  1. I live in Northern Texas. We got sleet, sleet, sleet, rain, snow (in that order). Enough ice to cancel local school for 2 days straight. I wish I just had snow like you did, I just spent an hour cracking ice on our sidewalk with a baseball bat to get it off. Now It's pretty hard to type. What's worse is that, when all this melts away, they're going to have the Super Bowl about half a mile north of me.
  2. Yeah. That name seems appropriate for the Witch Doctor, being called 'the Quack!', which I believe is common slang for a bad doctor. And, I certaintly do like how Creep Crushers 3.0 is coming along and how they replaced the industrial setting of CC2.0 with a run-down jungle setting in CC3.0.
  3. No, I remember my Scarab Attack being in two small bags.
  4. Yes. Shall I go on to list them?
  5. 'Transformers' has a fanbase that seems to be at least the size of Lego's.
  6. Very good. *clap*
  7. Interesting MOC. I'm just amazed by the mechanical functions, as all the math stuff just went straight over my head. Now, I feel like building a miniature one.
  8. I just built this out of my own pieces, and you can fit a minfig in the cockpit.....that is, if they are a bald child. I also tried the function on my version and it is very fluid- I love it!
  9. I love this. Taking a Lego toy (made in the wooden era) and make a similar thing out of modern Lego seems like a great idea for a contest!
  10. I am okay with both, and I like to mix them up to the point where my City has Fleshies and Yellows living side-by-side in perfect harmony. The only problem is that it is an eyesore when you mix up Fleshie heads with Yellow torsos or the other way around, so I avoid that.
  11. Welcome to Eurobricks! It is nice too see another member who keeps their sets together insted of breaking them apart immediately.
  12. Now that I have seen a video showing the functions, I'm sold. Running to my nearest store when this comes out. Oh, and I may eventually add power drive to it, which I am sure many are planing to do. Let's see it I can do it with minimal modifications....
  13. While I am a purist, I think that cutting the bucket sounds like a great idea(since you know what you are doing). However, I think that any brick-built buckets would be too weak to use. But, that depends on the design. Whatever floats your boat.
  14. I always loved the mini sets, and I now yearn for this set. While the gears are common and the piece count small, this is an amazingly humble set. The gearing is more complex than the other mini sets, and it fits in aesthetically with bigger kits. i give this set a high rating. Now to go out and buy multiples...
  15. Welcome! I took a look at your gallery, and you're good at what you do. Is this a hobby, or a professional career? If it is the latter, I hope to see your work in something.
  16. I have to say, thank you for this transmission of ideas! While this isn't purist, it is cheap, and I like cheap. Now let's see if there is some of that plastic railing-stuff at Hobby-Lobby....
  17. Oh, I see. Well, while I was waiting for your reply, I took a look at the techniques using the 'Hide Bricks' tool, and I'm going to try making one. Let's just hope Black Rock Shooter comes out looking right.
  18. Thank you! I see that the top hat is missing, but I'm okay with that. I like how you designed additional heads when you where doing the draft. Also, I can tell that the purple-haired head is Tsukasa from Lucky Star ( ), but I have no idea who the brown-haired head is supposed to be- mind telling me? Also, did you design this in Universe mode(Universe Mode Mod)? Now to go check out your MOC's structure...
  19. Let's add my type. Child at Heart: It does THAT!? Buying Habits: Impulse buys galore! If it looks nice, is cheap, or is functional, i'll snap it up. Sorting Method: The infamous bucket of loose pieces. Not enough to justify a detailed method! Building Space: An small desk next to the bucket. A good deal of scattered pieces. Philosophy: Minifigs are kings, and anything else if fodder. Now, let us see what other personalities fellow AFOLs come up with.
  20. My god. I didn't believe i'd ever see anything like this done as an MOC. Very good job. I very much like how you used various turntables and hinges to provide brick-built articulation. Now, if only I had a general guide. If so, I can see me making about 20 of these. Of course, if I post them, I'll give you full credit for design.
  21. What I would do is I would: >part out the Moc >check on Bricklink to see if the parts even exist in the color I want them in. >If they exist, I'd buy them, wait for the parts to come in, and assemble my Moc irl.
  22. I like it! The blocky style is a definite plus, and a thing I feel is missing from today's Lego Star Wars sets. good first MOC.
  23. -I rabidly study is internet culture (i.e. memes i.e. Troll, rickroll, etc.) , and one of my favorite memes is 'Desu'. -I also use this name on many other boards and websites. Therefore, I am a complex. Desu + A Complex = TheDesuComplex.
  24. Yeah, It seems like it would be around $110US. However, one must add in the high cost of Power functions. I thought it looked about $90, but the PF would probably make it around $110-120US.
  25. I think that there is SOME market for these sets. They may not sell well, though, because kids these days aren't into this kind of stuff anymore. A big example is the announcement that the Tinker Bell movies are going to be the last for a while, because most girls don't have grand dreams to become princesses anymore. They might not be bestsellers, but they probably won't be up on sale for 20 years. Then again, it's all up to Lego and Disney whether they want to make a "Classic Disney" theme.
