  1. Hello! It's a great use of the 4-wide round elements for the bioler. It provides the perfect historical look. I also like the use of the 2x2 window as headlight which reminds me to the two old western locomotives 396 and 726. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  2. Hello! The style and shape of the building is pretty nice. However, you're missing a cruical thing. A train station without clocks? Very unusual. You could attach one to the tower and also for the stages. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  3. Hello! I didn't realize the story went on, as I was used to see the new sets in the historical forum. Yes, a great western city should also have a great train. I guess you can easily remove the planks at the sides for loading duties. I also like the new evening background image. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  4. Hello everyone, and thank you for your comments which are truly motivating. Thank you. See you soon, ~ Christopher
  5. Hello Maaatt! Great to see you, and also great to see some new designs of you! This one is definitely fabulous! From the yard before the hotel you can already smell the greatest police car destructing street race following the concert. The hotel is impressive for sure, but I am absolutely fond of the nice cars you built for the layout. The technique with the 1x1 slopes on top of the 2x2 slopes works excellently for the windscreens. The big loudhailer on top of the Bluesmobile is also a great design. Cheers, ~ Chris
  6. Well, must be on your end then. They work just fine over here. If you click the link in his signature you'll be directly taken to them. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  7. Hello! Besides the funny description, it's also a great construction! The engines are massive and make it easy to believe that this ship is tremendously fast. My favourite is the hemi-spherical cockpit construction with those new half-round windscreen pieces. It's great to see that you can build a spherical construction when adding radar dish pieces. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  8. Hello! Thank you for the comment! I still consider the model a MINI model, as it's only 4 studs wide, which is like a standard for many of my capital starships. A midi-sized model would probably be 6-wide for this model. But I don't think I have enouh pieces to start a midi line. My entire stock is specialized to mini building. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  9. Hello everybody! The mini model compilations I presented over the last months were of course not meant to be complete. So it happens that I build a model belonging to those. Thus I'd like to present three brand new starfighter additions to you. -------------------- Let's start with the "Havoc", a starfighter belonging to the Nubian Starships set. The "Havoc" is a Scurrg H-6 Prototype Bomber appearing mainly in computer games. It's nicely orange and features a nicely snotty engine block, as I wanted to use the slightly bigger minifig heads as engiens instead of normal 1x1 round bricks. -------------------- The second starfighter addition is the real TIE Advanced, not Vader's TIE which is the TIE Advanced X1. It's also known under his nickname "TIE Avenger". As many TIE Fighters are similar to each other, this construction is also similar to my TIE Interceptor model you might remember from the TIE Fighter set. -------------------- The last new model for today is for Jedi Starfighter set. It's the Delta-7B Aethersprite Light Interceptor. It's the direct predecessor of the normal Delta-7 (without B) starfighter. The main difference is the centered astromech droid compared to the older model. This one has been built in the colour scheme of Anakins Delta-7B from the Clone Wars TV series. -------------------- With that I am done for today. Thanks for your time and interest. Have a good friday. Soon it's week-end! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  10. Hello! Nice looking car! What I like best are the side mirrors using clicky hinges. That's a very original solution. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  11. Hello! You're welcome! The improvemnets look great! I like it a lot better now that it is 2 studs wider. Nicely done! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  12. Hello! It's great that you found a way to use those large printed 10x10 dishes, pieces which are otherwise of only limited alternate use. Well done! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  13. Hello, and thank you everyone for the nice comments! Yes, it's indeed funny. Sometimes builders motivate and inspire each other, and all of a sudden a less popular theme gets more popular. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  14. Hello! I am not into HALO but I have a faible for capital starships, may they be built small or large (like yours). The two detail sections you show are pretty nice and we can imagine how huge the entire ship will be. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  15. Hello! Using boat studs to cover the hinges works really well and gives it a realistic look. The skis and many binoculars are well placed as well! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  16. Hello! Building round stuff is not easy, but your solution worls quite well here. I also like the door with the wedge plates. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  17. Hello! Using those large display windows for your cross-section of the Tantive IV is a really nice touch. You should definitely add this sentence, as it really demonstrates Vader's power: "VADER: If this is a consular ship...were is the Ambassador?!" Cheers, ~ Christopher
  18. Hello! Well, I'd call this rather "Defense of Echo Base" as we only see the defenders, not the attackers. The gun towers are pretty nice. However I am not sure about your new snow techniques. For me, personally, things like the container with slot, or the 2x2 tile with technic pin have a rather disturbing effect on the scene. These technical looking things do not really fit into the snow layout. I'd stay with plates and slopes. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  19. Hello! I am also a fan of the movie, and the landing box is really great so far. Interior and the soldiers are really nice. I am looking forward to the dropship carrying the box. Keep us updated! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  20. Hello! Considering the fact that you did not use any of the prefabricated robot arms, I think this is pretty good! I especially like the transparent pieces in between. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  21. Hello! It a great designs with many small details and functional legs and arms. I especially like the use of the vehicle mudguards for the feet. Very original use of parts. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  22. Hello Ralph! This is a fantastic creation! Very large and so well-designed. Most people don't realize how long such a Tomcat is compared to the pilot. You got the shape perfectly as usual, only using basic pieces. Your approach is truly unique and superior to all new big wedge sloped form pieces. Thanks for sharing this with us! ~ Christopher
  23. Hello! It's lovely! I also liked the scene, and you rebuilt it perfectly. The snow-covered trees are a nice touch. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  24. Hello! That's a nice idea! I have seen such weapons in some movies but never expected to see one in bricked form. They certainly count to the most dangerous weapons in the arsenal in those days. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  25. Hello! Me, like the others, am very impressed by the setup. Let me join the compliments and congratulate to this felicitous diorama. It's also the funny minifigure snapshots which make this scene an eye-catcher. A pleasure to look at! Cheers, ~ Christopher
