Congratulations to all winners. It was great contest with many diverse and interesting entries. I really enjoyed it.

I'm thinking about making instructions - probably just in format of LDraw model. At least for the cabin and frame. But it will take a time.

I was thinking about it and I agree with you. That's why I'm asking. So I will keep it for myself :-)

Is it allowed to post preliminary results during the voting? I made a simple script so I'm able to see it and I can share there the actual unofficial order.

12: 1032: 634: 420: 319: 21: 1 It was very dificult to choose just 6 MOCs. All of the entries are really good and I believe everyone enjoyed the building like me did.

[MOC] CLAAS LEXION 760
RabbiT_CZ replied to eric trax's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is really incredible scale model. I like the agricultural machinery and the lime Class color scheme is just amazing on this LEGO model. -
Yes, there will be a lot of bricks from the Arocs for sure. But there are also parts from the Unimog, some white parts ordered via Bricklink and from the other sets including a lot of parts from the Creator (classic plates, tiles, ...). The Unimog and Arocs are my only sets with pneumatic parts so I used all but one cylinder from them. I'm not sure if there will be instructions. I don't plan it now. I have some early version of the frame in the LDCad but then it was changed from the original idea several times. This is custom sticker. Also the Atego label, Mercedes logo and Bluetec 6 logo are custom. It is just printed on an uncoated self adhesive paper. I know that the quality is not best but it served pretty well.

Thank you. The tipping with one cylinder is not ideal but I was limited by cylinders I have. The dumping body is pretty heavy so mainly because of this I had to add the second pump to be able to raise the body in a reasonable time. The first version also had the cylinder under more shallow angle and it was almost impossible to raise the body.

Finally I made all the photos and video for the TC10 entry. The final MOC has minor changes from the original plan. The trash compacting is controlled by separated valve and to increase responsiveness there are two pumps instead of one. Final functions: Bin lifting and dumping by two 2x11 cylinders Waste compacting by one 1x11 cylinder Body dumping by one 2x7 cylinder Tail gate opening by one 1x5 cylinder Cabin tilting by one 2x7 cylinder Two pneumatic pumps powered by L-Motor Other functions: HoG steering connected to cabin steering wheel Solid axle suspension on both axis Fake I4 engine connected to rear live axle Openable doors Battery access and remote battery switch Here is the required video (sorry for low quality as I was unable to get a decent video camera, so it is done on my smartphone): All photos are here: http://bricksafe.com/pages/RabbiT_CZ/atego

Huge Lot of Technic on eBay
RabbiT_CZ replied to aeh5040's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This seller is selling Lego by weight from 1/4lb to 50 lb so I don't think this is fake (http://stores.ebay.com/The-Brick-Bank/Technic-/_i.html?_fsub=15319245017). This 4.5t offer is just some kind of add like it was mentioned above. I don't expect someone will buy such huge amount of the Lego. The logistic would be crazy. -

Tatra Dakar Truck
RabbiT_CZ replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looking incredible good. It is understandable that it hasn't unique TATRA chassis but it still performs really well. And of course it makes me feel proud to see Czech truck from of my favorite company TATRA made from LEGO. -
I think than now the steps are sometimes really simple. I agree that it is easier for kids to build it but back in 90's the steps where more complex and kids were also able to build it (based on my experience :-) ). Otherwise I prefer thick books over the slim ones. They look more representative and the manipulation with them is easier than stacking several parts of slim books.

Hi all, As an entry to the TC10 contest I would like to try to make a side loaded recycling truck based on Mercedes Atego chassis. The pneumatic is powered by single L Motor and it will be using 7 cylinders. I'm building it for a while so the actual progress is from the first chassis mock-up to current state. Planned functions Pneumatic functions will be following: Side loading of trash bins Trash compacting Body dump Tail gate opening Cabin tilting Other functions: Hog steering connected to cabin steering wheel Fake I4 engine Front and rear suspension Schema of pneumatic system Inspiration The idea is build something like this: with Mercedes Atego 4x4 chasis: Actual progress: Cabin design

This is excellent model with so many details. I like the shovel on the front fender - is it Duplo? -
[MOC] Liebherr 900C
RabbiT_CZ replied to RabbiT_CZ's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you. The tubing still can be improved. I was limited by hoses I have from my only pneumatic set - the 42043. And of course I didn't want to cut some of them. So inside it is pretty stuffed. Also I had to use one gray hose for one of the large cylinders, which is not perfect. Agree that the Volvo tubing can be much better, but otherwise it will be good source of pneumatic for MOCs. -
Hi all, I would like to present you my latest MOC. It is a wheeled excavator based on the Liebherr 900C. The goal was to made it remote controlled by using the SBrick and with manual pneumatics system. I started with a blueprint of the Liebherr 900C and made a rough model in the LDCad. The final model is in scale of approximately 1:16.7. The wheeled undercarriage is 33 studs long and 19 studs wide. There are 4 remote controlled functions. These are using 4 motors - 3 L motors and 1 M motor. L motor - rear wheel drive, front wheel steering, air pump M motor - platform rotation All motors are in the rotated platform. The drive and steering goes through the turntable by using the clutch gear for two coaxial functions. Thus the platform can be rotated in 360 degrees without limitations. (The only downside is that during rotation of the platform it is slowly moving and steering.) The boom has three manual functions and it is composed form two parts plus bucket. There are two large pneumatic cylinders, one long cylinder and one small. All pneumatics are controlled by switches behind the cabin. The last manual function is extension of rear outriggers. It is done by a small knob in the rear part. Outriggers are extended by small linear actuators. I will also try to make my first video :-) Pneumatic hoses + SBrick + battery pack. Motors are bellow the pneumatics and the SBrick All photos

Garage Find Old Technic Sets
RabbiT_CZ replied to ACPin's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice to see my first two sets 8022 and 8816 in a box next to each other. I don't even remember how the box looked :-) -
Hi all, Recently I wanted to try to modify the 42037 Formula Off-Roader with the SBrick remote control and Power Functions. It is done with two L-motors for rear-wheel drive and the servo for steering. It is little bit larger modification but the shape is still close to original. Only the back of the buggy is bigger to accommodate the large battery box. It is capable of riding in a short grass and even climbing to a moderate hill. The final gear ratio is 1:2.334 but can be easily changed for higher speed on a smooth surface. If you are interested, here is the LDraw file: 42037_-_formula_off_roader_sbrick.mpd (original by Philo). PS: On the photo are different front springs as the front is very light and I wanted softer suspension.
