Lego Nexo Knights TV Series Discussion
Deadshot replied to DuckBricks's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Episode 3 aired an hour ago here in the U.S. I liked it, but what I liked about it may be a spoiler: Cheers. -
I hope you're wrong, because a LB3 Croc sounds good to me. Video-game-development-time vs. Lego-kit-development-time aside, there are a few designs that appeared in games before being physically released. Space Suit Batman for instance, appeared in the game before the Green Lantern set was released. But I don't imagine there's a definitive "TT designed it and Lego used that design" (or the opposite) answer to that question anywhere.

Local Target has all 3 BvS sets. Will pick up Clash of Heroes later, got Kryptonite Interception tonight. Batmobile is awesome. Feels very sturdy, looks great, and the scale is awesome. Significantly larger than any car, but not enormous like Lego Batmobiles of old.

Absolutely awesome! A New 52 Harley Quinn and a little more old-school design of Deadshot!

No, you can see around 1:09 that they're the long clear pieces that were basically used as a flying-minifigure handles IIRC These, yeah.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
Deadshot replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Sorry if this has already been asked, but I've never really paid attention to this series, but can these be purchased in-store like Toys'R'Us or Target? Thanks. -
Arrow: -Mirakuru Battle: Some little setting, with some tunnel walls and a destroyed car or two. Includes the Arrow (With S1-S3 costume), Arsenal (Roy), and Black Canary (Sara) against Deathstroke and a Mirakuru Soldier. Would be a great set for minifigure collectors without being crowded with unnecessary characters like Nyssa or Lance. Between $20 and $30, depending on how large the set pieces are. -Runaway Train: A train car, with Damien Darhk, a big bomb, and a HIVE soldier, taken on by Diggle (with dorky Magneto helmet) in the team van, and the Green Arrow (S4 costume). Also around $30, depending on the size and detail of the train car and van. -Obligatory huge Arrowcave set with a ton of minifigures: Felicity's nerdy headquarters, a salmon ladder, big glass case for the S4 Green Arrow suit and equipment, and maybe one or two other set pieces. Includes Oliver Queen, the Green Arrow suit, Diggle, Felicity, Black Canary (Laurel), Speedy, the Atom, and perhaps Malcolm Merlyn, because he should be in at least one of these. At least $50. Flash: -Flash vs. Reverse Flash: Cheap set, mainly just minifigures: the Flash, Reverse-Flash, and Harrison Wells (Eobard Thawne with piece-built wheelchair) as a damsel-in-distress character. $10 -Dimensional Rift: Basically a set piece that could be used for numerous scenes with the minifigures included: Flash, Jay Gerrick, and Zoom. Perhaps Earth-2 Doctor Light or Grodd too. $20 -Legends of Yesterday: the Flash, Green Arrow, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Cisco, and Vandal Savage with the Staff of Horus, and either a church setpiece or a warehouse one. $40 And since they're not likely to be making Suicide Squad film-based sets, either a minifigure ensemble set or a mystery bag type thing containing Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Katana, Rick Flag, Joker, Captain Boomerang, Enchantress, Diablo, and/or Slipknot. Maybe Amanda Waller.

Somewhere between 20 and 30, I imagine (Been 2 years since my dark ages). Had maybe a hundred when I was a kid.

Ah, I see. Unkar's thug is the big guy here then. Still seems that he and Tweedo (Teedo?) are not the nicest folk. BB's in the big sets, yeah, but I don't plan on dropping that amount of money any time soon. I was surprised when the initial TFA sets were revealed, that the cheapest one was $20 and the rest were at least double that. Depending on the price of the Battle of Takodana (http://smg.photobuck...ffhro.jpeg.html) that may be the only 2 TFA sets I get. Still no BB-8, though.

I agree, but fortunately at least the helicopter is "in character". Hard to be as irrelevant as a set that leads you to believe that a bumbling actor as harmless as a fly is actually a radical terrorist who fights on a go-kart.

I have a few of the new ones (Batman, Thor, and the Brainiac Attack set, with Superman, Supergirl, and Martian Manhunter, who has 2 capes), and I prefer them. I see it this way... Pros (Compared to the old ones) -Very flexible. Allows you to pose or place figures in ways that the previous cape wouldn't allow, or would be misshapen by. Cons -Feels a little more delicate. Possibly easier to rip or earlier to fray. Haven't had either of those issues so take it with a grain of salt. -Some real nitpicking here, but they're a little thicker. Good in some aspects, makes it feel a little more substantial or quality-made, but around the neck of a minifigure, it doesn't lay flat against the shoulders, it puffs up around the neck, making the figure look like...well, like he doesn't have a neck. (Sorry for the size of the picture. New one is on the right, which is the same Thor that I have) http://www.futurerulerofmidgard.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/old-vs-new-lego-thor.jpg

Trailer seriously dampened my enthusiasm. First half was great, built up more tension for the initial faceoff. Second half revealed nearly the entirety of the story, it seems. I figured WB was just backpedalling when they said that Doomsday wasn't in the movie and I'm glad that's the case. And as already stated, it makes the Sky High Battle (Or whatever it's called) look really strange. No Doomsday, but Lex in a helicopter? Batman in the Batwing, which is already (apparently) crashed when Doomsday makes his first appearance? It's not like it's called "The Final Battle" or anything, so for all we know this could be a battle that takes place before Doomsday's unveiling, but that makes Wonder Woman's inclusion inaccurate. (It's a Lego set, I know, just trying to convince myself that Doomsday will be coming later :P) Still have my custom one sitting in my room. Very easy to recreate.

Rey's Speeder. Smart design, but pretty large as far as the scale goes. Unsure how the "Unkar thug" plays into it either. The title "thug" and the box art paint him as an adversary, but this... ...doesn't really align with that. Wouldn't have minded a BB-8, either.

I'm with ya. It should've been all-black, or at least given him grey underwear so it was all the same color like Bale's suit. I don't have any of the Dark Knight sets, but that would certainly would've an annoying eye-grabber for me. So stoked about a Lego-official Deadshot minifigure. I was relatively hyped about it back when the story was that it would be Firefly, but the reveal that it was actually Deadshot got me really excited. And a new Harley? Never was a huge fan of her jester outfit, and I like the Arkham versions of Harley, so I'm hoping it will be along those lines.

Only Toa I currently have is the 2015 Onua, and I think this Uniter version is a step backwards. The 2015 version is built like a tank, and I love it, but this one is skinny, and I didn't like those bone-look pieces on the Skull guys, and I don't like them on Onua either. Will probably get him, but I'm not as thrilled as I was when I got my 2015 version.

Picked up War For Cybertron on my brother's advice. Slick game with good mechanics. Could use a cover system. Didn't pay much attention to Transformers after the Michael Bay movies, despite having a million of them as a kid. Built a Cybertronian-ish Optimus Prime truck mode after beating the story the first time. Currently replaying it.

The Martian, awesome movie. Matt Damon was hilarious and I bet he'll never eat another potato again. Went home and tried to build the Rover he used for a large portion of the movie.

Only from sets gotten since my Dark Age, either Onua - Master of Earth (Because he's beast, and his parts have been used endlessly to make other characters (Currently a (Black and purple :P) Deadshot :P)))... ...or Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas... ...because of the minifigures alone. My first New 52 Batman and my first Wonder Woman (My Power Armor Lex set being used denied me the original, Wonder Woman being the only thing missing). And being a fan of the Flash show, I was equally stoked about the Flash, Grodd, and Captain Cold (Even the dorky-looking comics Cold). The set is a minifigure jackpot for me.

Remembered how much I enjoyed fiddling with Legos when I was in my teens, and picked this up one day. Always liked cars, but the interior, opening doors, and opening glass engine cover sealed it. A good amount of useful pieces too. A lot of my car builds have a good deal of white on them.

Figured I'd create an account. 22 years old, had Legos since I was at least 6, building Phantom Menace sets. Back then it was all Star Wars, Batman, and Bionicle. Got rid of them 4 or 5 years ago, picked up a set 2 or 3 years ago and got hooked again. Now it's mostly DC, with some Star Wars and a little Marvel, and a few Bionicles for nostalgia. I'm a DC fan and have most of the sets currently on the market and Deadshot has been a favorite for a while now. Cheers.
