  1. Hello! This is an outstanding complement of steampunked vehicles! They are very inspiring and provide many nice steampunk building tricks. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  2. Hello! Steampunk seems to have a small rennaissance currently. Many great creations are on the forums these days, including this one! I especially like the palm trunk pieces which make great wooden legs. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  3. Hello! When you're not so much familiar with the steampunk idea, looking at your great diorama gives an excellent impression of what steampunk is and how the building style works! Well done! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  4. Hello! My favourite piece use here is the octagonal underwater jet/engine. It's a very versatile piece and is in great use here. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello once again! It seems you have really been busy building! And it was definitely worth the time! I pretty much like, as for your other diroamas, the way you create the polygonal baseplate. It looks much better like a part of a wider scene than with a regular squared baseplate. Of course, the set idea and realisation is fantastic as well! Cheers, ~ Chris
  6. Hello! That's a wonderful diorama! It provides such a nice science-fiction feeling, it's a perfect space set! Cheers, ~ Chris
  7. To boldly go where no one has moderated before. ;-)

  8. Hello, and welcome to space! The speeder has some great connection techniques, and I like the use of the TECHNIC® gear together with the engine cylinders. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  9. Hello! An interesting design with those arches. Seeing your creation, I guess the SpaceDeigner Kit is worth buying! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  10. Hello everybody, and thank you very much for all the wonderful and encouraging comments! Oh, I did not run out of vehicles. I just felt, this EU vehicle also deserves its existence. A very original comparison, but there's something true in it. See you soon, and have a great week-end! ~ Christopher
  11. Hello! That's really a very inventive tree design! The twisted tubes are working out perfectly. You might want to take a look at this thread, where there is described how to link flickr images on the boards. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  12. Hello and welcome on the boards! Maybe you'd like to use this two-piece version: It's a common eye technique and looks formidable in brick-built creatures. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  13. Yes, maybe you're right, and it's worth doing some more additions to the line. Cheers, ~ Chris
  14. Hello everybody! Those of you who have already visited a Disneyland theme park, might know the Star Tours StarSpeeder 3000 (reference link). But is long more than that. The StarSpeeder 3000 has made it into the Expanded Universe (novels, computer games and roleplaying game). When you look at the shape of the StarSpeeder 3000, you will notice the increase in height of the main body by several small steps. This was very hardc to realise in mini scale. Using standrad plate heights would have grown the vessel too high very quickly after only few steps. It had to be half plate heights. The resulting mini vehicle is extremely compact. It has 120 pieces which is unexpectedly much. But only with this complex snot techniques the half plate steps were possible. Another challenge was to include details like windows and the blue stripes on the sides. The stripe could be done with 1x4 brackets which work well together with the headlight bricks. >>> Click here for building instructions. <<< That's it for today! Have a great week, and see you around! ~ Christopher
  15. Hello! A Planets of the Apes diorama would be a nice use for them. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  16. Hello again! Thank you for the nice comments! You are all right, it is indeed very old-school building / "classic"-styled. It also uses 2x2 slopes for the windscreen as for the old classic-styled cars. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  17. Hello! This is a wonderful Acclamator representation! Shape, and angles seem correct, and many nice greebles in the trench. The one thing that bugs me are the 8 cannons you added on the sides of the bridge tower. I can't remember seeing these in the movies, or in any of the source material I have. Maybe it's Clone Wars variant? Cheers, ~ Christopher
  18. Hello, and thank you for the praises! Well actually I orderd a dozen of them from different sellers on BrickLink to hopefully receive less yellow ones than those I had. The one shown here are the two best out of a dozen rare and expensive printed panels. Cheers, ~ Chris
  19. Hello everybody! Today I'd like to share my tribute to the Racer series "Tiny Turbos" with you. This relative new series comes with dozens of small racing machines to us today. They're racing like the devil! And when you race like the devil, you will see a lot of crashes, too. Therefore there exist tow trucks to transport the crashed cars back to the garage. A police car then later will join to bring you the ticket for racing too fast. But what if the driver was injured during racing? We have police cars, service vehicles, but no ambulance! Until now. The small ambulance car was designed a while back. It features the typical racer wheels, a lot of lights and red crosses. It is also not symmetrical meaning it has different sides as you will see. >>> Click here for instructions. <<< That's it for now. I hope you enjoyed the small trip into the Racers line. See you around, ~ Christopher
  20. Hello! Great review, I especially like the images of the new boat hull pieces. Although they are huge prefabricated pieces, I am looking forward to find alternate use for them. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  21. Thank you for the good wishes! :-)

  22. Hello! That's an original idea using the 3x3 facet bricks in the way you did! The shape turned out pretty well! On a sidenote it's quite funny that we had similar parts in mind but came up with completely different styles. About three weeks ago, I also posted another version of the prison Azkaban here. It also used facet bricks, but in a different way. (Please note that it's not my intention to hijack this thread; the link was just posted to enable the exchange of ideas between similar thinking builders. ) Cheers, ~ Christopher
  23. Hello! A great review of the new figures, thank you! I am looking most forward to get the new Godzilla minifigure which will be a very useful figure for mini builders like me. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  24. Hello! This is a great tribute to the 1x1 slope! You've used these little slopes very well to create the creature. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  25. Hello! At my building place, old and new colours are in peacful co-existence. After the "big colour change", the parts variety especially for light-bluish-gray was much smaller than for the old light gray. With the years parts variety for the new colours increased, but still today, some elements are only available in old colours. For me that's the reason to have both colour lines - old and new. There are many examples I could give, but let me just point out one recent moc. The 5 x 5 Facet Brick is only one of many pieces that only comes in old light gray colour. The Prison of Azkaban Cheers, ~ Christopher
