  1. Thank you very much for your nice comments, TheCobra, gormadoc1, Dwarfinator, Guss and Peterz! It's really great to see so many Lego Western fans here on EB! If now TLG denies that a new Western theme would be a huge success than I really would not know what I should think. And btw: Welcome to EB, Peterz! Klaus-Dieter
  2. It will come with micro-scaled minifigs (meaning minifigs which are smaller than the regular minifigs). So they're too little in comparison to when you want to use the common minifig accessory, doors, ... But if you don't need these things you could well build a MOC with this micro-scaled minifigs - that's right. And btw: Welcome to EB, Dwarfinator! I did never say that the consequence for why we are seeing a Greek/Spartan Lego board game this year is that there'll be for 100 percent a Greek/Spartan theme next year, Sandy. I only would be very surprised if TLG releases a board game about a theme they do not intend to release since they could even release a board game which has as a content a relation to one of the many themes TLG has been releasing until now. Klaus-Dieter
  3. Do you mean pics of new sets or the sets themselves, Skipper 24? Because it's right that we'll surely see pics of the new January 2010 SW sets in about the middle of August (like last year) - but we surely won't be aible to get these sets before December. It's very hard to say whether TLG will offer us some OT BPs in next January or some CW BPs because of the popularity of CW (like ADHO15 already mentioned). But like you already said, Millacol88, that's no reason why we should give up our hopes for OT BPs next January. TLG has to think about - and even does that - that there are a lot of SW fans which aren't interested in CW (like I) and some Endor BPs would be a perfect addition to this year's awesome Endor bunker set. The only two things which are sure are - that we surely won't get some Hoth BPs since we already get one big Hoth BP this summer and - that TLG - if we get some Endor BPS - will surely not include the main characters seen in the brilliant Endor set this summer. Otherwise it doesn't help - we'll have to wait until information about next year's sets will leak or/and until we'll see pics of these sets. Klaus-Dieter
  4. I totally agree with you, Tinn-man! The Imperial Shuttle is one of the most important vehicles of the OT and so I really would like to see TLG releasing a re-design! But I wish that it doesn't come with Rebels but with Palpatine, an Imperial Pilot, a black-suited Imperial Officer and two Imperial Royal Guards (plus one of Palpatine's "friends" he brings with him to show him his new DS would be absolutely amazing! ). I totally agree with you, ADHO15! The Imperial Inspection was overpriced and it was a very disappointing set since there was not only one new minifig included in this set plus TLG used (like in the Motorized AT-AT) false minifigs since they used the regular Imperial Officer as Imperial Engineer ! If TLG releases a new Imperial Shuttle I hope that it will not only come with the minifigs I mentioned above. I even hope that they'll rework the design if the Imperial Shuttle: There should be minimum two seats in the cockpit and there really has to be a gangway in the front! Otherwise this set would only be a redesign of the two older versions and would so be dispensable since it would be no improvement in comparison to the two older versions (and if so I of course don't buy it - but with new minifigs, seats and gangway in the front I'd very supposable buy it)! Klaus-Dieter
  5. Since we get this awesome Endor set The Battle of Endor this year I' like to see the two following BPs in january next year: Endor Rebel BP including a big tree with a little platform to hide and some stones (to throw down from the platform) minifigs: an Ewok with bow, an Ewok with lance, an Endor Rebel Trooper with long gun and an Endor Rebel Captain with short gun Endor Imperial BP including a speederbike and a shrub minifigs: a Scout trooper, two Stromtroopers with short guns and an Imperial Navy Trooper with short gun These would imo be great and 100 percent fitting additions to the brilliant Endor set this year and would even go very well with a possible Ewok Town set in the future. Klaus-Dieter
  6. That's a great little scene, Thrash! I really like how you designed it - very realistic! If only TLG offers us a bank with some bank robbers soon, too! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  7. Thank you very much for this great review, Kanal-K1! Although there are surely some people which disagree with me I must say that this is simply the worst City set of this year! Pros: + great exterior design + great minifigs + car doors Cons: - very huge - ugly hopening mechanism - nearly no interior When there came some blurry pics out in late December I thought that this set will become (apart from its too big size) one of the best City sets ever. But the opposition happened: TLG defaced the whole set with including nearly no interior in the camper (although there would be so many place) and adding this uggly opening mechanism (instead of only a roof to open or one side to open) to it. That's really a shame since this set would have had such a big potential! Klaus-dieter
  8. Thank you very much for the new and clear pics, Hinckley! This is an absolutely awesome set and surely one of the best Lego SW sets ever! Like already mentioned I'll surely buy this brilliant set although it won't be cheap. But with the many amazing minifigs, the speederbike and the bunker I must really have it! I totally agree with you, Navy Trooper Fenson! Two Endor BPs with these contents would be absolutely awesome! Btw: Since there were two CW (PT) BPs this january it's very supposably that we'll see two OT BPs next january, isn't it? Klaus-Dieter
  9. That's an awesome convoy you put together there, Aramor! I really it! I really like the soldier's big coach in whichs front you put four horses - great idea! Very nice soldier minifigs and many horses! The only two things I don't like are the two minifigs which don't beling to the Western theme: the adventurer and the pirate - but that's surely because you didn't have enough other minifigs. Otherwise it's perfect. The most I like your main supply cart which you designed perfectly and very realistic! Very well done! Btw: Very late but nevertheless: Welcome to EB, Aramor! And great to see another new Western fan on the boards! Klaus-Dieter
  10. These are great little MOCs, darthperson! I really like them! They look very realistic - especially the copier which is my favourite amoungst them. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  11. I'd so much like to see (element number 4188953) but 1x4x6 (or at least 1x4x5) - meaning a height not of 2 but of 5 or 6. The color should be either dark grey, grey or black. This would offer you the opportunity to create a large tall fence which is absolutely necessary for - barriers for a construction side - fences around a train area (where there are engine sheds, depots, ...) - fences around depots and other industrial buidlings ... Thanks for reading. Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you very much for the many great pics, Kanal-K1! So when do you plan to show us a review of the awesome 7747 Wind Turbine Transport? I, too, would so much like to see TLG releasing a rollercoaster - or at least some folk festival/fairground sets in general! But I regrettably don't see that happen. Klaus-Dieter
  13. That's a very nice Western MOC, Sir Nadroj! I really like it. The colors fit very well (at the most the perfect sombination of red and yellow) and there are some nice details. The only things which I don't like are the old windows, the CW Obi Wan head+hairs and the missing of doors. I personally liked your older version of your stage coach much more than this new one - but that's of course only my opinion. Nevertheless very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  14. I don't know since I bought some of the smaller Western and Indian sets in toy shops, some of the bigger sets when they were rereleased in 2002 but the most of the sets used (but in a very good condition) from Ebay. But perhaps someone else can help you. If recently or not recently - that doesn't matter. (After the poll from TLG about one year ago whether we'd like to see Western, Animals or Robots - and where Western surely won) I could well imagine that TLG will test next year with two Factory sets if enough people are interested in WW. If yes then they'll supposably release a whole new theme in 2011. At least this was the course of action how TLG did with the new Space Police theme - last year two Factory sets, then one year later (this year) the whole new theme. That's how I could imagine it works. But I might be wrong, too. I really hope that we will not only see one or two exclusive (Factory) sets but a whole new theme (at the best with new Indians, too)! Klaus-Dieter
  15. You mean some sort of safari theme, darthperson?! - That's a brilliant idea! With TLG taking not only police/fire/construction/emergency themes in the last times (and mainly this year) plus they go even in the direction of environmental sets (this year's awesome 7747 Wind Turbine Transport) and sets which are placed in the nature (the new Farm theme) I could well imagine that TLG will release more sets and themes in the future which will be around nature, animals and all that - and I really would like to see TLG going further this direction! So I could even well imagine that we'll see a safari, a zoo, a forest, a mountain and/or a circus theme. Klaus-Dieter
  16. Since TLG releases these nice Farm sets this year I've got a new idea: What about a milk truck (like TLG released as promo sets in the past) and a creamery (either as two different sets or as one set)? Imo this would fit very well in the Farm theme and would be a perfect addition to the farm with its lovely cows (a slaughterhouse would probably don't fit that well since the City theme mainly focuses on little children. ). Btw: Hoe do you like my ideas for a possible folk festival theme (I wrote two comments before)? Klaus-Dieter
  17. One contra argument for those who think that there'll be no Greek/Spartan theme next year: Why should TLG release a bord game with microfigs, a fantasy creature and a topic to which they don't have in mind to produce a new theme in the next year(s)?! That would imo be absurd since there have been already enough different themes until now that it wouldn't be necessary to invent a new theme only for one board game! But of course I might be wrong. Klaus-Dieter
  18. The new skin looks absolutely amazing, Hinckley! I really it! Imo it's much, much better than the old skin. It looks so lovely because of the classic minifigs and the brilliant MOCs you included in it! Mainly this old yellow villa with the blue roof looks excellent! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  19. Glad to have another EB member beotted with Lego Wild West here! And great to see that so many people voted and commented in this topic - and that so many people are interested in WW! So if TLG in the next years doesn't release some new Western sets it's their own mistake! Klaus-Dieter
  20. Thank you very much, WhiteFang! Like already mentioned I of course would very much like to participate in this great contest - and I even hope that I'll have enough time to build my entire - but I don't want to promise anything. So minimum one building, minimum one car and the use of (maximum rwo (roadplates) - let's see, I already have got an idea. Only one question in order to that I completely understand right: Are we only allowed to use bricks of the 70ths and 80ths or even newer bricks (like e. g. the ice cream pieces or the ? (minifigs are clear that they only are allowed to be from that time) Klaus-Dieter
  21. That's a great idea for a contest, WhiteFang! Regrettable I have still yet only very few days until my semester will begin. But I look what I'll we aible to do since - if possible - I of course don't want to miss this great contest! Klaus-Dieter
  22. Why not, alex12?! I mean: In the last years there have been always about three new themes a year. And there are always similar themes like e. g. PowerMiners and SpacePolice which belong to sci-fiction or e. g. Pirates and "Castle" which belong to "historical" themes. It's not unlikely that - after we have seen the pic of the board game with these Greek/Spartan characters that we'll see a Greek/Spartan theme next year. But why should this be a reason for that TLG won't offer a new Western theme to us in the next years, too?! It can't be denied that in the first part of this decade the interest in WW was not very high. But only look at these many WW creations which are shown at the moment here on EB (and which aren't all built by myself ) and the many people which are interested in them - plus many people wrote in a topic of the News & General Discussions subforum that they'd like to see a comeback of WW. So it would be stupid not only for us Lego Western fans but even for TLG itself if TLG doesn't release a new WW theme in the next years because of two reasons: 1. TLG gives away a lot of profit since there are a lot of WW fans which would like to buy some new Western sets. 2. The popularity of TLG decreases since their customers don't get what they want - namely new Western sets - and are consequently disappointed and discontent. So I'd say it's only a question of time when a new Western theme comes up - but I bet that there'll be one at the latest in 2012 - or at least I hope so. Klaus-Dieter
  23. Of course you're right in this point, TheBrickster. But when you want to design your own farm (to which theme it ever may belong - City, Western, Castle, ...) you don't need an official set for this but order bricks form PaB, S@H, Ebay, BL or what so ever. I was speaking only about this one new Farm set (7637) and meant that when you take it like it is officialy designed (and don't change something) then you can't use it for any other theme. Thanks, TheBrickster! I mean: If TLG releases some new WW sets there have to be some really new sets, too, and what's nearer - and more in demand - than a stage coach with post office, a saloon, a steam train with station and a farm?! Klaus-Dieter
  24. That's exactly about which I worry, Mirandir. Well, I think (or at least I hope) that we'll see a review of Kanal-K1 soon which then (hopefully) will give us prove. Klaus-Dieter
  25. Thank you all very much for your nice comments! Thanks, legotrainfan! Since I intentionally wanted to build it similar to the official style of Lego City sets I thought that there have to be many different colors in order that kids like it. And there of course have to be sunflowers. But it's not only that: I, too, think that a greenhouse has to have a lot of plants, a little garden next to it etc. Thanks, Eilif and BlueBard! I totally agree with you! An official set with a garden and a greenhouse would be perfect and and could be used as additional set for the Farm theme, as market garden for your Lego City or simply as addition for a family house. Thanks, Zorro! I thought that there must be some sunflowers next to the greenhouse. And btw: What is spring/summer without sunflowers?! Thanks, TheBrickster! I'm glad to read that you like it! And thank you very, very much for adding this my MOC to classic-town.net! Thanks, prateek! To the colors: I must honestly say that I was't sure (and still am not) whether this shall be a greenhouse or a market garden. Perhaps this is the reason for the "strange" colors (perhaps even not ).
