  1. FYI: I dropped the price of the instructions on Rebrickable from Euro 9,- to Euro 5,-. I also refunded the payment to the ones who already bought the instructions.
  2. This is awesome. It has the functions, it has the looks and most of all, it is totally original!
  3. Thanks for your interest. I have a few bad experiences with sharing 3D files, so I won't be sharing them. I'm sorry.
  4. Thanks for testing this out @agrof! There would have been less need to integrate them in frames ;-).
  5. Can you have axles with end-stop in the new diff. I mean with the end-stops inside the diff? EDIT: At the red gear end I mean, the other end can only take an axle outside-in.
  6. What is not indefinite about the movement in the examples I showed? They can move left endlessly and right endlessly. Or do you want something that is not confined to 90 degree steps?

  8. Well spoken ?! What I take from this is that my post in the lambo speculation thread about incapable TLG designers is actually an observation rather than a complaint.
  9. Of course TLG needs to take into account all kinds of requirements which are less important to MOC designers. And some MOC designers use parts in a way LEGO would never regard acceptable. However, when it comes to following a few simple guidelines that ensure a smooth running drivetrain, TLG designers are building blunder on blunder consistently. Look at 42056, 42083 and 42110, all models with completely flawed drivetrains. If you look at how straightforward jb70 could redesign the Defender's transmission, taking out all flaws and bad smells, it's a shame it wasn't like that in the first place. They seem to not know the characteristic of their own modeling language called Technic. And this bad design practice is not because they had to meet other requirements, like ease of build or parts count. It is plain incapability. One would expect some kind of progressive insight or gradually emerging best practices amongst TLG designers, but apparently there is no such thing. I have therefore also no expectations with respect to the drivetrain of the upcoming Lamborghini.
  10. Entry is done. Instructions are available on Rebrickable. More photos here.
  11. 20. Dune Buggy 2020 One of my first sets was the 8845 Dune Buggy. Since then I've always been intrigued by serious suspension travel. So for this contest I focussed on suspension and built the model I would have wanted if I would still have been a kid. WIP-topic can be found here. Instructions are available on Rebrickable. More photos here. Features: HoG steering Rear wheel drive with differential Fake V8 engine 2 studs ground clearance 2 studs suspension travel all around Double wishbone front suspension Trailing arm rear suspension
  12. +1 If you go with black, you lose the contrast between fenders and body. So I'd say yellow or white, but keep the fenders black. Yellow is my favorite.
  13. For me it's not an option to polish these balls until they move smoothly. It would feel like modifying parts, and that's one bridge too far for me. Using the blue pins as you do to tie the rim to the turntable is perfectly fine with me though, even though others would say it's not completely legal.
  14. Here's a few more final cutaways. Rotating parts: Suspension arms added: Transversal structures added: Lengthwise structures added: Complete: And some renders from fun angles:
  15. Have you tried flipping the rim? Then the CV-joint enters the axle hole of the rim by a full stud. The only other thing you would need to change is that you need to use 3L thin levers at the outer ends, not the levers with a pin at one end and axle hole at the other end. I haven't tried this myself, but as far as I could judge in Stud.io, this should fit. If you use the wheel the other side around, you should have a full stud connection. It could be that when you tried it was these parts preventing the wheel to slide over far enough. The outer ends of the 6 pinhole have some extra ridges. That might also explain why you had space between the turn table and the rim.
  16. Exactly. And if some collage-image is perceived as messy by some of us after all, then that will probably translate into less votes. Personally, I'm thinking of writing a blog-like post on my entry, put it into the original topic's first post and link every image in my entry post to that topic. What I'm trying to say (to @Jurss) is that your tactics could also be to lead people away form the entry topic to your topic. Btw, does anybody have a 3D file of the 42098 Car Transporter?
  17. This is coming together quite nicely! Would it be an option to use a 3L axle with end-stop for the steering wheel and 8T gear?
  18. This is without openable doors. You're right about kids, but my kids get a minifig in anyway. Dukes of Hazzard style
