Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Piranha replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well this is getting confusing. Hulk_Smash was not the only one to have seen the Bat and Bane's Tumbler as a set, a user on Brickset also mentioned it: I am inclined to believe it will be a Tumbler/Bat combo, but who really knows until the final product is released? December I guess basically means a January release, since in some markets you can find the sets sooner than others. NYCC is coming up, lets hope for more info. -

Thanks for the info Klaus-Dieter! I am looking forward to the Museum and Burning House set the most. I really do enjoy new concepts that have not been produced yet by TLG for City, and these should be two great examples.

Thanks for the news, hopefully we see some good set designs and interesting minifigs/new parts.

legomilk has reported the real name is "Galaxy Squad". Sounds better than "Galaxy Quest" I think.
-
Those rumors are from this topic. They seem to match the earlier ones from the Australian Toy shop.
-
Reading the Brickset forum, I came across another rumor: (Bold typeface added by me) Some new modular cinema building maybe?
-
Yeah, I think this might explain it, I posted this in the Chima topic. The combined sources of legomilk, Brickset, cwetqo seem to be all in agreement. Quoted previously: So my evaluation is that the trademarks that were registered for "Legends of Chima" and "Speedorz" are one in the same. Basically "Speedorz" isn't a new racing theme but is some proprietary thing used in the "Chima" theme. Lastly, the Arctic theme is probably that new Space theme called "Galaxy Quest". This would mean 2 new themes for 2013 (Chima, Galaxy Quest or whatever). Not 4 (Chima, Speedorz, Polar Explorer, Galaxy Quest).

Another rumor to add from the Polar Xxpress topic:

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Piranha replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I would guess a little higher on a few: Daily Bugle $49.99 TDKR set: $79.99 Arkham: $129.99 I don't think The Penguin will be in his own set, but rather featured in the larger TBD Arkham set (maybe even a D2C). -
Some more information from Brickset: We have this poster from the LEGO Magazine. Some speculated this could be the new Arctic/Space theme. A Museum? That would be really cool to get. I wonder about the scale though, whether it would be just a facade or something more elaborate?

More information from Brickset: Source Looking forward to this.

LEGO Sets/Parts Never Released into Production
Piranha replied to LEGO Historian's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I find this subject interesting myself. One of the great mysteries is set 6576. Any further information on that set would be very interesting. Also brings to mind another one of my favorites Seatron. -

I am with Admiral Croissant, and I add my vote for the poor Dodo bird. -
A Lone Ranger theme released next year would be great. New parts and figs, hopefully some good structures etc.

REVIEW: 8833 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 8
Piranha replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Another truly excellent review WhiteFang! You sure are spoiling us with these incredibly useful and detailed CM reviews. Congratulations on your 100th review! That is an impressive feat and has provided many useful contributions to EB. Where to start with Series 8? We did wait a long time for pictures to surface, and when they did, I was pleasantly surprised. We get some strong useful histroical figures like the Actor, Conquistador and Diver. To supplement those I also enjoyed seeing the first WW Cowgirl, the Businessman and finally a Pirate. However the best new part IMO, would be that pretzel featured with the Bavarian. I would also rank Series 8 as "Above Average" or 4/5. Overall this CM Series is a fine addition and I look forward toward any new potential CM Series. -

I will add one more vote each to the walrus, hammerhead shark and pelican. Mister Phes, I think you forgot to list my wild boar suggestion, does that mean it needs 5 votes or only 3? -
Build your own Pirate LEGO Animal Battle Pack - FAQ
Piranha replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
I figured it might be too large for a battle pack . One new animal, that I think would fit with the jungle animals would be a wild boar/pig. Larger and more robust than the domestic pig with tusks and a fur color/pattern. -
