LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

The design itself is not bad but there are several issues with it: - Lego fed us up with snowspeeder throughout the years ( one in 2014, yet another in 2016 and a UCS in 2017 ). - This is a remake of an existing UCS set. - I don't usually mind stickers, but that many on a UCS set is a let down. - Sick and tired of named pilots using the same face print. In a UCS set of all things. I'm eagerly awaiting what kind of May of the 4th fig we are gonna get... -

So two mini-figs, one of which is Zev. The ship looks nice but man what a sticker fest. -
Your best prices from a major retailer?
RetroInferno replied to BubbaFit45531's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Clearances are always at the discretion of the managers: you find the best deals in relativly low traffic areas, especially book stores and the such. Where I live the best deals are 30% off max; and honestly you are better off waiting for amazon deals than anything else.- 16 replies

Yes! The episode is so dark when you think about it: in the opening a whole shipement crago and fighter escort gets blown up, meaning the resistance forces they would have helped died STARVING. I also loved the Star wars: TIE Fighter vibes with the trainning pods, the orange elite stripes on the interceptors and how the instructor wrecked everyone's buisness.

Maul always felt unecessery, even his Clone Wars appearance was a long strech. This time though he's the character that takes most of the season's panel artwork and since they dropped ''Dark ezra'' he was a rather pointless character, except if you consider that the pay off was worth it, which I'm not certain. Like everyone I really like Empire centric episodes: 5. The Last Battle 4. Hera's Heroes 3. Secret Cargo 2. Antilles Extraction 1. Through Imperial Eyes. And yes from the trailers the attack on Lothal won't happen as Thrawn discover the base's location. It's assumed the base will be under siege and Ezra will contact the mandalorians to achieve whatever. Thrawn will most probably direct ground operations as we see him in his shuttle with an escort of Death Troopers, which I sincerely wish they get some love ( They get blown up by an unseen explosion before Baze finishes them off in Rogue One which was lame in my opinion. ) My final prediction is that the Rebels will get utterly wrecked in the space battle ( TIE defender love please ) and suffer some heavy losses on the ground assault before reaching some sort of status quo. Mandalorians will finally show up thanks to Ezra and cause enough chaos for some of the Rebels to escape. One main protagonists will die, most probably Zeb fighting Death Troopers, and the base will get destroyed. I think Kallus will be used in season 4 if they play their cards right. But I swear if Thrawn gets killed... there will be riots.

Don't talk about it, I just did that too, with both K2 and Death troopers at 20$ CAN each... After all Tie fighters always look best in pairs I also took the free amazon prime trial but remember to unsubscribe before 30 days or they are going to automitically charge you for a whole year.

I just finished building the latest Y-wing and there's a small sticker you apply to the bomb loading service crane in aurebesh. It simply spells ''Danger'', I love those small details. -
A named Rebel pilots and Cantina characters BP would be awesome. In any case Lego seems to be going in the good direction with the recent BPs; the bounty hunters are a real treat.

Star Wars Constraction 2017 Discussion and Rumors
RetroInferno replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I think there's a fine line between a strong character and a Mary Sue. Explainning how the Milenium Falcon works to Han Solo and beating a warrior who wiped out every apprentices trained by Luke Skywalker with no justifications as for her background ( a scavenger on a outback planet ) is not being strong, that's poor writing. Imagine the duel in Empire Strikes Back, only Luke learns vague notions of the force once he arrives on Bespin, never held a lightsaber in his hands and yet manages to beat the shit out of Vader. I have empathy for the character but she's the second coming of christ power wise. -
I'm glad this arc is finally over, I was incredibly bored with Maul centric episodes. And now we are the finale? So what happenned in the third season? - The arc with Dark Ezra was dropped in favor of a dry and boring Sabine side story. - Thrawn has been completly set aside as a ''Let them Go'' figure, he's only scary if you are a factory operator on Lothal or a covert up agent. It seems like an incredible waste of a character and he will likely be made a fool of himself in the finale at this point. - How many episodes were plot centric? The openning, Through Imperial Eyes, Mandalorian support and I imagine the finale. The sheer number of filler episodes, even though some of them were good, has been stagering. I also wanted to get back at the episode with Mon Mothma and how crap the formation of the Rebel Alliance was handled. ''Hey guys, let's all conveniently join our forces right now! I hope you are all watching my transmition through hidden channels at the same time and having ships at the ready for hyper drive manoeuvers! I hope you trust me, I'm a senator and this couldn't in any way be a trap'' Of course I liked some of the episodes, The Antiles Extraction and Through Imperial Eyes were fantastic, Zeb, AP-5 and Chopper were the highlight of the group. ( Zeb was given a single episode, which he shared with both AP-5 and Chopper, poor guy ). It doesn't however excuse in my opinion how filler heavy the season was and how reliant on ''member this'' for people to continue watching the show. At this point all I want is for Thrawn to be handled correctly in the last episode, but I know this won't happen, likely because mandalorians will show up at the last minute when Thrawn has them at their mercy, he will say '' Whaaaatttt? '', his ship will get blown up by a single proton torpedo launched from the Ghost and Hera will say something like ''don't mess with my droids'' with a smug face. He will then have to report to the emperor, admit his failure, gets send to the outer rim dealing with pirates and they will tease the next mustache twirling villain of season 4, probably an half Maul half Droid secret apprentice with a british accent. I may have gone too far in a few places.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
RetroInferno replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I doubt we are getting a super star destroyer, by the description and time frame it looks more like the Finalizer from TFA. Twice the lenght of an ICSD but not quite a SSD. Shoving Zuckuss in there seems highly unlikely. -

To be fair Lego officially revealed this set back at the Toy Fair. I would have liked legs printing for Dengar too. -

Even if it's the last one inluded in the ISSD the fig is not horribly outdated like Bossk, although I wouldn't spit on a specialised head mold. -

It certainly looks that way, although I have no clue about what they used for the eyes, it's almost copper? As for Bossk I'm pretty sure it's the same head mold as the previous version, but thankfully in Olive green like you mentionned and the eye print seems a bit different. The yellow also seems darker but the shot is really poor. -
Will do once I get my Ipad back, I have to say Krennic looks rather nice with a row of Death Troopers and specialists at his side. I also bought the terrorists trooper battle pack 75164, with all the previous RO sets the variety is stunning.
-
I've aquired another copious amount of the Imperial troopers battle packs. My battle on Scariff display is getting rather crowded!

That pretty much confirms the may the fourth promo. I don't know how to feel about it; it's a nice build and it's different, but I would have liked either Saw or Galen better. -
What was the last movie you watched?
RetroInferno replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Jesus I was a wreck for 3 days after watching this movie. I also watched Logan, I should stop watching depressing movies for a while. -
Is that moc the reason trans half cylinders are near impossible to buy on Bricklink?

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
RetroInferno replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I've just red on BrickFan that Lego would be cancelling store exclusive sets due to the many complaints ( I guess most of the community here is shopping online, but I think it's the right decision for casual families shopping for sets, especially at a Lego store, and not being able to pick this or that ). Hopefully that means no surprise sets showing up much later after the leaks? -
My only complaint is Hera blowing the enemy transport via power of plot convenience. What the hell was that? The rest of the episode was funny, AP's singing was really nice!
-
Yeah but thanks to Krennic they had no idea what that weakness could be, he shot the enitre innocent staff on Eadu, before the Rebels killed everyone. I imagine other plans of the Death Star existed other than the one on Scariff but no one familiar enough to analyze everything quickly enough. And I don't think killing Thrawn would be any wise, Tarkin blew up Scariff because the situation was out of control and they already breached the data vault. Krennic was an added ironic bonus. Thrawn is a very valuable strategist and never seeked powers beyond his reach like Krennic, killing him would be meh.

I think the only reason is the front section is so jagged is because they wanted to include a hidden frontal cannon to the thing, which is a shame. The original barge has a very smooth front section.
