Today I watched the extended version of Gladiator. I've seen it many times before, but I absolutely love it. One of my favourite films ever!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Fives replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hey everyone. I remember that there was a thread for CM fig pictures, but I can't find it anywhere!?! What happened? -
I was just looking at shop@home, and all the new Alien Conquest sets were available, and as for Kingdoms, all the new sets were available except for the Blacksmith one. But they will probably have all of them at the store.
-
I'm not 100% sure, but probably the Sith Temple that Sidious has on Coruscant. But this may not be true, unless he changed bases during the time between TPM and AOTC, because in AOTC, his temple is in The Works.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Fives replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
LEGO will milk this theme is dry. This is probably making so much money for them, because there are so many idiots like us who just never stop buying them! And they will never run out of ideas. There is so much they could do. Like really, if they are doing garden gnomes now, who knows what we will get in series 8! -
Got my hands on some of the series 4 collectable figs. I bought six, and I was thrilled that I didn't get a single repeat! I got a werewolf, a gnome, geisha, hazmat guy, soccer player, and a viking! The viking is my favourite, but I'm glad I got the ones I did. Only ten more to complete the set!

I must say, this is pretty awesome. The set itself is okay (the rocks and the dock are great, but the fort itself is a bit meh), but the whole idea of alternate sets is awesome. I wish I had the money to get doubles of these two sets so I could build this. If only this idea was used in the SW theme. It would be nice.

I've got a good feeling about this! Can't wait to see it finished!

Did anyone else notice that Han has a Black belt rather than brown? I wonder why TLG made the change.

I've been following this thread for a while, but haven't posted anything, so I thought now was a good time. I give you Endor Patrol: Enjoy!

That is exactly what I thought when I first heard this set was coming out! I love that soundtrack! Also, nice review.

I knew his name started with a Z! It was the last name that was throwing me off, because it is similar to Jocasta Nu, and they were both seen together in the Jedi Archives in AOTC. Ya, they would need to release it then. It would make most sense. I would like to see the speeder done in LEGO. I would imagine it being very sleek and smooth. It would be nice to see more Coruscant civilian speeders.

I have an idea that could get 501st clones out. Bail Organa's red speeder from ROTS. Set could be about $24.99 CAD, come with Bail Organa, that Jedi who jumps out and kills some of the clones on the platform (I forget his name, but he was played by George Lucas's son), and 2 501st clones. Now, I know that only 2 clones is not as many as most people would want, and at 24.99, that a lot of money for an ok set with some great clones. But! TLG could then release a BP with all 501st clones, and possibly come out with a generic Jedi BP (maybe two human, two alien) to fight Vader's Fist.

I just took a look at the page. It says that George Lucas really likes the story of SOTE, and if he had had come up with the story in the 80's, he would have made it into a movie.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Fives replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The snowboarder and the dancer are poop. Other than that, everything is fantastic! I feel like we are getting more new pieces in this series than before, but then again, thats the way I feel about every series! I wish there were pics of the Gladiator's face and the Dwarf Warrior's face on their own. They look cool, but they are obscured by helmets and beards. Also, that graduate cape will make a great Sith cloak for SW figs. -
Well, if there were a walker included, I think it would have been mentioned. That sort of thing would probably stand out in a Hoth set. Also, I doubt TLG would include an AT-ST in a Hoth set, because A) they have always released them based on Endor, and B) people usually associate AT-ATs with Hoth, so it would seem confusing.
-
Wow, you miss a bit of stuff on this thread, and BAM, info on the Hoth set! This sounds like it could potentially be the best set for this wave. A red protocol droid and Luke in a bacta tank just sound awesome! Who is Bren Darlin? I thought that General Carlist Rieekan played a more significant commanding role during the Battle of Hoth? I would like to see him in minifig form. He's always been one of my favourite Rebel commanders.
-
This is really great news! I'm glad to hear that they have started to show up in some stores. If Val-Mart has them, TRU must.
-
Do you think that you could find the source? I would like to see what Lucas said exactly.
-
Ya, when I noticed that I instantly thought "Ghost SW minifigs". If TLG has found a way to do trans skeleton parts, maybe normal minifig parts are in the close future?

The Fastest and Funniest Star Wars Story Ever Told! Part 2
Fives replied to DarthR2-D2's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This one, as said before, is not as good as the first. The way they pulled off some of the scenes was brilliant, but therejust isn't as good a story to tell. My favourite parts were when at the very start they show Anakin, but then ignore him, and when they went to Coruscant, but then left cause it was boring. TLG: 1, Lucas: 0 -
Hey, thanks for the review! I was just wondering, could we get some more detailed pics of the figs and the animals?
-
In that list, Mr. Man, are you not forgeting the Shadows of the Empire. Of all things EU besides the CW stuff, this would be most canon, seeing as it was all George Lucas's idea.
