  1. I got another 9489, few hours before the 2015 wave was revealed. Boy, was I happy when I saw what stormtroopers we were offered in ITT!
  2. Agree with Mr Man. I am a HUGE fan of Venator, but that thing, proportion-wise, is an abomination. However, for 70 euros it's a steal, and if it's MISB, you should definitely go for it, it has plenty of very useful parts.
  3. Welcome to Eurobricks The-Nexu! This is really an interesting thinking, I quite like the reasoning. And I do hope that you are right abount bantha! But thinking again, there's no way TLG would do a new mold for Tusken just to put one figure in one 30$ set, so, yes I do believe that Tusken Attack is pending for the very near future! And these stormtroopers are sad indeed
  4. Really nice job! You've perfectly captured the spirit of Mos Eisley!
  5. Well, you'll agree that's mostly the matter of opinion I for one, think that this miscreation they call a stormtrooper in Rebels is something straight out of Dali's painting... And I would spot that "mouth" from a mile's distance. But that said, I was never a role model for someone "in his right mind", so who knows, perhaps you are right...
  6. No, not really, that's the point. I was really thinking: Ok, I hated the guts of 2014 winter wave (except the DS gunners), now I like (almost) everything! If TLG put 75055 ISD stormtroopers in ITT, I would have ruined myself to build an army of these. I thought 2 BPs of Shadow Troopers, Geonosians, AT-DP (if the stormie was real) and a Vulture droid. Now it's just the Geonosians and I might get the Shadow troopers and then quickly mod the Imerial Guards weapons... + I'm still hesitating between the big Vulture droid and the chibi one.
  7. Hahaha, this is ridiculous! No offense just2good, fantasting job with providing us with these, many thanks! But ONCE AGAIN, I was right and should have more believed in my instincts. TLG never misses to ruin a set with outstanding potential. Call it spite, call it policy, call it whatever but the simple fact of the matter is: TLG doesn't give a womp rat's (the real one, not the Jerry they put in T-16 set) f**t what their loyal fan base wants. Boy, oh boy, when I think how afraid I was this wave was going to ruin me, what a silly thinking... So let's start: 1) Shadow troopers: Are these brooms the badass black Imperial Guards are holding? Monoculars? I mean people might fall like flies from the sheer amount of intimidation. Of laughter. The normal stormtroopers are nice, they are just the wrong color. 2) ITT: Can we just skip the set that made me 120€ in economies? I am little to sensitive to talk right now. 3) Geonosian troopers: Only 15€ spent on this wave. Perhaps 30€. 4) Senate Commandos: Hahahaha, ok Lego, this is not even China level. Next. Btw, I'd like to hear TCW figures basher or two... 5) Ezra's speeder bike: I was going to pass on that anyway, but was curious about Sabine. Fail. 6) T-16: Meet Jerry's little cousin in galaxy far, far away. It really takes a spaceship to kill one of these. But, to moderate a rant: Tusken is an instant BL. Although I might wait, they'll *probably* release a Tusken attack set soon enough. 7) AAT: Decent execution, but then again, I'd rather take my blue CW ones any time of the day... 8) Very nice set, nice minifigs, but not appealing enough and ridiculously priced. 9) Battle Droid Troop Carrier: Well, this is a nice surprise, a true army builder for the Seppies, shame that battle droids are ridiculously cheap off BL anyway, so pass... 10) AT-DP: Dali strormtrooper with somewhat overly cheerful Agent Kallus and a god-awful whatever trooper that is, so pass. Although, credit where it's due, very good looking vehicle. 11) Indian Jones gunship: It is a fantastic set but sadly its negative power coupling got scre*ed and it accidentaly burst into a SW studio from Egypt filming of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. 12) Chibis: Decent spare parts as usual, I *might* even fetch the Vulture droid. All in all, I'm off the hook. I might finally be able to save enough and buy Imperial Shuttle off BL, these babies are now hitting 400+ prices and I missed out on it Edit: So, I'm so glad I took anothe 9489 Endor Rebel Trooper BP today with a real stormtrooper... Edit 2: Let's see the redemption potential of this wave: I'm still missing Asajj Ventress minifig and a hailfire droid...
  8. I already mentioned this wrt Slave I release date in the dedicated thread, but figured this would be a good place for it as well: I am just confused at why did TLG shift the two UCS a year policy I can't say I am overly happy with that fact. GIve people a choice. I am not a huge fan of the Sandcrawler but I would love to get Slave I (not really, just making a point). At this rate, maybe, just maybe, TLG will release another UCS before the Ep. VII hits the screens and I was really hoping they would do the bloody AT-AT UCS before we are submerged in new merchandise. This way, I have perhaps a single shot at it. Either they do it or I won't see it for 5 years to come The release date is a very dissapointing news, at least for me.

When it comes to the ship itself, well, everything I already said: awsome box art, awsome minifugures and beautifully executed iron. But still an iron nonetheless.
  10. Insane! Thank you so much for such informative WIP presentation. Do you happen to have higher res pics of the build phases? And if you don't mind me asking: in which country were situated the BL shops that have such huge brick quantities (you mentioned you only ordered from a few, right?) and what is the approx. cost of the project?
  11. I particularly like how you did Obi-Wan's cloak! How did you achieve that, you took two brown capes and put them together on left and right??
  12. Ewok Village? Went for 249€, then few months later surprise! 269€.
  13. I second this. Admire the Inquisitor and spare us the barrage of questions when the man said he'd post the photos during the day. You'll see for yourself. Now, to my post: I am surprised at the Slave I size, I expected it to be slightly smaller. I am not a great fan of the ship, though I must admit it is very well executed. I don't believe I'd be getting it, but heck, perhaps seeing it live will sway me. As per the rumors of DS-sized set, this gets nowhere near. This is equivalent in pieces to Ewok VIllage, way to go before it reaches DS 3803 (was it?) pieces. Let alone go further than that. *sigh* MF *sigh*. And when it comes to the "inquisitor", I believe just2good made us a little joke by combining the shadow trooper BP (whatever the black Imperial Guards are called) and the Inquisitor. Shoulder piece, torso, legs + lightsaber handle = inquisitor (perhaps head's backprint) and the rest is Shadow Guards. Edit: Hey, my 200th post
  14. OK, this is another register entirely I am just wondering how long did it take you to build this and how many bricks you think went in there? Edit: Sorry, that's answered, no time to read apparently Well, respect to you, wonderful job!
  15. Fantastic diorama! I love the great SNOT work and these beams! I second the question about the doors, do they open?
  16. I got it three weeks ago from my wife Robianco. Build it if you can afford it. Build isn't that fun as DS, but it blows the latter out of the water by the sheer awesomeness as a display piece! It is sooo imposing... Honestly, I can't stop staring at it. Last thing you'd be thinking is the flat bottom.
  17. A fool's hope, I know, yet I join the ranks... Who knows, maybe they had a moment of enlightment lately?
  18. Hey guys, I might join as well. Ashamed to say, but I didn't know about this event before, thanks for sharing the info. As I live in the Netherlands now, I might drop by!
  19. Hey, some politeness and respect can go a long way. just2good is not obliged in any way to share these and I think we can all agree it's very nice of him sharing these at all before TLG official release. I believe you should show some appreciation and practice adult conversation while at it.
  20. Just because of me and 80% of this forum, but don't mind us, we are here to applaud... If these stormies make millions to TLG the other ones would then probably make billions by that logic. That's approximately the ratio of OT fans to Rebels' ones... I mean it's a rather simple math: I am an AFOL and a collector. Which means that for an OT army buiding set, I'd probably go and buy around 10 of these, perhaps more (no more, I couldn't afford it, what with divorce fees and such... ). And I am going to buy 0 of Rebels-based stormies because, well . Now, on the other hand, no parent would buy to their kid more than 1, perhaps 2 Rebels stormies' set(s). But the point is that they would ALSO buy them OT-stormies, because kids are way less susceptible to make and mind the difference. And now, as I want to believe that TLG is a company where some people are really, really good in math, there is only one explanation: we are not getting OT stormies because TLG doesn't want people to army-build as part of a wider policy. To what end, I guess time will tell...
  21. Just hand it to TLG to ruin the perfect opportunity on cashing in bigtime on the stormies. They wouldn't be able to produce enough to cover the demand if they released the OT ones after what 6 years since the last BP? But then again, it's exactly as I anicipated, they rarely miss out on a perfect opportunity to ruin a set with gigantic potential. Shame.
  22. Took two Tie Interceptors microfighters today while they are still 20% off in the Netherlands. Also took some bulk bricks.
  23. Well, I never contradicted that. But you can have products on the shelves if you release them on December 18th. This way you still don't hurt the sales of your previous wave, and you don't overhaul your complete Ops (that costs money too...) Anyway, not to perpetuate this ad nauseam, let's wait and see, rendez-vous in a year's time... I'll gladly admit I was mistaken if there's an October wave or if half of the summer wave bears on Ep. VII (the latter we'll know in around six months time...).
  24. Well, suppose you guys are right. The only way TLG would then cash on the hype is by releasing some Ep. VII sets in summer wave. What you guys fail to understand is that a company, whatever company, is not adapting its Operations dpt and production line to a product. However hyped the product may be. So, there will be no wave in October, November, of that you can be sure. If they release Ep. VII in August/September they would be missing on potential other sales (what kid is going to REALLY want the Ghost when they don't know wth it is?? Same goes for obscure Z95/ X-wing hybrids 4 months ahead of the story). On the other hand if they release Bespin, Senate-based sets, it's instant recognition = sales. My point is that they will cash in on Ep. VII, bigtime, whenever they release these sets. The hype will make sure you don't need it to be a Christmas present.
  25. I seriously don't get what are you fussing about guys. "Afford", the movie goes out 18 December, in case TLG wants to cash-in on the holiday season, they'll release the Winter wave 2016 in December. I can't see why we need the three waves years, fall releases and other exoticisms... Quite frankly what they did for Rebels is ridiculous, release sets full three months before the show hits TV, with virtually zero publicity outside of hardcore circles. Remember 2008? TCW posters were in metros, billboards, everywhere... And yet even then I found silly that the sets were out a month before the movie hit the theaters. To sum up, if TLG releases WW2016 in time for CHristmas season, they are completely shooting the summer wave 2015 in the leg in terms of sales. My bet is, they'll release the Winter wave 2016 on 18th December earliest. That way, most Christmas shopping would already be done. They wouldn't miss on a thing if they were to release it in January either, the main hype is anyway going to be in January, during school holidays etc...
