  1. Thank you Rick! And thank you for all your support and guidance whilst I was a Regulator. Thank you to you too Ricey! I'm so happy to continue to be part of the Town team, and honoured to be a Moderator here. Thank you very much Grogall, but I'm joining a strong team in Town that has two Mods already (those guys up there ^)! I'll take this opportunity to say thanks to you for all your High-res sneak previews! Cheers Pep! *Clinks glasses* Thanks gazumpty, I'll try! Thank you everyone, I'm really pleased and honoured to take this new position, and I will do my best to work with the others to keep Town fresh, exciting, organised, fun, and the finest source of LEGO Town/City/Friends news, reviews, MOCs and discussion on the web.
  2. That... that's pretty amazing! Wow. It was last Summer, for Summer of Friends.
  3. Congratulations Foooooog, spam destroyer extraordinaire!
  4. Oh. Yeah. Second time. Also a Zepher quest. You push this at your peril...
  5. The opportunities for going on the Fields quest are not that common, though. I appreciate this option is given in addition to the 10 quests idea, but I just thought I'd raise a concern.
  6. First time I've ever been KOed (I think?) In case it wasn't clear, I left Atramor in charge. *Finger hovers over the 'ban Zepher' button*
  7. Gah, I was writing just that not long ago! Here's the picture I took for an upcoming review, which might give a clearer view, in case it helps. I've put a link to the original (3874 x 1807) picture on the pic itself.
  8. If you do get that option, join ours! Please?
  9. Unfortunately, we knew that from the start.
  10. "Atramor, I worry about using a Phoenix Essence when we have so few between us..." Nyx winces slightly as she thinks, and then continues "but we must at least try." She sighs heavily, considering the future ramifications. She looks around... there's an awful lot of her blood on the floor; nearly too much... "I cannot revive Dyric and heal either Poletad or myself. I'm not sure how long I can last, but if I fall - Thothwick please promise me you'll listen to Atramor despite your differences, and Atramor, look after this team, as I'm sure you will." She realises this sounds like a swansong, and it's just not who she is. She is a fighter and she will damn well keep going until her last breath. She runs her fingers through her hair, fixing some loose strands here and there, and a determined look falls on her face. "Atramor, you have managed to poison that Recent Dead D somehow, can you try again with some of the others? That would help us. Unfortunately we have lost the effects of a dragon scale and a smelling salts with Dyric's fall, but.. we need allies or we're doomed. Sweet Sir Poletad, I ask of you a great favour: to please heal me without any offer of healing in return. I'm sorry little frog, but I will be begging the fates for a miracle, and you should not be hit as Thothy and Atters will protect you. Boys, if you can keep me alive long enough, it'll only take me a couple of good hits to destroy this Zee when the time comes." Battle Order: >Thothwick - attacks Recent Dead C >Thothwick - Smelling Salts on Atramor >Atramor - attacks Recent Dead A >Atramor - attacks Recent Dead B >Poletad - heals Nyx >Nyx - Phoenix Essence on Dyric >Dyric - uses Smelling Salts >Dyric - attacks Zee Nyx kneels next to Dyric's unconscious body and whispers as she applies the Phoenix Essence from the back row. "We'll have you up again Dyric; when you are, please take your Smelling Salts and then attack Zee from the back row."
  11. A post is imminent!
  12. I meant through a variety of ways, so the chance of a spell not costing any Ether depending on a subsequent roll of the dice (50% for example) or some other means. I do really like this, but I can see so many people straight-up favouring Darkness, after all it would make the most sense. That decision could be written into anyone's roleplay, even Nyx's despite her always being very much a fire mage. Much better words!
  13. I can see a lot of mages (Nyx included) really not wanting to be called "Elder" and viewed as "wizened". I really like your suggestions Pie. Yes, I really miss my AoE attack, and adding something in for that is great, as is the Magic Respite (although if Barbarians can regain all health at the end of a battle, then Expert Mages should certainly regain all Ether.) I think there is perhaps scope for adding in Magic Resistance for Expert Mages, say 50% or even 100% for a selected favoured element? Or perhaps selecting a favourite element (once) and having zero Ether cost for that element? (I know that runs the risk of everyone choosing Darkness.) Expert Mages should be people who have greater affinity for magic which would imply greater damage from spells, greater chance of success with spells, greater resistance from magic and reduced Ether cost one way or another. The Mage Expert Class doesn't have to be all those things to the max, or even all those things together, they are just suggestions from another Mage's perspective.
  14. I'm extremely intrigued, and I'd love to play, if you'll have me.
  15. OoC Surely I did 92 damage with my counter as I was using a Diamond, and am Encouraged? And wouldn't Atramor have countered the free hit against him, or am I missing something? Nyx giggles as she feels the rasp of Poletad's tongue on her cheek. "You're such a lovely little frog, and we should do again what we've done before - will you heal me Sir Frog and allow me to, uhm, gently tap you with my Healing Staff? I don't think either of us will survive much longer if we don't, but if you could manage a Miracle, that'd be... great. Atramor, could you please target Recent Dead D instead? That would reduce the incoming damage from free hits, plus it wouldn't expose us to nasty specials that may decimate the party. I know you'll be dealing Cursed this round, but the risk is too great. You could end up on your own. " Nyx and Poletad remain in the back row and attempt to heal each other. Battle Order: >Thothwick (Recent Dead B) >Thothwick (Recent Dead C) >Atramor (Ancient Dead A Recent Dead D) >Dyric (Zee) >Dyric (Recent Dead A) >Nyx (Hits Poletad with Healing Staff) >Poletad (Heals Nyx, please)
  16. Bob, a Mafia on a cruise ship sounds extremely tempting! Any new Mafia School games will be announced here, in the General Discussion and Announcements topic, although I'm not sure if there are any upcoming Mafia School games. You do indeed need to play a Mafia School game, and pass, in order to apply for the Advanced games. The Mafia School games usually involve teaching you the basics of how to play.
  17. "No worries Dyric. Atramor is force-feeding you a Dragon Scale which will Bless you and make you Lucky, while you use a Remedy on Atramor and change your Loaded Dice for your Aqua-Gear. And everyone's doing everything from the back row."
  18. "I wasn't mocking Zoot, in fact none of us were! I was inviting you on a picnic, and I was even asking you nicely! But you had to go all stompy on us, and well, frankly that's just rude." Nyx stares around at the ridiculous numbers of deceased and shakes her head, cursing the fates. A lot. She looks back at her brave team, knowing this was going to be tough. "Right chaps" she slaps her hands together and cracks her neck "Atramor, I agree with you - feed Dyric that Dragon Scale, and Dyric stick your Aqua Gear on. Thothy, you and Atters will be the strongest as you have the highest defense/health. I'll attack Zee this round to reduce the free hit cost, but after that I'd like Dyric to focus on her, as his luck may avoid her unpleasant specials. Sir Poletad, my brave frog, please would you be so kind as to heal one of the higher levelled undead? Say, Recent Undead A? In the following rounds I'd be extremely grateful if you could focus on patching us up after all the free hits. Atramor, my Explosive Staff may prove useful after all; feel free to poison the bastards when you get the chance. Any questions? Basically, back row everyone, focus on the Recent Undead when you can, and bloody well pray to any deity you like (except Zoot, although that might not hurt given the circumstances)." Nyx whirls around and emits a roar, more out of frustration than pure rage, as she focuses the power of her Diamond on Zee, through her book, from the back row. Battle Order: Thothwick Atramor Nyx Dyric Poletad
  19. Zepher, can I just clarify: If we attack Zee any and all attacks will be redirected, up until there are only soulless enemies. And for them all to be soulless we have to kill all the enemies at least once. And if we kill the soulless enemies again, do they get reincarnated again? 11 enemies, 10 of whom who likely have to be killed at twice, and one of whom can't be killed until we've killed 10 at least once. Zepher, words fail me.
  20. Nyx whispers so that only Thothy can hear: "Thothy, let's not antagonise the skellie-lady" She turns to Zee with a winning smile. "Well, there might be a picnic, who knows? That's why I said maybe. Anyway, I like the idea of Wren being swallowed by Zoot, and clearly you don't mind being swallowed by Zoot, so that's hunky-dory too, uhm, I'm just not so keen on Zoot swallowing the City and presumably the rest of creation. If I asked you really, really nicely, do you think you could possibly... not do this? I know it's a lot to ask, but you could join us on our picnic instead maybe? Or is there a work-around, where Zoot swallows Wren and then decides he's actually quite full, and can't quite manage to swallow the world, even though it might be wafer-thin, and just goes for a cigar and brandy instead?"
  21. Nice hair, shame about the face... and the outfit, Nyx thinks to herself. "We're just passing through... making sure everything is... orderly and as it should be. We were on our way to a picnic, actually. Maybe. Very nice to meet you Zee, I'm Nyx. "
  22. They are the next best thing! Correct. So, when I roll a Shield or if I specify a physical attack.
  23. Consider me Sci-Fied!
  24. Before I completely forget: - RA Anniversary Pandy and Lampost Chewer [a modification of my previous title, but now adding in a nod to my exploits as a lamp post chewing, adowable Fabuland goat in Hinckley's The Forest 2 Mafia game. From Hinckley.] - Chocolateyly [a fantabulous new adverb I have created. It is etymologically sound - if you do something in a chocolatey way, you do it chocolateyly. See if you can use it in a sentence today! From Rick, who's chocolatey occasionally.] I'll send you a breakdown of my fees. We do, yes. Thanks Foog, here's your one!
