Nah, he's just drunk. Again.

"I am?" Nyx's eyes brighten a little as she twists her mouth into a thoughtful aspect "I.. didn't ever think I was, but thank you." "Me? Oh, just.. saving the world.. " she looks serious for a moment before breaking into a smile and winking "I'm not sure about the world-saving actually, and there were a lot of us. Just a madwoman with an appetite for power. It was a salutary lesson, really. I was actually allowed to blow stuff up, which was fun..." Nyx trails off a bit as her memories swim back to the fore "and I got to pretend to be a goddess, and I saw so much, so incredibly much. I passed through a void and spoke with the old gods, and I think... ..I think.. I met my soulmate..." once more the sadness wells up inside her, and she breathes deeply to hold the tears at bay. This is ridiculous! About a man! She looks away, shrugging and drinking deeply from her drink again. "It's good to have you back, Larry. Will you sign up for a quest? There's one that offers you a title; you could add it to your collection?"
-
Nyx smiles the warmest smile since her return to the Hall. Nerwen on one side and Larry here too! And with little Barty as well! It was almost too much to stop the tears from just flowing, but this time with so much more hope in her heart. This was why she came to the Hall, the true friends. They had no idea how much they helped, how grateful she was. The dreadful cold feeling of abandonment was now overshadowed with warm friendship. The only way she could repay them was with friendship too. The pain was still there, but so much better. "No, no slaying required Larry. It's all... it's just a load of silliness, really. You know I've always been a slave to my emotions." she looks at him again, trying to keep the teardrops at bay, ashamed to explain. She turns to accept her drink, closing her eyes and drawing on the ridiculous straw. She looks up at him again, controlling herself. "Where have you been? What great and noble deeds have you been accomplishing this time, old man?" she tries a laugh at the end, some of which is actually genuine.

Harriet Slutter Mafia sign-ups
Pandora replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Your past Mafia experience Available in glorious technicolour on my profile. Your ability to focus on the game over the next 32 days The whole time? Really? Every single day? Ok. Will you be able to keep up with 20 hour NA deadlines? I've been able to so far, so let's hope so. Your favorite Mafia moment Is it wrong of me to say Steampunk? Well it's still my favourite, whether that's wrong or not, and I'm sure I don't have to specify which bit(s). Tell me why you think Vanilla Townies are important or how they are most useful They are the Town. Without them the scum can steamroll to victory, and the Town power roles have no back-up with their actions. The should have no fear of stepping forward and rooting out the scum in the day threads and should consider their vote the most powerful weapon of the Town. (6 steps in a Mafia application?) Give me your word that you'll participate in whatever crazy concoction I've doctored to avoid the meta-gaming. It will take everyone's cooperation and to operate on their honor. I have no honour, but I'll say I will if it'll make you happy.- 74 replies

As Nyx hears the familiar voice, her head spins round, wide-eyed and soulful. For a moment it looks like she's struggling to speak, but then seems to give up before standing up and flinging her arms around the very surprised old 'king'. She just holds him tightly, eyes screwed up, but small, silent tears still managing to escape. She doesn't sob, she doesn't wail. She makes no noise, before seeming to realise her surroundings and letting go, running her fingers under her eyes as she moves back. She gathers herself, aware of the spectacle she's making, and forces a weak smile. "Larry.." she almost breathes. A long pause. "Yes. Yes, please. I'd love a drink, thank you. Choose anything." and her smile seems warmer as she leans in to lightly peck him him the cheek. "It's really good to have you back."

3. LuxorV - 1 point - I never thought I'd see a FABU mecha. I have now, and it was definitely worth it! 5. Quarryman - 3 points - really fantastic FABULAND version of Western, complete with a lovely stagecoach. Those smooth curves are just fantastic, and the colour scheme is great, along with the badassiest pair of no-good outlaws FABULAND has ever seen. Yes sirree. 6. Cecile - 1 point - loving that roof, and the frog flower, and the lily pads, and a whole lot of other things...- 53 replies

There are loads of great builds here, so a huge congratulations to everyone. My votes: 7. Rick - 3 points - just a gorgeously balanced colour scheme and a beautiful shape, packed with Fabuland details, playfeatures and a great story. 2. Cecilie - 1 point - a great adaptation of the trike, showing real originality. 11. KartoffelViking - 1 point - the shape is just lovely, and it's really like a modern take on FABULAND.

The Friends High Res pictures just keep coming! We have a massive amount of fantastic pictures of the Summer Wave of Friends sets in the Friends Discussion thread in the Town Forum, including the hugely anticipated 41005 Heartlake High and 41015 Dolphin Cruiser! Thanks to Aanchir for the great find!

Thank you so much for finding these Aanchir. I've put smaller versions of the pictures themselves in the first post, but included links to the original 4000 wide pictures.

Nyx turns, glassy eyed to Nerwen. She breathes a little before answering, as if trying to contain herself and almost manages to adopt a casual air. "No, the quest itself wasn't difficult. Just a bunch of crazy people trying to destroy the world. Yet again. We killed them. Some very good people died, but people die in battle, and the fight was necessary." Nyx shivers slightly as Haldor mentions 'some bloke', and she feels her heart swell in her chest, not with joy, but with pain. "Yeah, some bloke" she mutters. She closes her eyes briefly and swallows, before smiling back at Nerwen. "Nerwen, it is good to see you, I have missed your company greatly. You seem stronger, much stronger. It seems you, like I, have combined your magics with a greater force. Do I sense a hint of Barbarian about you now?"

Eurobricks Mafia II: Mafia School: Conclusion
Pandora replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I agree that Walter should be praised for his defense, and it was the PMs I received from him after we failed to convert him that quelled some of the suspicion (but by no means all). The reason you were voted mayor? Dave decided to vote for you, again without discussing it with the rest of the Masons first, and people knew he was a Mason and so followed suit. The rest of the Masons wanted Dave to be mayor and already did find you scummy, but he felt it put him at greater risk as he was also the tracker and chose you, and acted accordingly, because he thought you were town. Sorry to snitch on you Dave, but I think this is an issue that needs to be cleared up.- 85 replies
