    LuxorV's Quad

Nice little quad there LuxorV, and good job covering the use of the completely unnecessary windscreen. It keeps me from getting to mention it. Er, I just did anyway. Oops. :-$ What he didn't show is how it transforms into a 40ft nuclear armed mech o' death and destruction. ;-) 4 Wheel On! *y*
  2. If I remember correctly, the monkey is named Gleek and appeared in the original cartoons. I was never a fan, so most of it is lost on me. I'm just hoping for nice parts and minifigs, as are a lot of you, I suspect. Same here. I kind of wish there was a "new products" or at least a "rumours and speculation" forum for this. Maybe with a big disclaimer on it mentioning that all pics and discussions are based on rumours, preliminary information, or idle speculation, and therefore shouldn't be taken too seriously, just in case. LEGO might even like it more that way.
  3. *imperialshadows runs into the studio, late and out of breath* Welcome to another exciting ... oh, screw it, you know the routine. X-O Hey look everybody, it's Starwars4J and Staudie. Let's go! *imperialshadows stumbles over to his chair, grabs a drink and tries to catch his breath* You're late. Noooo, really? :-| Yeah, look *points at his watch* Yes, I see. Why do you wear a Spongebob watch? Oh, um. :-$ Question time! Q. Why the name and the Knight sigfig? A. Well as I said in the thread about everyone's name, this was the first screen name I ever had. I made it when I was like 8 or something...Starwars should be obvious :-P The "4J" part was "for Justin". I tend to go by other names now that I'm older :-D Usually "That One Guy" or some variant thereof, but this seemed like a really nice, calm, friendly community about my favorite childhood toy, so I felt it was appropriate. For the Knight? I had no avatar, so I took a picture of some fig I made for my castle army, slapped my screen name on there, and that was that. It's not actually my sigfig, despite what hinckley wants you to believe. Q. How long have you collected lego? A. I think since I was...4? I never actually had a dark age X-D Staudie started at 4 too. Wow, that means it's like his 5th LEGO anniversary or something now! We should get the little guy a cake. Q. So your now a Admin.. How does that make ye fe- HEY! Hands OFF the red Button! A. It makes me feel like pressing the red button... PRESS IT! PRESS IT! Q. What is your favourite Set? (Say top 3) A. Hm...well in no particular order: -Cafe Corner -Lunar Launch Site (Spyrius) -Galactic Peacekeeper (Space Police I) New answers for us, I don't think we've had any of those before. I do suspect that more will come to value Cafe Corner as an innovator in time. Q. What is your Favourite Theme? A. Well when I was young Pirates was far and away my favorite theme. That then moved to Castle and Space. Currently Castle and Space still are on about equal footing. Don't give up the ship! Q. Are you really a psychologist? What can you deduce about me? (Ps - the mental institutes here don't have internets so no I'm not in one..) A. Psychologist? Well I'm going into med school... Staudie needs one, so he keeps asking everyone who comes on the show. *wacko* Still, it beats the old days when he kept asking everyone if they were a proctologist. 8-| Q. Best In Real Life Lego Moment? A. Hopefully that's yet to come at the 2008 event, but so far I'd have to say when I was little and went to the Orlando Lego Store... Been there, great store, but you're making me feel old here. I don't think it was open during what would have qualified as my 'little' years. Q. Best EB Moment? A. That's a toughie. I guess I could say the honor of being made a mod or an admin, but honestly it's been meeting and getting to know a bunch of great people here Q. If you could design a cutom set, what would it be? Whatever you want. No "Wack a EB member" Sets please . A. I'd say a nice, detailed, UCS-level SHIP. It would be awesome to see sets like that on sale. Q. Have you ever met another EB Member or fellow Maniac? A. Not yet :'-( Q. What does thyee lair look like? A. Messy :-| Seriously I have no pics... Chicken... *starts clucking* Oh? *reaches for the red button* Would you like a drumstick? *stops clucking* Q. What would you say is your best creation yet? A. Well that's still a secret for now X-D Q. You know I've never seen you post any mocs? A. :'-( There's my Assault Droid, Light Fighter, Alien Walkers, Mecha 26J, a Multipurpose Droid, a Racer (based off another MOC), and a SHIP I'm working on... Staudie doesn't get out much. Q. Am I annoying? A. Not at all *sweet* Nah, just kidding. I wanted to be unique 8-| Not like anyone was going to believe that anyway ... Q. Who should we Interview Next? A. Hinckley! I think he mentioned he wanted to be interviewed again X-D Well, I just don't know about ... *phone rings* How unusual, we don't normally get calls during the show, except for jokes, and I set those up. *phone chatter* Oh, hey Hinck. No no, he's just kidding, we weren't really planning to interview you again. *angry chatter* Uh... Er... It isn't that we don't find you fascinating and all, but come on, how many times have you been on? *angry chatter followed by sobbing* Ok. Ok. OK! Listen, we'll have you on again for a special occasion. *whimpering chatter* Yes, we still *wub* you, of course we do. I'll have my people call your people and set it up. Right then, I need to run now. *thankful chatter* Yes yes, you too, gotta run! *hangs up quickly* Sooooo, how are you guys doing? 8-| Oh, um, fine. I'm a bit hungry. It was a rhetorical question. Who's Rhett? *thankfully, a fuse blows and the whole studio goes dark as the signal fades*
  4. Staudie comes from a long line of Jesters. Hey, I'm just sayin' ... X-D Oh crap, I haven't done the interview for this week. Looks like the joke's on me. 8-
  5. Welcome to EB, CC! Always nice to have another Pirates fan around and an excellent job on this little clipper, especially considering the parts available. *y*
  6. Welcome to EB! Late 70's, 90's dark ages... very good, we have a lot in common here. However, I find your lack of Pirates disturbing! (Misusing a Star Wars quote about something else when it was Star Wars that brought me out of my dark ages is just wrong on so many levels :-$). Be sure to check out the Big Billboard o' Doom
  7. 7672 Rogue Shadow 7670 Hailfire Droid & Spider Droid 7786 Batcopter (on clearance) That almost completes the January 2008 SW releases, finally.
  8. I can't believe everyone missed this part. Clearly the kid needs to get a job, stop eating other people's LEGO and sponging off his parents by living at home. He's 7 already, when do they expect him to become a responsible member of society if they don't start pushing him now? >:-( ;-) You're kidding, right? :-| *wacko*
  9. Happy Birthday, oh he who I've heard a rumour shall be interviewed sooner, rather than later! ;-)
  10. They mean the set number.
  11. Is there an age limit on this? I could have sworn there used to be, so I never bothered with it. I just went over and ran through it and was left thinking: 1. How does LEGO get any valuable information out of those poorly chosen questions? 2. If there isn't an age limit, am I supposed to still be getting my mommy to buy my LEGO? (she's gonna be so surprised X-D ) 3. If I only had two points, why did I go to all this effort to number them? :-$ Seriously though, someone tell me this is 18 and under or something. I felt silly at the end entering my email address as my parent's address and not putting in one below that, but I didn't want to get twice the spam for no good reason. They clearly think I'm 12 now. :-| Come to think of it, last night as I was buying LEGO, I probably acted 12. I think I'll go do that survey again, I've got hundreds of sets to catch up on. ;-)
  12. These are all great! *y* As a purist, my favourite would be Seasee Tiin, since he most looks like something LEGO might actually produce themselves. At least we can hope. I'm not really familiar with the KotOR characters but the quality of work is very nice. One thing that strikes me is how much Predator could be adapted into a Dark Trooper from the original Dark Forces game. I'd love to see that done, if you ever run out of ideas (I doubt that's possible). Again, great job and thanks for sharing them! *sweet*
  13. While discontinued might be overstating it a bit since clearly they can still make 32x32 baseplates, the fact that they don't make them in blue anymore probably makes it fair enough for the eBay crowd. Sometimes it's worse to try to overexplain things there, so I'd leave it as is. Oh, and did you ever get the feeling you were being watched? ;-)
  14. Haha, I missed this the first time, not realising that my sigfig didn't make the boat, but my avatar did *sweet* (and he has the hat I really wanted, once they make it in black or dark bley). *y* Now, if everyone will look the other way for a moment, I'm going to shove Timmay, er, UB, over the rail. >:-) As for you Staudie, I hate that you missed the boat. That could be you going over the rail instead. X-D For once Staudie is right ... Great entry oo7! *y* *y* *y* Party Boat On! *y*
  15. Makes me sad that I was in my dark ages then... 1994 On! *y* Oh, um, here Hinckley, I uh, found this wallet, I think it's yours. It was empty though, not even $58 in it. Hinckley: How did you know I had $58 in it? Lucky guess... 8-|
  16. Welcome to EB! You know, we've been getting so many new members lately, it was inevitable that we'd end up with a stampede :-D Very nice pic, always happy to see another SW fan in the fray! Look around, join in, have fun, play well! *y*
  17. Nice entry Jipay! I'd heard that the admins liked to go disemBOWeLing ;-) Oh, and Hinckley! This little trip into the realm of Block Block madness has been added to the Big Billboard o' Doom
  18. The Big Billboard o' Doom
  19. Few more of the new SW Battlepacks. I usually can't resist adding a couple to every purchase. Bat Tank and Bat Copter, while they're still available, since they finish up my Batman collection for now. Anakin's JSF, 5585 Pink Bucket (not a word >:-( ). A quiet night, but some stuff to build. *sweet*
  20. While the winners are incredible, I'm quite pleased by the showing of our EB members. Some great work there. *y* Congrats to all of you! *sweet*
  21. Oh, and I store my stickers the same way, with the instructions to the set. For multiples (like the new SW battlepacks), I keep all the stickers together with one set of instructions (the dupe instructions are in their flattened boxes). In weird cases where I have stickers without instructions, they go in their own sleeves (one of my favourite Bricklink sellers likes to throw in spare stickers with my order, ever since I mentioned how much I hate them. It's a running joke now ;-) ).
  22. Ding ding ding, we have a winner! That's my system, though I ran out of sleeves a while back and the overflow is standing upright in a blue bucket. Blue bucket? *eyes Sinner suspiciously* 8-| Back off, Walrus. >:-(
  23. That's very nice, and certainly scary. We shall call it... Bob! No, that isn't going to do. 8-| At least now I know what to do with all those parts I never use ... evil space monsters! Thanks for the ideas! *y*
  24. Wow, it looks great, and big. Bigger than I expected. I was kind of hoping we'd see these level off in the $120 range, tops, and this seems like it will break that, but it'll be hard to resist. Though I haven't picked up Market Street yet... I kind of hope these have a long 'shelf' life, there is so much else to keep up with.
  25. Great figure lineup, I'm pleased. I mean sure, I don't really want another Anakin, but I expected it and the rest are very nice. *y* *yoda*: Rex does look more E3 without the obvious E2 fin. I assume he has a printed skirt on, though it would be amazing if that's an actual piece worn at the hips instead. His arms even look like 2 colours, though I'm wondering if he's wearing something on his neck that is making it look like that, the way epaulettes would. We'll just have to wait for a bigger picture. It really does, sort of. Now they just need to be smart and steal my idea to produce a fire station in Cafe Corner scale, which just happens to look exactly like the one in Ghostbusters, and they'll be all set.
