  1. Thanks, man! Figuring out the proper size of the walker in comparison to the figure was a tough decision. Oh, and, actually, there aren't 3 different walkers, just one that I switched different colored parts on.
  2. Thanks for the comment, Kaitan! You're right about the size and parts count. Just to build a basic fig at this scale takes roughly 115 pieces. I'm sure the walker is an additional 200-300, so anything larger than a personal vehicle would be in the 1000's. I don't have the time, parts, or patience to build anything that huge! Thanks! One thing I'm always trying to do is challenge myself with each build and this WAS a big challenge! You're right about this scale presenting the opportunity to show more detail. I'm a slave to the details! So, just cut and paste comment here? Thanks for the correction. I forgot that one's called a battallion and the other a legion. I fixed it.
  3. Uuuuummmmm....no. Although a great builder named Lino M made a miniland-scale IG2000 over on Flickr which totally blew my mind. You should check it out. My link Thanks for the blog! I actually built and posted a Speederbike with Scout Trooper at this scale first: My link Thanks, Doc! Balancing this thing was the BIGGEST challenge ever! I was determined not to have to use any stands, props, etc to make this stand up. So, yeah, it's posed like that because it would fall over any other way.
  4. Thanks for the B-day wish prateek!

  5. If you're on Flickr, you've seen this as a WIP on up to the finished moc. If you're not, then thank God, cuz this was a real struggle to get to look just right! I took my favorite parts from the ROTS version and the CW version and combined them, leaning more toward the movie version: As far as I know, no one has built a Miniland-scale AT-RT. The biggest challenges were the legs and feet. The scale of the AT-RT has always been debated, but I think I came pretty close for this scale. 212th Battallion color scheme: 501st Legion color scheme: "How am I supposed to get on that thing?!" A size comparison.
  6. I'm actually almost finished with a Moodland-scale (or miniland scale) AT-RT. Should be up tomorrow. You can check out my WIP posts on Flickr: My link
  7. I think minifig capes would be too small. I would do like I did with Captain Rex's Kama, and use 2x4 tiles around the "utility belt" area instead.
  8. Ever since Doc e-mailed me about using my Trash Compactor moc, I thought this was a great idea! Nothing like the hope of having your build on the front page to get builders to really try their best.
  9. This is a great idea and a nice gesture, man! I'll take the rebellion symbol of course!
  10. Like I said on Mocpages, this is awesome! I love how you recreated the doorway of the bridge. I'm also not too sure about Boba's look, but I LOVE IG88!
  11. You have mastered this scale well, young Padawan! Like I said on Flickr, it's nice to see these guys "for real". I really like how Veers turned out too. As far as the slopes of the helmet, you could just use dark gray cheese slopes on the sides of the head rather than a 2x2 tile.
  12. This turned out pretty nice! The railing is the best part. If I were you, I would take a pic where you can't see the bottom of the moc to give the appearance that they're up in the air. Also, even though the deadline is Oct 31, you probably could squeeze in a later entry if you wanted to tweek that antenna thing.
  13. Nice work here, Masked! I too love the AT-AT leg, although, as you said, the foot isn't entirely accurate. The fact that these stack up really does it for me, though.
  14. Very cool little scene, but where's R2?
  15. I wonder if these pieces would work around the front of the cockpit: My link
  16. Very nice work, Doc! The overall shaping is nice, and, of course, great SNOT work. I don't know why you don't just use some 3x3 rounded plates for the cockpit. It would block the viewport, but who cares?
  17. That is one of the best (and one of the only) midi Tantive IVs I've seen! I would just erase that Falcon from the pic, though...
  18. I don't have the right words to describe how utterly amazing this is! I loved the build, THEN I saw how you used the lights! Unbelieveble!
  19. Can't believe I didn't comment on this earlier. The 2nd version is definately an improvement! I love the more "expressive" heads you used to convey what's going on in the scene. Very nice work!
  20. Thanks! I went through several different designs for the belt, believe it or not. For some reason, I think those vent pieces look closest to the "real" thing.
  21. This is awesome! Like others have stated, the wings and SNOT work are beautiful.
  22. Very nice work, man! That Taun Taun looks great! I particularly like the parts usage for the head and the parts used for the "arms". Personally, I would've used hinge plates/bricks to make the legs and feet poseable, but I don't think it's necessary.
  23. Thanks! I was definately trying to give him an "evil glare".
  24. HAHA! LOve the mixture of themes/movies here! The fact that Liam Neeson played both characters adds to the humor. Awesome and very original!
  25. Thanks, everybody and thanks to lightningtiger for the B-Day wishes too!
