  1. As a Hungarian, I read these lines with an aching heart But I'm glad this story had a happy ending.
  2. I have a theory about "why people don't visit the Historica forum". But beware, the theory is very facepalm-ish! Even I'm a Eurobricks member for years, when I visited the castle forum, and saw "Guilds of Historica", I always thought "okay, that's the LEGO medieval boradgame section, I'm not interested. Get it? Heroica-Historica! I do hope I'm the only one who is so silly to confuse the two words. But what if I'm not? UPDATE: I just read the first post. Okay, so it is an excisting symptom.
  3. Maybe in the wall thread someone mentioned building the inside of Valholl, not just the walls. How about that?
  4. Great MOC! My favourite is the cooper's building though. I like civilian buildings
  5. Thanks for the feedbacks! After building I realised that it doesn't stand out from he wall, but checking the other towers not all of them stand out either, so I guess it fits well. As for the height, it is as high as the other towers.
  6. The North Tower, next to Omurtag Gate. (section 20) Click on the image for the topic and more pictures.
  7. The North Tower The North Tower defends the Omurtag Gate. From the height of the wall archers can shoot the enemy through crenels. There are even more room for soldiers on the top. The top floor can be accessed via a ladder. End of shift. I built a digital version of the Omurtag Gate to put it next to the North Tower. Due to some limitation in LDD, it has some small difference from the brick-built one.
  8. That's a simple 1x1 plate surrounded by two 1x1 and two 1x3 tiles :)
  9. The Walls of Valholl are getting wider
  10. The Bakery Food is important to every city. The good people of Valholl love all the delicacies that the bakery can offer. If you see the store sign of a croissant, you know that you are on the right place. The bread was just put into the oven, but the pretzel is ready to eat! The Toolsmith The site where all the hammers, axes, cleavers and other tools are made. These two gentlemen work day and night to assure that everyone in Valholl works with the finest quality tools. They work with metal and wood as well, so they have a wide knowledge about these materials. Of course in case of emergency, they change to produce swords and arrows. The Mint Economy won’t work without currency. The gold mines of Mitgardia provide plenty of resources to produce shiny little golden coins. As coining is a profitable activity, the mint looks a little fancier than other houses.

  14. I updated my post accordingly. And here are the first parts. The tower is yet to come.
  15. Hi all Mitgardians, I’m glad I’ve found this topic after I joined our guild a few days ago. As I see, this topic is still active and everyone can add new pieces to the wall of Valholl. I already have some ideas what I want to build and hope will be ready with them by the end of this week. If you’ve read my introduction in the Mitgradian thread, you know that I will make my builds using LDD and rendering. I hope this won’t disqualify me from this built. First I tried to find out, where I could place my structures. My plan is to build 3 wall segments and one side tower. As for the latter I didn’t have too much choice, as there is only one spot for it – the place is not fixed though. I went through this topic to know what other people built and to check what part of the wall is already built. I realized that the first post is not up-to-date, so I dared to make a new list and a new map that shows the status quo. On the map I greyed the spots that I already taken with a fix number, and greened the ones that are built, but don’t have a number taken. I chose numbers for them arbitrary to have as much of a contigous wall as possible. There is one exception if I may: Grimcrack,s house and Lydia’s house by soccerkid were placed on spot 7-8, but since there was a nice empty row at 6-9, I placed the tournament there, and the two houses next to them at spot 9 and 11. I didn’t want to be offensive and didn’t want to play the Big Boss Who Says How Things Should Be Done as a rookie, so I hope you find this summary useful. If I made any errors, please let me know. And one more thing, I would like to use tower spot 20 (as may tower plan has a similar style to the Omurtag Gate) and wall sections 21-23. UPDATE: I added Minstrels of Mitgardia by Garmadon (sorry, I didn't notice) and put his two creations on spot 22 and 23. And changed two places of Gimcrack the Inventor and Lydia the Seamstress by soccerkid to spots 11 and 12, so they are next door, as the introduction says. 1. The Commander's House kabel 2. 16. The rendering was done at 800x600 and yes, I'm using POV-ray.
  17. Another try with other rendering settings: And thanks for all the advises! As for the tiles, I don't like them using everywhere. I prefer them only for really smooth surfaces like ice or metal, and not for wood, earth or stone. As I focused on the building, I didn't want to make plant for now. I will try build more detailed terrain later.
  18. The Pharmacy of Lasvor Nirhad is located in Valholl on the main street, where many customers come by for the latest medicines that the owner offers. On the ground floor is the pharmacy itself. While waiting, customers can sit on a bench. The balance on the counter is an important instrument for all pharmacist! Behind the shopping area is the storage room where Lasvor can experiment with his new compounds to create even more effective drugs. On the second floor is the living area with a fireplace - which comes handy during the long Mitgardian winter - and among others a table with a couple of chairs.
  19. This gate reminds me of a gate in Hungary: Beatiful details, excellent work!
  20. Meet Lasvor Nirhad, the world-famous herbalist, pharmacist and warrior. He has been wandering in the mountains and woods for decades, collecting herbs and other ingredients for medicines and healing potions. He is also a skilled and fierce soldier, but his true power is healing the wounds of his comrades in battle. And now he would be proud to fight for the glory of Mitgardia!
  21. The point was not to be answered faster, but to have answers from many people. Free build looks okay, I didn't know that there are points in the 1st place Just showing what I can do is fun itself - but telling the truth even I don't know what I can do.
  22. Looks like Mitgardia will grow, because I'm planning on joining too. I also had a question and wrote to Ecclesiastes about it, but yes, if I ask here, maybe I get answers faster. So, is it possible to build my MOC using LDD? I have some bricks back at my parents house, but after my dark years had passed, I collect almost entirely CMFs, so I don't have too much bricks. I will build my sigfig in real bricks, but after that, I would like to show some MOCs in digital form. And showing how valuable I am , Str0ngbad, I've already found this thread about locations and creations in Mitgardia: http://www.eurobrick...1 And I find this community build particularly interesting: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=72986 Yooha
  23. Ha-ha, that's cute! As a child I never knew what R/R meant (since the hungarian title is different), but after more than 20 years I finally do!
