I started reading S.P.Q.R by Mary Beard, the story of rome and how we learned about it is truly fascinating, the writer also goes ways to search for the various perspectives of the events without ever going into what people may thought or could have done, or passing judgement. Highly professionnal and a damn good read.

@Oky You'd swear that with the millions of cash they are pumping into this the design team could pull something innovative design wise. At least now they are slightly altering things whereas TFA SWITCHED the color of the main line TIE and called it a day. I hate the prequels but they succeeded in creating some very iconic designs, which were later used by the much better Clone Wars animated serie. Let's remove the T shaped command center from the star destroyer and call it a First Order star destroyer; for the AT-AT make it twice the size, put some more guns on it, it's gonna be cool! Let's not make anything new that may shock the audience or be slightly daring! At this point have Snoke summon the six bounty hunters; Bombur Fett, Ig-89, 5-LOM, Suckuss, Lizard Man and fan favourite Dongar. @Ashnflash Kylo Ren ship is the exact mix of a TIE phantom cockpit with the wings of the main line TIE advanced from the TIE fighter game. I feel like were are treated like some kind of nostalgic dumbasses that scream in the theatre everythime they recognize something from the first trilogy. Of course I'm gonna go see the new movie, I just don't want to sit there like an idiot replaying ESB in my head for the duration of the movie because of TFA, and getting treated like some kind of idiot by the producers. I feel for the guy responsible of this movie, JJ abrahams had no freacking plan of continuation for the events or the characters and the script of the movie is A new hope with switched out names. How do you proceed then to not make anything that is empire strikes back is extremly hard.

I got both Battle packs, it's almost liberating getting all these bounty hunters in a cheap way. I'm probably gonna get the transformation chamber next.

I think I have an Imperial mini-fig addiction. Both the Hover Tank and AT-ST I have modded, I'm sitting waitting for my brick arms shipment to properly outfit my bounty hunters. I forgot about adding a random mini-fig with a shopped ''Zuckuss'' caption on it's face with the rest of the crew but oh well.

Wow those pics of the star destroyer; it's is surprinsingly ''small'' compared to the 2014 one once all openned up. I'm quite hyped up for the rest of the images tonight!

I just quickly compared the 2014 star destroyer with the new one and it looks bigger. Is it based on the Finalizer?? I don't know who was hired to design to the box art template but IMO he did a shit job of it. He literally slapped 3 promotionnal shot on plain white with some red logo behind it. I can't stand it. Was that ever a thing slapping live action actors photos on Lego boxes?

Tilda Swinton, now I can't unsee... I share Forresto's feelings about these sets, I'm really not into this new trilogy but I'll take any cool looking Imperial captial ship that's for damn sure and this one looks really nice, really digging all those plating details, especially the ingot pieces. Not too much a fan of all these stud shooters but they don't pop out too much. Hurrah for the sergeant pauldron included in the set too. I don't care about the bomber much, this color palette really turns me off. The heavy assault walker looks really weird, I don't know about this one. My only gripe is the number of mini-figs included with the Star Destroyer, 5 excluding the admitedly cool black bb-8 for that much cash, especially since 2 of these can be found in a single battlepack is a bit dissapointing. Sure there's snoke in it but just bricklink the ancient one from Dr. Strange. I may even bricklink the ship only.

I also had that in mind, then made the fatal mistake of creating a mini-fig wish-list on bricklink and stumbled on a store with everything relativly cheap. ''Hello Pay-Pal my old friend''

I saw an obscure toys r us add that it was a give away with 40$ purchase on Star Wars lego that lasts a week ( ending may 25th ) in Canada. I visited my local store and they didn't had any. In the US I believe you could get them at Lego Land. That hardly sounds widely available in NA, I'm gonna wait and see...

Favorite 2016 set of the year would make the most sense I think. Maybe dividing it into 3 categories, constraction figures, battlepacks and regular sets ( UCS included ) and make a poll with elimination rounds.

Erm I'm really hoping this finds its way on the official lego online shop; R3-M2 is still illusive for NA.

Yeah I don't know about Slave Leia, it's still one of the most sought after mini-fig on average, Disney sure owns the general license but I don't think they would go after Lego if they wanted to remake the mini-fig and spit on some basically free cash. But hey, the bounty hunter BP hapenned so anything is possible :P

Trust me when I say that I had those exact thoughts. Plus I wanted 2014 Jabba's palace and the Rancor Pit. I went with the third option, bricklinked a couple mini-figs of each sets to make up for it. Just remember that all of the starwars sets are bound to be remade at some point and are mostly better models than the previous, which mini-figs aside 6210 is an odd ball. I really doesn't like the nose of the 2014 barge.

That set sure provides a really cheap way for a good Vader and Emperor figs. Mine would go for the Bounty Hunters BP, and the NOOOOO! set second. The rest of the wave is pretty boring, except maybe for hover tank for clone war enthusiasts.

They did get back on track but generally speaking the only over the top detailed mini-figs from the top of my head are 2014 Luke, 2014 Veers and I still hate the old Obi Wan's face from 2014 onward.

Jesus I'm glad they got rid of that Luke's face, it's I think that Dash Rendar looks awesome except for the hair color, it would look much better in light brown.

Not considered ''Lego'' per say but I gave Brickarms a shot and bought some gun models + blaster pack. Let's see how it goes :)

I get their criticism about certain aspects of Rogue One. I listenned to their live commentary track of it and they explain better their views on some criticism. Sure some of it is over cynical in the video but there are different ways of enjoying star wars. Rogue One put a lot of emphasis on ships, weapons and battle, a more technical aspect that I enjoy a lot. Their complain as more to do about some of the characters; Jynn doesn't get a proper back story in between she's a little girl and locked up, and how the story goes. The whole Eadu section could have been swapped for giving more time to the characters and Scariff could have been a plan to infiltrate the facility mission impossible style up until things go awry and cue in the Rebel Fleet and the on the ground battle. That would have been better, since honestly the Eadu act is somewhat of a drag.

Thing is Vader isn't a new fig. I have to go with the Death Trooper specialist.
