Great review Kiel! The original version of this set was actually the first Star Wars set I had ever purchased. Therefore, it is a bit higher on my list than most other people. It was the only set at the time to include Obi-Wan from EP1, which made it unique. I also always loved underwater type sets. Now, 13 years later we get a 2nd edition. I think it is a great update, the organic feel of the Bongo sub is captured very well. Although I do miss the random underwater structure and animals. Overall, I would give it a 4.5/5, which includes bonus points for nostalgia.

Excellent job on these. The "Bat" is a really good rendition. You captured the vehicle perfectly I would say, all the details are stunning. Your "Tumbler" also looks great. Definitely worth support on CUUSOO, but lets hope we see something like this very soon in the January DC wave.

I thought so too, and I hope it is true. Getting Arkham City, TDKR and a set with Aquaman would be incredible.

I agree, I don't believe that the wave is split or that those are all the figures for the wave until TLG confirms it themselves, or at least until the set list is known. Sure it sounds possible, I wouldn't be disappointed or surprised if it turns out correct, I just want that DKR set to be amazing.

I myself am hoping for the Bat-tumbler in black again. I don't think there would be a problem to have it in camo. I think it counts as more of a fantasy military vehicle. EDIT: I was reading the Brickset Forum and came across this: Source If that proves true, it would be a fairly large set $80 range maybe? Hopefully that means the Arkham set would be even bigger in the $130 range. Similar pricing for the two large LOTR sets they released this summer.

Some good guesses, although what needs to be answered is if they are splitting the wave with Marvel & DC (5 sets + 1 exclusive) or if each subtheme will get its own wave. Now, if each subtheme gets its own wave that would leave alot of missing sets and figs possibly. But if the wave is split, then we could only be missing the exclusive set. Also if the DKR set is released this or next month, that would leave open another spot for the January wave. It is possible Aquaman could get lumped with Batman, but I am not ruling out a set of his own with a new villain. Next, I wonder if the Arkham set is inspired/based on the popular video game? Arctic Batman could either be with Mr. Freeze or The Penguin. My predictions: - Aquaman vs new villain. (Special edition set) - Arctic Batman vs Penguin & his submarine with new penguin molds that will also appear in the 2013 Polar Explorer theme. - Arkham City set includes Winged Batman, Hooded Robin, Nurse Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, Joker in jumpsuit, Security Guard & Scarecrow. (7 figs would be a very large set) - DKR Set includes Batman, Bane, Gordon and some combination of these vehicles (The Bat, Tumbler or Batpod), if smaller, in the $50-60 range, I would say Bane's Tumbler & the Batpod. The last two sets would involve the Marvel stuff with the Ultimate Spiderman figs.

For DC, I would say Aquaman, he is one cool fig. I would also choose Nick Fury for Marvel, he is neutral enough to be used with the Avengers.

IIRC, TLG stated that the Superhero figs shown today are part of the 2013 collection of sets. I also expect NYCC to have the same 4 exclusives as the SDCC in the same amount. I do wonder if a coming set is Arkham City inspired with the Nurse Harley Quinn, Hooded Robin, Mr. Freeze and all.

DKR set(s)? Aquaman? Nick Fury? Awesome stuff revealed today, some of it was surprising. Even I was getting close to burying a DKR set. Just goes to show, nothing is confirmed until it is confirmed. I however am a little disappointed in all the repeat villains/hooded robin and a distinct lack of GL/Flash. But I remain hopeful, as with last year TLG won't reveal every fig from every set and the SE sets are still out there.

This is very exciting news, I am really hoping for GL & Flash now. Wow, 4 promo figs in a even more limited quantity than last year, which I believe was 1500 each.

$30 is a good price for the Spiderman set. More than one exclusive at CC can be good, if you are interested in only one of them. More people are then trying to acquire both, instead of all the focus being on just one fig. I am really hoping we get news on the January DC wave at CC.

If that proves correct, I will have to pick one up. I am also with rogueang, hoping for a Frontiersmen Trader.

My predictions for 2013 are pretty similar to the ones mentioned already. January 2013 DC: 2-3 Batman sets ( Nightwing, The Penguin and Mr. Freeze are all high probability figs) I would also guess for a new Bat Boat, Arkham type set and maybe a Bat Tumbler. 1-2 Green Lantern or The Flash sets. Leaning towards Green Lantern but The Flash might appear. Spring and Summer: Man of Steel sets. 2013 Marvel sets: Expecting a large D2C with Nick Fury in it. 1-4 Iron Man 3 sets and hopefully some Iron Man 1 & 2 sets thrown in. Thor 2 sets, 1-3. Some comic X-men sets and maybe a few Spider-man comic sets. I also would expect a Marvel Dictionary and perhaps even a game by TT.
