  1. Ah-ha... Google translate. I feel kind of dumb... should have thought of that one myself . Oh well. Thank you to all of you who have responded.
  2. Thank you Littleworlds! Not at all, she's a real sweetheart ... Except when I try to tickle her belly, (ouch ). Just a little clarification... Eisenpfote is pronounced I - sen - fote? and Stahlklaue is pronounced Stall - klow (like cow)?
  3. Hi All... This is a request I'd like to ask of our German speaking friends here. I have a cat that I would like to name "Iron Paw", or maybe "Steel Claw"... But I would like to do so in German. Since my language skills in German are next to nothing I need a little help, please. Thank you all in advance. Your help is certainly appreciated.
  4. Very clever! The simplicity of the design will allow it, with minimal modding, to be used in almost any application. Good work.
  5. It's "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline for me. Pretty good read, lots of fun. It has some really good "didn't see that coming" moments, and a ton of 80's pop culture refs. Supposedly it will be a movie soon.
  6. This isn't a title change request but a request non the less... Perhaps it would be a good idea to pin this topic in the upper section of the forum so it is easier to find.
  7. It almost makes you feel sorry for ol' Capt. Hook there... Nice work!
  8. What's the worst that can happen? My guess is that there could be an increase in the memberships of local LUGs. That wouldn't all that bad, would it?
  9. When I need to secure additional stock, I go to a handy retailer of used (and new) LEGO in a nearby town. -> WARNING!! Shameless plug for a friend to follow <- Bricks & Minifigs in Canby ,OR. USA. -> End of shameless plug <- I consider myself very fortunate to have one not too far away from my house. His prices are quite fair, although I do have to pick through a tremendous amount of bricks to get what I want. It is not unusual to find that I have spent most of a day looking for those "just right" parts. (Fortunately I am retired. ) My usual tactic is go for the parts that I know I will need first as I gather up 1x & 2x plates and 1x bricks in my chosen "color of the day". (Lately foliage has also been finding its way into my bags.) Somewhere in there I'll find a few "odd" bits that I have no idea what I'll use then for, but just got to have... And then I'll finish it off by filling the remainder of the cup (or bag) with more small (1x1 & 1x2) items. Using this method, I've always felt that I have received my monies worth. A less satisfactory but less expensive route, has been the discovery of a "bin full of LEGO" at a yard/garage sale. Alas, every time I have used this method I have found that most of the bricks are in such bad condition that I wind up donating the vast majority of them to Good Will or another organization.
  10. Nicely done! An excellent design well executed. Good use of the available space inside. Wait a minute... Is that a gnome mini-fig I see in there? Nice!
  11. I still think a narrow gauge train would have been better... But it's kind of a mute point since TLG hasn't seen fit to produce any n/g straight track. It looks like there is some pretty good building techniques in the model.
  12. Cool! So... we can look forward to seeing a few MOC aircraft in the future? Welcome to the forums!
  13. Ah, yes... Nothing like a child to help focus ones self on what is important in life.
  14. Welcome to Eurobricks, oh multi-talented one!
  15. Good choice Murdoch... For me its almost anything from the "I Robot" album. Right on! I've been following them since 1974! It's all good! Current faves? Long format Jam Bands. Great party musics for us "old farts".
  16. Nicely done! My favorites are the penguin, lion, and bison. Good work!
  17. ROAD TRIP !!! Looks like you had a wonderful time of it. Honestly it sounds like the LEGO was just an excuse to hit the road... Cool pics. That tunnel entrance is a LEGO project begging to be made.
  18. Nice work indeed! Those translucent "dragon" screens especially caught my eye. Good build!
  19. You forgot wild unsubstantiated rumor... Glad to have you aboard, Craggy!
  20. Well, that is what some of the "Town" folk are starting to figure....
  21. Welcome aboard! Don't worry about the English thing too much... I'm American and my French isn't very good either. For that matter neither is my English.
  22. Welcome aboard! Storytelling and LEGO... Sounds like a good combination to me.
  23. If its parts we are talking about... I use time tested concrete block and 1x12 shelving crammed with plastic bins. Works for me.
  24. The color is pretty good, very close, but seems to lack depth... like its only on the surface, not a part of the brick itself. I'd go with paint.
  25. The Wayback Machine does indeed have the magazine issues (in PDF format) for download... But the instructions are not. Well... unless they were a part of an article.
