Or even better, could just put links to the videos! -
What minifigs are we missing - post your detailed suggestions here
Fives replied to CopMike's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The deep sea diver would be epic! That would be way better for the atlantis theme. It reminds me of 20,000 Legues Under the Sea. I can't think of any particular thing in detail, but more female figs and more female hairpieces. If they were to make the new female hair from the POTC line in blonde, I would be very happy. Possibly a Policeman with a more detailed hat and a new flashlight piece. Also a guy in a lion suit! -
Something Wrong with my screen?
Fives replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in Forum Information and Help
Hi all, I'm not sure if this is deserving of it's own thread, but I've been noticing that a bunch of people here on EB have their names upside down and backwards. All I can ask is why? Is this some sort of thing that is happening, or am I just crazy? -
That was the one thing that upset me the most with Alastor's death in the movie: why didn't they bricking show it!?! He is one of my favourite characters ever, and they were all just like "Oh ya, Mad-Eye. Hmmm... He died." "Uh... That's too bad" Like, what the brick! Anyway, that was off topic... I'm excited for these new sets. They look like they are giving us a nice group of minifigs and parts (trans light blue fire, Narcissa's hair, grey globe). I think that the Battle of Hogwarts is my favourite just because it has (finally) a new Lupin and Neville. I missed out on both of them back in 2004 and now I'm glad I'll be getting really nice versions of them now. But I must say, this wave is just nothing compared to the last one. Maybe if they had included one more big set, like a revamp of the Chamber of Secrets, then this wave would seem more full.

I must say this theme is beating Space Police 3 by a long shot! This is amazing! From the new face prints to the new guns, the reuse of the syringe piece to the 3 part martian heads! This is just great! Now I really want one of those martian leaders!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Fives replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think a knight would be great. Something with a armour piece that has printing, but has no affiliation with an animal. I'm tired of lions! It would be great if they made a new helmet and sword, too. Or maybe they could make a ranger-like character, similar to Aragorn from LOTR. They could use the new baldric piece... wait... does the baldric and the quiver work together, cause if not, this idea won't work. -
This set is great! Thanks for the early review! I honestly think that this is the best set of the new wave. I know that the mill set is great, but this is a nice small set with my new favourite fig from Kingdoms: The Dragon General! His armour is great, the helmet just kicks bricks, and the long shield and barding is just perfect! But what blows me away the most about this set it the fact that there are two figs with double heads! I understand a lot of double heads in leicensed themes, but in normal themes too! This is a gift! The new dragon knight face is awesome. His normal expression seems like a rather pompous smirk, while he has a really angry pissed off face. You would not want to accidently spill his mug of ale! Again, thanks for the review!

Well, I'm a bit low on any treasure bit right now. Also, I don't have the money to buy some more pearl gold studs. I'm saving up for more of the POTC sets, so... I actually think I may not add much more. I haven't done much mocing before, but when I do, I just kinda start building and then stop when I get bored with it and destroy and start something new. I've actually started a new moc already. I'm building a castle. I might put it up on here. Let's just see when I get bored of it...

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Fives replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
You mean Voolvif Monn. He has always seemed like a really cool Jedi ever since we had a glimpse of him in the 03 series. It would be nice for the to do a story similar to that of the Hypori one from the 03 series. Just a few Jedi outrageously outnumbered by droids and the General. They could really get deeper into how the war is affecting Jedi other than the main ones. Also, K'Kruhk would be neat to see in TCW. But I doubt they will visit on old characters if they would rather make up new Jedi. It is kinda upsetting, but honestly, who DOESN'T want that new Besalisk Jedi in minifig form! -
Hmm... I guess we just have more prejudice to lesser quality. That makes LEGO fans sound like building toy Nazis!

5 troops and one officer! How did you manage that! How much are they selling for on BL? -

I agree with everything you just said, although some of the political stuff makes it feel that much more real. But, we should stop discussing this here... -
Hello everyone. Recently I started working on a MOC of the famous climatic fight scene on Isla de Muerta at the end of POTC 1. I am not quite finished, but so far I am happy with what I have come up with. Enjoy, and C&C is greatly appreciated! Also, sorry if some of the images are a bit blurry. I;m working on my picture taking. An overview of the scene: Barbossa starting the ritual: "Couldn't resist, mate." Duel of the Fates ( , I knew I could get a SW joke in here) Sorry, this one is really blurry. The pile of treasure: Pirates of the Prince of Persia? Like I said above, C&C is welcome! Enjoy!

I got my copy of this set last wednesday. I absolutely love it! The figs, by far, are the reason that I got this set. I am just amazed every time I look at Jack! Magnificent fig (and my favourite fig ever, along with new Boba Fett). Barbossa is also just top notch. The skellie Barbossa is a bit dissapointing because A) the baldric is loose on him and B) his arms aren't very posable. He can just chop up a down. Elizabeth is great. The hairpiece they gave her is my favourite female hairpiece yet! I have already made a moc based on the scene, and am working on posting it up on here soon, possibly today! Also, I got the new pearl coins. Kinda glad about it. They look cool.

Also, could you take a bird's eye view of the ship? And possibly remove the top sections of the sails? I want to see what sorts of plates would be best for modding on a second deck.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion

I seem to have missed a lot of this conversation, but seeing as we are talking about the 03 series, here are my thoughts on it: The 03 series is good in it's own right. The first volume (chapters 1-20), I thought, was a lot better than the second. It concetrated on more little outer rim siege stories, nd showcased a lot of the epic stuff only seen briefly in AOTC. They used a bunch of the new Jedi seen in AOTC (Fisto, Unduli). As for the animation, the 03 series was way more cartoony, and really exagerated. Also, powers were way exagerated (Durge stabbing an AT-TE and it just blowing up!). It was awesome, but really unrealistic. Overall, I enjoy the 08 series more, but the 03 series was just plain epic, and I still look to it when looking for inspiration in MOCing. -

Now that I see Phillip's live-action face, I really think LEGO got it wrong. He (in LEO from) just doesn't look like the character. But, whatever. -
Are you 100% sure? I would like to know.
-
Ya, I thought so. I tried an Indy sachel on one of my Ninjago skellies and it was quite loose. But, I'll probably end up not really using the skellie Barbossa, and use his scabbard for someone else. Can't wait for tomorrow!
-
Nice pics yogi! Seeing as you have the Isla de Muerta set (I'm getting it tomorrow in the mail), I was wondering about the scabbard on the skeleton Barbossa. Is it looser than on the normal figs, or does it fit on well. I'm just worried that it will move around a lot on his shoulder.
-
That is fnatastic! Spot on! Now, if only we had a tentacle beard piece so we could see this guy in real life!
-
This is definitely one of my favourites of the new POTC sets. Thanks for the review! And funny you mentioned the Price is Right, Inkog. On the Dead Man's Chest soundtrack, the track for this scene is called Wheel of Fortune!

Hey everyone. I'm not sure if anyone can answer this, but has anyone seen any of the new POTC sets in Canadian TRU's? I'm just wondering, because none of the ones near me have them yet, but sometimes their orders are just slow.
