  1. Hello! It's great to see other people having fun with the creator sets. Your collection is amazing! It's fantastic to see how many different items you made out of only one set! All your models are highly creative and very inspiring! Thanks for sharing! ~ Christopher
  2. Hello! That is undoubtably a real gargantuan diorama. The whole thing itself as well as its little details are of great inspiration. I've watched this movie several times now and still find it amazing. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  3. Hello! Thank you for the inspiring report. It feels like having really been there, which is great as I only travel to real events. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  4. Hello! An instantly recognisable scene. It's nciely built with all the transparent elements resmbling the lava. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  5. Hello! Thank you everyone! I am glad to have the opportunity to share some EU stuff with you. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  6. Hello! The bent-over motor and windscreen unit really turned out nicely! You've used the right connections to make this a stable design feature. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  7. Hello! A really great building from the future! I like all the transparent elements! It would be great seeing this with real bricks because all transparent stuff will get a unique sparkling which makes the scene even more attractive. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  8. Hello! Thank you once again. I am glad to contribute to the community. Yes, I am aware of the larger cruisers. Minimizing an official set is not as easy as it might look like. Shrinking down lego shapes is more difficult than to shrink down Scifi of real-life stuff because of the already small scale of LEGO® sets. But I really want to make them, too, so finally I will be able to prsent something to you. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  9. Hello, I'd like to contribute something as well: The tetrahedron. Have a great week-end, ~ Christopher
  10. Hello! While the flower looks pretty nice, especially considering you've almost used slopes only, the flower vase compensates much of the flower's elegance unfortunately. I think the nice flower would look better in something more gracile with more transparent elements. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  11. Hello! I think Dr. Jones has good chances to escape as the pursuers look a bit clumsy making their steps. Good shot! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  12. Hello! When I read the topic I expected the usual car shape, but you surprised me! Nice pun with a nice outcome! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  13. Hello! You've proven to be an expert for large-scaled vehicles. Thus I have no doubt that the result will be fantastic. Have fun building, and keep us informed here. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  14. Hello! You've created something here what one would call a perfect scene. Everything is placed carefully with thought. All the excellent details merge into this felicitous diorama. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  15. Hello, and thank you for your comments. I am aware that such EU models are not among the most popular, and hence I will try to find those of the movies which are still missing in the colllection. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  16. Hello everybody! Today I'd like to present two lesser known ships of the Imperial Navy to you. Both ships from the Expanded Universe have the same length and a similar ground design. -------------------- Let's start with the small Gladiator-class Star Destroyer (click here for a referene image). These ships were used as escorts in the Old Republic and later as long range patrol ship in the Imperial Navy. Some of you may remember the ship from the animated Drods TV series where we learn about the "Demolisher". These ships were probably the smallest ships given the description "Star Destroyer". It has a wedge shape like the real Star Destroyer but with a large cut-out on the front which is the entrance to a huge hangar bay. More images and instructions are available here. -------------------- The second ship for today is the Imperial Broadside-class Cruiser (click here for a reference image). This is a typical ship invented for computer games. It's a quite simple and not very exciting design. It appears in the "Empire at War" game series. There's one interesting aspect however: three centered cannons. That's an aspect not easy to realize when you have only two studs in width. Fortunately a SNOT-technique helped out. More images and instructions are available here. -------------------- That's all for today! Thank you for your time and interest! See you around, ~ Christopher
  17. Hello! Now that these slopes have been mentioned, it might be helpful that there are new 1x4 slopes available in white these days. These could help to improve the angle in your nice design. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  18. Hello! A sleek design. You've used all those slopes very good to result in a nice shape. I would use a different colour for the guns, however, to give them more contrast from the rest of the ship. The same silver/pearl colour as you used for the "exhausts" in the middle would be a suitable colour. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  19. Hello! This is a very compact and very complex creation. It's hard to see all those nice greebly details, but it's very well photographed. My favourite detail is the use of the towball as saddle. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  20. Hello! Nice touch using the Octan colour scheme. I guess a ship with engines that huge would also be a very good fuel cutomer. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  21. Hello! A nice concept! It would be nice if the pieces were really available in the colours you used. I guess they would, if the prototype series had come true. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  22. Hello! A nicel looking space craft. One of the first using the new trans-bright-green colours. I like the use of the side-panels. Good function for these large pieces. Well, while I like the idea, I consider it problematic also. It is more easy when you use large sets with many pieces than taking a set with only few pieces. I really miss the alternate building examples on the backside of the boxes, and thus I like alternate building. There are numerous threads on this forum dealing with alternate models of certain sets. They're all very inspiring, so I am looking forward on more alternates from you. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  23. Hello! I always considered set 1968 as one of my favourites. Your enlarged version is a nice variant. It would be nice to see the middle cargo area filled with some containers. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  24. Thank you. I try to add as many original and moving details as possible. See you around, ~ Christopher
  25. Hello! Great idea to do classic-styled buildings. I think you'll get a nice city with more of these great creations. I think some glass slopes for the roofs would be a great addition to your otherwise fine garage. These can be found in many retro sets, like in this one here. Cheers, ~ Christopher
