I simply can't fathom this. I couldn't have been the most suspicious person that day, yet you chose me, and now, assuming you're a good but wayward soul, you're stupid enough to announce it here, thus revealing yourself to the witches so they can stop you in your future efforts. Foolishness! As he should have, he was a loose cannon, going off without cause. A relative? Consider yourself lucky that God stopped you from killing me. I know of this foolish general you speak of and his victim was a good man, long lamented for his grim death. I understand that one of his great grandchildren is even on the guard here in Azufre. That leave us to determine something important. Are you a witch? We could take your word, but you haven't shown yourself to be reliable in your actions, or we could deduce that you failed in your first attempt, kept quiet as you say you did and didn't risk trying another, and now you're confessing because you fear we are on to you. Or, you're innocent and stupid. It's all quite disturbing. You destroyed much of your value in this revelation and you haven't been useful yet. This is as bad as the situation with Martinus. The witches won't defeat us through intelligence or guile, they'll do it by taking advantage of our own stupidity! DAMNATION! Or you are one and this is a cover. I wish we could be sure. I'll tell you what! The witches surely can't block two people at night, so how about you try to kill someone that we all decide upon and Martinus tries to investigate you, and we'll see if either one makes it though? If the kill works, we'll know you did as we asked, if the investigation goes through, we'll know what you are. If both do, it'll be like bingo night at the church. AMEN! Does that sound like a reasonable test?

Open display of lust. Noted. Repeat after me Philip, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife's megablocks." Now say it 100 more times, 500 hail Marys (ironic, isn't it?) and do an act of contrition. Oh, and could you get me something for lunch? That's a good lad. Witches R Us is restocked. Noted. Use of the Lord's name in vain. Noted. Let's hope so, but I doubt it. It's just too easy. Our only hope is that someone is carefully protecting the good citizens from harm. Sadly, now that the witches know his role, they may attempt to stop him from performing it. However, that means they can't stop the rest of us from doing what we need to, so it may still serve a purpose. Perhaps time to revisit the three shoppers. For some reason, I agree. I actually suspect Miguel, and wonder if he has been hanging around the Church looking for an opportunity to kill me. I would be interested in knowing his relationship with Isabella and Sergio, all of whom apparently visited, yet I never saw them. At least God never told me I did, and I trust His word over all others. He seems more interested in your codpiece. Perhaps he's fishing for the other team now? (OOC: I don't care if we don't OOC, that's just damn funny... sorry. Shhhh. Avert your eyes and pray. God never even informed me if I was successful in my efforts, though I assume I was. Agreed on all counts. I would be most interested in that as well. I have no indication that he is particularly devout (or not, for that matter), nor do I recall seeing him, Isabella or Sergio, all of whom are suspicious to me. Well, that didn't help at all. I'm thrilled to see us successfully deliver a heretic to the bowels of hell, but now we're left with a lot more questions and it may have cost us the effective use of the torturer.

Hey, if you've got the guts to keep celebrating birthdays at your advanced age, I guess I'll have to wish you a great one. I went ahead and add some fiber to the cake, prunes to the punch and vacuumed up all the loose LEGO that was in the basement. We can't have you falling and breaking a hip now, can we? What would poor Mary do without her beloved? Be sure to come back and tell us what you got, and don't forget... the Walrus has the Staff Paddle for your birthday spanking.

There are several versions of my basic sigfig including hat and outfit changes. The one common factor is the head. It NEVER changes, and I always get in epaulettes and a cape if I can. Here is one such example from EB News Interviews where I am the host. The traditional ImperialShadows, from top to bottom or - A brown hat. Usually a pirate tricorne, but sometimes an Indiana Jones fedora despite the reddish-brownness of it. - Always this head. - Brown cape. - Brown epaulettes. - Qui-Gon torso. - Brown hips and legs. Glad you asked this, I'd been meaning to make a quick inventory of it for a long time since I get the occasional pm asking.

Technically, this discussion belongs in this thread, but I'll leave it here for now and just merge it once you get some opinions. Personally, I'd get the big set and I wouldn't worry about which version, US or not, I'd take the quality of the offer into account over a set number that means very little.
-
Witch or not, you did a good job. If you end up innocent, I shall put in for you to be considered a martyr for the cause of good. Pirate game, right! I'll pm you.

*gives the final blessing over Bernard* I don't know why you have gone so nobly to death, but I hope that your sacrifice will be worthy. Or that you're a witch and you burn in hell. Either way, good job! *locks the door of the church for the night* I do believe that everyone should be praying to God this evening, so that he will know what you intend to do in the night. Be good, children, tomorrow should be an important day.

*Alexander steps out of the shadows, where he has been listening* This has all been very interesting, and enlightening to me. Mustafa, you speak with a wisdom and persuasiveness I'm not used to being on the receiving end of, but I think I appreciate the clarity of your mind in this matter. I am going to have faith that you are a servant of God and follow your lead. Unvote: Charles / Hinckley Vote: Bernard / Trexxen I agree that killing Martinus would be the wrong order to go in. As a matter of fact, I believe that based on the way I understand this game ... of life ... that any communication between Martinus and Inquisitor passes directly through God, who is the only one we can trust. I do not believe that God would relay a lie. Therefore, if Bernard is innocent, then it has to be our own Inquisitor who is misleading us, though I hate to even think it. Killing Bernard will answer this. I will admit that I expect the possibility of another attempt on my life, I also fear for the safety of Martinus and the Inquisitor until this matter is cleared up, since any of us could be attacked by friend or foe, confused by the incredible turns this day has taken. I would ask that any vigilant minded good citizens try to restrain themselves this evening, so we aren't further confused by their actions. I would also ask that the witches drop dead and go to hell. Please. You know, it never hurts to be polite.

Fun idea for a thread and something I'd like to see actually built! As for the answer... 2 words: Graveyard Duel. Everything you ever wanted for halloweenifying in one box. It's the only Harry Potter set I ever bought. Crypt. Spooky tree. Graves. Owls. Bats. Snakes. Rickety cart. Chains. Gate and fence. Frog. Skeletons. Worth the price of admission, though sadly unavailable at retail anymore. Of course, if that won't do, one could dig up some of the old Fright Knights for a witch, the Studio Monster line for a variety of classic monsters, or even the Adventurers for inspiration. OR, if someone was incredibly creative, they could take elements from the old Wild West line and make a ghost town. Why does that sound familiar?

I wasn't feeling well after the situation last night, having felt the cold clawing hand of death at my neck. I took a nap, hoping to recover somewhat. During that nap, I saw a vision. It was a cloud hanging over Azufre. A black cloud. Fearing for our lives, the good citizens of the town began to pray and the Lord blew his blessed wind, dissipating the cloud and revealing it's source. Suddenly, it was all clear. I arose and came to speak to you, but first, I watched carefully as the discussion being held confirmed my vision. Why do you keep assuming they can make conversions? Why does it seem like you keep revealing a secret that only the witches should know? Why do you apologize for accusing people in one breath and then start making confusing and contradictory ones with the next? Why have you been against the church, and are now against your devoutly religious wife? It's all clear, there is no more doubt. Good people of Azufre! I call upon you to banish this witch from our presence so that the Lord may provide him his final punishment! To fail to do so after he has made so many stupid mistakes and shown his wicked hand so clearly, would be tantamount to an admission of heresy on your own part! Consider this the most important moment of your lives. You have almost condemned Martinus because of weak and contradictory information, and in doing so, you may have exposed an important man to attack from the witches themselves. Stop being deceived, stop being misled, stop being confused by double-talk and nonsense, hollow accusations and arrogant gestures. Vote for Charles now, or risk an eternity in the fiery pit! A vote to kill Charles is a vote to support God. You're either with us or you're with the witches. You decide. I am Alexander the Priest and I support this message. Oh, and if I'm wrong, we can kill Joan tomorrow. See how that works? God's will be done!

On this, we agree. Spells. Interesting choice of words. Previously asked and answered. For some reason, in the game ... of life, I'm always entrusted with protecting people who desperately need it. I shall say no more, unless others wish to discuss what they spend their nights doing. I'm not so sure we aren't being misled on that, and I am reminded of my ancient history. Once upon a time, a loyal General named Spencer killed a man who he believed to be a traitor. He was wrong. He died when the rest of the loyal citizens found out, thinking him to be evil, which he wasn't. Net loss: 2 loyal citizens. It was a fine day for the evil forces and a great loss for good. We need to be cautious of such trickery. For this reason, I cannot place the deciding vote for Martinus. I have no seen actual evidence, though I will admit that the suspicion is there. I will continue to pray on the subject and hope that thinks will become clear by lunch or dinner. And I'm starved... Did someone mention pie? As for the 'torture'... I suspect it was someone making an official inquiry into his loyalty, if you catch my drift. If not, perhaps the witches were trying to turn him? They could easily be guilty of torture to go along with their other foul deeds. I am not, this I swear before God. Now we're getting somewhere. Reveal more or I'll cast the final vote now. Speak clearly, confess and save your soul.

To be perfectly honest, I still have no idea why you were suspicious, you declared those suspicions very quickly, just as you threw them at our Inquisitor upon his arrival. I have yet to see any justification for either, any more than for your doubts about your wife. To the best of my knowledge, she is a loyal and God fearing woman, Mary merry and kind. Were she to work on her slightly privileged attitude and come to accept that we are all God's children, I think she could be the kind of woman that men dream of. You are very lucky, I hope you realise that and head straight home to show her your appreciation. I have the exact same view I've had since you first began making wild accusations of the Church, I suspect you strongly. Very strongly. The problem is, I've been watching you so closely that I haven't even noticed Sergio. John, Cassandra and Sabrina have been on my prayer list since they were possibly involved in the purchase of suspect items. I hope they haven't already gone astray. I wish it was possible to know how many once good souls have gone astray.

The position we're in with the current one is proof enough.

Many do not consider me suspicious, for they know a servant of the Lord. I am sad to see that you are lost, Charles. I had a long response planned, but it isn't necessary. Bottom line, Charles is a deceitful individual who uses veiled innuendo and sly remarks to try to mislead people into going against whomever he chooses, especially the Church. He is a heretic, whether a witch or not. It is a waste of my time to continue to converse with him, he is a lost cause. "He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight." I look forward to a day when the good men and women of this town are ready to deal with this problem directly. Until then, I shall pray.

Americans are still stupid. Just wanted to give you all the update. Carry on.

Or a paintograph, though no one believes those. I mean, seriously, even with a perfectly clear one, someone will come along and convince you it isn't General Marcus killing Grim...

Only witches with time traveling broomsticks, I think.

The hand of God giveth, and the hand of God taketh away. Thus sayeth the Lord. AMEN!

I do not see the overwhelming tide of agreement, I have seen people giving careful consideration to all sides and a fair amount of condemnation for your attacks on the Church. Perhaps you are reading selectively and missing the true message. My cousin Ivan runs a restaurant there. Stop in for the after-Church special and mention my name for 10% off. He calls it the 'Tithe Plate' and passes it around the room while music plays, but instead of putting in, you take out what you want. Avoid the shrimp. He's a little hard to understand at times but he's a good man. Oh, and if you try to mess with him, he'll snap your neck.

The town is only strong when we are united against the cause of evil, and sadly, this town has been infiltrated by outside forces hell-bent on turning the good away from their noble course. You made a rather interesting bit of speculation when you suggested that the witches could turn the good to evil. If that is so, I am the one who sees to it that they aren't turned in the dark of night, but I have never claimed to be able to stop the evil alone. It is only through the combined effort of each and every one of us that we can succeed. Sadly, some are intent on another path and are attempting to undermine all that the Church has worked for. The good citizens can see that. Together, we can stop it. We have not lost our way. Most of the citizens of Azufre are good, it is only the small minority that seeks to taint them with evil. That is what makes this problem so difficult, finding the wolves hidden amongst the flock. They have not gone astray, they are being attacked, and stopping the attackers is all that matters to me, for in that victory shall come a return to the Godly town this can still be. I do not believe that you are innocent, I would like to see something to indicate that, but thus far, you have behaved exactly as a witch would. As for your suspicions, they began from the moment the Inquisitor arrived and it became obvious that I would finally have some Holy assistance in my fight against the witches. You have accused him, me, and others in town, with less evidence and clear motive than you have yourself, without providing a single bit of evidence of your innocence. Personally, I welcome a full investigation of my life, my actions, my background and my motives. I have made inquiries, looked at the information that the Lord has provided us and made observations accordingly. You, on the other hand, have made numerous pointless accusations, so I suggest you look to your own motives before pointing the finger at others. As for maintaining peace, that is not within my authority. The good citizens are peaceful, they will listen to the words of our Lord, but the witches will cause disruption and mayhem until stopped. Only then can peace be restored. I do not decide if you are to die or not, the town does. I hope we choose correctly, not only in your case but with all of decisions. If you understood the nature of my duties in the Church, you would choke on the vile accusations that I could be trying to turn this town to evil. Without my efforts, and those of the good citizens of Azufre, this town would already be lost, firmly ensconced in the fiery grip of satan. I already know that my future place in Heaven is reserved, my name written in the Good Book, but that is not my only concern, for it is my responsibility to make every effort to insure that all who belong there are by my side, and that is what I intend to do, starting right here in this town. Those are the truest words you've spoken, thus far. My death would point at you and reveal you for what I believe you are. As for being suspicious of me, that's simply a sad joke. You know full well that I am a Godly man, and it eats you up inside.

You start your second day accusing the Church in a town overrun with witches. Yes, your loyalties are quite clear. Trying to turn an attack against me into a way to rid yourself of the interference of the church and the loyal guard who protected me is an easy 2 for 1, isn't it? Now, let's try some reality. The witches know each other, so they aren't going to attack a fellow witch. The good citizens are unaware of who is good or evil, so if one decided to attack someone, they'd be taking, literally, a shot in the dark. That said, I sincerely doubt that a good citizen would presume that the head of their Church was evil, especially without evidence. Literally, you're the only one who keeps assuming that, but since I see you for the witch that you must be, your attacks are purely selfish and not intended for the public good. As to the method used, why assume how a witch would kill? Why would a witch risk detection by practicing their evil craft when a more generic means is available to them. A rich bitch witch would probably pull out their trusty musket and blast away, but their inability to shoot straight would leave them running from the guards in failure. We should have done this job on day 1. I will swear now, before God, anyone who can't see the truth in this is a witch or under the spell of one. He who attacks the church is truly a minion of the devil. Vote: Charles / Hinckley Wouldn't that be the kind of inside information that only a witch could have, since only you are aware of each other's identities? A loyal citizen wouldn't dare try to kill someone yet, they couldn't be sure they were making a good decision. So you had one of your bewitched victims do it or you're the great great grandfather of Dick Cheney. Either way, witch. You forgot rich, with access to a musket, a weapon that wouldn't be commonly available to the poor citizens of Azufre or even the guards. Look more closely, his serpent tongue has been revealing him since day 1, but some are choosing to not see it. I'm going to hope that you're just foolish and not a witch, but you're on my list to watch carefully now. Tread lightly when trying to attack a servant of the Lord, an attempted assassin learned that last night. Wisdom shines through. He has accused both members of the church and his own wife. He is schemer who only wishes to save his own black heart.

The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus #7
Shadows replied to Hinckley's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Badass! Very nicely done, and I approve of the new weekly installment method, it was always so sad waiting for months and then it was over quickly. Now it can be savoured, enjoyed over and over in little bits. Hollis: Low self-esteem... our Hinck? Oh, no, it isn't that at all, it's something much more interesting called 'self-effacing humour', a powerful and entertaining tool for the public speaker (and comic maker, forum poster, etc). Of course, the other part is that as Hinck falls in the mud, where do you look? Are you observing Copmike or Boney? No, you're staring at Hinck, just the way he likes it. -
Those bastards uh bitches uh witches! Thank God! AMEN! I appreciate that, my son. As a man of God, I am never off duty. Last night, it was important for me to pray over someone, which I did. Upon my return, I was ambushed. I'm not really surprised. Indeed we could, but lets not forget that all witches, even the ones who are trying to hide themselves, would want me dead, I represent God who will smite them like the foul demons they are. That sounds reasonable, but doesn't tell us the results of that, ahem, inquiry. Like running from the scene of an attempted murder, perhaps. Or trying some other evil... I'd like to see the two of you in confession! I sincerely doubt it was a good citizen trying to play vigilante. No God fearing person would attempt to kill a man in church and certainly not the priest himself. I just can't bring myself to suspect that.

Picked it up in a Central Florida Target the other night. I assume Greatland refers to the Super Target stores (with grocery), but this was just a normal one. Must have had no less than 16 out and it looked like I bought the first one. They also had what I assume is an Agents exclusive that just didn't interest me for some reason and another set that I can't even remember, except that I didn't want it. I might have to look at the Agents one again, since all I remember is it looked like an oil drilling platform or something and the shelf was full of them as well.

CONTEST: Pillage the Village - Terms & Conditions
Shadows replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
Since it's an official LEGO item, yes you may. Custom decals were never declared for non-minifig use, but I see no problem with them. Um... wouldn't any picture you take have some kind of natural background? To not allow that would be to require every entry to be edited with a new background. *smacks Zuloo in the back of the head*
