  1. I would say that's a reasonable count, assuming they aren't 1.44 posts of crap a day.
  2. Well, that was a lot of excitement. And stuff. Hellooooo nurse, er, lifeguard. Ok, seriously, I've got nothing here, you people talk too much and I haven't had time to read absorb it all. I'll go wherever you think is best for now.
  3. No, even I can't touch that one...
  4. The FBI is parked outside his house, he must be bad! Are you so sure now?
  5. No, I don't think so. We're a LEGO forum, not an online silent auction where you can tell each person who writes a different price until you get one you like. That isn't how we like to see our members dealt with, it opens too many dangerous possibilities. Post prices or expect this to be closed.
  6. Are you crazy? We've got a good lead here... Let's break down the door!
  7. A word from the Staff about posting Recently, we've noticed a rash of odd posting habits that detract from the overall Eurobricks experience, so I'd like to take this moment to remind some of you of the basic posting standards that we look for. Sentences begin with a capital letter and end with some form of punctuation. Sentences are separated by a space, or placed on separate lines when starting a new paragraph. Making lots of short posts may increase your post count, but they also increase your chances of being asked to leave the site. If you have something meaningful to add to a conversation, it will probably consist of more than one sentence. And those sentences will be separated by a space. Or a line. It isn't always necessary to start a new thread. Go to the appropriate subforum or theme and look around. You will probably find that there is already a thread about your topic, or one very close that you could add your comment to. Each theme forum includes a thread discussing the new sets for the year, so if you want to comment on one of them, that's the place for it. When you reply to a post, it isn't necessary to quote the whole thing, just include the part you need to reply to, whether it be a sentence or an image. If you're quoting the entire post complete with 500 words and 10 images just to say "that's nice", don't. Finally, we want you to have fun, we sincerely do. We appreciate a good joke and make plenty of them ourselves, but if that is all you are posting, or you find yourself mostly participating in non-LEGO topics, you might want to reconsider your choice of forum, since in the end, we are a LEGO site, and it is LEGO that we are here to discuss. We don't want to spend a lot of wasted time trying to sort through spammy posting and lazy grammar, and we doubt you do either, so set a good example and hope that others will follow. Keep these things in mind and remember that as an AFOL site, we look for a certain level of maturity, and you'll do great. Thank you for your consideration. ~ The Eurobricks Staff (reposted as a topic from a former frontpage reminder)
  8. Thank you very much! Please come back often. Of course you may call me Dieter, friend. If you think about it, all of our families are from somewhere else if you go back far enough, but yes, I am German. As you may know, we hate the communists for tearing our country apart and imprisoning so many of our people in an oppressive government. I was fortunate enough to escape to find equality and opportunities here in this fine land. The rewards of my hard work stand around you in the form of the grocery of my dreams. I love a hot piece ... of pie. Of course, maybe I can help you lean back there!
  9. *watches like a hawk* No ma'am, I'm certain it isn't. While we do offer deliciously meals without all the effort of cooking them yourself, no one could measure up to the standards of a lovely housewife like you. As long as you shop in our well-stocked and modern grocery, that is. I must admit, I've heard very good things about your pie.
  10. Welcome one and all! Please feel free to look anywhere you want and order anything on the menu, it's free today. For the rest of our time together, I'll give everyone in town a 10% discount and free refills on coffee, so come back often! Seeing that this is my own place, I don't really have anything to investigate, so I'd just like to listen in on any conversations that might be occurring as I serve the coffee.

    Baby girl!

*grabs his silverware* Wait.. I thought this said "Baby grill" and I just wanted to be sure to arrive before Draggy comes along. Oh well, congrats anyway.
  12. Yeah, where are the prostitutes and cocktail waitresses? Geez, this town is boring ...
  13. If you think it matches the existing sets, build it! There are no wrong answers in this case, and if there are, people probably won't vote for them. Maybe use that as a guide.
  14. Oh, and nice banner! Hinckley make that?
  15. Hello all, I am Chef Dieter Schneider, but you know me better as Dashing Dieter, the Darling of the Dietary Delights coming to you live on WUSA radio from Dieter's Grocery, your home of gourmet delicacies since as long as I can remember. Please feel free to stop in anytime to browse our extensive collection of tasty treats and, if you're lucky, you just might run into me, giving out cooking tips and winking at the ladies. However, on a more serious note, business hasn't been as good as it used to be, and I think it's because people are afraid of those commie bastards. To defeat them, we must embrace capitalism and there's no better way than to throw an expensive dinner party full of good food and beverages bought from Dieter's! I hope to see you there, your country depends on it!
  16. Thanks, but I can't take all the credit as TLG was kind enough to provide us with the new logo. From there, it was just a matter of keeping it clean and simple so as not to detract from that. I give up. Yeah, whatever.
  17. Is it better now? I had to recache the flargulator and tweak the fnm settings a bit, but I think I got it.
  18. To hopefully clarify some of the confusion, I think they're asking people who are interested in writing stories to send what would essentially be a short resume describing their writing experience. After reviewing that information, they would then send more specific guidelines to those who they are interested in hearing from. As a result, it's important to let them know that you're interested in order to have time to process those applications, then respond to the qualified applicants in time to submit an entry prior to the closing date. That last sentence I wrote is why I won't be trying this. On the other hand, I'd love to volunteer to help them make future requests clearer as English is a tricky language full of lots of potential hazards in communication. You know where to reach me, TLG. (I'm not kidding)
  19. You may have failed to notice the rule about official LEGO parts only, so I'll mention it again. OFFICIAL LEGO PARTS ONLY. Thanks.
  20. A new rule appears:
  21. We're going BACK ... TO THE FUTURE!
  22. And now they're all fixed. I edited a post ... because I can! It was a single endquote that was missing it's /, it's amazing what that can do.
  23. Useless topic? Not quite... it provides a wonderful opportunity for old Uncle Shadows to have a word with all of you. Come, gather around the fire for a minute. In life, we are sometimes fortunate enough to obtain money with which we may do many wonderful things. Eat. Provide shelter. Buy LEGO. And when these opportunities arise, it's important that we take them without weakness or hesitation. We must grab hold of them and ride them like a wild horse, not like a kid on a dime mechanical horse outside a mythical grocery store where those might still exist. What? Oh, right, the point. STOP ASKING PEOPLE WHAT YOU SHOULD BUY YOU FEKKING MORONS! I was being so much more subtle before... I'll try again. You have money and don't know how to use it. Send it to me. Evaluate your situation. Do you have clothing and shelter? Utilities and good internet? Do you need anything important to your survival? If not... buy LEGO. Which LEGO? The thing that will be available for the least time. Need a modular? Buy the oldest one. Need minifigs, get whatever series is available before it's gone. It's so simple, and yet you come here asking time and again. We even have a whole ridiculous topic devoted to it. Use it if you must, but instead, think for yourself and don't ask stupid questions. You didn't think that "stupid questions" existed? I assure you, they do... Now move along, story time is over.
  24. You did promise I'd go out with a bang. It's kind of funny to see the noobs try to read more into it.
  25. It isn't the first time I've killed a host, though I don't usually do it until the end of the game. Well, I guess it was the end of my game.
