  2. Hello everybody! Finally I am able to present another model from the science fiction media to you. It's the Earth Alliance Starfury starfighter from the Babylon 5 TV series. Although I have to admit to never have seen the series, there are many challenging starship designs worth to be bricked. So let's start with a small starfighter. The cockpit block is a SNOT construction to attach the cockpit windows and the chin guns on the underside. The wings are the choice out of many tested possibilites to get the weird shape and angles right. >>> Click here for building instructions <<< That's it for today. If you'd like to see more craft from science fiction movies, feel free to have a look on my "About Me" page where you will find a summary at the bottom. Have a great sunday, ~ Christopher
  3. Hello Praier! These look really excellent. They are very motivating to create a little vignette or diorama with them to show them in their right place. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  4. Hello! Turning a road truck into a space glider is a quite inventive concept. And you still had parts left over to create a small landing pad. Very nice! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  5. Hello! There are so many great Harry Potter vignettes here currently, it's really a pleasure to see another one. The scene you've built is really a memorable one and is instantly recogizable. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  6. Hello! This is a great calendar, and truly superior to the official LEGO calendar set. The "daily modules" are a fantastic invention and their sliding in and out mechanism works perfectly. The way you displayed your calendar is also pretty lovely. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  7. Hello! A nice corridor you have built there. With many of these modules you could build an the entire layout of the castle. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  8. Hello! Another great Harry Potter vignette! Again, I like the many transparent pots which decorate the scene well. The photo manipulation with the semi-transparent Harry Potter also gives a great effect. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  9. Hello! A great little scene from the Harry Potter world. The room generates the right mood for Filch, and the wall decoration is very suitable. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  10. Hello! The complexity of this vessel is very impressive. The printed dishes work perfectly together with the greebly style you are using throughout your fighter. A very successful starfighter design. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  11. Hello! I quite like this undersea vehicle. The colour scheme works out pretty well, and all the details like propellors, grilles and other greebles make this a very authentic submarine vehicle. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  12. Hello! It's a simple and nice steampunk set. May I suggest to swicth the background for future steampunk models? The brown in the model and the brown of the background make the model a little bit invisible on the photos. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  13. Hello! Your unique building style is instanltly reconizable. It's another nice scifi board for your (I guess) quite huge collection. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  14. Hello! There are several things I really like in your scene. The canyon itself look very realistic and the perspective you have chose is very original. Furthermore I like the energy coupling of the pod racer you have built by merging two flame pieces. Works perfectly! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  15. Hello! Another great mini vignette! Besides the great models, I also like the socket you have created for them. Cheers, ~ Christophe
  16. Hello! The binoculars for the flamethrower backback are a great idea! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  17. Hello! Another great plane from the Queen of Sky-Fi! The wing constructions is very interesting where you used the wedge curved car canopys on the outer ends. I also think you have made the perfect minifigure pilot for this plane. Looks a perfect unit of machine and pilot. And furthermore, the Aquashark tail is a great theme cross-over. Cheers, ~ Chris
  18. Hello! That's what I call a perfect scene. It has great building objects, features nice techniques and has humour. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  19. Hello! There are many unusual connections here, enabling the slim construction of the aqua bike. So I think they're well applied here. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  20. Hello everybody, and thank you for the comments. From my side, I see no rules conflict. The task was to build an underwater version of an existing set. That's what I did. And here is why: Mankind is very adaptive to its environment, so I did not see the need to build a depressing representation of a destroyed world, but rather from a time when people had arranged with their new surroundings. Furthermore I thought that transforming this set into its underwater counterpart was much more challenging and than just giving the set a mouldy look. I am sorry that I could not force creativity into narrower regulations, and I am not sure if we should at all. If the forum administration sees the need to disqualify this entry, I will gladly accept this. In this case please adjust the title by removing "contest entry". Thank you, Christopher
  21. Hello! Those are really amazing. With all those functional elements, their battle armor comes very close to the original. I appreciate your successful efforts to create a fully functional figure out of bricks, and these would be an eyecatcher in every miniland-scaled exhibition. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  22. Hello! At the first look I thought this was a review on the older set as I could not remember the correct set number. But now I saw it's for the re-release of this year. It was nice to read about the fifferences bewtween new and old version, which were nicely pointed out. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  23. Hello! Thank you for the nice comments! I am not sure if I am done yet already with that set... But I don't want to stress your tolerance for these alternatives too much at the moment. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  24. Thank you for the comments! That is exactly the crux of the matter. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  25. Hello! A wonderful bird, and a great combination of building techniques! Slopes for the belly, plates for the back. You merged everything into a lovely shape. Cheers, ~ Christopher
