Found an unopened copy of 75089: Geonosis Troopers at a local shop for it's RRP. Decided to pick it up, I know we haven't seen these troopers in canon yet, but I like'em so I got them.

Now here's an idea. A little off topic. Because I'm talking about 2022. But this year marvel is getting its first advent calendar. And next year marvel is doing it's first holiday special, so I'm going speculate ( and hope) that next year's advent calendar is based off of the GotG holiday special. It could reuse figures from the infinity saga wave ( as advent calendars are never entirely new figs ) and I'd like it to come with Drax, Mantis, maybe Nebula and Starlord's mask cause I've only got the 2 infinity war sets for guardians and I'd like a more complete team. Obviously there are things from the special that we don't know about yet that they could also include. It'd be a logical way to represent the Christmas special and would save regular set slot for the many other MCU projects coming out next year. As for white vision, he's still not that great looking to me, I'd rather all his parts were white with just a like grey for outlines and such. But it is what it is and I'll still try to get him.

I think the less in demand ones sometimes do on the lego shop, but not often and not the more popular ones. I think the gunship probaly won't but IIRC the A-wing and b-wing both did. Come on New Zealand TLG try something new!

I think the getting the yellow clone commander in this set is a good sign. Please allow me to elaborate. Right so, we've all heard the 'all people remember is a clone with yellow marking on his helmet flies the ship' comment but if they are going to include a clone to pilot the ship, why don't they go for the right one? Is there a logical reason not to? I mean they've made p1 clone pilots before? Well I have an idea, perhaps they went for his clone because they now recognize that the phase 1 clone pilot needs a unique helmet, and of course they don't want to introduce a new minifig part in what is not a minifigure focused set. And maybe what people said in the seemingly redundant 'what minifigure would you want to come with this set' bit influnced their thinking here too, Personally I put, clone pilot with a new fin-less helmet as my suggestion. So they then went with a different but still similar clone and maybe new sets in the pipeline will then include a new phase one clone pilot helmet. Maybe this is a bit of a reach but it's a very least, a logical reason for why they didn't include a pilot.

When I heard orange I assumed it mean the new one of these guys Would use flame yellowish orange rather than bright yellow.

Very nice, funnily enough my favourites of these are the BF2 ones, despite it being the only one of these games I haven't played (Though I do own it, I just haven't played it yet, I will play soon but multiplayer games interest me less). But a very good wave overall. The Mantis does look a little off to me, but that's probably because I'm used to it being yellow. If you wouldn't mind, could I ask to see your model of the Stinger Mantis recoloured in some of the other paintjobs from the game, especially the Gold Squadron one.

Very nice, reminds me of @TheNerdyOne_'s fleet but this is a very different scale. But both were comprehensive fleets of digital lego star wars star ships. If I can be so bold as to make a suggestion, were you planning to make the 'First Light' from Solo.

I guess my hopes that there were more advent calendar figs that weren't on the box were not to be. A shame.

That's a good spider-man fig... but he just looks like spider-man, not very 'WHAT IF' like, even if he does have a cape, that's just Spider-man in a cape isn't it. Sylvie's hair is done how I'd hope they'd do Wanda's. I'm hopeing the gator's hat is a separate part so he also have it taken off and just be a gator.

On top of the '2 good 2 be true' factor this list also on it contains things we've seen which is possible but it does make it easier to fake. Like if it had listed (this is a random example, I try avoaid plot leaks) a Book of Boba Fett set with Han Solo in it and then a trailer came out for Book of Boba, that had solo in it. And whilst I'd like a Silver Angel set, I don't think it's iconic enough (though if it gets some more screen time in TBB then it'd be more likely) to get at least considering what lego tend to make, especially an $100 set. If they were to make it, they could scale it down but I don't think it'd sell that well for $100.

Well in the UK and other countries (but I don't remember which) they're usually still exclusives just to local retailers like Argos, Tesco's or Smyths toys. But these sorts of exclusives can also be bought from lego directly

So this year is the first time they've made an mcu based 4+ set that has figures that aren't just re-uses? I really like the figures in far from home set, but the builds being 4+ are awful and the parts themselves are also non that useful, and I haven't even mentioned the price yet... I think I'll either get it if there is a suitable discount or just hope the figures show up else where.

Aside from this mysterio set and the captain America infinity saga one have there ever been any other 4+ MCU sets?

On the one hand, I'd like it to be surprise but it's too late really anyway. On the other hand, in a recent interview Lego designers said they might of included Luke in the light cruiser but they didn't because they weren't told. Just like they wouldn't be in the loop on this.

I like all today's set 'reveals' if they shown these off at Lego it might have been less of a wet squib. ( Which it was ignore the Star wars leak, like even if we'd known nothing at about them it wasn't enough for 1hour 30) If I get a get duplicate Captain Britain cmf, then I can upgrade the stealth suit with arms and legs ( hoping they're more detailed)

Spoiler tags are not that difficult, especially on pc. Funny that Peggy gets a stealth suit minifig before Steve does. Though the cap stealth suits aren't all that stealthy Spiderman's in Far from home was much more sneaky looking. I'd forgotten that her shield had the rings and I thought it was just the union flag on a shield, I had been hoping to use it for a purist Britannia and Captain Britain (Braddock) which I guess I still can just it won't look 100% right.

Sorry for quoting an old post, and sorry if this had been said already and I somehow missed it. But I'd heard that the original plan for the Lego Movie has to have R2-D2 as one one of the main cast alongside Batman, Wyldstyle, Emmet and e.t.c but that his role was removed and replaced with the smaller star wars cameo. At risk of being told off for mini-modding can we stop with discussion, of the name of the Indentured servitude uno set, it is just going around in circles. What they call the Slave one set doesn't matter as I pretty sure no-one here makes choices on what sets to buy based on names. The Trexler, is looking better and better to me, the UK price is better than expected and from watching a youtube build it looks a lot better than in the boxart images. Plus it comes with those decorated boxes form the UCS cantina.

Well that is something... Imagine if Lady Loki uses the same part but with different printing . She'd honestly look better with just a normal hairpiece. Maybe it will look better in hand but.... Yeah

I think the main things holding it back are that it should've been all dark grey and that most people (myself included) would've preferred the more rebels/kenner toy one from the first season.

That honestly increases the appeal of the set quite a bit to me, from a low maybe to a high maybe, new heads are always useful. Though I wouldn't keep them as stormtroopers, I'll swap in some of my more generic/less useful heads to go under the helmets.
