  1. "How did this happen? There must have been something in my drink..." Tholeau realized he must have fallen into the sea. He woke up, only wearing his hood and his underwear, on an island with a few thin trees, but not a lot more. He decided to walk along the shore, trying to find anything useful. The hood he tied up to a bandanna. "What is that! A canoe! Poseidon hasn't abandoned me after all!" But he was a little bit unsure. Whose canoe was it? "Hello! Is anyone around?" he yelled. No one answered. He felt more secure, so after taking the only paddle he said: "Can I take your canoe? Who doesn't disagree agrees!" He took it. He didn't know what direction to take, so he just went towards the sun. After a few days in the hot sunshine he saw land! He was very thirsty, so he went towards it, hoping to find water to drink. His hope was crushed when he realized that the entire island was burned to the ground, but he went ashore anyway. Going up a small hill he found something red. It was a cup. It was empty. "Why do you mock me Poseidon!? What have I done?!" He took the cup with him, and returned to the canoe. The sun was setting, so he went towards the moon instead of the sun. A few days later he had found a few small islands, but no water. He was getting desperate. Yet another island was sighted. Lots of rocks. After a short walk he heard it. Running water. After some searching around he understood that is was underground. He went into a cave. "Water! Oh Poseidon, you are cruel." He used his new cup and began drinking. More and more. He felt how the water was doing him good. He felt more alive that ever before. Strange. His arms and legs began feeling shorter. His hair was creeping inwards, into his skin. He was shrinking! It was too late. The magical water in the cave made his ageing go backwards, turning him into nothing. Only the cup and the bandanna was left. Nothing more. So, this was my take on the fountain of youth - a very hard challenge!
  2. This is the first part of the faction quest to discover the hidden artefact on Île de Zeus. It was a peaceful day on Île de Zeus. There hadn't been as much fog as usual and this young lad, Gawyn, ventured into the forest hoping to find a nice place to make a treehouse. Suddenly there was a noise behind him. He turned, and when he saw the reason for the noise he screamed! He even dropped his axe. "Aaaaaaah!!!" "Don't you worry lad! If I would want to harm you I wouldn't have made that sound. I'm Herid Fel, and I'm a scientist. I've lived with the natives for some time now." Gawyn relaxed. He hadn't met any natives who could speak his language with such a nice accent. "You see lad, This tribe has things to tell us, or rather you, now. My companion here would like to see the chief. Eh, I mean... Mayor or military commander. There is something in the forest they should know about." "Oh, well that's a'right then! I know both the mayor and the commander!" "Well lad, could you take us to any of them?" "Sure! This way mister scientist man!" While they began walking the two natives began to speak, but nothing that Gawyn could understand. Critics and comments are welcome! I didn't have time for a setup with a nice background, and the light was... Bogus. A few more pictures can be found at my Flickr page.
  3. Well, that's life. :-) Am I allowed to have -10 at the change of the month?
  4. Strange... I had 4, sent 4 to Dukesc, and then have -10..?
  5. What does it mean when a number is within brackets, like (10)?
  6. The roof is wonderful! I do like how you used flags in your nations colours!
  7. Thanks! It's more 1x1 tiles that I imagined first. Thanks! I thought a bit about it before I started to build. Actually my first attempt I tore down, just to fit the coal bin. Well, there's no big secret. The roof is held in place by friction, There's plates on the underside of the roof that holds it in place on the walls. Then there was a hole on the top, so Just laid some 1x1 round bricks there. The wooden door doesn't have a mechanism. There wasn't enough place, and since I was out of regular doors I brickbuild one. The other door is for a storage area, but since you won't be able to see the inside, it's empty. Thank you! I haven't been in that kind of shop, but as the King and Queen was coming to town you'd like to have it clean if they would want to pop in! Thanks! The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire! Thank you! On purpose I made sure the tiles wasn't completely straight. I agree about the chimney. I wanted a 4x4 out of the roof, but I still wanted a little fireplace on the second floor, so I had to compensate. Thank you! Thanks! I couldn't imagine that it would be this well received!
  8. Beautiful building! It sure looks Eslandolaian! I really like how you can see that the roadway has been used by carts and carriages!
  9. Master Luhhans Forge | Medium artisan | License active
  10. This build was supposed to be published in April, but a lack of time made this my first FB for May instead. This is one of Breshauns blacksmiths. As most works are done for the citizens, and on small scale, I consider this as an artisan. The roof is made with the same technique as in one of my Challenge 2 builds, but on a larger size. It's possible to lift the sections of roof to access the inside. This building is modular, and can be placed together with The Sunshine Market and Le Parc du Philip for a larger display. The building itself can be opened up in the middle, revealing the interior. On this side of the ground floor we have Master Luhhan working the forge with his new apprentice sharpening an axe. Behind Luhhan there is a bellow to heat the forge. You can also see the upstairs fireplace, two quenching barrels and one and a half anvil. The other half of the anvil is on the other side of the split. Here we have a coal storage, some raw metal rods and a few of the finished and unfinished works. The top floor has not much: a bed, table and stools and a shelf for all the necessary paperwork. With the two halves of the build combined, you can get a better idea of the interior. Critics and comments are welcome! A few more pictures can be found at my Flickr page.
  11. Thanks! To be honest, that's my first brickbuilt tree, that ain't just stacked 2x2 round bricks. It's hard to make anything organic.
  12. Le Parc du Philip - Large art and cultural - license active
  13. Le Parc du Philip | Robinnilsson403 | Oleon Licensed as a large cultural.
  14. This is my entry for the coronation festivities, taking place in Breshaun. Le Parc du Philip, or Philips Park was hastily built when the mayor of Breshaun, Darlin Sisnera, received the news that the royal couple would visit his town. Even emissaries from Corrington has joined the crowd in the park to see the new king and queen. The citizens has flags in the nations colours and a couple of priests are ready to bless anybody who wishes it. Some protesters stand to the side, waiting to give their message that the natives in the new colonies should be left alone. Critics and comments are welcome! A few more pictures can be found at my Flickr page.
  15. We could always conquer "that other island" bearing the name of our king, and rename it after the queen.
  16. My vote for names of the new islands are Pharos for island 8, and Île Philipin, in honour of our king, for island 3.
  17. The Sunshine Market is now licensed as a small commerce!
  18. If I want to license a large culture, do I have to build a small and medium first, or can I just pay for them and only build the large one?
  19. I like this idea! Especially since those big ships could take years to build IRL.
  20. As there is a new set of rules, the settlement must also have one cultural and one educational property to advance to the next level.
  21. Aw man... As always you make me feel bad over my mediocre builds, since you always come up with something amazing! I almost had hoped you wouldn't post this on time. The pile of rounds for the cannons, the walls, the tower... Amazing!
  22. Awesome build! I love the roof and the tower! The fire and smoke looks convincing as well!
  23. With only the name I thought it was going to be a property for the settlement, but then I saw this awesome ship! I love the colours and the lines!
