Seriously, Petey, you're dead, get over it already. AMEN!
-
Scared me too, and I knew better... Clearly, this was someone's idea of a halloween prank.

Ok, enough discussing plot, strategies, suspicions, etc here! That's for damn sure.

Blah blah, the mean Church people are trying to catch the witch, whine whine. Give me a break, already. That said, I feel secure in revealing that I have, with the guidance of the Lord, conducted a bit of a misdirection here today. I don't think we have even vaguely enough evidence to convict Lord WhineyAss Charles, but I wanted to see who would jump at the opportunity and who would be more likely to give it careful consideration. The test went well, and here is how I see the results... Anyone who jumped on the bandwagon quickly is being kept on one list. Anyone who didn't, is on another. Once we convict someone on either list, I'll feel confident in determining who the other witches are, based solely on that. In other words, you people have shown your loyalties, and the Church appreciates it. Unvote: Charles / Hinckley Thank you for your cooperation, it has been quite helpful.

We have 8 votes in favour of casting out Lord BrimstoneBritches Charles. The night nears: if we are to complete our task and send this matter to our Lord for his eternal judgment, those of you who are uncertain will need to come to some kind of conclusion, either way. It will be interesting and revealing to see who fails to vote or even comment when given the opportunity. The eyes of the town are upon you.
-
No, I only asked if anyone felt strongly enough to make that decision, and the people have spoken. Mind you, if it does end up a bad decision, I will pray for your soul and, as you said, you'll have all eternity with our Lord. I wish I could believe you, I sincerely do. This game, of life, wouldn't be as fun without you...

"The sin of black magic is rebellion. Wickedness and idolatry are arrogance. Because you rejected the word of the LORD, he rejects you as king." Vote: Charles / Hinckley

That is all that I have been asking... A valid point. That basically means Charles and his wife, Philip with his eternal studies, the Inquisitor and myself, and then things become tricky. Potentially, anyone else could be educated but concealing it in an attempt to confuse us. How much do we truly know about the backgrounds of the citizens of Azufre? I will admit, however, that taking the noble angle and adding his haste at accusing members of the Church and others, Lord Beelzebub Charles is looking more and more suspicious to me. If I felt that others shared that view, I might consider it time to take action before nightfall. If the parchment wasn't important, I do not believe that God would have brought it to our attention and I do not believe that he is attempting to deceive us. He knows this is our first day dealing with this problem, he is probably being kind and trying to help, it's what some of us have been praying for, isn't it? I also doubt that the axe is a coincidence, nor is it the kind of thing that a poor person could afford to suddenly buy, and if they did, I think they would admit it to us. Who would be suspicious of a farmer who needed an axe to chop firewood? I wouldn't. No... someone bought this axe with the intent to keep it a secret. That means evil, hiding in the shadows and wrapping it's boney fingers around the souls of the good. Perhaps the soldiers could search for this item? It might answer as much as the parchment, and finding it just might prevent a horrible murder.

A lot of people aren't familiar with the HO line, but I know that personally I'd love to see them reviewed. Perhaps done in small groups of 2 or 3 from the same year or related in some way, if possible, but even singly would be nice to have. Welcome to EB and the Academy!

Witch Hunt Mafia - Confirmation Thread
Shadows replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Ok, of all of your parts, your opinion is not one of the most humble. (OOC: Yeah, it is disturbing... like your breath!) -
I find it revealing that some people are trying to go against the Church when you need us the most. I sincerely believe that those people are under the spell of a witch, or practicing the black arts themselves. Time will tell. Keep a close eye on who is accusing whom and why, and who is simply trying to look at the clues we have to determine something. The witches are making themselves obvious right now, perhaps we should act?
-
You do realise that it's the most natural for us to feel that we are on the same side, since we are truly the only ones who can claim to be on the Lord's side, the best side of all. As for you accusing your wife, I missed that. I'm still not used to these names. Did you have a reason for that? She is one who hasn't made my list yet, so I'm curious why the woman you chose to marry would make yours. Accusing the merchant is fairly obvious when he's clearly different and foreign from a country that does dabble in forbidden magic, knows how to write and sells witch supplies without remember whom to. Geez... good thing you aren't a sheriff or something in a town full of bandits, you'd probably let poor Molly get run over by a stagecoach. Wait... What?
-
Hmmm... has no respect for the Church. Can't keep a civil tongue in her mouth. No respect for the sanctity of marriage, it's only a means to wealth and greed. Scheming and plotting. Already henpecking Mustafa, who she seems to have targeted to bewitch with her supposed charms. What a bitch witch...

None have indicated a desire to confess anything and I doubt that a witch would freely admit to being one in a town full of people looking to kill them, don't you? I also don't think that a witch would really want to spend time in a church, unless they are up to some evil that I am unaware of. Would the Inquisitor, who is clearly more informed on such subjects, be able to shine the glorious Holy Light of our Lord on that? As for you... Buying apples when you want carrots and going around looking all weird with red lips. Weirdo! Says the woman who shamelessly throws herself at Mustafa, right in broad, and I do mean broad, daylight. Perhaps you'd like to confess something? At your current pace, we're going to be adding the letter A to your dresses so that all who see you will know your shame.

Oh really? I think we are on to something here.
-
No, I do not believe we all knew that, but you certainly seem to. Rugs for magic flying. Parchment for evil spells. Broomsticks. You're just a regular Witches 'r' Us, aren't you? Perhaps we should deal with this problem in hopes of keeping the witches from getting their needed supplies from this ready and willing source who is clearly more interested in money than in protecting our town from evil!
-
Seems we're having a hard time getting our merchant to make sense, or maybe he just doesn't want to cooperate... First he tries to claim that the sales record he is holding is the parchment in question and that it was left by one of the shoppers, now he's uncertain who bought what, despite keeping such exacting records in a town with so few people. What are you hiding, Mustafa?
-
CLUES! Clearly, someone who visited Mustafa today was buying witching supplies! Now, what do we know of the comings and goings of his shop? For one thing, Sabrina, John and Cassandra all did some shopping there today. For another, Mustafa should know who bought what, so tell us, turbaned merchant, who bought a broomstick and parchment today?
-
A fair question, Lord Satanpants Charles, let's see what we have ... The Inquisitor went for lunch, but not to the bakery, since no customers arrived there. I'm not really sure where one gets lunch around here, I just usually pop something in the microwave have some bread and cheese. You and Joan went home, as did Philip. Elisa trailed behind... who? All of you? That's confusing. Maybe she was meeting someone? The soldiers went to their barracks, that's normal enough. The farmers seem normal. We have an indication that Sabrina, John and Cassandra are all friendly. Do they hold a group secret? I obviously went back to the church. Should we assume that Miguel, Isabella and Sergio are devout and came back to pray? I never saw them in the chapel, but that's no proof. Hmmm... it isn't much to go on. Oh, and the merchants were merchanting. I skipped right over them. Still, normal.

We are floundering in a sea of uncertainty, clouded by currents of evil... I do not believe we will learn much this way. We need to make a decision of some kind today, based on what we have.
-
Methinks that Philip is treading upon dangerous ground. It is bad enough that he is more concerned with his 'learning' than the Lord, but now he seems to be pondering dangerous ideas... *eyes Philip suspiciously* I am wondering if this will be a cold winter. Maybe we need to consider other sources of heat. Perhaps all of those unnecessary papers he has amassed.
-
*walks into the chapel, genuflects and kneels to pray* ... and Lord, please give us the wisdom to find these witches and remove them from our town. The people here are good, this scourge is more than we can manage. The only place I feel safe is right here in these hallowed halls, the one place I feel that evil cannot enter. But it feels close, like it's closing in on us, and all the blessings are barely keeping it out. Please, hear me... Amen. *stands, genuflecting again and backs out of the chapel to consult the scriptures, hoping to find some clue to identifying the evil*

I feel we are making no progress here. It seems the witches are clouding our judgment. We need a sign, something Lord, please!
