I definitely get those ominous vibes you mentioned, but I still find it a bit odd how robots use washcloths. I just find something in that statement to disagree with. I would've had Nitroblast say "What's a washcloth!?" after that line, but It's left as it is.

These are very good scans indeed. This comic is a very good one, albeit a bit short. Too bad they never picked up on the Fire Lord's story, it seems like a good one. How come Stormer doesn't remember? Also, why did the Fire Lord mention a washcloth? Why'd Nitroblast call the Heroes 'Bums'? All questions I want answered. (I'm guessing that, on the last one, the voice actor for Nitroblast in Ordeal of fire has an Irish/Scottish accent. I'd love that.)

I am against this! I play some online social games that use that system. While they certainly aren't going out of buisness anytime soon, I feel this has a negative impact on the community- Those who DON'T buy the virtual cash are called 'noobs/newbies' and looked down upon. I definitely don't want to see LU go this route, as I feel it'll be ruined by this.

I just grabbed 2112 Cole's Spinner, 2141 Surge 2.0, and 4738 Hagrid's Hut. I've built the first two, and I have to say that HF's new system is very promising. The Ninjago game is also pretty fun 9once you get someone to play with you ).

Very good review. You nailed the pattern of an academy review perfect. Now let's see you make more. On the actual set, I'd buy it. If I did buy it, I'd scrap the robot module and keep parts of the other modules for display. the pirate ship is definitely a good mini-ship. I, too, am surprised a kid designed that. The ski slope doesn't seem as bad as you say it is. sure, that hole is there, but the actual slop is cute. I also think the racetrack is nice. The robot, however, is bad. The scale kind of throws me of- If real, that thing would probably be around 20 to 25 meters tall! I also don't think the hinge joints used are the best. And, as you said, you can't beat that piece count.

Yeah, It's a new Technic piece. It came out just this winter in the 8069 Backhoe and 8067 Mini-Mobile Crane in Black. I see the ones on Witch Doctor as silver, however. If they are, i'm probably buying WD just for those.

My MOCs start with me fiddling around with pieces IRL, seeing how they fit, seeing how they can be used, etc. I only do LDD to render a finished MOC in a nice, shareable computer file. However, everyone is different, and you may start your MOCs differently. Just go with the flow and see how you start it.

Looks like you need to go buy a lifetime supply of bubble gum now. Seriously, this is a very good custom. Simple, yet pleasing. if this were a official minifig (when the world ends....), I'd buy at least a dozen.

I believe that there is a topic that already answers this question- Fleshies vs. Yellow. Members have already submitted about 3 pages worth of opinions, so I'd say to look there. I, myself, believe Classic Yellow and New Flesh can work out their differences and live in a world of peace.

Being the biggest Technic set I own currently own, I love this model. I feel it is worth the $60 for the mLA's and all the functions included. However, I do feel the mechanism for tilting the bucket is overly complicated. On the mLAs- I love them. They perform smoothly and well for their size, and are cheap too! I can definately see a Mini Garbage Truck or Mini Dump Truck that tips using a mLA.

Very Good! Excellent Color accuracy and the fact that these are my two favorite Lego clors may actually make me place some BrickForge orders now.

I have a ton of smaller sets and 3-4 $60 sets' so I definitely have the sources too review. However, I will have to get a good camera first. So ,don't give me access just yet. Very good MOC. I like the various greebles- just like a real LSW vehicle! I also love the design you picked for the lightsaber- an obvious parody of giant swords often seen on Mecha, but easily identifiable and very simple.
