinckley, and for the links, metalandi and phoinix! To the summer sets: 7639 Camper: From the outside the camper has an excellent design. But: I totally agree with you, 5150 Lego! The opening feature is really (please excuse me) stupid and totally childish! Why did TLG not add a roof which can be opened?! This set would have had such a big potential and - since it's even 6 stuck wide - could include such great interior. But no! What did TLG do with that?! Against my first thoughts when I saw the set without (not existing) interior I will not buy this set! 7642 Garage: I do really not understand why TLG did now reintroduce the car doors but does let them out in the cars in this set! But otherwise it's got an excellent design, very nice cars (I especially like the blue pick-up), a lot of accessory - and the office and its inside is ! But nevertheless I will not buy this set because I need my money for other sets. 7687 City Advent Calendar: Looks very interesting! I hope that not everything which was shown in the pictures we can see are all which is included in this set - but when you look at the box art you can see some more minifigs. The market stands look a bit simple in design but will surely make a great addition to our cities. So let's be surprised what other stuff there'll be included in this nice set. Will surely buy! 7638 Tow Truck: A bit big. But apart from that excellent design and a lot of accessory! Will surely buy! 8402 Sports Car: Regrettably TLG did not include some car doors - why?! Excellent design! The emergency phone box and the tree are a great addition! And the price of (supposable) 8 Euros is really ok for this lovely set! Will surely buy! 7641 City Corner:  The bicycle shop seems to be very empty and does not include a door. But apart from that the whole set contains an excellent design! Great minifigure constellation (bus driver, civilian, worker, a female cook and even a child)! The interior seems to be very nice, too, and not that empty than I feared (from what you can judge from the pics which regrettably don't show the back of the buildings). The bus looks excellent - great that TLG did not design it bigger than 6 stuck wide! Will surely buy! Klaus-Dieter
  8. Thank you very much to all of you who posted links and pictures of the new and awesome sets! Although I'm not interested in all that CW stuff I really must acknowledge that this exclusive Republic Gunship and AT-OT set looks absolutely ! To the sets I aim to buy: Echo Base: I already wrote what I think about it. The Battle of Endor: I totally agree with you, Jammiedodger714! Please forgive me but that exploding feature is really laughable! Either the whole base should collapse or we don't need that feature. But who cares about ... Great to see some interior in the bunker! The design and all these minifigs are totaly awesome! Home One Mon Calamari Cruiser: The price is regrettably more than I expected - supposably 120 Euros. But: The bridge contains some great interior! The design and all these minifigs are totaly awesome! I thought the same when I saw the pic of this new exclusive set, darkrebellion. There were some rumours that there'll be a "Tantive 4 UCS playset" (whatever that means - supposably something like the UCS RBR but with some minifigs and interior). I really, really hope that we'll get a (affordable) Tantive 4 with interior and minifigs this year! I mean: There's now a very big ship (the Venator) and a huge exclusive set (the Republic Gunship and At-OT) for the CW fans - so there really should be one for OT fans, too! Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thank you very much for this information, Buttons! You're right, Dr. Brick. If there is a motor inluded in this set then about 110 Euros would be ok, that's right. But since TLG is going to release a motor seperately it's unlikely that there'll be one included in the Emerald Night set. Klaus-Dieter
  10. Why are there still people who think that it is a fake after we more or less got confirmed that it is a real set?! Klaus-Dieter

    City '09?

Apart from the City summer line with Camper, Sports Car, City Corner, Garage and Tow Truck there will be the Wind Turbine Transport and the City Advent Calendar. Plus there will be the Emerald Night and some train accessory coming out in April. And perhaps there even will be a seperate passenger waggon - who knows? I think that we can't expect even more sets since these are already many and mainly totally City sets! Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you very much for that information, legomilk! Around 110 Euros?! - That's really expensive! Firstly I of course decided to buy this set. But now I don't know. I mean: 110 Euros for an engine, a tender, one passenger waggon and three minifigs - that's really a lot of money! Plus you have to think about that you have to buy the tracks, the motor, the RC and the battery extra! Then you surely have to buy 200 Euros - if not more - for one train which only has one passenger waggon! That's usury! If I'm right and it will become that expensive like mentioned above I surely won't buy this set - there even the design doesn't help! And if TLG does not release a passenger waggon seperately I won't buy it, too, independant how expensive this train is since it really would looks totally unrealistic to have a that large engine and then only one passenger waggon. So let's see and hope that we'll get a seperate aivalable passenger waggon and cheap tracks, motors, RCs and batteries! Klaus-Dieter
  13. Thank you very much for this information, paksu! This set will already be out in April?! About the price: I supposably will buy it if it's 100 Euros with motor, battery box, battery and remote control. If you have to buy these things seperately then I surely won't buy it because this would be usury to sell only the big engine, the tender, one waggon and three minifigs for 100 Euros. You'll have to pay tracks for it extra anyway which would make about 150 Euros for the train and tracks to create a circle - and that's imo really enough money! So let's see. One thing: I really hope that TLG will then release a seperate set with a single waggon this year, too, since it would look really to have a train with that huge engine and tender and then only one waggon behind it! My comment wasn't meant to be a criticism, Sebastian. Klaus-Dieter
  14. Thank you very much for that pic, Sebastian! That set (or MOC) really looks ! I really like the big engine with the tender and the waggon looks really well designed, too! The only thing I miss is a second waggon and some more minifigs (three minifigs are very less )! I personally think that this picture is no fake: 1. the box art is to professional to be a fake 2. there are some bricks which aren't available until now: the big and little tan window frames, the green round pieces for the boiler and the big wheels. 3. it looks very appealing to AFOLs - exactly that which was promised before Anyway we'll surely will soon know if this set is real or only a fake because some members of TLG will surely remember this pic in the next days. And if it's right - which I bet - than either the pic gets removed or we get some more information about this set. If we don't hear anything in the next weeks then it's supposably a fake. But imagine that if it's not a fake (what I think) but we see a pic already now means that it would be released in the next months! If it's real then I surely will buy it (although it surely will be very expensive)! Klaus-Dieter
  15. Thank you very much for the link to the pics, vulture! In this point I regrettably have to disagree with you, KimT! Imo this forum is to write about what you like about new Lego sets - but even what you don't like. It would be unnatural if everybody likes everything. I totally have to agree with you, darkrebellion! This MF is indeed designed perfectly, that can't be doubt! But it's really a shame that TLG does not release a MF similar to the ones of 1999 and 2004! This set really does not fit in the line of all the other great OT sets this year and is imo totally needless! I really don't know what TLG aims to achieve with that set! (Because of this I surely will not buy it - I already deleted it of my wishlist.) Klaus-Dieter

Did I miss something there? A car transporter? You mean the Helicopter Transporter of which we actually have got pics, don't you? Do you mean in the City theme or in the Creator theme since I haven't heard something about a car transporter in the City theme this year yet? Btw: I forgot to mention that it's nice to see that we'll be getting a new female torso in the camper set! And: When you look very closely at the newest pic of the City Corner you can see that there are six seats in the bus: on the right side the driver's seat and three seats behind it and on the left side two seats behind the retral door - so enough seats to sit. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the link, darthperson! The sports car, the camper and mainly the City Corner are looking totally awesome! And the garage and the tow truck are quite nice, too! I hope that TLG won't change the indegridants of the City Corner set since the pic in the link shows that there then would be two skateboards and two bicycles (in each case the second one in the bicycle shop)! I can't wait for the US Toy Fair where hopefully someone will take some pics of the interiors of the camper, the bicycle shop and the pizzeria! Klaus-Dieter
  18. That's a great and very interesting topic, JimButcher! My favourite theme is CITY. I grew up with some little City sets in my childhood (which I always destroyed shortly after having built them up in order to create my own models ) and since about 2001 began to collect Town and City sets. Why I didn't vote for Town?! Before 2007 I would surely have voted for Town since there were only these "common" City sets like always only construction, police, fire and a bit emergency. But since 2007 TLG is really, really doing very well with a lot of awesome (civilian) sets within the City theme - and so the City theme gets better and better from year to year (at least until now - and I hope that this won't stop!). It was very hard for me to decied for which option to vote since I like three other Lego themes really much, too, and where I collected a lot of sets in the last years, too: Castle (only the classic sets and "retro"-classic sets) Western (regrettably not continuing theme until now ) Star Wars (only OT collecting) Klaus-Dieter
  19. Since we even don't have got pics of the box art yet I'd guess that these heads are preliminary - but of course you might be even right and they are the final mold. Klaus-Dieter
  20. Thank you very much for that news and the pics, darthdarren! That's exactly what I wanted to say, too, Deinonychus! This set is simply perfect! Firsly I feared that we'll get only a very disappointing set, with an A-Wing pilot, General Ackbar, a mechanic, some other minifigs and a very "cheap" scenery, And I was really disappointed since we won't get the whole ship. But, hey, the first aspect is totally destroyed since we get five new minifigs - General Ackbar, General Crix Madine, another Mon Calamari minifig, Lando Calrissian (new style) and even Mon Mothma - an A-Wing Pilot, a very well designed A-Wing (apart from that it's a big too big ) and a perfect scenery with a lot of details ! It seems as if TLG gave us all elements we wanted to get! The second aspect is not yet gotten over since I still hope that we'll get a Home One as a whole ship somewhere in the future. But to tell the truth I do not think that TLG will release a Home One as a whole ship with interior and minifigs (like the awesome minifig-scaled DS in 2006) anywhere. But nevertheless that's not that bad since the main thing is that we've got now the control room, General Ackbar, Madine and Mon Mothma! Only one word: Awesome! I hope that TLG will continue next year with releasing that perfect and many new minifigs including OT sets! I, too, wonder about what function this mysterious black stick does have. This set includes more scenery than the Endor set but less minifigs. So I'd think that it'll be about the same price like the Endor set (100 Euros), perhaps a bit more, but surely not more than 120 Euros. Klaus-Dieter

    City '09?

Thank you very much for these pics, Etzel and Steff! The magnet set is quite ok and even really nice but - since we already have these great Imulse sets - imo unneccessary. I'm really surprised that some of the summer City sets are already produced and are sold (even if they are only sold to the employees (Btw: I did not know that TLG's employees can get the sets in a seperate shop.)) that early! If I'm not wrong then you can see a house nummer on the right side of the entrance of the pizzeria, some tumblers through the windows on the second floor and some little interior in the bicycle shop (which I regrettably can not discover) and the minifig which waits has even a suitcase - that's really nice! I can't wait for the US Toy Fair when we hopefully will see some interior pics of the pizzeria, the bicycle shop and the camper! Klaus-Dieter
  22. That's an absolutely amazing MOC, Rook! Although I must say that I really don't like all that CW series and movies I must say that I like the most of the Lego sets based on them. And I really like big vehicles. I your MOC! It's so detailed and looks so realistic! And with all the accessory and minifigs you added to it it's simply perfect! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  23. These are absolutely awesome MOCs, FONIX! I really the "Ishavskatedralen" and the "Verdensteatret" - they are simply perfect! The interiors and exteriors of those buildings look totally realistic! Plus you added such great interiors into those two buildings! You seem to be a genius! Excellent work! Klaus-Dieter
  24. That's a very nice Ghost Town MOC, TheBrickster! I really like it! The "hoist" (I regrettably don't know the name) looks great and the architecture looks very realistic, too. The only thing I miss a bit is with which power the mill should be run since I see no water wheel and even no wind wheels. Besides I could imagine that some more foliage plants and some more minifigs would make your MOC looking a bit more lively. But otherwise it's a very nice MOC! Do you have some pics of its interior, too? That would be interesting to see. Very well done! Btw: Does the skeletton cowboy have a heated outhouse? Klaus-Dieter
  25. Thank you very much for your nice comments, CommanderCody77 and TheBrickster! Thanks, CommanderCody77! Yes, you're perhaps right: Some more skelettons wouldn't be bad. But more than that I'd like to have a ghost included in this MOC - but regrettably LDD doesn't offer one. Thanks, TheBrickster! Nice to read that you like it. Oh, I thought that it would look more realistic when there is a little roof piece above the entrance of the chapel. But I must acknowledge that I built it how I wanted to and did not look at some pics of real WW chapels while building it. I indeed first thought about making the tree bigger and adding more owls to it. But when the tree should go in every direction it would no have any place in this my MOC. But you're right: It looks a bit . Perhaps it would look better if I take away the foliage parts of the branch, what do you think? But since I now designed the tree in this style it is in the moment you can't add much owls to it. The next time when I'll build a Ghost Town MOC with LDD I'll try to design a better tree - promised. Klaus-Dieter
