  1. FYI for those in the US, Amazon.com is offering the Claas at 25% off (or $135).
  2. yay for the firetruck! I've been wanting to add a Technic version to my fire collection without paying through the nose for the older ones
  3. This; I also tried it with a spare 3L flex tube and it's a no-go. LDraw lied to you
  4. and the tractor tires are MUCH lighter too
  5. I have the base and while it is not the best, it is a great way to RC some creator sets (like the new motor home!) so it has its uses :)
  6. Great looking bike! And I'm glad you made a Guzzi as I am a Nuovo Falcone owner myself ;)
  7. Looks good. IMO it looks like the hood slopes down a little too much (it might just be the angle in the firs pic) but other than that good stuffs. I like seeing the old Model Team style, not much of it around anymore!
  8. Can you imagine if this used a BuWizz on Ludicrous mode?
  9. Congrats! Super looking forward to this now. Makes my in progress MOC that much better as I can now scrap the RC control unit I was looking at having to use with my RC motors!
  10. *crosses fingers* technically you only need 11 more people to support the 2 BuWizz special and it gets funded! (at least last I checked)
  11. yes, yes, even though I mentioned you can use it without, DO get the reader. I have one and it is a blast. Even fun to make the kit RC too! I am actually in the process of making a MOC using the code reader
  12. you can use a modern battery box, and either the AA or AAA will work but you will need these in order to connect the battery box to the motors.
  13. Whelp, went ahead and backed for 2 units. Hopefully it will make it! Only 4 days left and still need $9300. I think the stretch goals were announced a little late so I'm not holding my hopes up for Ludicrous speed
  14. Sure, but you will only get the on/off functions operated by the battery box. The sensors will not work without the code pilot, or, as some have done before, you can use an NXT brick. Basically you will have to manually control the motors for each function and will not have sounds.
  15. Wow really? Auction or online store? I really am looking for a parts donor!
  16. Great looking product (I'm still on the fence as I will be moving when the will be shipping units out t backer) but oh man...if this passes there goes the price of buggy motors
  17. Great model! Loved the video at the end; you just went with it, lol!
  18. I drive both city and airport fire rescue crash trucks but TLG doesn't like to make too many of those in technic
  19. So... I was wondering since I am coming out of my dark ages and purchasing Technic to replenish my supplies, I recently bought the following lot on eBay for 200 Euro and this is what is looked like when it arrived: (sorry for the phone pics :-p ) And then after a few days of going though all the instruction books and re-attaching pieces, they all look like this: Needless so say, all models pictured (except a few Town theme models) have their instructions and are in fully working order. Almost all are 100% complete and a few are missing just a little. (i.e. the Air Tech's smoke stacks and horns). The Red Bird Team plane is on its way (the seller forgot to send it). Bottom line.....did I get too zealous or is was this a good deal to up the stocks of parts for MOC-ing? (I already have a few studless sets). Thanks! -Dan
  20. Congrats to the winners and thanks to all who participated. It was great fun seeing all the model entries.
  21. Not sure if anyone has seen video, but it is in English and has some great really close-up shots. One take-away to note is that it looks like the PTO is only in the rear.
