Werewolf Mafia Confirmation & Discussion thread
Shadows replied to JimBee's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm sure this place has some kind of creepy basement full of scientific equipment for just such an occasion. -
I'd like to point and laugh at the little idiot. Kids... Sure, let's all check our mailboxes. As for the unoccupied apartment, I don't really know anything about it. I can't even remember who lived there previously.

Werewolf Mafia Confirmation & Discussion thread

The stupid ones, perhaps. -
Given the pace of the discussion, I shall cast my vote for now. Should anything emerge that changes things, I'm still open to following that new information, but at this point I doubt it. In the case of Mr. Sokern, he clearly defended a werewolf vigorously. Since it was day 1 and there was no legitimate way for him to know the allegiance of anyone without actually being part of their group, I believe we have three possibilities. Werewolf. Neutral who doesn't care which side is victorious. Idiot. All of those are dangerous. Vote: Adam Sokern (sok117) I will say that Charles Synclair has left me very suspicious as well, for much the same reasons.

It's so unfair, we manage to do everything we can and with our success comes a terrible failure and loss. The revelation of a pickaxe murderer leaves me confused as to their specific disorder, but whatever they are they can count on one thing... we'll find you and when we do, you're dead. Count on it. Seems you're looking in the same direction I am, so I think that bears repeating.
-
While I know it's a waste of time, I am more than willing to invite all of you to my home. Please feel free to look around, but under no circumstances may you enter the basement! Absolutely none! That's where I keep... my secrets! I'm kidding, you know, come on over and look around, it'll be fun and I'll make cookies.

I say, does anyone know where I could find an ATM nearby, I think I need some cash.

You know, I feel pretty good about our efforts today. I have no idea if we're right or not, but we've clearly tried to come together and use what little we have to make a logical decision. However it turns out, I hope we can continue that kind of cooperation in the future. At the same time, I'd like to make some last minute suggestions before nightfall... People who can protect: protect people who look like they need it. I know that sounds obvious, but it bears reminding. People who can investigate: look over the day and spot the ones who objected or tried to redirect too much. If we end up right in our suspicions, it will give us a place to go tomorrow. If not, it clears someone. Beyond that, I can't really guess what some of you are capable of, but use your abilities carefully and wisely and we should be able to put a leash on these foul beasts before they kill anyone else.
-
It's been mentioned, I'm pretty sure I did at least once (which means someone else had first or I wouldn't have said it), and I know that privately it's been discussed so anyone could know that by now. Including you, of course.
-
I'm not even really accusing, I'm just taking the little indication we have so far to try for something logical. God has threatened us if we fail to vote and I don't really want to piss him off so soon. Like I say, if someone has anything better, please present it, but day 1 is always the same, a guessing game based on appearances. It's just the way it is. Oh, you're one of those.

The 'evidence', such as it is, is fairly slim, but sometimes the truth comes in vague packages. For now... Vote: Zed Phillips (Zepher) Should a better lead or suspicion come along, I'll be more than happy to follow it and change this. Why is that? Do you have some special knowledge you could perhaps convey to me via a trusty pigeon message? Don't forget to kick it. As for multiple factions, we already have Count Baron von Vampirepants and the werewolves. I certainly hope there aren't more, but it wouldn't surprise me. Keep your eyes open for people who don't have the best interests of the village at heart, or who seem to throw suspicion in many directions at once, they're usually acting independently of the town and can't be trusted. And they get the host killed, but that's a minor problem not to be worried about.
-
Well, this is starting off as quite the rousing party with sausages and sluts at the vampire house, thanks for giving us such a warm welcome CountBaronvonVampirepants. As for the werewolves... why don't we just make a bunch of silver bullets and shoot everyone in the arm until one of them dies? It seems so simple and being a proper gentleman, I'll even offer to go last.

Werewolf Mafia Confirmation & Discussion thread
Shadows replied to JimBee's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hello all, I'm Sebastien Vaughn, the rich and handsome wearer of fine hats and doer of not particularly much. I'm what you might call the idle rich, I don't like having to exert myself much unless you're a damsel in distress or especially without a dress (trust me, it's an amusing pun given my dashing accent). So, werewolves. Bugger. I need a good distraction. Or even a fair one. *passes Harriet a buck* -
That's just so crazy it might work!

And you're a girl. So... whatcha doing later tonight? -
I won your game, so clearly it was fine, I'm talking about all those other ones where I didn't. Actually, your use of the ghost was horribly unbalanced and almost gave the game to another damn neutral who was able to abuse that imbalance. So even with as well as you did, there was still that, I just don't complain about it for the aforementioned qualifier (I won). Problem is that most hosts can't handle a complicated game on their first go. Trying might seem like living your dream, but it usually turns out to be a nightmare for both the host and players. Don't make me give examples. I got you converted to scum in one, and I was ... a damn neutral. It's been pretty close ... We'll be sure to vote for you on day one next time. At least you won't defend yourself by claiming it's a dangerous decision.
-
And then there are tantrums and rantfests and people get new titles, like @Dragonator... Seriously people, keep it simple until you've hosted a few games and played a lot more. It can be challenging to host, especially your first game. Don't make a fool out of yourself and piss everyone off by trying to do something incredibly original with the rules and setup. Make the setting and story the focus and let the game play naturally.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - The Conclusion

It's cool to watch you grow and mature like that. It's a lot nicer than your Witch Hunt fit. -
Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - The Conclusion

No, you actually said it after the game was running as well and I made a joke like "oh yeah, no neutrals at all or I'll kill the host". I do keep logs, so I can guarantee this. I also complained about it to you when I found out. -

That's one of the screwed up parts. The wording didn't help the independents at all, and they didn't need help, we just had to survive. That's where attempting to supposedly balance a game actually causes the opposite result. Plus calling us independents screwed it up further since you had claimed there would be no neutrals. That left those who knew that to believe we had to all be bad accordingly, and they did believe it, even more than with normal neutrals. -
Looks like a potentially howlingly good time, count me in! So... how do you feel about neutrals?

Replaced by Henry? It's like having your apprentice turn on you using the powers you helped them discover... I knew you still loved me. Seriously people... proxying all of your votes to DRAGONATOR? Are you nuts? -
Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - The Conclusion
Shadows replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
At least you admit that there were neutrals. As for being aligned, I wasn't, I've read it 10 times. I was neutral and had to survive. Nothing more, nothing less. It's kind of the meaning of neutral. I would have if Stash or Hinck had said "hey, we found our you're sane" prior to starting the call for my death. If you actually read that day, I did say that I was insane, just differently so, which I think was a fair analysis of the vague information given. I laid out my entire role, but from what I've been told, there was some confusion behind the scenes that had nothing to do with me. So that's that. I'm just pissed that there were neutrals and you know why, anything else is just you arguing the wrong point. -

If you ever join the staff, feel free to megabluck anywhere you want, until then, megabluck off for you. Seriously, no more circumventing the posting policy. As for my role, I'll love to see you try to wiggle out of what everyone knows was a neutral role, exactly the same as any neutral role in any other game ever. Don't say nice things now. -

And I threatened any future hosts who pulled something like that ... and here we are again.
