Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job
Pandora replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Of course Mr Skrall, I should be delighted" Nyx grins at Skrall, enjoying his joke and the faux-formality "but if Atramor fails to successfully target Pain, he will be very dead, whereas I could withstand a blow from it, so I shall respectfully decline your kind offer and beat the living hell out of Pain instead." Nyx once more calls forth the power of Lightning as she charges it towards Pain from the back row. -

Nyx winces as Rufindel falls. Boomingham looks in poor shape, and concern flits across her face, before the anger rises once more. "Sure thing, Larry dear" she manages, trying to hide her worry, before rounding on Pain once more and charging up another Lightning spell from the back row. -

The events unfolding are becoming more worrying by the hour. I think we are in more peril than we might think. I found it hard to believe Patrekr might be scum before this badwagon was formed, and even less so after he has defended himself. I cannot see what information will be gleaned by his death, and I think we need all the townies we can get right now. Beorn, don't forget about that news you had for us.

Dragmall also already settled it. And he said this was thanks to Finn, also. This was the story Finn gave me, and it was not my intention to rub anything in. The fact that it's consistent is reassuring. That's reasonable logic. Wilhalm is still quiet, but that isn't your responsibility, and I understand you were unsuccessful in motivating him with a gift. I didn't really expect an answer to that; I did say I appreciated that it was difficult to answer. I hope a closer look at that night is already happening. I didn't have all the details at all, I had some and had inferred others, and the roles you mention, assuming that they're true, are indeed more town-friendly. I didn't ask you whether you thought it was balanced, however I suspect that your role is a balancing role itself, which again implies to me that it's more town-aligned. Again, a reasonable explanation. I'm more inclined to believe you're town after hearing what you've had to say, which it would seem from your reaction would surprise you. You have made a number of strange comments which are similar in their nature to all that you've just said; namely that you basically just seem permanently pissed off and have a tendency to sigh a lot. Fair enough, you're being accused of being scum so you would be annoyed, but it has made some of your earlier comments seem "off" (as others have put it). Thank you for your responses.

Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job
Pandora replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Well this totally sucks as a hideout. Why couldn't we stay at a nice hotel with fluffy pillows? Or even in a room over a tavern, and we could have got some drinking time in before sleeping somewhere warm and cozy. I hate being woken up suddenly and having to fight, it makes me terribly grumpy." Nyx turns to Pain and scowls resentfully at it. "And I was having a nice dream, too." Decidedly annoyed with the interrupting statues, Nyx retrieves her Topaz and casts Lightning magic at Pain from the back row, channelling her magic through her book. -
Do we seem to be missing a few people? It's almost halfway through the day and we haven't even heard from Dagrun at all, and Canute, Carl and Wilhalm have just wandered off again. On to the discussion at hand, Cranebeinn has been high on my list of suspects for a while, as a few people can confirm from private conversation. I was also in conversation with Finn, and he wasn't sure he could trust you either, despite your gift. The reasoning he gave me for why you gave him a gift on night one didn't seem adequate, but he was hypothesising on your behalf, so it'd be very helpful to understand to whom you have tried to gift each night, and why you chose that person. Like some others here, I don't see what happened on day one to make Finn seem so trustworthy, and I cannot fathom why you felt Wilhalm was deserving of a present, especially after trying to call him out for his silence (which hasn't exactly improved a significant amount). Giving a present to Finn would help 'confirm' you to a townie, even if the gift was protective - you could just kill other townies instead, or having gained his trust find out if he'd used it. It wouldn't make sense for you to target him last night, knowing he had a protective item, but we unfortunately don't know if you knew whether he'd already used it. I appreciate that you may feel we will disbelieve whatever answer you give to that. Your role in itself, as described to me by Finn, didn't strike me as necessarily only useful to townies, so you being an inventor doesn't necessarily mean you're a town inventor. There are other things, too, like your timely appearance as Demeter to support Hervi, and then reappearance in the form of Hephaistus - two names apparently to protect your identity, even though the person protecting this identity was Hervi, a known scum who was on their way to be lynched at that point. Anyway, for now, I'd like to hear more about why you chose to gift to the people you did, please. It is very possible that actually there is a redirector at work, and that would explain getting a doctor result on a vanilla. That is assuming you are a vanilla, but why would someone claim you're a protector and not some scum role? So it would seem logical to me that the role cop should be examined closely. This result doesn't necessarily imply one or other of you is either town or scum, but the fact that we even have a role cop, which is an unusual role for us to have, needs further attention. In addition to all that, I await with interest whatever it is that Beorn has to say.

The loss of three loyal Einherjar is a severe step backwards, and the loss of each of them is worrying. We were wrong about Stemid; nice guy, but he made some odd statements. The fact that Finn was the scum's choice of kill last night is also worrying. He had been forced to explain his role in public, but he had made it very clear that he no longer had a role. I would have thought the scum would be keen to find some of the other active townies that they surely knew about thanks to Hervi, but instead they decided to go after someone who had claimed vanilla in public? That is more than odd, to my mind. I suspect the remaining scum are quite sneaky and devious, and that there is a greater pattern at work than that which we can see right now. I shall be pondering in my Alchemistry lab, and apologies to anyone I accidentally set fire to while we were exercising this morning, but the reach of my flame-thrower is remarkably impressive, if I do say so myself.

Mafia School: Police Infiltration - Conclusion
Pandora replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
The plot was fluid and open-ended. If the Town had won then Randy and Poppy would have been good guys, and would have walked out into the sunshine with the survivors, charging them with the responsibility of keeping Kirksville safe. There are occasional references to Mafia games passim in the day threads, and more than a few references to some well known players too, but also some of what was happening was trying to reflect (without giving anything away) what had actually been happening in the game. Lynching NPCs will get you nowhere, especially if those NPCs are actually the hosts! -

Everyone is accusing everyone. In fact there are so many accusations flying around it’s hard to keep track. Almost everyone is accused at some point, including the scum. PsyKater is accusing DarthPotato, the Godfather, and everyone else really. The aggressiveness of his accusations might make people turn on him eventually. Next to the Doctor (PsyKater), the Cop (konze) is attracting attention to himself by posting pictures of a skull cake and coffee, which is fun but an investigator should try not to attract too much attention. Risky move by TheBoyWonder to vote first. So far, he’s not attracting too much attention for doing so. Endgame’s pointing the Finger of Suspicion ( ) at Superficial Username, who’s scum. TazManiac votes for Endgame rather randomly. Endgame votes for him in return and everyone’s throwing votes around wildly and unvoting again. Typically… all of them are Town. Endgame’s jumpy reaction to TazManiac’s accusation is considered scummy. The ongoing argument between the Townies is a perfect distraction for the scum, who merely have to sit back and do nothing. There’s only been a small amount of strategising by the scum team, based on the beginning of the day. They need to talk more, but maybe they will. PsyKater is, rightfully, calling out two scum for flying under the radar (they really need to contribute more), and voting for one of them. But then again, PsyKater is also calling out the Cop. TheBoyWonder really should have responded to the case against Jean and zakura is just not contributing at all and trying ( he just can’t get his vote right) to jump on a bandwagon. One of the scum is (rightly) picked out for ‘flying under the radar’, but in the morass of accusations, it doesn’t pick up speed. Accusations are a good thing, in fact a great thing on Day One, but too many and the water becomes muddied and focus can be lost. Night One The scum see PsyKater as their biggest threat, but decide against killing him because of his accusations against TheBoyWonder and zakura. Instead, they kill Adam, a rational player and zakura blocks PsyKater, who is very outspoken for a protector. JaseTJ, the Vigilante, shoots PsyKater, the most pro-town player and, even worse, the Doctor. Ironically, he protects him in return. Masked Builder decides to block Adam, not the most obvious choice for the town roleblocker. JaseTJ makes konze waste an investigation on PsyKater. Imagine what could have happened if the Cop found the Doctor on the first night. All in all, a pretty tragic night for the Town. They lose their Doctor and two of their most rational players. All this after voting out an active Townie during the day, too. Day Two TrumpetKing67 makes a silly mistake by calling the dead ‘scum’ instead of ‘town’ and becomes the number one lynch target for the day after his first post. People aren’t really analysing the deaths or looking back at Day One, although they don’t have all that much to go on with a Townie lynched. Instead, they are looking at the silent ones and, when voting opens, are quickly voting without providing much more reasoning than that people are quiet or voting without much reasoning. Superficial Username and DarthPotato are casting doubt on zakura, a fellow scum, but when they vote for him they allow, perhaps a bit too explicitly, for the possibility of unvoting him again when he says something in his defence. zakura doesn’t do his team a favour by not saying much in his defence, thus giving his fellow scum very little reason to unvote him. This makes their unvotes of zakura look scummy. I wonder if people will look back at these posts when zakura is revealed to be scum. More votes are being retracted from zakura, again without providing much reasoning, allowing the scum to blend in a little more, and votes against TrumpetKing67 start piling up again. Turning point of the day: Superficial Username’s vote, if correctly formated, would have lynched TrumpetKing67. Scorpiox points out how scummy zakura’s vote is and his analysis of the situation basically prevents the scum from rectifying the situation, because any vote for TrumpetKing67 after Scorpiox’s post would look incredibly scummy. From then on, all votes are for zakura, and together with the two penalty votes he incurred for not following the rules, he finds himself lynched. Night Two JaseTJ makes up for his mistake on Night One by killing TheBoyWonder. Masked Builder chooses a scum to block and blocks the Godfather, but this has no effect because he is not the one performing the Mafia kill that night. konze is unlucky and investigates the Godfather, who reads Town to him. I wonder if he’ll contact him to work together, which would put the scum in a very convenient position. Superficial Username suggests JaseTJ may be the Vigilante (after he sent several people, including TheBoyWonder, a request for protection on Night One). They are right and Superficial Username is sent to kill the Vigilante on Night Two. After two nights, the Town have lost their Doctor and their Vigilante and the scum are left without their Roleblocker. Day Three Day Three starts where Day Two left off: really slow. With two members of the Mafia down, the previous two days should give them loads to talk about and work with. The scum incorrectly assume JaseTJ wasn’t the Vigilante after all because he still killed that night. Usually kills happen at the end of the order if actions, and a kill made by a killer who dies themself usually goes through, which is what happened: JaseTJ killed TheBoyWonder and was then killed by Superficial Username. We even subtly hinted at it by changing the order of the deaths compared to Night One. We didn’t want to confirm JaseTJ was the vigilante by showing him kill TheBoyWonder. Eurobricks goes down and an almost complete Day Three, which probably would have ended without a lynch, is lost. Luckily, Day Two ended right before the downtime, so we can resume with Day Three immediately. The new Day Three is even slower than the old Day Three. People keep saying they should vote and accuse, but the only thing that happens is that TazManiac and Stormblessed indicate that TrumpetKing67 and konze are most likely Town because they were voted for by two confirmed scum and voted for a scum on Day One, respectively. Town is going to lose this game if they don’t start talking and analysing. Scorpiox hasn’t even bothered to post and will incur penalty votes on Day Four. Night Three It’s Night Three and the only actions left are the Cop and the Mafia’s Kill. The Mafia kill TazManiac and konze investigates TrumpetKing67 and finds out he’s Town. Day Four The start of Day Four is really slow again. People are just asking others to ‘speak up’. In the final 24 hours of the day, Stormblessed presents an analysis of the votes of the previous days to show that it’s unlikely konze is scum, mainly based on Day Two voting patterns. Day Two voting and especially unvoting incriminate the remaining two members of the scum (DarthPotato and Superficial Username) and badboytje88. They all unvoted zakura at the time he started to get himself lynched by violating the roleplaying rule. Stormblessed eventually votes for badboytje88. He doesn’t present a particularly strong case as it’s mainly based on TazManiac’s suspicions. badboytje88 responds by concluding that Stormblessed and TrumpetKing67 are most likely the remaining scum. If the Town follow up on these suspicions, they’ll probably lose. Right now, their only hope is looking back on the Day Two votes again. The Cop, konze, has investigated DarthPotato as Town and will have no reason to investigate Superficial Username, who has - surprisingly after his failed attempt to hammer the vote against TrumpetKing67 on Day Two - avoided suspicion. It really is time for the Town to read back the prior days in detail. It’s not even that much to go through. Everyone, except Ferrik, hops on the last-minute bandwagon and Superficial Username once again fails to properly hammer the lynch. Scorpiox does the dirty work for him with ten minutes left in the day. Night Four The Mafia still think that TrumpetKing67 is the Vigilante and decided not to kill on Night Three (even though the reason for killing JaseTJ on Night Two was... that they thought he was the Vigilante). They’re killing Stormblessed tonight as they feel he was on the right track with his analysis. konze investigates Scorpiox, a Townie. Day Five The remaining players are finally starting to analyse voting patterns. TrumpetKing67 concludes that DarthPotato and Superficial Username were the ones that pulled their votes off of zakura, but then quickly jumps to suspect konze again. konze apparently contacts the players he investigated and ‘cleared’. Unfortunately for the Town that includes DarthPotato, the Godfather. This way, DarthPotato knows that of the players left only Superficial Username and Ferrik are unconfirmed. He now has the choice between trying to get the others to lynch Ferrik and win by killing another Townie the following night or sacrifice Superficial Username and let it go to Day Six. He quickly decides, essentially without discussing it with his teammate, to let Superficial Username get lynched. After TrumpetKing67 opens the vote, DarthPotato quickly adds his vote as well. With Superficial Username lynched, this means he has to succesfully kill konze tonight, or konze would be able to confirm Ferrik. The only way DarthPotato can lose is if the remaining Townies look critically at the voting patterns (especially the Day Two vote) and conclude that he’s the Godfather. The Mafia don’t know the Vigilante killed the Doctor on Night One, so it’s surprising to see that DarthPotato doesn’t seem to consider the possibility the Cop will get protected on Night Five after he outed himself. In deciding on their kills, the Mafia have never considered the possibility of their target being protected. It could become an interesting Day Six as the remaining Townies should notice that the Cop was killed after he outed himself to a group of ‘confirmed Townies’. Will they lynch the only unconfirmed player left or will they conclude it’s one of the investigated players who killed the Cop? konze probably shouldn’t have let everyone know exactly who he investigated as the Godfather can now base his strategy on the investigation results. It is surprising that neither he, nor any of his contacts, consider the possibility of a Godfather. Night Five The Night Actions are no surprise as DarthPotato has to kill konze to prevent him from confirming Ferrik. Day Six The remaining Townies are blindly relying on konze’s investigation results and lynch Ferrik as soon as voting opens. There is no discussion about it, and it seems nobody is even willing to listen to what he has to say. They are all so sure, but unfortunately that will make it a bigger disappointment to them in the conclusion. Night Six It goes to Night Six, but all DarthPotato has to do is send in his kill, which he does. He picks Scorpiox and spares him from a rooftop showdown. -
There had been a bit of a commotion in the cells. After the premature squishing of Jared, Randy and Poppy had wandered off, forgetting to lock the cells. The remaining Stationers had begun to argue between themselves, and a couple had run off into the station. Phil, however, happy in the knowledge he had helped convict the last scum, also made his way out of the cells, in search of some coffee. And possibly some cake. "What the deuce!?" Phil exclaims on rounding the corner to be confronted by the lightsaber killer. "Hello Phil" replies the dark figure "I've been waiting for you" And in a flash the figure moves behind Phil, swinging its lightsaber... ...a swift swoosh of which separates a confused and disgruntled Phil (Town) from his mortal coil. "Checkmate" says the dark figure simply, as it strides off into the night. Meanwhile, elsewhere in the station another dark figure is looking for somewhere to hide, or somewhere to escape... ...but our lightsaber wielding dark figure is now searching very hard for them... One dark figure follows another onto the roof (after all, what is a good detective thriller without a rooftop showdown at the end?), the latter screaming slightly... ...and the predatory dark figure pulls out its lightsaber, advancing on its prey... ...who turns out to be a very scared Isaac. "No, please, no!" Isaac retreats from the swishing lightsaber blade But Samantha keeps advancing, keeps swishing. Until, in his eagerness to get away, Isaac stumbles backwards onto the large glass skylights, which do not, unfortunately, support even his light frame. The glass cracks and Isaac falls down, down, down. Eventually a sickening 'thud' is heard. Isaac (Town) is mush, and very much dead. "Whooooooo hoooooo!" screams Samantha, swinging her lightsaber around "Whoa yeah baby! I got them aaaaaaaall! Whoop! Whoop!" "Turn around slowly" says Poppy quietly, clicking the safety catch of her gun "It.. it's you!" stutters Samantha "You're..." "Yes" says Randy, as he and Poppy lower their guns "we are." "We have been all along" says Poppy Samantha drops to her knees "Did I do ok?" she asks "Did I do it right?" "Yes" replies Randy with a wink "you did just fine" "The station's yours now" calls Poppy, as she and Randy walk off "do with it... as you see fit" "Wow, yays, thank you!" cheers Samantha (Mafia) as she whoops some more. As dawn breaks, all four members of the Kirksville Mafia, through some act of resurrection devilry (or bad continuity) wave goodbye cheerily, as Randy and Poppy depart for pastures new. The Mafia will run the Police Station now, under the leadership of Godfather Samantha, now known as Chief Inspector Samantha. ~~~~~ "Can we stop for ice cream?" asks Randy as Poppy begins to pull off "Sure thing, honey" replies Poppy as she floors the accelerator Congratulations to the Mafia! Winners! Zachary (zakura), Phyllis (Superficial Username), Samantha (DarthPotato) - sole survivor, and Amelia (TheBoyWonder). Player appraisal, game notes, lists of night actions and so forth will follow and we'll index them here in the first post. Anyone may post in this topic, and players please feel free to post your role PMs from us. We'd like to say a massive thank you to all the players for making this a really fun game for us to host. We've had an absolute blast, and we hope you have too.

Mafia School: Police Infiltration - Day Six

Day Six Conclusion As expected, Poppy and Randy return to the Stationers to hear their verdict on whom they'd like interrogated "So, who's it to be then?" asks Poppy "HIM!" shout three of the Stationers, pointing at Jared "Wh.. whaaaa?" cries Jared "You'd better come out calmly Jared" says Randy, as Poppy unlocks the cell "This.. this doesn't make sense!" wails Jared "unless..." he scratches his chin momentarily "I knew it! You're all witches! Waaaaaagh!" And with that Jared runs out of the cell, preferring to face Randy and Poppy. "Just go easy on me, ok?" asks Jared "Sure, we'll be perfectly nice" replies Randy reassuringly "Yeah, well as nice as we can be during an interrogation" says Poppy shrugging "Well, phew, that's a relief, I'm just glad to be out of that cell full of witches" says Jared, failing to look up "Squelch" is the very last sound Jared makes. Randy and Poppy just sigh together.- 12 replies

I was hoping to hear something from Stemid (or even Erik for that matter) that might be useful tomorrow, however this is my last opportunity to vote. I vote: Stemid the Pale (Sandy) for the reasons I have already stated, and in agreement with other concerns that have been brought to light. In addition, you comment on day one (which is a bugger to try to link to) where you replied to Jormund (who we know now to be scummy) saying: "You should not worry your head with such moral issues, my friend. There is absolutely no way for us loyal Einherjar to know who's Loki's Servant at this point, so nobody can be held accountable for a wrong lynch on this first day of our fiest." which in addition to everything else people have mentioned, stinks. It's a scummy point of view, especially saying that to someone who is now confirmed scum.

Day Six Interlude Randy and Poppy return to the Stationers to see how they're all getting along. "How are we all?" asks Randy "Having useful conversations about what's going on, and who you think we might interrogate?" asks Poppy Nobody is saying anything. Everyone is just staring at the walls or the bars. If someone had a harmonica, they'd be playing it. "You're not even going to comment on the fact that we're still wearing pyjamas?" asks Randy The Stationers just turn and stare. As one, they shrug. "Well, they seem to have made some sort of decision, somehow" says Poppy "Well, I guess we let them get on with it and vote then" says Randy You may now vote. With 4 players remaining, 3 votes are required for a lynch.- 12 replies

I'm really quite concerned at the lack of discussion and reaction occurring here. Erik, your explanations are... reasonable, but not wholly reassuring at all. You need to understand that we need more from you than just a quick look at voting patterns and who you think is quiet. We can all see the voting patterns and can all see who's quiet, so I'd really like much more opinion from you on what you think is going on. Hervi clearly left a mess of lies and half-truths for us to wade through, so while you may not (or may?) have information from behind the scenes, you can still give us your opinion. Stemid, while I appreciate your earlier stated confidence in me, I would agree with those who have called you confusing and unhelpful. Frankly, I believe you should know to behave better and more analytically, and in fact you've been so obviously jokey and obtuse that I wonder to myself if you somehow want to get lynched. I'm getting to the point though where I still think we might be better off without you. So I would like to hear from you too. I will be around later to vote, one way or another.

Mafia School: Police Infiltration - Day Six
Pandora posted a topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Night falls predictably; as predictably as night following.. yeah, anyway, Christine is finding it difficult to sleep, so she's busying herself in the canteen. "I have always found it easier to communicate through pastry" she mutters to herself "so I hope that once more these brave police folks will enjoy my delicious cherry-death cake" "Yumm" says the dark, dark figure that has snuck up behind her, lightsaber raised "I'll have that... once you're DEAD! Ahahahaha!" And Christine's head is severed clean from her body before she can even utter a word; blood spatters all around, defiling the delicacy. "Muahahaha!" and "omnomnom" chuckles the sinister figure as it runs off, taking the cake with it, blood and all. ~~~~~~~~~~ Later that night, Randy and Poppy find Christine's body in their usual sweep of the station, and pick her up to carry off for further examination. "Oooooh, cherries!" and Randy can't control himself in the taking of his favourite fruit With a little bit of huffing and puffing, Poppy and Randy also manage to somehow carry away the dead crocodile containing Phyllis. Amazingly, all three manage to fit in the elevator and make it down to the ground floor. No, really. As Poppy drags the dead croc out by its tail, Randy takes to munching on his pilfered cherries and making his phonecall.. "So, yeah, pick up, same place and same time" he says "Tell them to find a vet" calls Poppy "you know, for the crocodile" "Oh, yeah, one of them is sort of inside a crocodile... don't ask..." more muttering issues from the phone "I said don't ask!" and Randy finishes his call exasperatedly ~~~~~~~~~~ The next morning the Stationers wake up to a bit of a surprise. "If you're wondering why we're still in our pyjamas, it's because we've been up all night" says Poppy "Actually, no, that wasn't the surprise" shouts a Stationer "Yeah, actually the surprise was waking up here, in the cells" shouts another, somewhat peeved "Well, that's sort of related" says Randy "we were up all night putting you in the cells, hence the pyjamas" "Answer us!" the Stationers shout "Why have you locked us up??" "Ohh" say Randy and Poppy in chorus "Well, firstly you should know that Phyllis, once they got her out of the crocodile, was indeed a member of the Mafia" says Randy "So??" cry the Stationers "why lock us up?" "And secondly" continues Poppy "Christine was murdered last night, and she was a member of the Town" "Quite simply, there are few enough of you to fit in there now, and we don't really want some sort of crazed killer running around the station at night when we have better things to do" says Randy Poppy raises her gun in warning "I suggest you get talking..." she says "..and while you do, we need to go and rest a while. We'll come back and check on you in a bit." The remaining Stationers have no choice but to confront each other directly. The Rules Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Town or the Mafia. To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Mafia, while the Mafia needs to outnumber the Town. Third-Party (neutral) characters, if any, have their own win conditions as outlined in their roles. Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. A majority vote is required to lynch a player. A game day will last a maximum of 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The day will end when a majority vote has been reached. After the day has concluded, a night stage will commence, which will usually last a maximum of 48 hours. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 24 hours of the night stage. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to or from you in PM with the game host. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage. Also, you may not quote PMs from other players. Paraphrasing is allowed but no direct quoting. Please refrain from quoting PMs in the game threads and in private. Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread; you must always play the role given to you. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on. You may not edit your posts. You must post in every day thread. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the hosts via PM. Erik, I would agree with Dragmall here that you have been unusually quiet. I've even gone back and looked at what you have had to say, and it didn't take too long. You have seemed quite keen to defend yourself at the merest hint of suspicion cast upon you, so now is your time. Bergulf was a useful patsy for the scum in so many ways, are you scum still using him as such? Way back on day two, you raised some suspicions, how have your views evolved? You didn't exactly give any reasons at all for your suspicions, so I'd like to hear your views on why you found them suspicious then and how you feel about them now (with the exception of Chief Mursi, who we obviously know now to be Einherjar).

Mafia School: Police Infiltration - Day Five

Day Five Conclusion Poppy and Randy are summoned early in the day to hear who's been chosen for interrogation that day. "It's Phyllis! Get her!" shouts someone "You're toast, scum!" shouts someone else "Well" says Poppy "it would seem we have a decision early today" "Yup" says Randy "time for interrogation Phyl... huh?" "Oh bum" says Poppy "the crocodile got out." "Waaah" and "Aaaargh" scream the Stationers The crocodile, however, is a rather hungry crocodile, and starts to dine on the nearest Stationer, who just coincidentally happens to be Phyllis. "Eeeeeeek!" cries Phyllis as she begins to be digested. "Oh dear" says Randy "another one I can't interrogate." Unfortunately, this is a very hungry crocodile, and he continues to advance into the room. "Just try it, you overgrown handbag!" and with that Poppy shoots the advancing crocodile dead. "I suggest you all get some rest" says Randy coolly "and we'll see what the morning brings us." -

"Not that you asked, but I did once battle an entire house full of evil furniture - chairs, beds, all sorts. I'm fairly proficient at furniture slaying myself. " -
I agree that Finn's roleclaim seems odd, however it is not without the bounds of possibility. He is essentially a back-up role, and that's certainly nowhere nearly as unusual as the potential asctic role that is rumoured to be around. I think it would have been considerably more difficult for Finn to find the investigator if Bergulf hadn't drawn so much attention to himself on day one and then gone and claimed to a leaky scum. I can follow the logic of how Finn would have known that Bergulf was the investigator. I believe that is what he's claiming, and in fact has already claimed. I believe this isn't the case because, as Dragmall has already said, the watcher didn't actually watch Bergulf that night. I went back to check; yes almost the entirety of the day was spent with Hervi and Dragmall arguing, but Finn actually called out Gerrid before all that started. It does seem odd to me that a scum would accuse one of their own just in case things didn't work out that day, why not accuse a townie? I believe Hervi took advantage of Gerrid's accusation, plus there are indications that privately Gofraid was also suspicious of Gerrid, so Hervi would presumably had to side with Gofraid to maintain cover. It would have been much easier for Hervi to lynch a townie if Finn hadn't already raised Gerrid as a suspect, and he could have waited for Gofraid to raise his own suspicions publicly. Why report it had been changed at all? Why not just say he was disoriented in the first place? It fits with the odd 'woozy' feeling the protector experienced when protecting me night one. It is entirely possible that his/her protection didn't work as a result, given that the two kills we're accustomed to both happened that night, implying I wasn't a night kill target.

"Huh, well everyone seems to have rummaged through almost everything" Nyx examines the bedroll, picking it up so that no-one can steal it. "I really think it's a bit rude to be stealing from Mortimer. I guess if he's dead he won't need it, but if I see him again, I'll give this bedroll back to him." Nyx then looks at the flames on the bookcase, and moves both bookcases to see if there are marks on the front or back. She also closely examines the block of wood with the elaborate motif on the ground in front of the coffee table. Having examined the bookcases, she makes sure they're back where they should be and rights the chairs, also examining them for the last digit. -
First off, unlike Stemid, I'm completely unsurprised Hervi was scummy scum scum, considering I've been saying that in private and public since day one. I'm very relieved we lynched him, especially after day two when it looked like it might not happen, and he'd squirm and charm his way out of it. But he's dead, yay! Another big 'well done' to the broadsword killer, fantastic work, just fantastic. I'm also unfortunately unsurprised that Bergulf was both killed and came up town. I was saying yesterday he was scummy, but in private towards the end of yesterday I shared my theory that he was town and was kept alive to be manipulated by Hervi and co. My theory centred around the wooziness and his mode of investigation. It would make sense for Hervi, acting as the kindly mentor, to coach Bergulf (I still believe that happened, not that it matters). Bergulf's mode of investigation speaks of a framer, and so many other people have mentioned it that the possibility of framing isn't new. All Hervi had to do was keep Bergulf alive and keep framing Bergulf and he'd get opposite results, Hervi just didn't count on the wooziness side effect of framing. Anyway, sorry Bergulf, but I believed you were town after all before you died. We should, however, have enough to work with without an investigator, and we are doing incredibly well to have rid ourselves of four scum so quickly. Indeed that was one of Hervi's leaks yesterday that I alluded to. He said in the thread how Rurick and I had been going on about Artemis's playstyle. I didn't remember once bringing up the playing style of Artemis, however I had commented a lot about Bergulf's playing style. Actually, that was my theory. Fourth paragraph here. Why do you think Hervi was tailored and not that Bergulf was framed? Surely framing Bergulf would be the most efficient thing to do, as then he'd get opposite results no matter who he investigated? And it's considerably more common to have a framer than a tailor. The part of your speech that Wary quoted in that link actually suggested you were looking for confirmation of Hervi's towniness from Artemis, and had nothing to do with any meatshield theory of Dragmall's. And as I said, it rather looked like you were pushing Bergulf to come forward to say that he was. This was the theory (about framing, not about Juno) I first outlined to you in private, and when I see you post it, it rather makes me think I was right. Is Hervi still worried? This is the most sensible thing I've heard so far. There is surely no issue in identifying exactly what the scum knew? I still can't believe how much information an unconfirmed member of our group seemingly managed to amass from so many people, so let's have it helping the town now, not just the scum.
