That's again an absolutely amazing MOC, TheBrickster! I really it! Next to your brilliant Shady Inn this is imo your best Grave Stone MOC ever! The design is absolutely perfect, the minifigs fit very well and there is a lot of nice accessory and two horses! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter

That's again a totally awesome Castle MOC, DNL! I really it! It's absolutely perfect designed and looks very realistic! The most I like all the tumber framing buildings - they look very lovely (especially the brown-tan one with the black roof)! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter

Hello everybody! After having shown you My Legoredo some months ago I now want to show you my Indian Village. About two weeks before Christmas I received my last missing Indian set - Boulder Cliff Canyon - from Ebay (of course used since this is not that expensive!). So here you are: my Indian Village: ________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ Hello, I'm Klaus-Dieter and I want to show you my Legoredo. So - if you want to - let's make a trip throught this lovely Indian country! Let's start with a short view over my Indian Village: Not everybody can enter this Indian village: But there is even a secret entrance: Two Indians with canoes are leaving for fishing: An Indian is with his kayak on his way to the village. Will he bring some good news? An Indian was injured by a snake: So the medicine man calls the gods for help: Whereas some Indians leave for a fight against an other tribe an Indian woman is cooking and some Indian kids are playing. Where is the tribal chief? He is on a trip through the country: ________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ Commets are welcome! I regrettably have to disagree with you, giorgio! It's right that this City set wasn't shown at the US Toy Fair. But think about that there'll be some exclusive sets this year about which we know until some time (and perhaps even some sets about which we don't know until now) which weren't shown on this toy fair. I could well imagine the 7747 Wind Turbine Transport being a set similar to the CG Platform last year. This CG Platform was a "half-exclusive" set and the picture about this set did firstly appear in May or June. Plus this set is listed at Kiddiwinks - so it's very unsupposably that this set won't appear. Klaus-Dieter

Again thank you all very much for your many votes and comments! I opened the topic to vote for your favourite Indian set here. It would be very nice to see so many people voting and commenting on this topic, too. Klaus-Dieter

That's again an amazing MOC, TheBrickster! I really it! I really like the colors (brown-black-yellow) and the classic style of this stable - it looks absolutely realistic! It's really a great idea to have even a farm in- or outside your ghost town! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for that links on that little Farm promo set, legomilk and brick77! That's really a set! It's really a shame that TLG is often releasing that beautiful little sets as promos which many people (me included) are then not aible to get! But I think that this is more a stand-alone set since next to the new giant tractors it would look very small. There'll actually be a set with a transport vehicle and a wind turbine - 7747 Wind Turbine Transport . But we haven't got pics until now (and regrettably we surely even have to wait until May or June to see some ). Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for that great review, The Cobra! I voted for Average since it's a very nice little set. Positive is that it comes with four minifigs. Negative is the absence of a little scenery. Klaus-Dieter

Yesterday I was at the carnival parade in my hometown. And there was a carriage with a tipi and some Indians dancing around it and a lot of little kids were cowboy hats (and some even a whole cowboy outfit although it was snowing all the time ). So TLG can really not claim that kids aren’t interested in Wild West! Klaus-Dieter

I totally have to agree with pr0visorak! This is an absolutely awesome Western minifig art, Apache! I really it! It looks very realistic and great designed! I, too, would if TLG one day releases a new Indian theme really like to see that kind of (to the old theme) different Indians which even have some guns and not only their native weappons (although these are of course great, too)! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter

Hrothingas Castle - Castle Evolution - Stage 1
Klaus-Dieter replied to DNL's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That's an absolutely amazing Castle MOC, DNL! I really it! The castle is designed that perfectly! And all those details, the minifigs, that many plants and the great landscape add an absolutly realistic, calm and lovely atmosphere to it! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter -
That's an absolutely awesome MOC, Kaitan! I really it! It's designed that much accurate and in a such realistic style! And the scenes you shooted with your camera are excellently done! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter

That's an absolutely awesome MOC, 5150 Lego! I really like it! It looks with all that great and accurate interior very realistic! And it looks much better than the official Lego version of it! I especially like the sliding out working station. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter

Again thank you all very much for your many votes and comments! I partly agree with you, Richie. I, too, fear that if TLG releases a new WW theme they will take the old sets as model and only change some little things but then release the new sets (like the new Pirates sets (apart from the big pirate ship which is excellent)) with much less minifigs, much less accessory and only a very cheap architecture with very little buildings. And that would be really a shame since this would - at least for these under us who already own a lot of the old sets - absolutely bad! But like you can see in with all the amazing new sets in the City theme which are some sort of re-designs of the classic Town sets, some new re-designed sets can be either be flop or top. Klaus-Dieter

That's a very nice MOC, Nimirdil! I really like it! It looks very realistic and - mainly with the fishing boat and the river and the plants - very calm and lovely! Very well done! Btw: Welcome to EB, Nimirdil! Klaus-Dieter
-
That's an absolutely amazing MOC, M_longer! I really it! Although I'd prefer it to be not that huge it looks absolutely realistic! I really hope TLG will release somthing similar to that in a whole City Winter subtheme! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter

That's a great (and regrettably even not unrealistic) story with a great layout, simonwillems! I really like this scene! The waterthrower looks very well designed! It's really a pity TLG does not release some riot and SWAT sets! The many policemen and police vehicle and the many protestors make your layout looking really realistic! I originally wanted to create something similar to that, too - but time is always that short. Well, let's see. Perhaps I've got time in the end of my semester holidays and then I'll create some kind of a SWAT attack. Very well done! Btw: I have a lot of batons, too, but regrettably no shields. How did you design your police shields for your riot policemen? Klaus-Dieter

There's nothing you have to be sorry about since you could not have known that I'll plan to make a topic similar to this one for Indian sets, too. I personally think that it makes sense to make a difference between the "Western" sets and the Indians sets. Of course Indians belong to the Wild West as much as cowboys belong to the Wild West - that's absolutely right. But I wanted to create two different polls since it is always said that the Indian sets (which were released one year after the most of the Western sets) didn't sell very well - and that this was very supposably the reason for why TLG regrettably stopped releasing Western sets (here meant as Western and Indian sets). I totally agree with you, ditto! Which makes a theme a really brilliant theme is a mixture of sets of different sizes: The really big sets (which include a lot of playability, awesome vehicles and great architectual buildings), the medium sized sets (which include a lot of playability, too, but perhaps not that many buildings and vehicles) and the small sets and Impulse sets (which include a lot of minifigs for adding more life to your layout, for collecting many minifigs, for buildings whole armies and simply for having some cheap sets). Klaus-Dieter
-
That's again a brilliant MOC, TheBrickster! I really it! The lovely cart with its many accessories and the great minifig give your MOC a very realistis look! It could well be an official Western Impulse set - then I immediately would buy it! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for your many votes and comments so far! I didn't anticipate such a big interest in Western! Please be patient, Shoc, I already decided to make a topic with your "Favourite Indian set?" - but I wanted to have Western and Indians in two seperate topics. Thank you very much, TheBrickster! I totally agree with you, KimT! There were so many action elements included in these great Western sets that I really didn't - and still don't - understand why TLG didn't continue this theme since AFOLs as well as JFOLs surely like(d) these awesome sets! But - like you mentioned with a lot kids looking very excited at those lovely sets - kids really like everything which has to do with Cowboys and Indians. Perhaps Western is even more in demand at JFOLs than Pirates - or at least like Pirates. So I really, really don't understand why TLG seems not to plan to release a new Western theme since they are always saying that JFOLs are their main audience (which does really not mean that AFOLs would not like a new Western theme - in contrary: with this poll you can see that they really would! ). I totally agree with you, BlueBard! Gold City Junction is my favourite Western set, too, although I must say that I really, really all Western sets! It really includes that much playability, minifigs, horses, great buildings (apart from that they are regrettably all only one floor big) and accessory! I think that re-releasing the old sets doesn't make much sense, Justin - like you saw with the re-releases in 2002. Reasons: 1. The most Western-interested AFOLs already have the old sets and so don't need the same sets again. 2. The market on Ebay is too big so that parents prefer to buy the old versions used instead of buying only re-released old versions in toy shops. But imo the solution for JFOLs to get introduced in this great theme and for AFOLs wanting to get some new sets, too, is to release some new sets which contain many elements of the older versions (e. g. a Sheriff's office and a bank would be a must mainly from a JFOL's point of view who doesn't own the old sets) but even some new elements (e. g. a saloon mainly for AFOLs which already own the old sets and so want to get some new and additional elements). Plus threre are elements which were unluckily missed by TLG in the old theme and which surely would be in high demand at AFOLs as well as at JFOLs: e. g. a stage coach and a Western train with train station. Plus - with TLG's fantasy area taking place in the new "Castle" theme - there are many possibilities for a Ghost Town subtheme. Mainly for somebody who doesn't own any Western sets yet - or only very few - a set similar to Gold City Junction would be a perfect set to get introduced in this brilliant theme! Klaus-Dieter

These are two absolutely amazing Western MOCs, TheBrickster! I really, really them! For me these are the two best Ghost Town MOCs you ever created! I don't know why I think so. Perhaps it's because they're looking absoluetly realistic, perhaps because they are the two MOCs which look the closest to official Lego Western sets of the past or perhaps because I'd so much like to see TLG releasing a saloon/hotel/inn for the Western theme. I even couldn't vote for which of them I like more. They're both absolutely awesome! Perhaps I'd prefer version one - but I'm really not sure. The architecture is absolutely fitting, the railings and colums, too! The windows with the balks in front of them, the special green color and the skelettons add to it a realy shady and spooky charisma. :skull: Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter

Exclusive Train 10194 Emerald Night (Exclusive 2009)
Klaus-Dieter replied to der seb's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I totally agree with you, Zorbas! Perhaps it's even not a birth control in TLG but the embittered pizzas they're selling in the brilliant pizzeria in the awesome City Corner set. I totally agree with you, simonwillems! It's not that bad that they're only fitting four minifigs in the train since 1. with the cupboard and the tables it looks much more lovely and 2. there is anyway only one passenger included in this set - so for what a huge mass of seats?! Hello everybody! With TheBrickster showing us some of his excellent Ghost Town MOCs of his Grave Stone collection and so gladly bringing back a bit feeling of the Wild West to this forum I thought it would be time to ask around which your favourite Western set is/was. Here are the choices: 6762/6769 Fort Legoredo 6765 Gold City Junction 6761 Bandit's Secret Hideout 6755/6764 Sheriff's Lock-Up 6716 Weapons Wagon 6712 Sheriff's Showdown 6799 Showdown Canyon 6706 Frontier Patrol 6790/6791 Bandit's Wheelgun So please vote! Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter

I totally agree with you, Darth_Legois! I'd really like to have more busses and bus stations than only one, too. So I hope that TLG will release a little set which only would include a bus, a bus station and three minifigs. But at the moment I regrettably don't see that happen (since if so people which only want the bus wouldn't my the awesome City Corner set). Klaus-Dieter
