I bought the LEGO SW Death Star on friday and they threw in 4 of the little archer with a target sets. Pretty sweet deal!
-
Wait, do you mean just any SW games, or the LEGO SW games, because they have pretty much covered most of the characters from the LEGO SW games.

I finished building my new Death Star after approx. 10 hours of building, and it is by far the biggest and the best of my collection!

I finally got the Death Star playset. I haven't started building it yet, but this weekend I will be very busy.

I like the celebration Han fig. I noticed that his shirt shows less of his chest, but I would have liked if the had given his white shirt the redo they did on the Han minifigs from last year, with more details. Also, I can see the new Luke from the MF on the front cover of the book, just on the left edge.

These are just amazing! If this was a real theme, I would totally buy these sets! I love how all of them have great functions! Nice work!

I always thought the Azure Angel was super ugly and I was very happy when they gave Anakin a normal yellow starfigter in the new CW series, bt yes, I am alos very excited for when the Eta-2's start showing up. They just look cooler. -

Thanks. Not that it really matters if the figs have them, just curious. -
It doesn't. But George Lucas has the money and wants to do it, so he is. I also read somewhere that ANOTHER cartoon series is in the works.

Does anyone know if they still have the Death Star in stock at the Sherway store? I'm planning on buying it next week.

I have a question for any people who have bought the Death Star playset recently. When the set first was released, the characters were not pupilized, but I was curious if with the recent pupilization of SW figs that they have replaced the old heads with new ones, like they did in the X-Wing set from 2006? I'm considering buying once I have the money in the next couple weeks and before it is retired from the shelves. Thanks! -
So all of these sets of from an imitation company! Could LEGO not sue these guys for completely copying they're moulds and designs!?! It just blows me away! (Also, those chrome swords are epic!)
-
Ok, thats what I thought. They are August release as well in Canada, but sometimes during the Jan wave, the US gets the sets early, so I wasn't sure...

Thanks for this fantastic review! This set is my most wanted this year. I know the ship itself is only OK, but the figs are superb! Qui-Gon is the best minifig of the year! I'm glad you posted the comparison pic of the new and old Maul heads with the horns. I think the new face, overall, is better. The horns fit better with the new face because the new face was designed FOR the horns. Also, I have always felt that the old Maul face was a bit squished and needed to be more stretched. THis new one does that. As for Padme, nice to see her again, and Panaka will just look awesome in anybody's SW collection.

So, does are the new summer sets out in the US? I'm just trying to guess from that when they will be in Canada.

No, they may look similar, but those are not Felucians. They don't have an organic enough look. They look like something from Mortis. -

I'm really hoping that the splat piece comes out in trans red soon. It will make castle mocs awesome (blood and stuff). -
I can see that you are not basing your characters on the show. They are good, though. I am going to post some of mine soon.

Great! I actually started on making some of my own customs. I kinda used the same design for Jon as you did. Its just great. I've only made him and Tyrion. I've found that the perfect hair for Tyrion is the Anakin Skywalker hair from 2007.
-
These are great! I really like Jon, Arya and Petyr. The Jack fave suits him perfectly. I myself have just started the books, and am about half way through the first book. I have already seen the whole first season of the HBO series, so the first book is pretty much ruined for me, but I'm still gonna read it. My only gripe with these figs is that Ned's face and hair just doesn't seem like him, and same with Robb's face and hair. Also, where are the Lannisters?!

Okay, I know I have mentioned this before on this thread (way back sometime), but LEGO Lord of the Rings would be the best. I have been realizing that with the increasing amount of special parts being made in China these days (Jack Sparrow hair, a bunch of the Star Wars parts), that Lord of the Rings could be done REALLY well with just a few new moulds. I have especially been thinking about Gollum and Legolas's hair. Fisrt, I thought Gollum could be done similar to a Battle Droid, but then when the pics of the new Sebulba fig came out, I got thinking that TLG could do somethimg similar to this. So, the official LEGO Gollum would consist of five parts: a body/legs part, two arms with hands like that of a Battle Droid, and two heads. One head would be nice and Smeagol-ish, and the other is evil Gollum. The parts would come in the special little bags, much like General Grievous from last summer. Secondly, I have always wondered how they would pull off the Legolas's long hair falling over his quiver problem. Well, then I thought 'If TLG put Jack Sparrow's hat with his hair as one piece, then why not Elf hair and quiver?' The piece could have the hair and quiver all as one, with sheaths for his knives, much like the POP sword holder. With these, and many other special parts (mostly helmets), LOTR LEGO would be amazing!

This set looks awesome! The ship itself looks rather bland, but the minifigs are nice! Looks like Jack, Will and Gibbs are the returning figures, and as for new ones, Davy Jones (He looks perfect!), Maccus, and Cotton. But, I must say, this ship is really plain in comparison to QAR. Maybe that is just the fact that this is a prelim and hopefully the final image will seem a bit more flashy.

Those tree things look like something from Mortis. Maybe the droids end up there some how. Oh no! 3P0 is the Chosen one! ( ) -
I had this happen a lot with Indiana Jones head. Most of the Indy head I own have a rather big beard instead of the little stubble he should have. I'm notr surprised.

Very nice creation! I love the fact that you didn't just copy the film version, and made your own version. Are there any chances of you adding on the Deeping Wall? It would be awesome to see the full fortress made with the whole battle setup.
