That's not bad, Gouns! My English is always surely not that good. It's a pity that you didn't find out something about this. Well, you can't do more than to try. Klaus-Dieter
  2. Hello everybody! After a long time of waiting until I was aible to build a Wild West saloon now here it is: Western Saloon You're on a trip through the desert. It's hot and dry and you're really thirsty. Finally you see the buildings of Legoredo, the Lego Western town. Immediately you go to the Western Saloon where you have a cool drink and a bed to relax from the long trip. But be careful - a bandit enters the saloon and forces the barkeeper to hand him all the money. Will you be aible to catch the bandit before he escapes with his fast horse into the desert? This set comes with a saloon with two floors: The first floor includes a bar with two seats and a table to sit, the second floor includes a guest room with bed and a commode. Apart from that there is a horse, a barkeeper, a cowboy, a bandit and a female Western civilian and a lot of accessory included - plus a trap in the roof. The inside: The trap: View on my MOC without minifigs: Many more pics can be found in this folder (when public) of my BS gallery. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  3. That's a great and very interesting topic, TheBrickster! For me modular Town buidlings do not go with classic Town/City buildings since they are much too detailed in comparison to the regular Town/City buildings and because they are much bigger than them. I do not buy any modular Town buildings but bought, buy and will buy many of the (at least civilian) Town/City buildings. The modular Town buidlings really look awesome (at least from the outside) - that can't be denied. But I don't like them because of four reasons: 1. They are much too expensive. 2. They need too much space. 3. Since they are so detailed they don't go with the regular City buildings since they are less detailes. 4. They have backwalls. For me open backwalls are a quality criterion of a City/Town. Although I play only very seldom with my Lego sets I really like it too look at the exterior but even into the interior of my buildings. And when you build up a huge City layout it's much nicer to be aible to look into the interiors of the buidlings without having to put away the roofs (which has nothing to do with laziness ). TLG has done a really great job with releasing buildings in the City and the Castle theme - namely the awesome 10184 Town Plan  and the brilliant 10193 Medieval Market Street  - which are a compromise between the regular City sets and the modular Town buildings. They offer a lot of awesome details for those which like it too be a bit more detailed than the regular sets but they even offer a lot of playability for those who simply want to play with these sets. For me these amazing compromises between regular and modular sets are the best sets ever and I hope that TLG will offer more of them to us in the future, too! Klaus-Dieter
  4. Thank you very much for posting this statement, Matija! It's right that the bricks are now not at the same price like last year. But it's way better than it was yesterday (where you e. g. had to pay for a child pant more than for a normal pant ). So I hope that TLG will keep this prices for some weeks since I wanted to order some (mainly minifig) parts after Easter - but with the prices of the last days this would have been impossible. So you didn't find out something about a rumoured marriage-go-round set, Gouns? I already thought about that, too, Pierre_Cochereau! But emilec wrote that a shop employee said that there'll be a marry-go-round set along the line of Town Plan - so no Creator set (supposably because of a misunderstanding - so very supposably there'll be not such a set - very regrettably). It would btw make no sense to release a Creator marriage-go-round set as an exclusive set since there surely wouldn't be less people when it would be sold only via S@H, the Lego Stores and perhaps some other special shops since Creator sets are mainly there for JFOLs. City '09?

Gouns, you wrote that you'll be going to the Lego Store in Cologne this Monday. So I wanted to ask you if you found out something about whehter there's something the rumours of a marriage-go-round set. Did you find out something? Btw: The "top secret information" which shall be posted in the next Lego Club magazine is surely some information on the new Space sets but surely not on a possible exclusive City set (which I highly doubt anyway). Klaus-Dieter
  7. Why do you that it'll be overprized?! Do you already know its price? When I look at kiddiwinks I can read that it'll be - translated into Euros - about around 50-60 Euros. That's imo not cheap - but surely even not overpriced. Thanks, prateek! I revamped it - don't now how that could happen since I nearly always read through my comments before or at last after posting them. Btw: I looked at the pic of the poster in my Lego Club magazine and it's right: There is an Octan sticker on it -so it's very supposably that this awesome set will include an Octan sticker on the turbine, too. Klaus-Dieter
  8. I hope that if TLG very supposably releases a Greek/Spartan theme with good humans vs. bad fantasy creatures that they then will at least release some Impulse sets with Greek/Spartan soldiers for those history interested people (like me) which don't like that fantasy stuff. Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thanks, just2good! I'd prefer a minifig-scaled version of a Roman villa as an official set - but I regrettably fear that TLG will never release one Roman villa and/or a Roman village (even not only a part of a Roman villa and /or village). Thanks, Batbrick! I indeed wanted to add more little details. But I didn't know how to design them out of the exsiting Lego bricks since less than minifig-scale is always very hard to build. Thanks, Oken! And btw: Welcome to EB! Klaus-Dieter
  10. Thank you very much for the verification, legomilk! I think it'll depend on whether it'll include a PF motor or not. But I highly doubt that it'll include a PF motor since there is supposably not enough space insside the wind power plant for a wire which links the motor with a seperate sold battery box or rechargeable batttery. I think that with PF motor it would be maximum 70 Euros - without PF motor maximum 60 Euros. These price guesses seem to be very high - but remark that this set firstly is not a regular set but a set which you will only be aible to find in special toy shops, secondly it includes something very special and outstanding (the wind power plant) and thirdly there are two very lovely and awesome detailed cars included in this set. This means firstly many parts and secondly a lot of money to pay. But one thing is clear: I will of course buy this brilliant set! Klaus-Dieter

I totally agree with you, barry! I would not only say that 2009 is the best year after a long time concerning City - I'd even say that 2009 is the best year for Lego City ever (until now - we don't know which awesome or not awesome sets we've to await in 2010 and later! )! TLG has really done a great job with (nearly) all the City sets of Lego Farm (this spring) and Lego Town (this summer) and I really hope that this glorious development will continue for the next years! Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thanks for clarifying that, Pierre_Cochereau! Sorry, I understood you wrong - but now I know what you mean. Hopefully it's like you're saying that TLG won't let itself influence on the result of this poll whether we'll get more civilian buildings and stuff in the future or not. But one thing is clear: If choice 1 wins we won't see a big and exclusvie set with civilian buildings. So hopefully TLG then will release some more civilian buildings as regular sets next year, too! I totally agree with you, Pierre_Cochereau! I already thought about this, too. And I think that using the regular RC tracks with some leveld plates on it is the most plausible (and surely even the cheapest) solution we can expect. Although the tram looks on the pic imo more attractive than the elevated train I'd prefer an elevated train since I wouldn't know where to put the tram tracks since the road plates are that little anyway - and two road plates in parallel would make it absolutely impossible to build a layout which could be built up all the time (since it would need too much space). Klaus-Dieter
  13. That's a great idea for a new topic, Darth Legolas! My choice is very clear: Wild West  But which I surely wouldn't like to see would be only re-releases of the old sets or new sets which don't include something new! A saloon, a stage coach and a Western steam train would be a must if TLG releases some new Western sets! I totally agree with you, Clone O'Patra! If TLG thinks that a new Western theme wouldn't sell well (which I highly doubt) they could at least release two big exclusive Western sets around 100-150 Euros in the composition similar to the awesome sets 10184 and 10193: one should include a saloon, a post office, a bank and a stage coach, the other should include a Western steam train, a train station and a little chariot. And there's even the possibility to release a Ghost Town theme in which JFOLs would surely be interested since it would include fantasy creatures (ghosts, skelettons and ghost cowboys) with the fantasy creatures vs. cowboys and sheriff topic which kids seem to like that much. Klaus-Dieter
  14. Thank you very much for this pic, Kanal-K1! This set is absolutely  ! - The only thing I don't like that much is that the wind power plant seems to be very small (only about 20 stucks high - and the "wings" seem to contact nearly the ground). + Apart from that it's simply wonderful: a great transport vehicle (with doors!), an awesome designed little vehicle (with doors!), a very nice wind power plant and a lot of great accessory (is the yellow "thing" the turbine?)! :oh: Great job, TLG! More awesome designed sets on! More special sets on! More environmental sets on! Perhaps I even see wrong but I think that when you augment the picture you can see this round emblem be decided up in three parts - that could be a emblem of a wind power plant. Besides an Octan emblem wouldn't make sense since Octan stands for fuel and oil. Does anyone know or can anyone think about whether the wind turbine includes a PF motor on top? Fact is that there surely won't be place for a battery box inside the wind power plant since it seems to have only a radius of four stucks. Klaus-Dieter
  15. It's not that I don't want that public transportation center. In contrary: Some weeks ago I posted in the Embassy subforum that I'd really much like to get a re-release ore re-design of the classic Airport Shuttle! But: For all of you who think that we might get a monorail: I regrettably don't see there any chance! The molds for the monorail are destroyed. So we might - if any - get an elevated train. This elevated train either would run on the tracks seen in the IJ set Temple of Doom: This would allow the train to drive elevated and on the level of the regular trains - but the con would be that (since these tracks are only 6 stuck wide) this train then could only be four stuck wide which is imo too little (and when you see all the new cars and trucks TLG has been prodcucing in the last years an elevated train which is only four stuck wide would in comparison to them look absurd). Or this train might run on the RC track: This would supposably be cheaper - but the con would be that this train then could only drive elevated but not on the level of the regular trains. And: Imo there firstly have to be some shops and other buildings (apart from 10184 and 7641 we haven't got any civilian buildings yet (since about more than ten years) and only very few buildings in general). Then you need a big transportation center and transport network to have not too much traffic in your City. But until there aren't a decently number of buildings - for what do you need then an elevated train?! Apart from that I'm quite sure that we'll see an elevated train in the future - undependent from whether this ToyRUs poll will announce the Public Transportation Center as the winner or one of the two other choices. But if the City Square option wouldn't become the winner this might very supposable be the end of (exclusive) not train-related civilian sets such like public buildings, shops, restaurants, cafes etc. because TLG supposably would interpret the result as a no interest in such buildings and sets So think about it! Klaus-Dieter
  16. I thought once more about it: On the one hand it might well be that TLG chose a Greek/Spartan theme in order to get no competition with the Playmobil Roman theme which is that realistic that TLG would have to work hard to be able to concurrate with it. Nevertheless TLG surely could concurrate if they only wanted to. On the other hand I'm not that convinced that kids will like a Greek theme: If it included a lot of fantasy stuff then TLG concurrates with itself because of the fantasy-annoying new "Castle" theme. Apart from that I'm very convinced that kids are surely not that familiar and even not that interested in Greeks than in Romans, Wild West, Indians or Egypts. So . I think the only possibility to find out whether this will be a new theme or not is to wait til end of July until middle of August in order to get some information and pics. Klaus-Dieter
  17. Thank you very much for these pics, Kanal-K1! Overall I really this set! Cons: - very tall - minifigs look very similar Pros: + new color + nice accessory + truck with motor to see + nice bicycle + not too big truck (although I'm not a big fan of six stuck wide cars I must admit that a helicopter transporter with six stuck wide is really ok since the helicopter has to have place on it; the classic helicopter transporter with its four stuck wide was too little) + awesome designed helicopter + truck with car doors Please more cars and trucks with car doors!!! Really?! Imo the Camper is the worst City set of this year and even one of the worst City sets I've ever seen! But ok, each to his own. Klaus-Dieter
  18. Thank you very much for this pic and the idea, Oky Wan Kenobi! I partly agree with you: On the one hand I agree with you since I would like to see a Greek/Sparta theme, too (not that much like Wild West or Romans or Egypts - but nearly everything which has to do with history is always interesting and welcome). On the other hand I disagree with you since a good humans vs. bad fantasy creatures (like in the current "Castle" theme ) would be and destroy the big potential of such an awesome theme. (TLG could include one fantasy creature like e. g. Minotaurus - but then no additional fantasy creature!) My opinion: Without fantasy creatures I'd like this theme of course - with fantasy creatures surely no! I personally don't know what to think about whether this will be a new theme next year or only a game. On the one hand it seems strange if TLG releases a game on a theme which they haven't released until now and don't intend to release in the next year. On the other hand I'm a bit sceptical about whether TLG might already now give us a hint which new theme there'll be in 2010. If this is really a new theme then it would be awesome if TLG includes these lovely minifigs seem on the box art of the game, too! Klaus-Dieter
  19. Thanks, Section8! If TLG makes some seperate sets with Roman fantasy creatures I wouldn't have something to complain about since I then simply wouldn't buy this sets and only would get the "good" sets. But I fear that if TLG releases a Roman theme they will mix reality with fantasy (like in the present "Castle" theme ) - and then I very supposably won't buy these sets (like in the new "Castle" theme where I only bought the Good Wizzard, the Knight and the awesome MMV ). Klaus-Dieter
  20. I totally agree with you, Omi! Imo TLG hasn't done a good job with these pics since firstly they are partly completely different to the decriptions we were aible to read before and secondly because they are totally unrealistic. To choice 1: The picture which was drawn for this choice is absolutely unralistic and therefore even needless since TLG surely wouldn't release only a remake of 10184 combined with 7641! If this choice makes it I bet that - apart from the toy shop, the taxi and the fountain - we won't see anything shown there on the pic. Since TLG didn't include a real church and a marriage car in 10184 why should they now?! Imo the set might include a toy shop, a cafe, a fountain and perhaps another shop or some green space. To choice 2: The picture here is absolutely unrealistic and therefore even needless since there surely won't be an exclusvie set which could include all these elements shown there! Imagine how expensive a set like this would be if it included a tram with station, an elevated train with two stations, a bus with station, a hamburger stall, two taxis and a lot of other accessory, minifigs and the new overprized PF function elements to run the tram and the elevated train?! Surely around 500 Euros! If this choise makes it I bet that we will see an elevated train similar to the classic Airport Shuttle (but surely with normal RC tracks), two stations for it and a hamburger stall. That'll be it! To choice 3: This is the only choice where the picture makes sense since - apart from some little things - this might be more or less the set we could see! But surely there wouldn't be four big trucks and a that big motel - in contrary I highly doubt that TLG would include a motel at all! If this choice makes it I bet that we will see two or three trucks, a gas station and a little fast food restaurant. So don't let infuence you too much by the pics, please, since they very supposably don't show what we finally will get! Better reaad the descriptions on brothersbrick and decide because of these descriptions since if not so you might in the end perhaps be disappointed! (I hope that I wrote this comment as neutral as possible.) Klaus-Dieter
  21. Thank you very much for these pics and the link, Hinckley! Like already decided here I voted for option 1: City Square! I must say that option 1 looks the less promising on the pictures - I really don't understand why they nearly only draw already existing sets (town hall of 10184, the new pizzeria and the new sports car) on thos picture and apart from the fountain in the middle of the street (which looks too close to the fountain of 10184), the taxi, the pink car and the toys shop which looks very similar to the cinema in 10184. So where are the parts which shall make this set so attractive?! And whrere are all the foliage plants and all that thinigs TLG is promising in the topic description here?! I only see a little fountain beset with streets - this is no park!!! It seems as if TLG interntionally did not inlcude much new stuff in this pic in order to that not many people will vote for it! Nevertheless I voted for this option since I think that TLG supposably does have some good ideas about which could be included in this set - but doesn't want to show already now (although I know that this doesn't sound very convincing). I totally agree with you, Hinckley! When TLG publishes a picture like this one which shows a monorail and in the end then we wouldn't get a monorail many of us were very angry - and that wouldn't be good for TLG. The tram looks very promising, too. But notice that - because of these new overpriced PF stuff - this set would either get very, very expensive or there would only very few be included or you would have to add (and consequently even buy) all that PF stuff extra. That's the only thing which really disturbs me at this option. Total agreement here, too! I bet that TLG will release the option voted the most as an exclusive City set. Nevertheless I bet that the two other versions will appear as regular sets at the latest in 2011, too. When you look at the truck stop this is absolutely obvious: A truck stop is a typical set for JFOLs. So why should TLG only release it when it would get number one of the votes?! Like alread mention in the other topic I surely wouldn't like a truck stop that much since it would only bring oversized trucks and buidlings of which we already have got enough (a garage, a gas station and perhaps a little restaurant) . Nevertheless the motel shown on the pic would be a brilliant idea. But I don't see a reason why a motel or hotel couldn't be released as part of the City Square option or as a seperate set. I'm very excited which option will win. But I fear that the bad picture of the City Square option will have a too negative influence effect on people so that they won't vote for this one - too bad since this option would have a big potential! Klaus-Dieter
  22. Again thank you very much for the - now complete - review of this awesome set, Kanal-K1! Like already said this is next to 10184 Town Plan simply the best Town/City set ever! Some annotations to this brilliant set: Bus: + excellent design + perfect size (not too little but even not too big) Skate & Bicycle Shop: - no cashpoint - no door + two head-gears + lovely architecture + child minifigure One thing to say: I'd have prefered to see a seperate skate shop (with more head-gears, different colored skateboards and some torsos to buy) and a seperate bicycle shop (with more tools and minium one additional bicycle). Pizzeria: - only two pizzas - a glas window in the oven - oven for only one pizza - no interior in the attic + excellent architecture + 2,5 floors big + very nice interior + female minifigure I will for more than 100 % buy this awesome set! Great job, TLG! More civilian houses and sets on! Klaus-Dieter
  23. Thank you very much for that information, Freddie! The poll isn't already there (perhaps since it's in the US firstly very early the morning) but I already know which I'll vote for. The set describtions are (mainly the one of the Public Transportation Center) very vague (surely intentional) so it's very hard to vote. Truck Stop: This would indeed be a nice idea. The classic truck stop was imo a brilliant set. But remark that the trucks included in this set would be very, very big - perhaps even 8 stuck wide . And since I don't like that huge trucks this isn't my favourite vote. Besides I'm very sceptic about what there would be included in this set (apart from some trucks) since we already have got enough garages. The only thing which would be interesting to see would be a fast food restaurant - but only for that you don't need a whole truck stop. Public Transportation Center: A public transportation center would be a great idea. But I won't vote for this option since its description is much too vague. Shall that be a big bus stop with an office and two busses? Very unsupposably and surely not that a good idea since we already have got a bus station in the awesome 7641 City Life. Some seperate little sets which contain a bus (and at the best even a bus station) would be great. But only a big bus station as main part of an exclusive set?! I don't know. Shall that be some sort of set similar to the awesome classic Airport Shuttle? Then this would be an excellent set! But with all that overpriced PF stuff it would regrettably be that pricey that I don't know whether I'll be aible to afford it. City Square:  That's definately my thing! Some days ago I already draw a plan for a park with some benches, some trees, some dustbins, some flower beds and the lovely fountain of the brilliant set 10184 Town Plan in order to add a little park to the center of my Lego City (I'll show the plan soon). And I thought: It would be awesome if TLG releases a little park with a kiosk, a pavilion, a newsstand, a lot of foliage plants and of course some sort of monument! And now this could be getting real in about one and a half year - great! Since it shall be called City Square I hope that this set won't "only" include all that stuff that belongs to a good and complete park I mentioned above (kiosk, newspaper stand, a lot of foliage plants, a pavilion and a monument) but even at least one regular building (perhaps a museum, a library, a coffee house or - at the best some sort of office). So this is the option I'll vote for! Btw: 1. I don't see the problem why a Public Transportation Center and a City Square can not be one and the same set. I mean: Why not releasing a City Square (with a park, a kiosk, a newsstand, a monument, a lot of foliage plants) and a bus station (with a bus) in one set?! 2. What I really do miss in this poll is a mall and a fairground! So it seems as if TLG doesn't intend to release a mall and/or a fairground - too bad! Klaus-Dieter
  24. Secondly sorry to all of you! Firstly there were all these new City and SW summer sets on which I wanted to comment and then the last time I was very busy. So I'm very sorry that I firstly now take the time to comment on your great set proposals. Please forgive me! I totally agree with you, Oswald the Rabbit! A circus and a zoo would be brilliant! The minifigs need some place to relax and pass their free time. That's a great idea, Deaddude! An elevated train similar to the awesome set Airport Shuttle would be brilliant! Totally agreement here, too, legolover94 and Justin! I really don't understand why TLG hasn't offered to us a Lego Store - or at least a toy shop (or at the best both) - since firstly we would be pleased and secondly this would be absolute ad for Lego itself. Absolutely awesome idea, Ricecracker! A presidential's limousine, some chivy suburbans and that vehicle with the gun would be absolutely :oh: ! Regrettably I fear that TLG will never release a vehicle similar to that one with the gun in the City theme - because of their anti-violence policy (which funnily enough does only exist in this theme ). But some not on a special president (there could be the President of Legoland! ) based sets for a president like a limousine, these chivy suburbans, the president's home and a gouvernment would be possible and excellent! Great ideas here, too, donneyboy! A limousine is absolutely necessary and I really hope TLG will release one (at the best in a hotel set) soon! A seperate sold bus (at the best with bus station) would be great since only the one bus with bus station is a bit little for a whole City. A ferry is an excllent idea! More cargo ships and even a lot of passenger ships are absolutely necessary and would be very welcome! I totally agree with you, darthperson! Some winter sets like a pisten bully, a snow plug, a ski hut, a piste, a winterly family house with snowman and a mountain rescue center with helicopter, 4wrd and different snowmobiles, perhaps even a winterly train station would be absolutely awesome! I totally agree with you, zeki! Some seperate sold cargo trucks (of course with driver and cargo!) would be great! Plus a depot would be absolutely awesome! A park would be a very nice idea, too, because the minifigs want to relax somewhere, too. Nevertheless I fear that TLG won't release a park (at least not as a seperate set) since surely sadly mainly only some AFOLs (me included) would be interested in this set. A little CG HQ with a little command center, a pier, another car - and at the best with a little hovercraft - would be quite nice! Awesome ideas, darthperson! I, too, would really like to see more food shops! Mainly a bakery would be absolutely necessary and even awesome (perhaps with pretzels?! )! I totally agree with you, donneyboy! A grocery is absolutely neccessary (otherwise our minifigs will die - they can not only eat chicken and pizza! ) and so I really hope that TLG will offer one next year! A bowling alley is a very nice idea. A movie studio is imo a set which would be liked by AFOLs as well as JFOLs - so I hope that we'll see a whole TV/news theme soon! I totally agree with you, Ralphy and BlueBard! Some taxi sets would be great! What about these two following ideas (which partly aren't new since some of you already mentioned proposals similar to these): Taxi taxi (similar to the new Sports Car but with roof and doors) at the best in tan color but other colors would be ok, too (the most important would be that you can identify it as a taxi) including a taxi telephone box (I saw these in Munich - they look very similar to the emergency phone box in the Sports Car set but in tan/yellow color - you can call for a taxi with them) and a map minfig: taxi driver Taxi Station a little hut which is the office for the taxi drivers (with writing table, computer, telephone, city map and coffee machine), a newsstand and a little fountain with some seats and foliage plants around it including a map, two cups, some billets, some newspapers, two suitcases, a dog and some other accessory minifigs: two taxi drivers, female shop owner, old man with sick and male passenger What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
