  1. That's a very nice MOC, sigmeister! I really like the classic style of the boat! Very well done! Btw: Welcome to EB, sigmeister! Klaus-Dieter
  2. That's an absolutely awesome Indian MOC, Athos! I really it! The architecture looks absolutely realistic so do the landscape and the accessory! Great colors and a very nice choice of minifigs, too. I have no suggestions for improvement since it is already simply perfect! The most I like the dwallings and the little field on the left side. Do the dwallings include some interior, too? That would be nice to see. Btw: I haven't thought about this direction for a new Indian theme before. But it's right: Indians did not only live in tipis since they travel around all the time - there were even Indians which built dwallings and then stayed at this place. Great idea, Athos! Well, if TLG hopefully releases a new Western/Indian theme in the future they might well go in this direction considering the Indian fraction! I'd personally like this direction very much since it would offer a completely different Indian tribe with completely different dwallings in comparison to the theme from 1997. Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  3. So you think that the little PF motor fits in the wind turbine, Lord Santos? I think you're right. The only problem would be where to hide the cable in the "tower" of the turbine? And where to put the battery box and the switcher? I fear that it isn't constructed for that. Klaus-Dieter
  4. That's a great and very interesting topic, TheBrickster! Supposably you know my answer already anyway: The Farm theme is not only a subtheme of City but goes of course with the Western theme (and with the Castle theme and other (possible) themes), too. After the beginning of the sedlessness of human there was agriculture and there were buildings which you could more or less count to a farm. So you could even say that the Farm theme belongs to Stone Age, Greeks, Romans, Middle Age (= Castle theme), early modern age, the discovery of the new world (= Pirates theme), industrial revolution and time of the American Civil War (= Western theme) over imperialism, the 20th century until now. (Sorry, people, but I study history! ) It's clear that you can't use the City Farm sets for Western, Castle or what ever theme TLG might release. But there could be farm sets which are in the respective style and include the respective accessory and minifigs that they go with this theme. I really hope that if TLG one day hopefully will release some new Western sets that they will offer us a Western farm set with this typical wind wheel, a barn, some cows or horses, a little field, a farmhouse and the farmer with his family - that would be absoluetly awesome! :oh: Klaus-Dieter
  5. That's a great and very interesting topic, TheBrickster! Some days I built this greenhouse with LDD. Here in South Germany it's spring since about one and a half week and it's very warm and green. But I do not know that this atmosphere inspired this my MOC. Of course it's very seldom that you build somethings Christmas related in summer or a beach bar in winter. But nevertheless I do not think that seasons in general influence what I build. I more think that you do that unwittingly: When it's spring you see all the flowers, all the green outside, ... and then you unintentionally build something which has to do with spring, flowers, .... Klaus-Dieter
  6. Hello everybody! Since it's now spring here's my LDD creation I designed some days ago: Greenhouse Pieces: 154 Price: 32,61(Germany) It’s spring, the flowers are blooming and the plants begin to grow. So it’s time for you to water the flowers inside your greenhouse and to look after the plants and sunflowers outside. This set includes a green house with too flowerbeds, some plants and a bed with some big sun flowers outside, a female gardener, a lot of plants and some accessory. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  7. That's a totally awesome Western MOC, SirNadroj! I really it! Its architecture looks very realistic and the details are stunning! The choice of minifigs fits very well, too. Only one suggestion: I'd interchange the lime green bricks with some bricks of other color - equally which color but imo this lime green doesn't fit. Otherwise it's perfect! The most I like the bar downstairs and the white-black chairs upstairs. Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  8. Thank you very much for your nice comment, MarcusV3! I totally agree with you! More civilian buildings in the style of the awesome 7641 City Life and the brilliant 10164 Town Plan are an absolute must and I really hope that TLG will continue this direction and offer a lot of shops, public buildings, a bank, a post office, some parks, more public transportation vehicles etc. in the next years! And I totally agree with you, too, on the subject that there shall be more female minifigs and children (boys and girls) included in City sets! Klaus-Dieter

    City '09?

Thank you very much for this information, legomilk! Around 50 Euros for 7747 and around 50 Euros for 7641 is a really good price ratio performance! And that they'll be already out for sale in June is great! (Supposably they then will firstly be in the regular toy shops in August - but even better than September!) I can't await to get these two awesome sets plus the lovely Sports Car and the nice Tow Truck (and the SW OT sets)! Since they are already expected in June so there's perhaps even a little chance that there'll be an exclusive City set in fall of which we don't know yet - or at least I hope so! But it might even be that TLG keeps this fall empty with City sets in order because of many new sets of other themes (Space Police, secpnd wave of Power Miners and Castle. Well, let's see. Klaus-Dieter
  10. Yes, that's now much better, prateek - great! Klaus-Dieter
  11. Concerning the very supposable Castle "jubilee" set: Do you think that we'll get more some sort of re-release of a classic Castle set (like e. g. this brilliant castle from 1995), a new Castle in more or less classic design, a set which can be added to the awesome MVV or a Castle set that fits in the fantasy line? Klaus-Dieter
  12. That's an amazing Western MOC, Antoi! I really it! It's much better then mine. I really like this fine, in official style kept architecture plus the cactus fits very well! If you add some stickers, some minifigs and accessory this will surely become an awesome MOC, Antoi! Only one suggestion: The blue window frames in the first floor don't go that well with the white door. So I'd interchange the windows with the blue window frames with the windows with the white window frames downstairs in order that in the end you'll have windows with white window frames and the white door upstairs. I can't await to see your final MOC! Very, very well done so far! Klaus-Dieter
  13. Btw: I found a picture of the rear side of 7747 on BS: Many thanks to the photo shooter! I hope that we'll get a review soon, won't we?! The only two things I already mentioned which I don't like is that firstly the wind power plant is much smaller than the most of us (me included) hoped and that the wings of the wind power plant nearly contac the ground. But when you compare the size of the wind power plant to the size of the vehicles on the rear side of 7747 you can see that the wind power plant is supposably not that small than we feared. We'll get an escort vehicle with that flashlights at the back, the transport truck comes with some wind power plant stickers on its side, the backmost part of the transport truck can be drawn in and out it's now clear that both vehicles will contain car doors. Isn't that absolutely amazing?! :oh: Klaus-Dieter
  14. That's a great City MOC, prateek! I really like it! The colors (white-red) are a good choice, the car looks really nice and the tables with the sun umbrellas, the fences and the minifigs are very good chosen, too. Only two suggestions: Why don't you use the white car wings as upper parts above the wheels? Perhaps it'd look better to design the pizzeria not in a pattern of white-red stripes since this looks imo a bit corny. Otherwise it's great. The most I like the big oven - it looks very realistic! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  15. Thank you very much for your nice comment, prateek! Yes, since I think it doesn't make sense to let only empty space to the attic and I even was disappointed when I saw that the attic in the awesome 7641 City Life set doesn't contain anything, I decided to add some interior to the second floor. Klaus-Dieter

    City '09?

Thank you very much for the price information on the Garage set, legomilk! 90 Euros is imo not very cheap for this set. Of course it contains two big trucks, one pickup and a lot of accesory and playability. But there's nearly no building, no car doors (Why?! ) and only four minifigs. So I wouldn't say that it is overpriced - but a bit expensive. It may be as it is - I don't care about the price since I won't buy it - equally from how high the price is. Btw: So could we perhaps get the price of one of the two best City sets this year - the awesome 7641 City Life (the second best City set this year (after what we know until now) is imo the brilliant 7747 Wind Turbine Transport), too, please? Klaus-Dieter
  17. That's a very interesting topic, Peppermint M! I must honestly say that I don't know in which world of Lego themes I wanted to live when I was a child - supposably City. When I was an older child I mainly wanted to live in the Castle theme. My sigfig lives in the Western/Indians theme. I without doubts prefer to live in the City theme - although the (Classic) Castle theme, the Western/Indians theme and the Star Wars theme are of course great, too. But when you know a bit about reality and history and even about how the future will supposably look like then it's logical that you prefer to live here and now - so in the City theme. Klaus-Dieter
  18. Thank you very much for your nice comments, Asuka, Athos, Richie and Antoi! Thanks, Asuka! You're right about the size. But my aim was to design it very near the official style of the awesome Western sets of the years 1996/97. Several years ago I built a saloon together with my younger brother which was much bigger. It's a shame that I don't have got pictures of it. Thanks, Steve! You're supposably right about the colors - I didn't care about colors that much when I built it. It's nice to hear that you like the trap. Not that it makes any sense but I simply wanted to add an action element since it should look similar to the official Lego WW sets. The idea of adding a rim around the roof is great - thanks. Thanks, Richie! Thanks, Antoi! Do you mean with roof-topping some sort of thin bricks with a sticker on it on which "Saloon" is printed? If so, I intentionally didn't put it on the roof upstairs but under the windows of the second floor in order to that possible guests can see it earlier and then immediately go there to have a drink. I'm very interested in how your saloon will look like. When do you plan to show it to us, Antoi? Klaus-Dieter
  19. That's indeed a good idea, Er!k! But I don't like it to change official sets as well as I don't like to combine MOCs with official sets. I really like to build own creations, too, but imo they shouldn't be add to official sets - but that's of course only my opinion. Klaus-Dieter
  20. Hello everybody! Since TLG added a lot of new bricks to PaB (and so even to LDD) I tried to design a bakery in LDD some days ago. Here is the result: Bakery Pieces: 161 Price: 35,39 Euros (Germany) It's in the morning and you want to have some rolls for breakfast. So you go to the little bakery in your street. The saleswoman sells not only rolls, croissants, bread, cakes and other pasta but even drinks and other food. Oh, the postman is coming, too, and delivers the mail! This set includes a house with a bakery downstairs and a litte room with writing table and bed upstairs, a saleswoman, a postman, a little girl, a trolley for the postman and a lot of accessory. Like the pizzeria in the new awesome 7641 City Life set, this bakery can be devided into two parts in order for better playing inside, too: More pics can be found in this folder (when public) of my BS gallery. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  21. That's a great MOC, benlego! I really it because of its peaceful and lovely atmosphere! The most I like the hedge with the white flowers and the tan fence with the flower boxes. Only one suggestion: I'd replace the window in the shed with a regular window since it does imo not fit that well. Otherwise it's great! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  22. That's a great project and suerly even begin of a great MOC, ACCURATEin! I really like it since it has that Paradisa design and feeling! Very well done! Btw: Do you plan to add some interior and an elevator made out of glas, too? That would be a very nice addition. Klaus-Dieter
  23. Thanks for showing us this great find, Matn! These are really awesome Wild West MOCs! I really them! The only thing I don't like is the stagecoach: - I don't like the color - red would fit much better - it looks too much brick-built Otherwise these MOCs are perfect: + the houses are designed absolutely realsitic + the interiors are amazingly detailed + the combination of different buildings is great: already existing and important buildings (like sheriff's office, bank and general store) and totally new (meaning never by TLG in minifig scale released) buildings (like depot and saloon) Very, very well done! These combination of buildings plus the stage coach would be the perfect set (of course not with that big and highly detailed buildings) for TLG to get people interested in a new Wild West theme or in Western in general and would offer those "old" WW fans under us some of these buildings for which we have been waiting for more than ten years now! I really hope that TLG will release a set similar to these awesome MOCs in the near future, too! Klaus-Dieter
  24. Thank you very much for your nice comments, Razzer and TheBrickster! Thanks, Razzer! It was my aim to built a saloon which could fit in the official line of Western buildings. Thanks, TheBrickster! The water pump is regrettably not my idea. I "stole" it from BirckMiner's awesome MOC you can find here. (I would have asked him - but about one year ago after he leaved EB I sent him a PM but he didn't answer - so I didn't try now.) How do you like the bar? Klaus-Dieter
