[MOC] UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'
phaelon replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Several of us have bricklinked this. As usual, if you go with used, your cost will be low; new is high. Mine was around $1200 with 95% new parts (you can't get everything new as some parts of no longer produced). I seem to recall others on here getting closer to $800 because they went almost all used. -
Sorry to hear you're having to "part" with your build so soon. Hope everything works out for you!

[MOC] 1: 250 Mini UCS Rebel Transport GR-75 [LDD file]

Thank you both for the summarized information. Obviously there is some personalization going on based on aesthetic preferences. :) What color for the 2x2 corner tiles, white? -

I'm about to order the pieces for 3 of these to go with my Nebulon-B. Could those of you who have built the model provide a summary on the updates to the LDD parts list, and guidance on how to generate the necessary building instructions? I'm not comfortable enough in LDD to extricate the various layers to see the hidden bits. -

I know I will be building several of these, because with all the scale models you've put together this will make a great diorama. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! -
The last 10% of the list took the most amount of time and money for me. MANY 1 and 2 lot purchases from several stores. Also have had to replace some parts from a seller who sold new parts that were all but destroyed ($8 "new umbrella" that was bent and discolored). Considering the volume of parts, this is to be expected though.

Cjd suggested light bley for all of them. I went ahead and got some black. I'm sure dark gray will work too. Either way it should be added to that list, as you said.
-
I have an XML file that I am waiting to send to Cjd so he can distribute it as part of the package.
-
Looks great! If I could offer one suggestion... could you change "Instructions and Sticker by Cjd223" to "Documentation by Cjd223", and maybe move it down to the bottom right corner? "Sticker" sounds very Duplo to me. If you want to keep something like that in there, then at least change it to "decal". Also, though it's used as a medical frigate in ESB, it could also be used as an escort frigate. Perhaps drop the "medical" adjective?

Yep, my first orders came in today as well. I just finished verifying everything, and with the exception of having a color mismatch (light gray vs light blue gray), everything was accounted for. What a pain counting all these tinies!

Just curious why you can't buy it for $0.48? https://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?P=91049&colorID=67

Specfically, this Clone Turbo Tank. Note that the slope piece is pending approval, so no part code for it yet. Thanks for finding it Chupa.
-
Cjd stated he would work one up and add it to the instructions. Also note that there is not a stand as part of the parts list, so you'll need to design your own for the plaque.
-
Yeah, trying to BL this much from one wishlist is very tedious. But it's much easier than it was 6 months ago when I did Anio's Venator. You're very welcome.
-
I made all of mine light bley, because that is very common.

I have an XML ready to send to Cjd with the updated errata included. I am hoping he will package it with the other files like Anio does for importing purposes. -
[MOC] Millennium Falcon - Still the coolest spaceship!
phaelon replied to marshal_banana's topic in LEGO Star Wars
When I spoke with him, there was no such file to be shared... -
Well that certainly changes the tone of this thread for me. Up until this point I've been admiring from afar. Knowing that at some point you intend to organize and release your work is a breath of fresh air. Thank you for that! You might consider updating your original post to reflect this new philanthropic position of yours. :)

I'm about to send an update list to Cjd to accommodate for all the discrepancies. In the case of 76302, you want 75c10.
-
Any update for the files reflecting these latest changes?
-
On the other end of the spectrum, I ordered 95% new parts (there are some that are just not available new) from North American source, and it was $1100 including shipping.

Mortesv's UCS Nebulon-B Medical Frigate INSTRUCTIONS AVAILABLE
phaelon replied to Cjd223's topic in LEGO Star Wars
For any of you working this list, there are about 10 or so parts whose color options do not align with the Rebrickables list. In this case, the Rebrickables list is the one to use. However, there are two parts that still do not exist in the color indicated. I'm awaiting a response from Cjd223 for clarification. Then I'll update him with all the changes so he can push out a revision. Also, for those who insist on buying new, there are some pieces you will not find in new condition. -
