  1. Hello! It's already pretty nice looking, but I think the cockpit section looks a bit unfinished. Those 4 round 1x1 bricks look like they could be the ideal starting point for a cage-like cover of the driver. If the walker should fall over during combat, a cover around the pilot might save his life, instead of being exposed like that. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  2. Hello, and thanks again for the comments all of you! You're welcome to have a look at my humble homepage. You'll find besides Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica: Star Trek, Space Odyssey, Stargate, and various miscellaneous movies. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  3. Hello! A really wonderful scene with so many nice inventions! The two flying machines are already great, but the grabbling vehicle is fantastic. A great source of inspiration. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  4. Hello! It's a cute little space racer! Very compact, but nicely shaped. I like the orange dots, and the red technic ball on the bottom. Smart in space. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  5. Hello! Now that is a really original vehicle! I have not seen many ice cream trucks yet. My favourite detail is the use of the old space position rockets as loudhailer. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  6. Hello! An interesting design. The door rails plates on the sides of the tower are looking great. But if the dark red plate is really intended to be a Venator, your ship would be approximately 18,000 meters in length. A weapons complement of 16 laser cannons is really very weak for a ship of its size. I guess that actual weaponry is too small in this scale to display. Your laser cannons would also be 1137 meters in length. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  7. Hello! A great addidition to your maxifigure collection. The torso pattern looks very accurate and the facial expression with the thin mouth are exactly like for the small figure. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  8. Hello, and thank you everyone for the nice comments! I am glad that here are some more Battlestar Galactica fans! The image you created, Brickster, is once again fabulous! Thank you for the extra effort and highlighting it! Have fun, L-Space with the movie tonight. Carsten, of course I am familiar with your medium models. They are among the first Galactica models on BrickShelf. What is a BSG mafia, simonjedi? As long as it's nothing commercial, and as long as credit is given, you're free to use those models for personal use. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  9. Hello! This is already pretty nice. However the front looks really flat. I could imagine that the following piece would give it a much more realistic look. Image taken from BrickLink. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  10. Hello everybody! Today I'd like to share two new additions to my Battlestar Galactic mini line with you. As you all might new, there are two series around these days: the classic series from the 1970s and the reimagined series from the 2000s. Personally I like the classic series much better, but some designs of the reimagined series are also notable. -------------------- Let's start with the new reimagined series. Whereas the Cylon Base Star in the classic series was pentagonal, the new Cylon Base Star from the reimagined series is more triangular. But shapes are difficult to design, but an unusual choice of parts now also allowed for the construction of the pseudo-triangular shape of the new Base Star. It uses modified 1x2 plates with an angular extension and flexible Light tip and swivel hinge plates for stabilization. See all images and building instructions here: Cylon Base Star on BrickShelf -------------------- Now let's continue with the classic series. Originally I thought that I already had built all Cylon vehicles from the classic series. This was probably true, but when I watched one of the movies recently I noticed again that strange yellow/golden Cylon Raider. These are probably graphic errors while copying more ships into the swuadron. But nonetheless it looks different. So here it is the "Golden" Cylon Raider. See all images and building instructions here: "Golden" Cylon Raider on BrickShelf -------------------- All 24 Battlestar Galactica models can be seen on BrickShelf. -------------------- Thanks for your time and interest! Have a great sunday! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  11. Hello! You have included some really big pieces very smoothly, like the large wedges are the bridge supports. A great alternate use of those pieces. And of course I like the orange! I am always fond of orange and here I see solid orange, trans-orange and trans-neon-orange. Very nice factory! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  12. Hello! What a cute littel robot! The flexibility is great and also the use of the tread pieces. The other versions in this thread are also adorable, a nice collection of different versions. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  13. Hello! Space Police series I and II are among my most favourite soace themes. The modifications on the original SP I flagship are great! Finally featuring a closed hull! That was definitely needed. The SP I version of the SP II flagship is also very nice, and the entire fleet looks impressive. On a small side note, you might want to have a look at the Eurobricks Index of Tutorials for resizing images for future topics. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  14. Hello! The design of the walls is definitely nice, and very futuristic looking. The one thing I don't understand is the layout. It's a very long and narrow corridor with some command operation panel at the end. It's a dead end-corridor. Why would one design such a long corridor just to reach a panel in the end? Would one not place the panel at the beginning of the corridor or on the outside wall, and make a nice storage room out of the corridor? Right now this space seems lost, and empty room should not be wasted in space. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! I like the use of the dome piece. It looks more like an activated energy shield against incoming laser blasts rather than a windscreen but definitely in original use here. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  16. Hello! Very nice vignette with lots of motion in it. I especially like the little waterfall. Is this from the 4th movie or is this by imagination only? I'm just asking because I haven't seen the 4th movie and don't plan to do so either. Anyway, it looks excellent. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  17. Hello AC, nice to see you here. Your bunker is very nice, and you have built a great environment as usually. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  18. Hello! It's looking quite menacing and is constructed with great detail. I especially like the incorporation of Bionicle pieces, and the use of the 4-wide and 8-wide fence pieces which are in very original use here. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  19. Hello! The medium-sized gunship looks really good so far. However, I would prefer more transparent clear pieces for the various gun turrets. You could use clear 2x2 dishes for the small side spheres. And also clear 3x3 or 4x4 dishes for the spherical gun emplacements in the wing ends. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  20. Hello again! It looks like you have been quite busy! Another great set of easily recognizable minifigures! The figures are excellent, but also the typical accessoires which you have added! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  21. Hello! A great movie setup with a high level of recognition! I like that you only use official parts for your mini figures, which is the same approach I use. You have really chosen torsos and body parts very well! Plus, it's great to see some more creations from various SciFi movies like Flash Gordon. A great contribution to the versatility in this forum. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  22. Hello, it's again me! Thank you for the comments on my latest ideas, and thank you for the opportunity to do so in this nice topic. I feel that I cannot stop yet as long as I have funny (or silly?) ideas. So, here's a little story about a little yellow fellow... who forgot to dress in the morning. But their world is okay again after having put on his studs. Cheers, and enjoy your week! ~ Yours Chris
  23. Hello! It's excellently set into scene. Your prooved that even with simple methods you can get the perfect effect. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  24. Hello! It really seems highly flexible and maneuverable. It even can climb on the trees in your garden. Will it also harvest the cherries when they're mellow from the tree? No, seriously, nice techniques you used here, but a little hard to see due to the buy bacgkground. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  25. Hello! That is really fantastic! M-Tron is one of my most favourite space themes, and your great building bring up old memories again. You sued the many trans-neon-green cockpits very well for the forefront and side walls. I especially like the lengthy cockpit in the middle of the two rounded corners. The alien head is a really nice touch, and I like it a lot that you inverted its colour scheme for the interior. Altogether it makes an outstanding starbase. Cheers, ~ Christopher
