  1. Hello (again)! That's a fantastic vignette. Again you show a scene captured excellently with nice building techniques. MAy favourite detail is the rounded elevator door. Using curved bricks was the perfect choice for that. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  2. Hello and thank you. As already stated in several topics, one of my rules is: "No saw, glue or paint" I always try to be as exact as possible with what is available. Sometimes this includes buying very expensive pieces, like those window bricks which are from the old Ferries Theme. If you're interested in the little building you might want to see it at its original topic here: Micro White House. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  3. Well, I sometimes also am annoyed by BrickShelf, when having a downtime again or is slowly being moderated. But we have to keep in mind that it's a free service, and has no limits in capacity for its users. So, definitely yes, you should have stayed there. Okay, enough off-topic now. Back to topic. The use of some transparent elements like the corner plates is already nice, but I would have expected more trans-orange pieces and flames to get the characteristic lava glow feeling. Of course I know trans-orange plates and bricks are not among the cheapest, but they would contribute a lot to your nice base. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  4. Hello! That's a very good Delta-7 Aethersrpite! It looks fantastic! My vafourite part is the SNOTted fron with the white 1x4 slopes. The "blending over" into the dark red wing design with wedge plates is very smooth. I have one question, though. You have included so many nice details that it would suit the already great design well if you could open the rear hatches to "prepare jettison the spare parts canisters". If it's already included I must have missed it on the pictures. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  5. Hello! Nicely yellow design! I like the minifigure fighter version better. The four clicky-hinge plates give it a really good look. For the miniature version, I think that a defined bridge area would improve the design. You could replace the yellow plate under the top 4x4 wedge piece with a trans-red 1x2 plate which would create a decent bridge. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  6. Hello! A nice little vehicle thatcould serve as great accessoire for many big dioramas. The flexible look is fantastic when moving over the dunes and hills. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  7. Hello! These are two great looking ships in a nice colour scheme. The guns and engines are very detailed. I have also two suggestions. The landing gear for the bigger vessel looks a bit too narrow. A ship that massive would need it wider for a stable stand. And as a minor suggestion, you mixed-up port and starboard. The right side (starboard) should have the green light, and the left side (port) should have the red one. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  8. Hello! A really excellent jeep you're presenting to us here. It's so good that I'm now keen on watching the movie again. I hope you havetwo glasses of water placed in the interior for one of the best scenes of the movie. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  9. Hello! Another great car you've built here. Instantly recognizable from the movie complete with the smooth spoiler on the roof When you look closely at the headlight slopes you notice that some have a printed number in them, and some don't. Anyway, that's probably one of the few where the mototblock piece works that great. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  10. Hello! That's simply great! You almost feel like sitting in the cinema yourself when looking at the images. I would be happy if all cinemas had these wide comfortable and stable looking chairs that you're showing us here. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  11. Hello! Including big pieces of different themes in a smooth way is not always easy. But You did an excellent job with the chasis. It merges perfectly with the curved design you have built. Very original idea and realised excellently! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  12. Hello! Whenever I see the cars of yours, I am impressed with the side patterns like the stripes of your emergency vehicles. I think it's great how you imitate the lines without stickers. Use the brick to get as close as possible. And you've done it perfectly again here. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  13. Hello! Well, I can't say much about the story yet, but I believe it's fictional. The photos are pretty nice as you can't see any background leftovers but only bricks instead. I like this a lot, and the little latern using the sextant is very original. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  14. Hello! I remember a highlight on "The Brother's Brick" a while ago, where someone built Modulex versions of the market street and café corner buildings. I digged it out, and maybe it's good for some inspiration of building tricks. Modulex Café Corner and Market Street Cheers, ~ Christopher
  15. Hello! There are several threads dealing with favourite sets, but also favourite minifigs, etc... Here's the overview: Topics with "favorite" in the title Topics with "favourite" in the title Most similar to this topics, both asking for favourite sets, are: - Favorite Star Wars Sets, What set is your favorite - Favorite star wars lego. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  16. Hello! A great continuation of your popular theme! The brown bricks standing out beneath the tan arches work really well here. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  17. Hello! Very nice and detailed interior again. My favourite detail is on the outside, however this time. It's the floatsam in the sewer which gives the environment around the creation a really realistic look. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  18. Hello! The spoilers make it even more speedy. On the third image with the front spoiler details you also see the headlights. Is the outer 1x1x2/3 slope only held in place by the sticker? They will be dragged away in a fast driven narrow cruve. The two-studs-wide version of them, the 1x2x2/3 slopes are also available in white these days. I hope they're in one of the BrickLink orders you mentioned. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  19. Hello! Brick-built wepaons as you show them here are always superior to prefabricated ones in my eyes. Yours are pretty nice. But I'll repeat what the community already pointed out. The cutle little basket is my favourite detail. I hope the girlfriend won't throw it after the little invaders. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  20. Hello! It's a german site unfortunately, but you can click through the pics to get some inspiration. Karsten Hildebrand is quite talented in modifying bricks with lights. His homepage is http://bricks.steinbohrer.net. On the left side you will an email link at the bottom if you want to ask for more information. I am sure he understands english. Some of his stuff is also on MOCpages which is in english. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  21. Hello! A quite detailed diorama! The foliage is really great with many original plants. Also the broken gate is nice as it shows the movement in the scene. What makes this scene most authentic in my eyes however, are the mud traces on the ground caused by the heavy tank. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  22. Hello! This is already quite impressive with all the little pieces everywhere. My favourite aspect is the use of the otherwise useless TECHNIC panels for the chest. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  23. Hello again, the white stripes are a good modification, however I liked the former roof lights better. Many modern cars of this sort have one single centered light-bar on the roof. Hence I preferred the first alternative of them. But I guess both versions exist in plenty numbers in reality. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  24. Hello! It's nicely smooth, and recognizable as Renault. But I'd appreciate some close-up pictures to see all the techniques used. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  25. Hello! The hook at the front is really a nice touch! I guess many owners don't care about colour consistence in reality, as long as the machine runs. That is represented well here. Cheers, ~ Christopher
